Mapping of OID custom attribute to ovd attribute with different names

Hi We have requirement where my oid attribute say attributename1 is to be mapped with OVD attribute attributename2.
Is there any means by which i can do this mapping by default?

i solved one part of my problem.
But, now i have to get all attributes for each users and i couldn't find them. The getattributes method doesn't return anything (i 'd like to retrieve the first name, last name, adress ...)

How to find the mapping between the query/report and the role with technical names ?
Like in R/3 we can find the mapping using table AGR_TCODES or thourgh SUIM. However in BI all reports have tcode RRMX.
So. how to find the role for a given query/report like sales report with technical names?

I looked into this quite a while ago and cannot remember the exact details, but I think there were 3 tables needed together with a structure to explore with a function module, and you need to use the program ID to think them.
If you look in SQ01 then I am sure you will find one of the tables, and then search from there onward.
Alternately, while searching you might find a nice report which does this for you.

OIM 11gR2 - custom attribute with illegal binding on Create User form in published sandbox

I think I have managed to paint myself into a corner!
In OIM 11gR2 I have added a number of custom attributes to the "User Form" - some Text-, some Lookup-type attributes.
While customizing the "Create User" page within a sandbox and adding a SelectOneChoice item and fiddling around with its binding, I was distracted by a phone call and the browser timed out.
The binding property on the new item is now not correct and the sandbox has unfortunately been published, and I am now unable to enter the "Create User" page - when I try, I get the following:

Custom Attribut with type="time" ?

Hello experts
is it possible to display information from ex_data field type TIMS formatted as time in UWL column?
Is there a type defined in the uwl configuration or is it possible to define it by my own, somehow?

how did you manage to get the type "time" data even displayed as custom attribut? When i am trying to do so, the value of the time field is always empty. Even tho the conatiner is filled. For all other attributes it works, but not for the attribut/conatiner of type "TIMS"
What did you configure for your DisplayAttribute and what for your CustomAttribute?

Mapping and querying Custom Objects for a Contact with REST Api

We are hoping to get some details on managing DataCard set through REST APIs. Our implementation goal is to create Contacts and add Custom object for each Contact, or to be precise, add a DataCard Set for each Contact.
At the moment, to associate a DataCard Set (or Custom Object) to an existing contact, we are supplying following custom object fields during creation of Custom Object:

Would the REST API allow us to query the CustomObjects using the MappedEntityId value for later updates? If so, any pointers on how we approach that?

Either the MappedEntityID field is not available or I do it wrong, Eloqua is ignoring the field and does not map the custom record with the unique Contact ID

Custom Attributes in Target Group Email Campaign Not Refreshed

We have a campaign sending emails to a target group of BPs. To fill our custom attributes with values we have implemented our code in badi CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI method CRM_IM_BPSELE. We tested our code using the Test Send feature from the email form and all worked fine.
But when we ran the campaign in the background for a Target Group with multiple BPs it would not work correctly, our attribute values were incorrect.
We discovered while debugging the job, that the badi gets run once for each BP, but the attribute values from the previous BP do NOT get refreshed. In fact there are 2 entire sets of attribute records in the CT_ATT_VALUES table parameter. Each time through it multiplies by another set of our attributes.
I have put code in the badi as a workaround that deletes the previously filled attributes for the previous BP, but I'd like to figure out what is causing this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am facing the similar problem.
Though the BADi is not used for these two mails (it is used in some other mail forms), it is actually called in 'CRM_ERMS_MAIL_COMPOSE' Function Module and the process is same as u said. There are 2 sets of values.
I am using a Mail Alert functionality where in a 'Mail Alert ON' is sent to field engineers (FE) and then upon FE accepting the work we will send a 'Mail Alert OFF' to FEs.
Problem is, we get one or two fields data incorrectly sometimes. I am not able to find out the root cause yet.
Please let me know if you have had any resolution to this!

HTML 5 and Spry.. Making custom attributes valid

The HTML 5 spec is still a "Editors Draft" but doesn't mean browser haven't started intergating it. While i was reading through the specification i noticed that HTML allows you to specify custom attributes on elements (see: http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/Overview.html#embedding-custom-non-visible-data ). We all know Spry also uses custom attributes for the Spry dataset. These are typically prefixed with spry:action_here=""
At this point its not valid HTML even though, when serving your page as xhtml it should be valid.. as xml allows you to specify custom attributes as well. But that aside, with the release of HTML5 getting closer and closer we could make Spry attibutes valid if we started prefixing all custom attributes with data-
For example:
spry:region="ds1" => data-spry:region="ds1"
spry:if="0 == false" => data-spry:if="0 == false"
A switch to the data- prefix would require very little editing of the existing spry files. The only thing users would have to do, is switch to the HTML5 doc type declaring to make it valid. As this doc type has backwards compatiblity and do not force IE6 in quirksmode i feel this is better alternative to externalizing the custom attributes or waiting for browser to support extended doctypes.
So i wonder what you opinions are on this . Is Spry ready for HTML5 and is HTML5 ready for Spry ?

Am I excited about the upcoming HTML5? YES! But not because it validates our Spry attributes.
Spry, if used properly, already works well and the fact that it is not validated by W3C can be regarded as a curious fact. Sort of like a driver of mine that has not been validated by Microsoft; without the driver my hardware does not work. So what do I do?
Well for some people its not a problem that the pages do not validate. But there companies and clients who value validation. Its understandable because people are overhyping it. In this case, it would allow to validate out of the box, without any changes to your code. Making it easier for starting developers and create a W3C valid document.

Well doesn't really make a life easier. I'm currently creating my online resume in HTML and its harder... Normally you would just use divs for almost every layout wrapper now you got to choose between aside, section, article, details, hgroup, header etc. So much elements to choose from, but using them wisely is the hard part.
I am not excited about the fact that HTML5, being backward compatible, will come with the deficiencies of its predecesors
I am confused about the near simultaneous release of XHTML2. Where is the logic? Cannot the regulators and validators agree on a standard? I guess not. Even the browser-producers cannot agree on a standard. Remember the confusion with audio and video tapes?
All of this confusion only adds weight to my argument, who cares about W3C validation or Microsoft validation? if it works it works!
Some people like it strict some people don't, for performance reasons i actually choose for the loose version. It allows me to build a more compressed file .
Video codec wars are fun to.. Ogg vs MPEG. Using flash as fallback or silver light for unsupported browsers, or just generate multiple formats.. Hard to choose.. I personally hope h.264 codec will be used because its quality wise its much better. But we will see what the browser vendors will decide.

Idoc mapping into E1IDB02 with different qualifiers

I have to map a flat file to an Idoc (PEXR2002). Problem is in the flat file I have debitor and creditor informations wich have to be mapped into the same target segment named E1IDB02 with different qualifiers (BA for debitor and BB for creditor). Has anyone an idea how to do this?

Right click on this Segment E1IDB02 in the target nessage in the message mapping and say Duplicate Subtree.
Now, you can give each rule individually to this target element.

Advanced Pricing: A Custom Attribute is mapped to Std. Volume's ITEM_QUANTITY field, to be able to capture a user-defined volume onto the Standard Quantity field via. Attribute Mapping. However the expected behavior is not achieving. Still the PTE prices if off the OM/ASO's Quantity field, and not based on the number that goes into the attribute field.

When I create the Sales Order in OM, at the line level after entering the item, I entered a number in attribute10, then
also a value in the standard quantity field, and Save. The item had price
breaks defined in the pricelist. But the price returned was based on the value
in the standard Quantity field, not the value in attribute10. Even when I
reprice the line (Actions-->Price Line), there is no change.
Expected behavior is to get the Price off the Attribute that mapped to the 'ITEM_QUANTITY' field (which is a standard/seeded attribute).
Does anyone made such expected behavior to work (without being used with a Customer Price API)?

How to retrieve user custom attributes in OID programmatically

Hi,
I created a custom attribute named "location" in OID. Could someone give indication/portion of code showing how to retrieve this custom attribute "location" of a user programmatically?
For the moment, I just found sample code (using oracle.ldap.*) showing how to retrieve "uid" attribute of a user programmatically. I tried to get me inspired of this portion of code, but never succeed.

Export Custom Attribute Mapping

Hello Gurus!
I'm migrating a xMII 11.5 project to MII 12.1 and the migration tool was fine on creating the Custom Attributes and Custom Attribute Mapping. However, what I need now is to export Custom Attribute and Custom Attribute Mapping from MII 12.1 DEV to QAS and PRD.
My question is: When exporting Custom Attributes from Configurations menu, it will export Custom Attribute Mapping too? How can I export and import Custom Attribute Mapping from DEV to QAS and PRD?

have you tried the following:
- open System Management / Configurations
- unmark the "Select All" and only mark the "Custom Attributes"
- click export and save the zip file
The exported zip file should include all the settings. In your follow up systems QAS and PRD you can import the zip file.

Providing default value to OID 11g Custom Attribute

Yes my data source is LDAP. This attribute is added in the portal itself and I don't think it is possible to set the value of custom attribute at LDAP.
Shanta : We already created the custom attribute and it is also appearing in the Customized information
Problem is we need to set a value to that attribute. This should be same to all the users coming from LDAP.
My Basis people are asking the funtion module which calls when we click on the Customized information tab. Is that possible to know?
Or we can set this value by writing a piece of code in webdynrpo java?

Edit OID Object Class to Add custom attributes

Has anyone edited an existing object class( in my case orclADUser ) and added custom attributes to it?
If so
1) what is the best way to add it (oidadmin Schema management ? )
2) what is the impact on such custom attributes ?

Yes and no.
I've done this but I created my own classes in the oidadmin. Then I populated them.
My application searched through these attributes (in a separate part of the OID). One attribute pointed to the DN of the user.
Doing it in this way will ensure that standard software and updates will not break your setup.
