Idoc mapping into E1IDB02 with different qualifiers

Hi,
I have to map a flat file to an Idoc (PEXR2002). Problem is in the flat file I have debitor and creditor informations wich have to be mapped into the same target segment named E1IDB02 with different qualifiers (BA for debitor and BB for creditor). Has anyone an idea how to do this?

Hi,
Right click on this Segment E1IDB02 in the target nessage in the message mapping and say Duplicate Subtree.
Now, you can give each rule individually to this target element.

i want to access a Mapping Runtime Constant out of a message mapping specified with a qualifier.
In the Integration Directory i specified in the identifier tab the following Value Pairs:

In the message mapping i want to have the Name for the agency "R3T_310".
I know i can access the Name with:
constant = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.SENDER_PARTY);
But i getting everytime the name "ABC", which i don't want.
At this point i need your help, to find out how i can dynamically get the correct one??

Ilka,
You can also access other Mapping Runtime constants. For example, SENDER_PARTY_AGENCY.
If needed, you can also access SENDER_PARTY_SCHEME and SENDER_SERVICE.

How do I divide a movie into chapters with different duration?

Using Idvd, I want to divide a movie into chapters using with different duration. I´m trying to do a viedo dvd and I want each song to be a chapter, but the lengh of the songs is different

Has to be done in a movie editor like iMovie or FinalCut. And if You want a DVD as the result You should use
• iMovie HD6 - or -
• FinalCut any version
To get best possibly quality
• iMovie'08 to 11 - doesn't deliver full interlaced video over to iDVD - so there will be a quality loss
And here You can set Chapters - but there are some important things
• Do not set any Chapter mark in very beginning - as iDVD want's to set this by it self and get's confused
• No Chapter mark in any transition or within 2 sec from one - This can be worked around by from Video editor Export out as Full Quality QuickTime .mov and re-import this new file - Here You can set Chapter marks wherever You want except at very beginning.
• Titles in Chapters must not contain strange letters only A to Z and 0 to 9 are OK.

How can i map a file with different structures to several deep structures?

Hey experts,
here is my situation. I have to build a file2file scenario. The file has a flat structure without any separators. Depending on the value of the keyfield, i have to determinate, which kind of structure in the current sequence there is. Like i wrote, there isn't any fieldseparator, but for every possible structure (overall 4 types) i know the type by the length of every field in the structure.
My task is:
1. Read the file into PI and transform to XML
2. Map the flat structure depending on the keyvalue to the deep structure
3. Transform several fields in the different structures like the requirement
4. Write back the file via FTP as the same flat structure as before
Do you have any approach to solve the item number 2 (the other steps are clear for me)?
Do i need several mapping-programs? If so, how can i determinate the right mapping-program, deping on the keyvalue?

PO Rejection - ORDSP Idoc Errors in ECC with different process codes

Hi All,
We were testing the Scenario where the Supplier rejects a PO line item as part of the PO Collaboration. On rejecting the PO in SNC, it trigerred an ROC XML with AcceptanceStatusCode == RE. The same was passed on from XML to Idoc in the IDoc segment E1EDP01, field ACTION = "003".
However, such ORDSP Idocs was failing on the ECC side during Inbound processing with the following errors:
1. Acknowledgment for PO item 4400000XXX 00010 contains quantity variance: Message no. ME794
2. Price unit 0 from IDoc differs from unit of purchase order 1: Message no. ME729
3. Order price unit differs from unit EA from purchase order: Message no. ME728
4. Order units differ : Message no. ME791
5. Material number differs from that of ordered material : Message no. ME790
Note : We dont get these errors for a normal confirmation. It happens only with Rejection.
The deletion indciator could not be set in the ECC PO line item even after manually correcting the above errors in the Idoc and posting it.
Then based on this SDN Post: [PO rejection in SNC does not update the items in MM with ORDRSP;, we changed the WE20 settings. i.e., for ORDSP Idoc changed the Process code from ORDR to ORDR_SUS. After this change, the the above errors were eliminated and the the rejection data was also updated on the ECC PO by setting a deletion indicator. But we are having the following issues:
1. Though both the confirmation & rejection data are getting transferred successfully, the Idocs remain in status 52 (Application document not fully posted).
2. The message in the status record is "Rejection of PO item 4400000XXX 00010 with reason: Message no. ME749
3. Came across these 2 related SAP Notes:
a. #1087422 : But this is not applicable as the note states that this error will occur only if we delete the PO line item before hand in ECC.
b. # 66192 : This note suggets a custom solution. But actually all the info from the ORDSP Idoc are getting processed successfully (Rejection & Confirmation send in the same Idoc). Only the status of the Idoc (Status = 52) is concerning us.
Looking forward for inputs / suggetions from those who have used the Rejection functionality in SNC without custom development.

Rejections is handled like that only, can you please check whether note 1529579 is helpful
It is standard behavior, as it expects other segments to fill, but never the less the PO will be updated properly, its only problem
with the status of the idoc....nothing wrong in the data updation. The above note should be handy.

When type is *1*, This is *Car* and means that *VehicleID* maps to *Cars Table*,
When type is *2*, This is *Plane* and means that *VehicleID* maps to *Planes Table*.
And So On 3, 4, 5, 6 .. for Additional tables.
How can i map something like that? I can not merge these tables, they all must be separated..
I used to handle this by writing native SQL with some functions, however with JPA i could not figure it out..

I do not know an easy way to do this in pure JPA. EclipseLink though is able to do this using a variable one to one mapping:

Merging old sequence timeline into project with different sequence settings?

I successfully did this yesterday. But when I tried to replicate my efforts, I got different and unwanted results.
I have an old project created in Pro 2.0. It has a timeline that I want to keep. In the old project, the sequece settings did not match the source clip, so 2.0 overscanned in rendering.
I created the proper sequence setting in 5.5. Then I imported the original sequence from the old project. The first time I did it, it took the old timeline and merged it with the new sequence settings--a perfect result. Today when I try to replicate that effort, it brings in the old timeline, but applies the old settings, resulting the overscanned result.
How, step-by-step, do I get the result I want--an old timeline with new settings????

Let me clarify. What I'm trying to do is to correct the sequence setting without having to reassemble the whole project.
As I said, I was able to do just that yesterday, but have not been able to duplicate my efforts.

I am unable to map this as the condition has to be given with two qualifiers at a time.
Can some one help me out on this. Can we define the UDF where we can store this information as temporary variable. If UDF can be defined, please let me know with the details.

Performance issue with custom IDOC download into SAP MII

Hi,
We have a custom IDOC which has ten fields. We take the data from these ten fields and insert into database. The issue is
we have some where around 4500 idocs flowing into SAP MII and then from SAP MII to sql database. The time taken for these idocs is around 30 mins.
Is there a way where we can improve the performance in terms of time taken?
Additional information is
MaxReaderThreadCount has been set to 5 in Configuration Management -> Infrastructure -> Application Resources

Hi Manish,
My thinking about the queuing is that for each transaction, you are calling your database and passing in the IDoc content. Depending upon your system, database, transactions, etc., you may be having to establish a connection between MII and the database each time you process an IDoc. Each "handshake" takes a finite amount of time. So queuing up the IDocs, establishing a single DB connection and processing large numbers of IDocs in a batch might reduce your processing time substantially. Something worth investigating.
I don't think that adding additional IDoc Listeners for different IDoc types will work if the source ECC system is the same for each type. It will simply use the first one it finds and process all the types there.
Additional threads may improve performance and is certainly a low risk, easily implemented test. Just do it in small increments as you can add too many threads (check with the NW administrator) and lock up your NW system.
And you may want to check with your DBA to see if there are limits on the connections which MII can establish for uploading the IDoc content (or for that matter, any other improvements to be made on the DB side).

IDOC in transformation step with multi mapping

I have found this posting
Splitting a message into multiple Idocs
and now I am a little bit afraid that our planned process using BPM is not working:
a) XI receives an IDOC
b) XI continues with calling an external system sync.
c) Sync message response and IDOC are used to be merged into one new message M using transformation step (2 messages into 1 new)
d) send message M to receiver
Now I have read (see link) that IDOCs cannot be used in such multimapping steps. Is this true?
Can anybody give some information?

So I think there is a misunderstanding in using the "multimapping" term?
Multimapping in a simple Interfacemapping for 1 sender to n receiver is different from the "multimapping" issue in a transformation step in BPM?
The central assumption in the mentioned blog was:
IDOC cannot be used in multimapping because IDOC adapter runs on ABAP engine.
In BPM transform step we are on Java side and using XML payload! So this will set us apart from the IDOC adapter ABAP engine issue?

Posting Idocs with different users

Hi folks,
I have a simple scenario, File -> PI (7.0) -> ECC (Idoc)
I would like to know if there is a way to post the Idocs with different users, for example, in the source file a field contains the user that has to post the Idoc, so I'd like to map that user as the one that posted the Idoc.
Is it possible?

Prateek, the issue here is that this is a part of a whole process where are involved many handhelds.
With this handhelds, first there is an authentication of the users (via RFC) to see if that user has permission or not, and after that, if successful, when PI posts the data fetched from the handheld, they want to know the user that posted that info in ECC (IDOCS); supposing that it was the same user that did the validation before.
