Mapping of status codes to text

I'd postponded this question because I thought I must have overlooked something. But I don't seem to be able to locate anything that deal with it.
I have a lot of metrics that return a integer value representing a certain status name. My MIB files map these numbers to text that explains the code. But the device will only respond with the code itself. How can I create that same map in the target metadata? So when I get code 1, I get a text string "Working" printed. And if the code is 2, I get "Error, no power", and 3 "Error, battery dead" etc. etc. A traditional switch statement.
COMPUTE_EXPR might help, but I don't know what functions it can handle. And I can't seem to find something like this in the samples? Is COMPUTE_EXPR documented somewhere?

You can add a COMPUTE_EXPR (as specified below) to do the mapping [where 'Last_Run_Outcome_Raw' is the raw/int value retrieved from the target, which needs to be mapped to a meaningful string value]
COMPUTE_EXPR="(Last_Run_Outcome_Raw == '0' ? 'Failed' : (Last_Run_Outcome_Raw == '1' ? 'Succeeded' : (Last_Run_Outcome_Raw == '2' ? 'Canceled' : (Last_Run_Outcome_Raw == '5' ? 'Unknown' : Last_Run_Outcome_Raw))))
There are various other uages of writing compute_expression, e.g., comparing, finding sub-set, etc. I will try to hunt out a related document and send it across.

  • Mapping of status CRTD,AALK with Technical names

    Hi all,
    We have Client requirment in which we are preparing Customized program which will download Budget data for a particular Project.
    After executing this customized z transaction, we are giving following inputs.
    Proj Def.
    WBS Element
    Version
    Scope
    Scale
    Level
    Status
    It works fine if we are giving Status as I0001,I0005,I063,I0064,I0360 which is Technical name derived for Status ( From PRPS & JEST table ).
    But Client wants to put status CRTD,AALK in that.
    Any idea how status CRTD,AALK,REL mapped in Technical field.
    Any pointes on this issue will be highly appericated. Points will be rewarded for useful answers.
    Regards
    Tushar

    Tushar,
    The correspondance between the status "code" and "text" is in table TJ02T.
    I don´t know if this will be useful to your needs.
    Regards
    Martina

  • MBAM 2.5 integration broke my Primary Site Server - Managment Point http status code 404, not found

    I uninstalled MBAM 2.0 and installed MBAM 2.5. During 2.5 installation there was this one section to enter "Web service application pool domain account", where I entered domain admin account. I don´t know if that has any effect on this problem.
    Though, situation now is that my site is now out of order because of Management Point cannot connect to IIS or something like that.
    In status messages I see "MP Control Manager detected management point is not responding to HTTP requests.  The HTTP status code and text is 404, Not Found. Message ID 5436".
    In mpcontrol.log I see Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 80 with status code 404, text: Not Found
    I have tried:
    Bindings checked, that http uses port 80
    MP component is uninstalled and reinstalled succsessfully
    Primary site server has restarted several times
    In IIS, Default Site -> SMS_MP->Basic Settings I did "Test Settings". With pass-through authentification it cannot Access the D:\SMS_CCM path, I changed to the domain admin, and it succseed. I have no idea, does this have something to do
    with it.

    I have experienced all the above problems also and they can be a pain to fix. I guess the moral of the story is (as Andy says) leave the ConfigMgr server alone. If you want an MBAM server then build an MBAM server.

    Hmm, I guess ConfMgr integration will not be the problem if your MP is using http(80) and MBAM will use https(443). If you then set spn to https, it will use 443 as-is, right? But other custom ports might be the problem?

  • Error status code 400 with the description Message mapping failed

    Hi,
    I tried to build RFID outbound scenario using ECC 5.0, XI and AII 2.1.
    When I send IDOC message:AIDOPMSG.AIDOP01 from ecc 5.0 to XI(ouput message type is OperationalIn and message mapping is OperationalInTo), i get following error:
    <SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK</SAP:Code>

    I am using standard AUTO-ID 2.1 XI contents. If any of you have encountered such error message, then could you please help me understand the meaning and how to fix it.
    thanks in advance,
    Ashit

    hi Ashit,
    take a look at my weblog on how to test your mapping:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/16/xi-how-to-test-your-mapping-in-real-life-scenarios
    maybe with this you'll be able to find out the error

  • Lync 2013 Clients in Child Domain Log "The server returned HTTP status code '403 (0x193)' with text 'Forbidden'."

    Hey All, I am really stumped on this one.
    Environment - Is using split DNS
    Forest Root Domain - Contains new Lync 2013 Server Standard, ADDS, DNS, Enterprise CA, Workstations
    Clients in this domain connect and work beautifully. No errors.
    Child Domain - ADDS, DNS, Workstation, Lync 2013 client
    Client autodiscovers, and then asks for a password. Enter the password and this comes up...
    Can't sign in to Lync, You didnt get signed in, It might be your sign-in address or logon credentials..  blah blah blah"
    Client log shows
    Error:
    There was an error communicating with the endpoint at 'https://domainlync13srv.Domain.net/WebTicket/WebTicketService.svc'.
    The server returned HTTP status code '403 (0x193)' with text 'Forbidden'.
    The server understood the request, but cannot fulfill it.
    As far as i can tell certificates are correctly configured with all the SAN's possible in my forest. The user is correctly set up in Lync control panel. Autodiscovery seems to be working as it should. EWS is working correctly.
    Repaired client, removed cached creds, has all lync 2013 updates no dice
    Thank you all!

    I am an IDIOT.
    I did not prepare the child domain with the LYNC setup tool. Logged on to a file server in the child domain with domain admin rights and sure enough the setup said the domain was "partial". Ran the setup and bam it all started working.

  • How do I set the response status code for a request in ADF?

    For example:
    I have a page accessible like page.jspx?id=$ID, in which $ID identifies an object stored in a database. The user navigates to page.jspx?id=abc. abc does not exist or has been deleted. I wish to set the response status code to 404 for the page request, like, for instance, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=abc does. How do I do this?
    PS: Changing the status code for subsequent partial submits on the page if the object is deleted while the user is on the page (e.g. if the user attempts to delete an already deleted object through a "Delete" button on the page) may also be desirable, but would probably not fit in as well with the ADF lifecycle or be as useful.

    Maybe I should be more specific about the current state of the code. It's something functionally similar in relevant portions to the following. For the purposes of this code, assume the ID maps only to a name, rather than a more complicated object:
    page.jspx looks like:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page"
         xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
         xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich"
         xmlns:trh="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/html" version="1.2">
         <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=utf-8" />
         <f:view>
              <af:document binding="#{pageInitializer.dummyComponent}" title="#{pageData.name != null ? pageData.name : 'Object Not Found'}">
                   <af:outputText rendered="#{pageData.name != null}" value="#{pageData.name}" />
                   <af:outputText rendered="#{pageData.name == null}" value="No object was found at this URL." />
              </af:document>
         </f:view>
    </jsp:root>pageInitializer and pageData are pageFlow-scoped beans with the following code:
    class PageInitializer {
         @Inject private PageData pageData;
         @Inject private NameDao nameDao;
         @PostConstruct
         void initialize() {
              String name = nameDao.getNameById(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap().get("id"));
              if (name != null)
                   pageData.setName(name);
              else
                   // TODO: Set status code 404
         public void setDummyComponent(UIComponent dummyComponent) {
         public UIComponent getDummyComponent() {
              return null;
    public class PageData {
         private String name;
         public String getName() {
              return name;
         public void setName(String name) {
              this.name = name;
    }The code initializes the data from the database through the initilaizer of a pageFlow-scoped bean with a dummy setter for the document because I read somewhere that that would work, and it seems to work, even though it seems hacky.
    Ideally, the code would render the 404 where it currently says (// TODO: Set status code 404). I realize this may not even be possible given the current architecture, because part of the response body has already been rendered, and I believe, but cannot find a source to cite, that the status code and headers cannot be set after the body has started being rendered. Is there any architecture that would get me this page's functionality (even if it's two JSPXs on the backend (which might be ideal)) and be able to render a 404 for an inexistent object?

  • Error in file-file scenario: HTTP response contains status code 503

    Hi folks,
    I've encountered the foll error in file-file scenario:
    Testing file-file scenario (followed the blog: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/flatFILETOFLATFILE&)
    Initially i was hving problems with recvr comm channel, which are now resolved. File is sent successfully but not recvd. I tried to modify the scenario above and change the file type to 'Text' but still got the same error.
    I've checked SICF -->default_host/xi/engine , we dont maintain logon data there. when i test the default_host/xi/engine service, it resolves into an ip addr as follows:
    http://<hostname>.<domain.com>:8001/sap/xi/engine?sap-client=<clientNo>
    (Also, we hv a BW system running on the same server ,which uses a fully qualified domain, while we dont which is why we get the above domain. Im not sure if there are any issues with that.)
    and we get the foll error:
    Error Code 10060: Connection timeout
    If i remove the domain manually, im prompted for userid/pwd and get the foll result:
    - <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

    Hi ,
    Look in to this for all errors
    /people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2006/07/23/http-errors-in-xi
    The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay MAY be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.
    Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
    Possible Tips: Because of J2EE application com.sap.aii.af.ms.app not active
    • Try to (re)start the application using the Visual Administrator Choose Server --> Services --> Deploy --> View on Application or restart the J2EE engine
    • The problem is that not all J2EE services can be started by the J2EE. i.e Start the Visual Administrator and select Server->Services->Deploy in the tree on the left. On the right-hand side, choose the Runtime tab page. You see a tree in the right window with all applications if you select the APPLICATION radio button. Check if they are running, otherwise choose Start. Usually the J2EE engine starts all services automatically.

    Hi,
    The 'Communication Channel' in Integration Builder was not configured right in the 'Service Number' field. There was a J2EE port instead of HTTP port.
    J2EE port: 5<instance number>00
    HTTP port: 80<instance number>
    Good luck to everyone,
    Dimitry

    Result: I am getting status code of 404. I am not able to figure out why it is happening.
    FYI, Using `WinINet`,  I have followed the same procedure, I am getting status code of 200, which is success. But my requirement is to use only `WinHttp`.
    Could any one please help me out to solve this issue. This is very urgent for me.

    Dear Henri,
    Thanks for your reply, it was really very helpful.
    I debugged
    HTTP session with Fiddler,
    I am getting certificate error.
    When I say 'Yes' in Fiddler, I am getting 200 success.
    Could you please help me out how to
    "Ignore certificate errors" using WinHTTP
    API's.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Best Regards,

  • HTTP response contains status code 503

    Hi All,
    Im working on File to JDBC scenario using MsAccess.My file is been picked by XI from the sender folder (im using NFS at the sender side), but it is not inserting the data in the table which i have created on the server.
    When i do SXI_MONI , i'm getting a error in call adapter "HTTP response contains status code 503 with the description Service Unavailable Error while sending by HTTP (error code: 503, error text: Service Unavailable)".
    Plz do help me to solve it.
    Thanks,
    Suma

    Hi,
    503 Service unavailable
    this is because of the server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server.
Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
    you can go for the possible solution as mentioned below:
    Because of J2EE application com.sap.aii.af.ms.app not active
    1. Try to (re)start the application using the Visual Administrator Choose Server --> Services --> Deploy --> View on Application or restart the J2EE engine.
    2. The problem is that not all J2EE services can be started by the J2EE. i.e Start the Visual Administrator and select Server->Services->Deploy in the tree on the left. On the right-hand side, choose the Runtime tab page. You see a tree in the right window with all applications if you select the APPLICATION radio button. Check if they are running, otherwise choose Start. Usually the J2EE engine starts all services automatically.
    3. Refer SAP Note 803145,807000,791655
    4. In Visual Admin, check if all the required services are running and start them, else restart the Java Stack in the XI server.

  • How to Implement HTTP Request Status Code Processing

    I actually have two questions. First, I wondering how to add multiple status code processing to an http request. Secondly, I was wondering how to go about using alternate http requests to different servers in case the primary server is down. What kind of parameter would the program use to determine that the server is unavailable and switch to another server??
    Currently, the program I've written calls an rdf server (http://www.rdfabout.com/sparql) using a sparql query,
    the server returns an xml string, the program parses it, and calculates numbers
    from the string. The program works, but the problem is that the server is down occasionally.
    When the server is down, we need to add calls to another server to
    increase reliability. So, the next task is to call this server:
    http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/ZipDemo2000.asp
    I need to do exactly the same things I did with the rdf server. The
    difference will be constructing a request and a bit different parsing of
    the response.
    current SPARQL query is defined as follows:
    PREFIX dc:  <http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/>
    PREFIX census: <http://www.rdfabout.com/rdf/schema/census/>
    PREFIX census1: <tag:govshare.info,2005:rdf/census/details/100pct/>
    DESCRIBE ?table WHERE {
    <http://www.rdfabout.com/rdf/usgov/geo/census/zcta/90292> census:details
    ?details .
    ?details census1:totalPopulation ?table .
    ?table dc:title "SEX BY AGE (P012001)" .
    }current HTTP Request is defined as follows:
    import java.net.*;
    import java.net.URL;
    import java.net.URLConnection;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.io.DataOutputStream;
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.StringReader;
    import java.io.InputStreamReader;
    import java.io.PrintStream;
    import java.util.Scanner;
    import java.util.regex.Matcher;
    import java.util.regex.Pattern;
    import java.util.Arrays;
    public class MyConnection
         static Scanner sc = new Scanner(System.in);//allows user to input zipcode
        public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception
             int zip;//zipcode is declared as integer format
            //User defines zip through input
            //proceed to put SPARQL query into string, which is then used to call the server
            String requestPart1 =
            "query=PREFIX+dc%3A++%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fpurl.org%2Fdc%2Felements%2F1.1%2F%3E+%0D%0APREFIX+census%3A+%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.rdfabout.com%2Frdf%2Fschema%2Fcensus%2F%3E+%0D%0APREFIX+census1%3A+%3Ctag%3Agovshare.info%2C2005%3Ardf%2Fcensus%2Fdetails%2F100pct%2F%3E+%0D%0A%0D%0ADESCRIBE+%3Ftable+WHERE+%7B+%0D%0A+%3Chttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.rdfabout.com%2Frdf%2Fusgov%2Fgeo%2Fcensus%2Fzcta%2F";
            String requestPart2 = "" + zip; // zipcode is transformed from int to string format and plugged into SPARQL query here
            String requestPart3 =
            "%3E+census%3Adetails+%3Fdetails+.+%0D%0A+%3Fdetails+census1%3AtotalPopulation+%3Ftable+.+%0D%0A+%3Ftable+dc%3Atitle+%22SEX+BY+AGE+%28P012001%29%22+.+%0D%0A%7D%0D%0A&outputMimeType=text%2Fxml";
            String response = "";
            URL url = new URL("http://www.rdfabout.com/sparql");//designates server to connect to
            URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();//opens connection to server
            // Set connection parameters.
            conn.setDoInput (true);
            conn.setDoOutput (true);
            conn.setUseCaches (false);
            // Make server believe we are form data…
            conn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
            DataOutputStream out = new DataOutputStream (conn.getOutputStream ());
            // Write out the bytes of the content string to the stream.
            out.writeBytes(requestPart1 + requestPart2 + requestPart3);
            out.flush ();
            out.close ();
            // Read response from the input stream.
            BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(conn.getInputStream ()));
            String temp;
            while ((temp = in.readLine()) != null)
                 response += temp + "\n";
            temp = null;
            in.close ();
            //parsing stuff is taken care of after here
    }What remains now is to:
    1) add status code processing: notify if the server is not available, ect.
    2) add ability to connect to additional server if primary server is down.
    I'm thinking an if/else statement, which I've tried a few different ways,
    but I don't quite know how to implement that...Also trying to add the
    status code processing/error handling, but I'm not sure how to do that
    for multiple/different errors, such as 404, 503, 504, ect.. try/catch statements?
    So yeah, just been scratching my head on this trying to figure out how to work it..
    If you can help me out on this, I've been going nuts trying to figure this out...

    I think your issue comes form the fact that you are not casting URLConnection to HttpURLConnection.
    Doing the cast would allow you to use getResponseCode() - among other methods - and test for a response different than 200.
