MapViewer , wrong label orientation

I'm using mapviewer label to display highway name, but sometimes the orientation make the label very unreadable.
Is it possible to change the label orientation on a road?
I need just an horizontal position.
thanks

If the highway names are short, like the numbered highway names, you can use a marker style as the label style. The highway names will be horizontal and fit inside the marker. Here is an example. The style M.SHIELD1 is a marker style.

  • OVS Buttons with wrong Label on Portal

    Hello,
    I have a Web Dypro application that uses an OVS. The OVS works fine and looks fine when I test on my locally installed Application Server.
    But when I run the application on the Portal ( the OVS opens fine and does its functionality) the OVS Button "Go" does not have the text "Go" written on it, it has the text "view.MainView.gr.c.tc.goSearch.text" written on it.
    there is also an other button next to the "Go" button that i do not see when I run the OVS locally. This is the button "Exit" also with the wrong label "view.MainView.gr.c.tc.exit.text".
    The portal team assumes that this behaviour is connected with a prior path, but they do not know exactly.
    Can you help? Is it a Bug that was caused with a Patch?
    Is it possible to fix/ override the button's texts?

    Hi all
    We are running NW SP17 and has experienced same problem. Do you have some solution for this bug....
    I have opened OSS message for this but it is not touched for a month...
    I realy appreciate your help in this topic

  • Label oriented points horizontal

    Hi,
    rotated labeling with oriented points works fine (only as whole image theme as we learned here!).
    But what if I would like to label some objects horizontal in some case? It is possible to use a marker style with text definition as label style. Then the labels are horizontal, but I can't use effects like halo or sticky then. Is there an other way to ignore the orientation?
    Best Regards,
    MH

    Hi MH,
    labeling of oriented point features always respect the orientation angle. There is no custom parameter to ignore the orientation in this case.

  • Changing Label Orientation for an iPhone App

    Is there a way to display the contents of a label upside down, independent of the phone's orientation, either programmatically or within the interface builder of the SDK?

    I can't guess what might be causing the label to simply disappear. I couldn't find the test bed I originally made for the code I posted so I made another one. I pasted the code directly from your thread into the new test bed, and it worked just as it had in the first ted bed.
    I'll describe how I built my test bed so you can make your own. I think this would be worthwhile for you, since you won't be able to focus on any problems in your project code until you rule out a problem with the code I gave you.
    1) Start with the Xcode View-Based Application template; I named my project TurnLabel;
    2) In TurnLabelViewController.h, add a UILabel var/property, and add an IBAction doSomething;
    @interface TurnLabelViewController : UIViewController {
    IBOutlet UILabel *label1;
    @property (nonatomic, retain)IBOutlet UILabel *label1;
    -(IBAction)doSomething;
    @end
    In TurnLabelViewController.m, add doSomething and paste the code from this thread above it;
    @implementation TurnLabelViewController
    @synthesize label1;
    - (void)rotateLabel:(UILabel*)label {
    [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL];
    [UIView setAnimationDuration:0.5];
    [UIView setAnimationDelegate:self];
    CGAffineTransform transform = label.transform;
    transform = CGAffineTransformRotate(transform, M_PI);
    label.transform = transform;
    [UIView commitAnimations];
    -(IBAction)doSomething {
    [self rotateLabel:label1];
    - (void)dealloc {
    [label1 release];
    [super dealloc];
    @end
    3) Open TurnLabelViewController.xib in IB and add a label and a button to the view;
    4) Connect the view controller outlet to the label;
    5) Connect the button (touch up inside) to the view controller's doSomething method;
    6) Build and Go;
    7) The label should rotate 180 degrees without vanishing each time you hit the button.

  • Wrong Photo Orientation

    Hi there.
    I just upgraded to Z1 Compact and while copying new photos I noticed my vertically taken photos are shown rotated left. Looks like all photos are taken in Width>Height resolution 3840x2160. This is fine for horizontal photos of course but Vertically taken photos appear sideways on my PC. My old HTC Desire S automatically adjust photos taken vertically to correct resolution by default (in sony it should be 2160x3840 if it did it the same way) which is what common sense suggest (photo Height should be bigger than Width)
    Photos appear in the way they were taken in Album and such on the phone and I basically would like to get them copied to my PC the same way. Is there a way to do it on the fly or change some options I can not find to do so? I can of course rotate them manually in my photo explorer but it will be pretty annoying woth hundreds of pictures
    Please let me know if you can help me out with it, cheers, Dan.

    I just copied it to a folder, dont even have to use software to view them as Explorer icons' options shows minatures. Like I said all photos are taken in the same resolution which is 3840x2160. Xperia itself adjust it to display them in proper manner but if you choose photos details from menu you can see the resolution which is one above. Vertical photo should be taken in "vertical" resolution of 2160x3840 (basically Width should be much less than Height).
    Tried to get more info about this photo and with "Photos" software on my phone if you go to details you can see "Orientation" parameter set to 90 for vertical photos. So phone takes photos in one resolution it seems and then just insert its own modyfier to rotate and display these photos properly. I believe this parameter is lost when doing simple drag and drop on these photos resulting in them being not rotated.
    Just my take on this, any other ideas let me know, cheers. Dan

  • Photoshop cs4 wrong exif orientation in File Info

    I've been playing around with Exif orientation data, and CS4 always shows the orientation as "Normal" in File -> File Info. However, looking at the same EXIF information with other programs (e.g. Picasa), I see the appropriate rotation information, which is consistent with how I took the photos. Is this a bug in Photoshop CS4? I took the photos with an iPhone 4, by the way.

    eliot1785 wrote:
    Is there a way for me to upload the file to the forum without stripping the EXIF information? Would be interested if you see the same thing on your Mac.
    No; but you can upload it to an FTP server or a service like Dropbox or the free yousendit.com and post the link to it here.

  • PS elements 6 - wrong photo orientation when printing

    PS Elements 6 on Windows XP.  Trying to print a 4x6 photo to an Epson PictureMate. On printing, PSE won't print full 4x6 page, and rotates it to the opposite direction of the printer settings.
    Photo was shot, corrected and cropped in landscape orientation.  When picturemate is set to Portrait, naturally PSE wants to print the photo on just the upper half of the page.  If I change printer orientation to landscape, PSE rotates photo 90 degrees to print on the left half of the screen, (see screenshot below)
    Once exported, the photo it prints fine, as a full page 4x6, via Windows Print Utility, but I'd prefer to not have to make 2 copies of every photo I want to print. Seems to be some miscommunication between PSE and printer.
    Has anyone else had this problem?   Google & forum searches were inconclusive.

    Yes, I experienced this problem with 4x6 prints.  I was unable to resolve the issue regardless of what settings I used.  I didn't try to print, as the preview did not look right, and gave up.  Ended up using PMB program that came with my camera to print on 4x6 prints.  I have Adobe configured as it's external editor and simply save the edited photo from PSE6 and it shows up in PMB.  Go back to PMB, find it and print it without issue.  Sad, but true.  It's a good thing I got PSE6 with my printer, as I would not have been happy spending money on it.  I've seen beta freeware that works better in the basic stuff, but none really as good as Adobe's photo edit results (good algorthyms/filters).  I would like to see just a "Photography" version without all the graphic artists crap.  Remember "Elements" is basically a try before you buy the full version.  If they made it too good, you would not want to get rid of it and upgrade to hopefully the "better" fully sized program LOL.  The photo editing quality was already good before Adobe aquired the program, and since, they have repackaged them in "upgraded" GUI's.  If you ditch the GUI of Adobe, and use the editing like myself with PMB, it works okay.  What you will find is that because it's photography, software created for use is disfunctional in one way or another for every program and you have to purchase several, if not many, programs to achieve good results; uiltizing aspects of each of these programs that the other can not or will not do properly.  It's all marketing and yes it's a scam to make as much money off a person's hobby to take and make quality photos, and print/publish, and business is good... greed is good

  • Wrong label marking (LR3)

    In a smart collection with photos coloured purple, when I select 1 photo by the clicking the photo itself (not the rim) and set the label to another colour (e.g. red) by clicking the colour on toolbar, one next photo is being labelled as well (in case the photo is the last in the collection, one previous photo is labelled), which is really annoying.
    If I select a photo by clicking the rim, or use a key shortcut, the labelling works properly.

    I have made some more research about it. The labelling by different colour unlabels the first photo, whereas it labels the second photo by selected colour. And it does not matter how you select the photo. It occurs not only for purple smart collection.
    Now try this guide to recreate the error.
    1. Create smart collection with setting: Match - all - of following rules: Label color - is - purple.
    2. Mark about 5 photos or more by purple color (in my case, respective photos are from one folder)
    3. Go to smart collection
    4. Select one photo (let us call it photo A)
    5. click on a red label on a bottom toolbar to change the photo label to red colour
    6. if 2 selected photos disappeared from smart collection, go to 11, else:
    7. press Ctrl + Z (undo)
    10. go to 5 (repeat it 10 times at least until 2 photo disappear)
    11. now, 2 photos should have disappeared from the purple smart collection: the photo A should have its purple label removed, and the photo next to A should be coloured red
    12. you can undo it by pressing Ctrl + Z twice
    Maybe the problem is in distinguishing mouse clicks, because marking with keyboard works fine and the error occurs almost randomly.
    I have Logitech G9x mouse (no problems so far). I have even tried to swap the mouse buttons to make sure it is not broken/performing very quick accidental double clicks, but for right button, it did the same. And in case of double clicks, both photos would have red labels, which is not what I registered.
    My Win7/64 is updated.

  • Wrong Labels of "Sort" buttons for e-mail

    Hi,
    I am having issue with the e-mail labels on the tablet. When I enable "sort buttons" in e-mail, the first column on left has the "Subject" button and the second column has the "Name" button.
    Under the "subject" button shows the Senders Name and under the "Name" button, it shows the e-mail subject.
    I've actually went into a Sonystyle Store tonight in Glendale, CA to seek help but the tech support folks were baffled too. We also checked other tablets on display and all of them have the same issue.
    Is this an Android OS issue? since the e-mail client is part of the OS. When do you expect a fix to be deployed via update?
    btw, my tablet was shipped to me with the 3.2 OS.
    thanks!

    treasureshell,
    We have now fixed this issue. Please update to android 3.2.1 release 2 which was released today at 10am pst.

  • ITunes Backup trying to burn to wrong DVD burner

    My MacBook Pro has a built-in DVD writer (which I have not had success using lately) and I also just purchased a Samsung SE-S084D External USB DVD Writer, because of my trouble burning DVDs with the internal drive.
    I've got the Samsung burner connected and when I insert a blank disc, I get the pop-up from the OS that asks if I want to launch Finder, iTunes, etc. I can burn files to the drive from Finder (at 6X) just fine. iTunes however...
    I have iTunes 10.1.1 (4). I go to File | Library | Back Up to Disc... In the window that comes up, it lets me choose one of the two DVD burners:
    MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857E
    TSSTcorp CDDVDW SE-S084D
    Clearly the first is the internal drive and the second is the Samsung USB external drive.
    If I set it to the second one (the external drive), then iTunes gets stuck on "Please insert a blank disc...". I've tried ejecting and reinserting the disc, inserting the disc before starting iTunes, etc. Nothing works. Then on a whim I wondered if it was really using the drive that I told it to use. So I tried to do another burn to the EXTERNAL drive and when it said "Please insert a blank disc...", I put a disc in the INTERNAL drive. Voila! The message went away and iTunes proceeded to attempt to burn using the internal drive, which failed in a minute or two (which is the reason why I bought the external DVD writer in the first place!).
    I tried many times and even though I choose "TSSTcorp CDDVDW SE-S084D", iTunes keeps trying to use the internal drive. Then I wondered if iTunes perhaps was displaying the wrong labels for the drives, so I tried to instead selecting "MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857E", hoping that iTunes would use the external drive. No dice. iTunes still used the internal drive. By the way, the Samsung shipped with the TS00 version of the firmware - I upgraded the firmware to version TS01 (the latest), but that didn't help with my iTunes problem.
    So it seems to me that I have stumbled on a bug where iTunes DVD burning doesn't work properly on a system with multiple DVD writers. In the GUI, it offers a choice of DVD writers, but this seems to have no effect.
    Can anyone verify this?
    I suppose if I get desperate, I could try opening up the MacBook Pro and disconnecting the cable from the internal drive, on the hope that iTunes would then only one see DVD writer and would hopefully not get confused. That's pretty extreme though and I'd rather not open up the computer just to test out a theory.
    Known issue? Can anyone verify this? Any other ideas for a software method for convincing iTunes to use the external DVD writer?
    Thanks in advance!
    -Marc

    I use the console to watch for errors when burning CDs. The console can be found in the utilities directory under applications. I also use the system profiler to see if it reports the second drive seeing the empty disk, however your comment about being able to write playlist info says its seeing it and writing to the usb disk.
    It maybe that iTunes doesn't support the USB DVD drive you have, or try moving to another USB port, preferable a high speed port, usb2. Again watch the console for messages being reported during the burn, buffer under or over runs, or read/write errors.
    For the internal drive issue, either a bad or broken drive. One last thing to check is disk space, make sure it has more than 10% of free space left. If the drive is close to full, it could cause similar issues as you report.
    Good luck

  • PDF From Excel File Page Orientation Problem

    Hi and thank you for your time to read about this problem!
    I have a workbook in Excel 2003 that has multiple worksheets that I am Itrying to convert to PDF for distribution.  One worksheet in the workbook is set to 11x17 Landscape--all the other worksheets are Letter size and portrait. All pages have the same margin settings.  I am running Acrobat 8 Professional.
    I have tried Excel's Send to Recipient as PDF, as well as the "Convert to PDF" option on the PDF menu in Excel.  In both cases the PDF file is converted perfectly when viewed on screen.  All page sizes and page orientations are correct when viewed on-screen.
    The problem occurs when the PDF file is printed.  No matter what the file looks like on screen the first page that prints out is landscape instead of portrait.  All of the following pages print fine.  Even if I skip page 1 and print pages 2-7, the first page out of the printer has the wrong page orientation.
    If we ran into this problem consistently across our PDF files I would say it's a printer issue, but I haven't seen this behavior before.  I make PDF's from pretty much all of the Microsoft and Adobe products and this is the first time I've ever seen this happen.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

    The machine I'm running it on is NTFS...
    Have found the problem though and it's got nothing to do with Acrobat!
    Basically the 80th sheet in the workbook had its Print Quality setting set to something different (higher resolution in this case) from the other sheets. I guess Acrobat saw that and realised it would have to create a new pdf with higher quality settings and so split the file in two when it hit that sheet. I assume a similar thing would happen if you changed the paper size half way through too.
    Anyway, problem solved. Hopefully this post will help someone who's equally confused in the future!
    Many thanks,
    Ben.

  • How to handle script label JS[CS5]

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to remove existing script label before assigning a new script label to a text frame.
    I have a pretty simple script which assign script label to selected frame, It has a small palette to choose label name but there is a negative scenario where user might assign a wrong label to a frame and if try to assign once again correct label it will not override the old key, value pair but assign a second one also to the same frame. In that case our next process will a get hurdle.
    So I am looking any workaround this but not able to find out the solution since InDesign DOM won’t give any mechanism to remove the script label.
    Thanks
    Manmohan

    Hi Manmohan,
    Can you please try the below JS Code, I have to change my script label using this way.
    I hope you expect this.
    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var myNewLabel = "Manmohan";
    var myPageNum = myDocument.allPageItems;
    for ( j = 0; j < myPageNum.length; j++) {
        if(myPageNum[j].label !=""){
        alert("Old Label\t"+myPageNum[j].label);
        myPageNum[j].label = myNewLabel;

  • Vertical axis labels on column chart

    I'm trying to get the x-axis labels oriented vertically on a 3D column chart, so that the labels don't overlap each other. With 2D column charts I can do this via "format>chart>format x-axis" but these options are grayed out with the 3D column chart. Is there any way to get vertical orientation on the axis labels with this chart type???

    It's usually not necessary to make the axis labels vertical to keep them from overlapping in a 3D chart since when you rotate the chart the labels are vertically offset. But you're right, there's no other control for this.
