Mars with Netflow on Interface VRF (on Router)

Mars is collecting Netflow information from Interface VRF on Router, my question is that whether Mars will see the traffic inside of the VRF or not, or it will see only netflow traffic on Global routing (core MPLS devices).
This router is PE, and connected to CE (Customer's device).

• MIB walk for a router with MPLS enabled interfaces

To perform some testing in an agent I am building, I need a MIB walk for a router with MPLS enabled interfaces. I would greatly appreciate help with this MIB walk

You can do a walk-through of the MIB by running a command such as getmany -v2c public mplsLsrMIB . For detailed instructions refer http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2t/12_2t2/feature/guide/lsrmibt.html.

• Two subnets with different mask on a single router?

router 1941
Hello. I'm needing assistance with the setup of two subnets within a single router.
Here's my information:
Router has only two GigabitEthernet interfaces.
GigabitEthernet0/0 has 172.20.0.1 ip and 255.255.252.0 mask.
GigabitEthernet0/1 has 172.21.0.1 ip and 255.255.128.0 mask
Now, on each side there is a Switch with two computers.
I need to have 1 computer on each side on the same subnet, and the other one on a different subnet, meaning a pc on the same side cannot communicate with the other computer on its side, but can with another computer on the other side.
I have no idea how to configure this on the router, can anyone please help me?
Thanks in advance!

>>> So you want PC1 and PC3 to be able to talk to each other but you don't want them to be able to >>>talk to PC2 and PC4 and vice versa.
This is correct.
>>>If so you don't need a router, you can just a switch (or switches)  and  use two vlans with no L3 >>>interfaces.
Unfortunately they are not giving me the choice of making my own net design. I need to setup this with all the devices mentioned (1 router, 2 switches, 4 pcs).
>>>If so you don't need a router, you can just a switch (or switches)  and  use two vlans with no L3 >>>interfaces.
As long as they communicate with the appropiate PC, it doesnt matter if they communicate to other devices or not.
Thanks again!

• How to connect to Xbox Live with the Actiontek GT704-WGB wireless router

If the title got you here, then you are probably a Verizon DSL customer who is trying to connect your Xbox to Xbox Live with the Actiontek GT704-WGB wireless router and are getting nothing but errors saying, "your NAT is set too high", or, "Your MTU setting is too low", etc.  Well, after many calls to Xbox support, Actiontek support, and Verizon support, I finally came up with the solution myself.
All that is needed is a little techie know-how about router settings and you'll do just fine!  However, if you are uncomfortable with doing it yourself (and it is really really easy to do!) then you can call Verizon support and have a tech support rep remotely conntect to your PC and make the changes for you: however, you have to speak with someone in advanced tech support and to do that you have to agree to a 1 year support contract to the tune of $14.95 per month in order for them to do it!  Scam???  You be the judge!
So, here are the steps to take to get it working and by the way, YOU CAN NOT GET THE XBOX TO CONNECT TO THIS ROUTER WIRELESSLY!!  YOU MUST CONNECT YOUR XBOX TO THE ROUTER WITH AN ETHERNET CABLE IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK!!!  If you don't heed this warning, you will unfortunatly go through all the steps below, only to find that you get the same errors but, ethernet is faster than wireless so it's better!....right?.....right?   (hears crickets chirping)....right?  Oh well, I tried!  Also, you must have your Xbox on in order to change the router settings (which you'll see why later) Anyway, here's the steps:
1) On your PC, open a browser window and type in the address bar:  192.168.1.1 and press enter.
2) You will then see the interface on which you will make changes to the router's settings.  If at any time you are prompted for a username and password (which should happen right after you press enter) the defaults are: username: admin password: password.  If you have changed these, enter what you changed them to.
3)Click on the icon on the top labelled "Advanced Setup"
4)In the left section, click "WAN IP Address"
5)At the warning screen, click "yes"
6)Scroll down until you see "MTU setting" and enter 1370.  NOTElease don't be tempted to either enter 1500 or leaving it at 1500 (which is the default) because you might know that 1500 is the maximum at which this can be set which is TOO HIGH AND WILL NOT WORK!  Trust me and enter 1370 and then click on "apply"
7)Click on the top icon labelled "Security"
8)In the left column, click on "applications".  This is where we are going to open the 3 ports that Xbox Live uses to communicate with your Xbox.
9)In the drop down box labelled "PC Name" select "Xbox 360". This is why you had to have your console on and connected cuz if you didn't, it would not show up on the drop down list!
10)Under "category" click on the bubble next to "user"
11)Click on "New" which is one of the blue buttons near the bottom.
12)As for the rule name, I entered "Xbox" but you can put whatever you want but I'd use that so you know it's the ports you opened for the console.
13)For protocol, select TCP. (Yes you will also open the same ports for UDP but for some reason if you select TCP.UDP instead of doing them seperatly it doesn't work.....I dunno why!?
14)For all 3 "Port start", "Port End", and "Port Map Start" put the # 80.
15)Click "apply"
16)Now, select UDP and put the same port # 80 and again click "apply"
17)Repeat steps 13 through 16 except with the numbers 3074 and 53, clicking apply after each one.  What you should have now on the bottom are a list of all the ports you opened, one TCP and one UDP for each number totalling 6 entries.
18)Click "back" to return to the Applications screen.
19)If you have to, select Xbox 360 for PC name, and click the bubble next to "user" and you'll now see the entry called "Xbox" or whatever you called it.
20)Click that entry to highlight it and then click the blue "add" button to the left and then click "apply" at the bottom.
21)Close the browser screen and turn off your PC and Xbox and any other hardware connected to the router.
22)Turn the router off and unplug it and wait about 5 minutes.  It can take this long for any residual current in the router to dissapate and for the NAT table to clear itself.
23)Turn on the router and wait for the internet light to come on green meaning the router has booted and has an internet connection.
24)Turn on the Xbox AND ONLY THE XBOX!
25)There is no need to go into network setting as when the Xbox is connected by ethernet, it automatically configures and connects intself.  You can, however go into network settings and perform a connection test but this to is not necessary.
You now should be able to connect to Xbox Live!  If not, you've done something wrong and must either go through all the steps again or let Verizon do it for you (for a fee that is).

I followed jtktlw's instructions to the letter.  Problem was I had already enabled UPnP before doing so.  Afterward I disabled UPnP and rebooted....no change.  I reset the MTU to 1500...boom, it works.  Seems for me all I needed was to open the right ports to get it to work.

• VRF Best Practice: LAN only VRF, Mgmt VRF, Global Routing table or VRF?

I am setting up a routed LAN (not a WAN) environment on two 6500 switches (sup-720). My goal is to create 32 routed environments separated by logical firewalls (multi-context ASA's). So I want a “core” router in each environment, and don't want to buy 32 pairs of 6500's-sorry Cisco.
Each of these environments are tied together by a core routing environment, running on the same pair of 6500's. No WAN MPLS is going on and I am trying to use VRF for each of the routed environments core router. The management functions of the 6500 shall run off the VRF Core router and ip range (the one that ties all the other VRF's together. Here is a simple diagram:
VRF1

FW1

VRFCOR

FW2

VRF2
So to go from VRF1 to VRF2, you traverse two firewalls and VRFCOR.
Several questions related to this design:
1) Am I nuts to use VRF's in this application?
2) Is there a better choice than VRF's to do what I want?
3) Should VRFCOR be the global routing table (IOW, not a VRF)? Or should be its own VRF? Another way to ask this is: Shall a router ever run entirely in VRF tables, or should there be at least one global table in use?
4) Are there problems with any management protocols on a VRF, such as NTP, AAA, SNMP, LOGGING, TELNET? Or have all those been worked out?
5) Any other suggestions?
TIA, Will

VRF is suited for such kind of an application. Refer to URL http://cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/netsol/ns171/c649/ccmigration_09186a0080851cc6.pdf to get an idea about the

• OTV site vlan with multiple overlay interface

Hi,
I have an OTV multihoming sites. 2 sites. 2 otv edge device each site.
and with multiple overlay interface sharing 1 joint interface
otv edge device connected to multiple VDC.
each internal / downlink will forward different vlan for each vdc.
================================
example
int overlay 1
otv extends-vlan 10
int overlay 2
      otv extends vlan 20
int eth 2/1
description trunk to VDC1
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,100
int eth 2/2
description trunk to VDC2
switchport trunk allowed vlan 20,100
otv site-vlan 100
================================
i understand that i can only use 1 site vlan.
so in order for the failover to happen, both eth 2/1 and eth2/2 must fail?
what if only int eth2/1 fail? will the int overlay 1 failover to secondary otv device?
thanks,
ivan

"So when querying the adjacency server the ED then knows which other ED is within the same site?"
Yes for the first part of the question, using the site Vlan unique to each site.
Why do you need a routed link between ED's at local site? You dont need to connect those back-back over L3. Moreover if you want to use it for L3 ADJ over peer-link, you need to make sure that VLAN that you are using is not allowed on the VPC member ports, just on the peer-link, else VPC loop alrorithm will break your traffic.
Are you planning to use multicast or a Unicast deployment? I remember I tried testing the topology in a POC for one of my customer, things did not work as expected in multicast deployment mode and worked fine in Unicast Adjacency server mode. I need to go back and check my notes on this.
I would rather have the join-interface go back to a routed core at site rather than back-back connecivity as it opens up the tested Multicast deployment mode.

• Mystery Tunnel Interfaces on 2921 Router

Hi All,
I need some help.
For some reason it seems we have 3 Tunnel interfaces on the router, not sure how it got there but we are unable to delete them or configure them.
They seem to take the loopback ip as source and if I delete the loopback interface it chooses another IP.
Output from sh ip int brief, not sure where it gets those IP's from as well.
Tunnel0                    172.16.0.1      YES unset  up                    up
Tunnel1                    172.16.0.1      YES unset  up                    up
Tunnel2                    172.16.0.1      YES unset  up                    up
See below when I try to enter interface config mode:
Router1(config)#int tunnel 0
% This interface cannot be modified
Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.
Regards
Z

Hi Zubair,
this is due to WCCP. You have WCCP for service 61 and 62 so my guess is you have an optimizer appliance (like WAAS) talking WCCP with this router. The tunnel interfaces are the result of WCCP using GRE encapsulation to redirect the traffic to the WAN optimizers.
you can find more info here:

• QoS on OC-48 SRP interface on 10720 router

We have a DPT ring with 10 10720 routers on it. The ring is connected to an OC-48 SRP interface on each router.
Voice traffic enters and leaves the 10720 on a Fast Ethernet interface; incoming voice has DSCP46 marking on it, and a strict-priority queue is set up outbound on the Fast Ethernet interface.
Is it possible to apply some form of priority queueing on the SRP1/1 interface on the 10720? I have been trying to find something definite about this but so far I have failed.

Router# conf t
Router(config)# interface srp 2/0
Router(config-if)# srp priority-map transmit 5
Router(config-if)# end
Please check this configuration guide, this should help you do the priority or other tasks with the SRP interface.

• Dual-DMVPN Design with Dual Hubs on a single router ??

Hi All,
In DMVPN, in Dual-DMVPN Design with Dual Hubs , can a single router perform the role of dual hubs.
The router has two different internet links. It is intended that when one link goes down, spokes shud connect to the same router onto the other active internet connection. Is this possible ?

Since no one has answered yet, I'll give you the practical answer.
You'll have issues with IPSec and static routing. "DMVPN" itself probably wouldn't have an issue, but it would depend on IPSec and routing to work.
It is easier, by far, to put in a second router. And when you factor in your time to try to make it work (and it may not work), the second router is less expensive.

• Terms of payment in sd module along with the fico interface

Explain breifly abou the terms of payment in sd module along with the fico interface?

Hi,
See the the SAP documentation of Daylimit.
For terms of payment which depend on whether or not the baseline date is
after or before the 15th of the month, you can define a two-part payment
term under the same terms of payment key. The terms of payment key is
expanded by the day limit entered here. Thus there are two entries in
which different terms can be specified.
In your case,
if rbkp-bldat is between 1st and 5th of the month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '05'.
If rbkp-bldat is between 6th and 20th of the month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '20'.
if rbkp-bldat is between 21st and end of month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '31'

All configurations (SLD, Integration Repository, Integration Directory) should have been done accordingly as we suppose, similar to other szenarios we have already implemented.
When we send a SOAP request based on a generated wsdl to XI we get the exception at the bottom of this text, containing e.g.
com.sap.aii.messaging.srt.BubbleException: error during conversion [null "null"];
com.sap.aii.messaging.util.XMLScanException: Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!
For sending the SOAP message we used XMLSpy.
Did someone have similar problems or can give us an working WSDL example, or some hint?
Thanks in advance,
Klaus Lukas

Hi Klaus
In your wsdl file the soap address tag (given below)
<b><soap:address location="http://xxxxxxxx:8000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:Foo_SOAP_Service:SOAP_Foo_out&version=3.0&Sender.Service=Foo_SOAP_Service&Interface=urn%3A%2F%2Fporeceive.xi.pse.siemens.com%5Efoo_out_sync" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"/></b>
is to be edited as
<b><soap:address location="http://xxxxxxxx:50000//XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:Foo_SOAP_Service:SOAP_Foo_out" /></b>
because the soap address format should be like :
<i>http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel</i>

• Problems with Java AQ interface migrating 9i to 10g

Hi!
I've got problems with Java AQ Interface migrating from 9i DB, JDBC, AQ to 10g rel.2 DB, JDBC, AQ
First, i started to occasionally receive NullPointerException in Oracle JDBC 9.2.0.8
java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement.describe(OracleStatement.java:6439)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleStatement.get_column_index(OracleStatement.java:6203)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSetImpl.findColumn(OracleResultSetImpl.java:1557)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleResultSet.getString(OracleResultSet.java:1543)
at gpnic.messaging.LDAPMessenger.messageFromRS(Unknown Source)
We were using 9.2.0.8 JDBC and 9i and 10g databases.
We decided to go up for 10g r2 JDBC Drivers, and 10.2 AQ but started to get the following errors:
oracle.AQ.AQOracleSQLException: ORA-25216: invalid recipient, either NAME or ADDRESS must be specified
ORA-06512: на "SYS.DBMS_AQIN", line 454
ORA-06512: на line 1
         at oracle.AQ.AQOracleQueue.enqueue(AQOracleQueue.java:1267)
         at gpnic.comm.messaging.transport.AQTransportAdapter$AQDestanation.send(AQTransportAdapter.java:607)
         at gpnic.comm.messaging.transport.OutboundThread.run(OutboundThread.java:83)
I'm specifying address of an agent, but oracle says I am not.
I tried both native AQ and JMS interfaces, bot got the same error. I specify recipient the following way:
'consumer' var contains name of AQ agent and is not null
native AQ interface:
aqSess = AQDriverManager.createAQSession(db_conn);
AQQueue destQ = aqSess.getQueue(schema, queue);
dequeueOptionsOut = new AQDequeueOption();
dequeueOptionsOut.setWaitTime(AQDequeueOption.WAIT_NONE);
dequeueOptionsOut.setConsumerName(consumer);
dequeueOptionsOut.setDequeueMode(AQDequeueOption.DEQUEUE_REMOVE);
dequeueOptionsOut.setNavigationMode(AQDequeueOption.NAVIGATION_FIRST_MESSAGE);
AQMessageProperty mpOut = new AQMessageProperty();
Vector vRecpt = new Vector();
vRecpt.add(new AQAgent(consumer, null, 0));
mpOut.setRecipientList(vRecpt);
AQMessage aqMsg = null;
AQEnqueueOption eOpt = null;
//prepare message
aqMsg = destQ.createMessage();
CLOB chMsg = CLOB.createTemporary(db_conn, true, CLOB.DURATION_SESSION);
chMsg.open(CLOB.MODE_READWRITE);
chMsg.putString(1,msg);
//creating oracle type message
gpnic.db.SDSTypes.SdsMsgT oraMsg = new gpnic.db.SDSTypes.SdsMsgT(chMsg);
AQObjectPayload payload = aqMsg.getObjectPayload();
payload.setPayloadData(oraMsg);
//setting properties
aqMsg.setMessageProperty(mpOut);
//do enqueueOut
eOpt = new AQEnqueueOption();
destQ.enqueue(eOpt, aqMsg); //<- here AQOracleSQLException is thrown
JMS interface to Oracle AQ:
TopicSession session;
TopicConnection connection;
TopicPublisher publisher;
AQjmsAgent[] recipientList;
connection = AQjmsTopicConnectionFactory.createTopicConnection(db_conn);
         session = connection.createTopicSession(true, Session.CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE);
         connection.start();
         Topic topic = ((AQjmsSession) session).getTopic(schema, queue);
         publisher = session.createPublisher(topic);
         recipientList = new AQjmsAgent[1];
         recipientList[0] = new AQjmsAgent(consumer, null);
CLOB chMsg = CLOB.createTemporary(db_conn, true, CLOB.DURATION_SESSION);
chMsg.open(CLOB.MODE_READWRITE);
chMsg.putString(1,msg);
//creating oracle type message
gpnic.db.SDSTypes.SdsMsgT oraMsg = new gpnic.db.SDSTypes.SdsMsgT(chMsg);
AdtMessage adtMessage = ((AQjmsSession)session).createAdtMessage();
adtMessage.setAdtPayload(oraMsg);
((AQjmsTopicPublisher) publisher).publish(adtMessage, recipientList); <- here Exception is thrown
We tried the following combinations
9i DB, 9i jdbc, 9i aq - enqueue ok
10g DB, 9i jdbc, 9i aq - enqueue ok
10g DB, 10g jdbc, 10g aq - exception is thrown
Can anyone help?
