Mask a youtube video with shape

I'd like to embed a youtube video into my iweb page and then cover the controls and letterboxing with a mask to better match the theme of the page over all. Any ideas?

You can't. The shape will be behind the video. You probably discovered that.
Here's a solution. I use this video :

Copy the share code and use it in a HTML Snippet.
To hide the controls, add a div with a height less the the video height and overflow hidden. To hide the top, use a negative margin :

Don't bother about your visitor who is unable to use the controls.

So, I am kinda confused. I searched around the net and all that, and I found out that there's this thing in setting where you turn on the "closed-captioning". Problem watching Youtube video with Safari 5.1.10

I'm running Safari 5.1.10 under Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but cannot watch anymore videos with Youtube. Does anyone has an idea ?
A message appears on the top of the screen asking to accept cookies. But when clicking on accept nothing happens ... :-( and videos do not appear
I tried with Google Chrome no problem. Last week Safari was working well it just happened ~ 2 days ago.

Thanks for your support but I already tried those options without success. I reinstalled completely Safari 5.1.10 but problem remains.
In fact it seems that clicking action to authorise cookies is inhibited (no effect) therefore videos as thumbtails do not appear (blank), however if I click on a video tittle then it starts to play normally. Really really weird, I don't if Google did some upgrade with Youtube therefore Safari 5.1.10 is obsolete ...
As an alternative I will use Google Chrome but it's a pitty.

Why can't I load youtube videos with FireFox 4.o beta

Somehow or I don't know I can't load youtube videos, I can access the youtube page and pick a video normaly but when it's time for the video to load it won't ! the video screen will just stay in color balck ! I tried erasing the cookies and rebooting my laptop but nothing works !

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I have some buttons that go to another position on the timeline where a different object is shown. if the video is playing, it will continue playing even if the user cannot see it. Hence, I want to pause or stop the video.
On the button clcik event I have tried:

I am trying to embed a youtube video using Dreamweaver cs4, but it seems to be missing a plugin. I have a flash on my laptop (pc). How do I get this to work to where it will show because all I keep seeing is a white or grey box when I embed the code. I've seen many videos of people doing it and theirs worked just fine, but mine will not load.

Am I allowed to monetize my Youtube video with speed painting using Adobe Photoshop software?

I have a question regarding monetization of my Youtube video.
If I record a speed painting done using Adobe Photoshop software, where the user interface is visible, can I monetize my video and commercially make money off of this? The focus of the Youtube video will be on the painting and not so much the Adobe Photoshop software (it is not a tutorial).

We're all end users of Adobe products just like you but my reply is the same as Mylenium's.
It won't be officially from Adobe unless you see an Adobe Staff badge next to the responder's name.
It's highly unlikely that Adobe staff will respond in this forum.

No Audio on YouTube Videos with Safari

Will not receive audio in most YouTube videos, including my own when using Safari. Other browsers work fine. I have an iMac 27" 3.06 OS Mountain Lion 10.8.2

1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button under “Browsing Data and Settings”.
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

   The next step is important.
   Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
    Follow the prompts and install it.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data:
    Press the “ Remove All Website Data” button.
    Press the “Details” button.
    Remove YouTube related cookies.
4. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    Turn those off and relaunch Safari.
    Turn those on one by one and test.

Masking a video with shape

Is there a way to mask a movie so I am just showing a part of the screen within a shape. For example, I want to just show the middle portion of the video..almost like cropping.

the only way to do this in Keynote is to use a full slide sized image that has a hole cut in it. You then lay that over the video and it appears to mask the video. This isn't too hard to do if you can get to the background image of your slide. Take that into Photoshop, make a hole in it and export that as a png file. Then drop that on your slide and put your video behind it.

Firefox add-on that opens YouTube videos with a native player

Put this together today after getting fed up with YouTube's crappy player. It removes the player from any YouTube page and instead plays the video mpv. It also supports playlists if that's your sort of thing.

Using youtube video with iMovie

I had a video on my computer a while ago and i posted it on youtube. since then, i have been deleting unwanted files on my computer, and i accidentally deleted this video. how do i get this video onto my computer?
i eventually need to burn the video onto a DVD, so the file format needs to be compatible with iMovie.

How to re-upload YouTube video with same settings

I d/l'd a YouTube movie. When I opened it in iMovie, the dimensions and quality appeared (visually) to match what shows on YouTube.
I made some edits (added some titles), and re-uploaded it following the instructions at https://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=165543 which say to

I tried both "Current" and "1280x720".
