Mass translation of text Symbols,Selection texts and Structures

Hi,
As per our Project Requirement we need to maintain Mass translations for Text Symbols, Selection Texts and structures.
Can anyone please provide a Tool or a solution through which we can maintain these translations without doing it manually
through SE63 transaction .
I have all the Translations maintained in a (.xls) file.
Is it possible to provide this (.xls) (This .xls has the Original text and the Translated text) as a input and get the translations done.
I would also like to know in which table these translations are maintained.
Please help me with this.

Hi,
There is no standard tool as such.
You can use below technique to develop your own tool.
    READ TEXTPOOL 'Program name' INTO i_source LANGUAGE 'Language'.
    DELETE TEXTPOOL 'Program name' LANGUAGE 'Language'.
    INSERT TEXTPOOL 'Program name' FROM i_target LANGUAGE 'Language'.

Double-click to enter a text frame - selecting text unresponsive

Ok.
So frustrating...I haven't been able to find a solution to this anywhere online.
Let's say I've got an InDesign document open, and have my selection tool (V).
I double click on a text frame (that is full of text), see that there is now a cursor inserted in the text frame, so I go to swipe or double-click to select/highlight some text, and NOTHING HAPPENS (it is unresponsive).
I wait a second, and then I can select text.
But this was not an issue in CS6 on the Mac I used to use for almost 2 years.
I could double click on a text frame and quickly swipe text to select, it was very fast. This second-long delay in responsiveness trips me up every time, disrupts my flow and is really, really annoying when I am selecting and editing different text boxes hundreds of times all day long. I am using ID CC on a Windows machine now, but the CPU is super fast (16 GB ram, i7 processor) and should not be having any lag issues in InDesign.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something in the InDesign preferences that I can change, or is this a bug?

Problem description: When switching from the Selection tool to the Text tool (by double-clicking in a text box) there is a 1-2 second delay before you can select text.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Make a text box and fill with text
2. Select the Selection tool (V)
3. Double-click in the text box so that you see a cursor
4. Immediately try to select text
Results: You have to wait 1-2 seconds before you can select text.
Expected results: There should not be a delay. There was no delay in previous versions.

How to Insert the Text in Selected Text Frame-Reg.

Hi,
you have to get the TextModel associated with the textframe. Once you got that, ITextModel has an Insert()-method. You could also process kInsertTextCmdBoss - there are quite a few examples around. I believe WriteFishPrice also inserts text into a frame, just as an example. Good luck ...

How to get text of itab header and structure field name dynamically?

HI.
I'm just trying display itab to web.
of cause I can use <htmlb:tableView> but I need display by loop itable for my special reason.
the table is dynamic structure that means header line should be changes depends on structure description.
'<htmlb:tableView>' certainly can display header line dynamically with just itable only.
but don't know how to get these text and structure field name without 'tableView'.
help me please.

DDIC structure means struture made from SE11?
if yes,that's what I'm trying to display table.
and my sepcial reason is this:
my final purpose is download dynamic table to excel file.
but when I download table comes form "<htmlb:tableView>" with changing http response header that shows some link error and useless icon and no table grid and etc...
"<htmlb:tableView>" resulting lot of useless tags and script.
think iterator has no function removing extra tags
so I'am trying to make simple html table.
but problem is that itable is not just one structure can be more than 100 kinds of structure.
in this situation is there any way to display dynamic itab into simple html table?

Who can tell me we can change it or not. Ex: I have ALV with Text Symbol of column 1 as Text-C01: 'Column 1' . Now I want to change Text-C01 with other text as 'ABC' by coding in program. How to do it !? Thanks .

Using "find text" to select slides and assign master

Is there a way to select non-consecutive slides using a common text element (e.g. all slides that have a colon) so that I can assign a master to all at once?
In PowerPoint I would find all slides in slide tray view and they become highlighted. Then I would assign a common master. In Keynote I only see option to Replace All.

The find command does not select multiple slides.
You would have to find one slide at a time and individually apply the master to each, or once these slides are identified using find, command click these slides to select and then apply the master.

Can't See Text or Select Text Frame

I'm formatting a book in InDesign. On one of my two-page spreads, the text and its text frames have disappeared. I can see and select these objects in the Layers panel, so I can verify that the text frames are still there and are positioned correctly on the pages... but on the spread itself, I'm unable to see the text or click the frames to select anything. The rest of the pages in the book look fine...

This is after having right-clicked on those objects in the layers panel and choosing "Select Item(s)" ... if I were to go over now and click inside one of the text frames in the spread, it would disappear, leaving me with only the pink-purple page margin lines directly beneath the text frame's borders.

Transport text symbols

Hi Everyone,
I have a zprogram in which there is an selection screen and with checkboces. For these checkboxes I have text symbols.
When I released the transport, and checking the program in qa system, the text elements are not tranported. What could be the problem?
I executed the program RSTXTRAN and specified the transport request number and press the execute button. But still I could not find any of the text elements to select or to assign.
How do I transport these text elements Can anyone help me please.

Go to SE38 -> Program name ..Click - > Text elemnets - > Hit change You `ll see 3 tabs ( text symbols , selection text ,list heading ) .. Activate them and hit save .it must ask you the trasport request. Add in transport and that`s sit

First translate ur texts using SE63.
Then choose GOTO>Administration>Transport Recording
afterwards Request-->All languages.Then you will be taken into the screen where your texts will be assigned to a tranports

TITLE AND TEXT SYMBOLS disappear in report LDB

Im changing a select-screen generated in a LDB program but when i add my select-screen cant see its titles and text elements. Need help please....

You can check this information access report source code and follow steps below:
     - Se38
     - Inform report name
     - goto -> Text elements - > Selection Texts
Please, be ensure that this object is active in the system and check it there is texts or Dictionary ref flag is set.

Problem regarding Selection Text for a Variable declared in ABAP

Hello Experts,
I am new to ABAP development. I have declared a variable in ABAP..Then i went to GOTO>Text Elements> Selection texts.
Then when i am selecting a date to have dictionary ref, then the text part is changed to "Date in Format YYYYMMSS in 8 C", then i can't customised it any more. But i want to display the text as "START DATE"..but while running. it's displaying "DATE" only.... How i can get rid of this situation?
Another problem : the limitations for th text in selection text is upto 33 charcaters by default..How can i change that so that i can accomodate as many characters i want.
Please help...I got stuck here for long time

Hi,
In the selection texts, don't use the check box to use the dictionary reference. So that you can declare your own text here.
If any text symbol is already declared and now if you want to increase the text, by default the maximum length is assigned.
So simply delete and insert the text symbol again. It will work.
For the selection texts, if you want to use more length, then use as below.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.
PARAMETERS pc_check AS CHECKBOX.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 4(60) text-020.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.
Here the text-020 will come in the selection screen for the above check box.

How to maximise the length of the Parameter text on Selection screen

I am putting the text in the selection screen for a Parameter.
Its text is long and it is not letting me to put the whole text in Text Symbol.
In the report
When I click on GOto--> Text Elements --> Selection Texts
I am sure there is a way we can maximise this...
ANy suggestions will be apprecaiated.

Here for Both, I need to add the selction text as 'BOTH Existing and Non-existing Classifications'
This is a parameter, can any body explain me how to do it with the Parameters.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.......

Table containing Program Texts(Text Symbols, SelectionTexts, List Heading)

I would like to know which is the standard SAP std. table which stores the data regarding Text Symbols, SelectionTexts, and List Heading of every program we create. There should definitly be a table where it is stored (otherwise we will not be able to retrieve it each time).
I have found out a structure RS38M which has all the required fields. But since it is a structure, it doesnt contain data.
So please inform if any body knows any standard SAP table which stores Program Texts. A quick, correct reply would be highly appreciated.

All these texts are stored in text pool not in any std. table.
To retrieve these info u have to use statement like:
READ TEXTPOOL <prog_name> INTO itab LANGUAGE <language> [STATE state].
This statement reads the text elements of the text pool of the language specified in lang and the program specified in prog from the Repository and places them into the internal table itab. The previous content of itab is deleted. If the text elements cannot be read, then the content of itab remains unchanged.
For prog, you must specify a flat character-like data object, which contains the name of the program of the text elements to be read; the name is case-independent. The internal table can have any table type and its row type must correspond to structure TEXTPOOL from the ABAP Dictionary.
For lang, you must specify a flat character-like data object, which contains a language key of up to one character, whose value must be contained in the SPRAS column of database table T002. If lang contains a blank, the behavior is undefined.
After a successful read, itab contains in the ENTRY column the texts of the text symbols, the selection texts, the list headers and the title from the program attributes. Every text element that exists for the specified language occupies one row of the internal table and is identified uniquely by the columns ID and KEY. The column LENGTH contains the length of the text element. The table below shows the possible values of the columns ID and KEY and their meaning:

Using Text Symbols In Webdynpro

Hi Experts,
   When i created a text symbol in my assistance class and provided it to my attribute via the set attribute method it is not working. Is there a different way of using Text Symbols or Text Elements
compared to normal ABAP Programming.

Text symbols displaying wrongly

Hello Experts..
I had created a zprogram . In that i want text symbols . so i created a text symbols ie text-001 and text-002. in the text elements screen i entered date and material for this text symbols. But in the output it is displaying item data and header data instead of date and material.So please tell me the solution and also tell me why the system is displaying like this.One more thing is that in the text elements screen if i change into display mode it is showing like 001 - item data, 002-header data, 003-display options etc.

It appears that the text symbols 001 and 002 and 003 were already defined for
Header data, Item data and display options.
so now you define your own symbols like 025 and 026 (some numbers) and against them define DATE and MATERIAL
and use those numbers 025 and 026 in the program code
do this and see it will work.

Leading text for select-option in Query

Hi,
In sq02 in the DATA codebox, I have added a "select-option for field". However, the title/leading text for the field in the selection screen is useless. How can I program my own text for this selection ?
PS I have tried selection-screen begin of block
select-option ....
selection-screen end of block.
initialization.
fname = 'individual text.
It does not work and it is running on 4.6C FYI.
Any help is appreciated.

goto the properties and u can give ur own name as such in text elements...
in SQ02, menu goto>text elements>selection texts.
