Master detail inside collapsible panel

I am using Spry's Master Detail to display an image gallery... thumbnails stacked vertically and floated on the left side of a large image.  This Master Detail gallery sits inside a collapsible panel.  When I click on a image thumbnail that's taller than it is wide the large image pushes the content below it down into the panel below.  The gallery's collapsible panel doesn't expand.  Instead the content is pushed into, and sits behind the panel below.  The panels are then overlapping.  Any idea how I be sure the panel expands and pushes the panels below down accordingly?
Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
To set the height of a collapsible panel, add a height property to the CollapsiblePanelContent rule or the CollapsiblePanel rule.
In the SpryCollapsiblePanel.css file, add a height property and value to the CollapsiblePanelContent rule, for example, height: 300px;. Note: Setting the height of the CollapsiblePanel rule sets the height of the entire widget, independent of the content panel size.
I hope this helps.

  • Detail-Disclosure problem with Master- Detail VO

    Hi,
    I have UIX pages based on Master - Detail VO, detail data being shown when you press Detail button on the left, detail data display in the BC4J Table correctly, but I am able to update only the last record of the rowset. when I click on the first master detail and press update button i get Null Pointer Exeception error and other problem is that my detail data has sorted headers, when i click on the sorted column header, it close the Detail portion on the Table.
    Here is UIX page listing, please any one review the code and let me what is wrong
    Thanks

    I'm not sure using a table with singleSelection inside a detail disclosure is supported. Are you doing master-detail inside of detail disclosure? Detail disclosure is not really meant for that. In jdev 10g preview we make hooking up a master-detail easy. Here's a link to some doc about it.

  • Jqzoom widget inside spry collapsible panel

    I am attempting to place the jqzoom widget inside a spry collapsible panel. The wodget works fine in the html page created for it but will not work in the collapsible oanel page. I believe all documents are in the appropriate folder.

                  <p>Homeopathy is a  wonderful system of natural medicine which is safe, non-toxic and effective. It  is so safe that expectant mothers and newborn babies can use it, except for a  few specific remedies. </p>
      <p>A homeopathic  remedy contains a very minutely diluted dose of the original medicinal  ingredient, and that is why it is so safe. The higher potencies of a remedy do  not even have any of the original substance in them, only the memory or energy  from it. The purpose of a homeopathic remedy is to give specific information to  the body. Then, the body can use this information to heal and repair.</p>
                  <p>A homeopathic  remedy can be selected <em>according to the  symptoms</em>. It can also be selected <em>according  to the patient’s constitution</em>, which considers many factors about an  individual. </p>
                  <p>Food preferences,  general features, personality and temperament, such as whether he wants to be  left alone or comforted when he does not feel well, what makes his symptoms  better and what makes them worse, even a person’s fears, are considered,  because they are all part of who that unique individual is. A person’s  constitutional remedy will help him with a lot of different symptoms, because  it was selected especially for him.</p>
                  <p>I would not want to be without homeopathic  remedies. You can take them as required, without  worrying about side effects. They can make your life so much more comfortable.  They can be used to stimulate your immune system, so that, eventually, you do  not require them as often, if at all. For example, during allergy season,  people can get a lot of relief from homeopathic formulas for allergies.<br clear="all" />
                  </p>
                  <p>Homeopathic  medicine can also help with mental and emotional symptoms, not only physical  problems. For example, homeopathic remedies can be helpful for those who are  anxious, depressed or even grieving.    <br />

          <p>For instance, one  of my clients was having continual problems with a sluggish bowel, which was  not improving in spite of my health recommendations for her colon. I adjusted her health program accordingly,  and she did much better after that!<br />

                  Absolutely! It can  be very valuable for prevention! Let’s say that you are in a canoe, enjoying a  relaxing, peaceful ride down a calm, scenic river on a beautiful summer day.  Meanwhile, I am riding in an airplane, just above the same river, and I can  spot you in your canoe. </p>
                  <p>However, I can  also see that, around the next bend, there is a set of swirling rapids and a  very steep, dangerous waterfall. </p>
                  <p>You have no idea of what you are headed for, but  I can warn you. Fortunately, since we both have cell phones, I can call you  immediately, to warn you of the imminent danger.  You can decide then to pull onto the shore, and check out the rapids before  deciding whether or not to proceed. Or you can decide to turn the canoe around,  and head back the other way. You can also choose to ignore me, of course, but,  no matter what you choose, you will have been warned!</p>
      <p>In Iridology, for  instance, if I see that a person has a congested or toxic bowel, I can advise  him to do a colon cleanse. <a href="PDf/EYE SPY.pdf" target="_new">More information</a><br />

                  <p>This allows me to  create an individualized health plan that incorporates different resources,  including nutritional supplements, essential oils, gemmotherapy formulas and homeopathic  remedies, as required.                   <p>Your body is like  a car; it’s your go-mobile! If you don’t supply it with the right fuel  (nutrition),you will lose your  get-up-and-go! When you nourish your body properly, you will naturally tend to  have more energy.  </p>
      <p>Even so, you can  fuel up your car with good quality fuel, but if the fuel pump needs repair,  then it’s still not going to work properly for you. If you have a body part  that needs repair, homeopathy can help. </p>
                  <p>We also give our  cars an oil change on a regular basis. Similarly, we can cleanse, regularly, to  clear out our organs, such as the liver, the kidneys, the skin and the  intestines, of toxins that accumulate over time.</p>
                  <p>We can also use  homeopathic formulas to clean out the receptors of the cells in our bodies,  which is where toxic residues can accumulate. Then, our go-mobiles can run more  efficiently! </p>
                  <p>There is one difference, though. We can trade in  our car, when it gets old and worn out. But, we cannot trade in our bodies! We  get one only, and it needs to last us a lifetime! So we  need to take care of it the best we can! <br />

  • Google map inside the spry collapsible panel

    So this time I've bumped into interesting 'bug'. I've placed the google map inside the spry collapsible panel. Panel is set to the closed mode on load of page. When I open the tab, map appears, but address marker is hidden behind the top left corner. If I place the same map outside the collapsiple panel it renders all well.
    So my  question is whether there is any way around this issue. When I know where the marker is hidden I can simply move the map and see it, but customer who's not aware of the problem will see only blank map with not marked address which is not acceptable.
    cheers,
    Simon

    Sure mate. Here you go:
    <div id="CollapsiblePanel1" class="CollapsiblePanel">
                  <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab" tabindex="0">SHOW MAP</div>
                  <div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">
                  <cfmap  width="242" height="200" zoomlevel="12" name="mainMap" markercolor="333444" showscale="false"
    typecontrol="none"  showcentermarker="true" centeraddress="#get_event.event_address1#, #get_event.event_address2#, #get_event.event_city#,#get_event.event_county#, #get_event.event_postcode#, #get_event.event_country#  "
    ></cfmap>
                  </div>
                </div>
    And this bit goes at the bottom of the code :
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var CollapsiblePanel1 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel1", {contentIsOpen:false});
      </script>
    And that would be the preview that I get once the panel is open:
    And that is the preview of how it should look:
    As you can see the map marker sticks to the top left corner. I was wondering whether there is any way to re-focus it once the panel is open.
    cheers,
    Simon

  • Displaying a Master Detail Relationship in a Panel Accordion or Tabs

    Hi,
    Is it possible to display a Master-Detail relationship in a Panel Accordion or Panel Tab or other component that visually divides the display?
    Say I have a Department - > Employees master detail relationship and I want each tab in my accordion to represent each
    departments and when I clicked the tab, the list of employees associated with that department is displayed.
    I am exploring this idea but I cant get to find a resource on how to move forward. I am using JDev 11.1.1.4. Thanks

    Hello,
    I recently faced the same problem and did not find a clean solution either. So I implemented it a bit more "dirty". :-)
    Instead of using the Department > Employee view link, I just created a new view object (say EmployeesFromDept), that has a bind parameter called p_DeptId:
         SELECT ...
         FROM   EMPLOYEES e
         WHERE  e.DEPARTMENT_ID = :p_DeptIdThe Data Control of this VO will have an ExecuteWithParams operation that takes the department id as input. Create an action binding in your page definition that binds to this operation, called "RefreshEmployeesForDept":
         <action IterBinding="EmployeesFromDeptIterator" id="RefreshEmployeesForDept"
                InstanceName="MyAMDataControl.EmployeesFromDept"
                DataControl="MyAMDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="true"
                Action="executeWithParams">
          <NamedData NDName="p_DeptId" NDValue="" NDType="java.lang.String"/>
        </action>In your page, add the current DepartmentId to each showDetailItem using an attribute and add a disclosureListener:
         <af:iterator id="i1" value="#{bindings.Departments.collectionModel}" var="row">
                <af:showDetailItem text="#{row.DepartmentName}" disclosureListener="#{pageFlowScope.myBean.toggleDisclosed}">
                   <f:attribute name="currentDepartmentId" value="#{row.DepartmentId}"/>
                              <af:table value="#{bindings.EmployeesFromDept.collectionModel}" var="row"
                          rows="#{bindings.EmployeesFromDept.rangeSize}"
                          emptyText="#{bindings.EmployeesFromDept.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
                          fetchSize="#{bindings.EmployeesFromDept.rangeSize}"
                          rowBandingInterval="0" id="t1">
                   //Lots of mapping column here
                        </af:table>
                </af:showDetailItem>
         </af:iterator>Now each showDetailItem that is generated knows the DepartmentId it "belongs to". In the toggleDisclosed(DisclosureEvent disclosureEvent) method, first fetch this attribute, so that you know the dept id of the showDetailItem that was clicked. Next, programmatically call the RefreshEmployeesForDept action binding if the current event is "disclosing the showDetailItem":
         public void toggleDisclosed(DisclosureEvent disclosureEvent) {
              String currentDepartmentId = disclosureEvent.getComponent().getAttributes().get("currentDepartmentId").toString();
              if(disclosureEvent.isExpanded()){
                   DCBindingContainer bindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
                   OperationBinding operBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("RefreshEmployeesForDept");
                   if(operBinding != null){
                        operBinding.getParamsMap().put("p_DeptId", currentDepartmentId);
                        operBinding.execute();
        }Now, each time a showDetailItem is opened, the bind variable of the iterator belonging to your list of Employees will be refreshed with the correct DepartmentId. Ie the department that the showDetailItem represents.
    Hope this helps! If you find a cleaner solution, please let me know. :-)
    Regards,
    Chris

  • Spry Accordion default panel in Master Detail Page

    Hi everyone,
    First time post and need a little help.
    I created a SQL database and put the recordsets in a spry accordion panel as the master section. I have another spry accordion that is my detail section. When I open up the panels in the master section and click on any of the records, it updates the detail region just fine. I did this by passing the record set using php which I don't know, to the detail region. So far, great.
    What I now need to do is when I open a panel, I want that panel to stay open. This dosen't seem to work regardless what I do. I believe that in passing the recordset set between the two regions, it is refreshing the page. I tried using code to pass the panel number too but this is not working.
    Here is the an example of one of the panels.
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab"><h3>Doctor Who</h3></div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">
            <table width="385" border="0" class="AccordionPanel" id="content1">
              <?php do { ?>
                <tr>
                <td >
                   <a id="content1" href="?recordID=<?php echo $row_Doctor_Who['prod_key_name']; ?>&panel=1"; > <?php echo $row_Doctor_Who['video_name']; ?></a>
                   </td>
                </tr>
                <?php } while ($row_Doctor_Who = mysql_fetch_assoc($Doctor_Who)); ?>
            </table>
        </div>
      </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1", {defaultPanel: params.panel ? params.panel: 0, useFixedPanelHeights: false});
    -->
    </script>
    If someone can give me some pointers that would be great. I was also thinking of redoing my menus so when a user clicks on an entry, it will open up another page with that panel open or even going to another section of the same page. I'm not a php programmer and taken a beginners class in HTML and Javascript so if you can keep things simple that would be great.
    Thanks soo much for helping out if you can!

    PHP, being a serverside code, will refresh the page each time there is a request made to the server. JavaScript (and Spry), being a client side code, does not have to send requests to the server and therefore allows you to change the data without a page refresh.
    Having said that, you need to have a Spry dataset in your Accordion panel.
    By following these steps, you will be well on your way to achieving what you want.
    Retrieve your data using PHP and place it in an HTML-table or similar outside of the Accordion panel
    Create a SpryHTMLDataSet based on the HTML-table
    Use the data from the Spry dataset to create a master/detail region in your Accordion panel
    Just a few questions before I go into details.
    Have you set up a connection to a database, thus be able to retrieve the data?
    Why do you need an Accordion panel to show your data?
    Have you got an online URL so that we can follow your code? Otherwise please include your code in your post.
    Please come back here with your answers and we shall try to help you on your way

  • Search Panel in Master-Detail Page

    Hi experts,
    I've stuck to a wierd problem, where i've implemented a master-detail relationship in a page. This works fine.
    I've also created a search page seperately for this. But now, i'm confused on how to add an item into the searchPanel which would be mapped with a detail attribute.
    For E.g:
    ===============================================================
    SearchPage: (1st Page)
    Item1 __________________
    Item2 __________________
    Item3 __________________
    GO CLEAR
    ResultsTable:
    Item1 || Item2 || Item3
    ==============================================================
    CreatePage: (2nd Page)
    Master Details.... CANCEL APPLY
    Item1 ____________________
    Item2 ____________________
    Item3 ____________________
    Details .....
    Item4 || Item5 || Item6
    CANCEL APPLY
    ===================================================================
    **Now i wanna add "Item4" into the search panel of the SearchPage. I hope its clear to you, in case not, just poke me once.
    Regards
    Ari

    Oh !! Gosh Keerthi,
    I know that, how to add attributes into the searchPanel. U're not getting the pulse of the problem. Lemme explain it once again...
    I've got two VOs .. Lets say !! MasterTableVO and DetailTableVO.
    Now in the "SearchPage", i've referenced only the MasterTableVO from advancedTable and got simpleSearchPanel on advancedTable where i've 3 items ITEM1,ITEM2,ITEM3 (these 3 r MasterTableVO attributes.)
    **As this is a master-detail page .. so for each master table record, there r multiple detail records entered in the 2nd Page.
    Now supposedly, i wanna search only those master detail records in the SearchPage which contains a certain "XYZ" value for the ITEM4(this is in DetailTableVO) in the detail records.
    So, To your inquiry .. No, Item4 doesn't exists in the VO referenced in the advancedTable of the SearchPage.
    Regards
    Ari :)

  • Spry Tabbed Panels and Master/ Detail Page Set interraction

    Hi,
    I have created a feedback form and am using a Spry Tabbed Panel to allow users to review all responses to one question and then all responses to the next question in different tabs, there are 6 tabs in all. In each tab I have created a Master/ Detail Page set - well actually just the Master appears in the tab. This is working fine. I allow up to 20 responses to be shown on each tab, after which the user selects First/Previous/Next/Last. When they do this the screen refreshes and the tabbed panel display goes back to the default tab, clicking on the tab previously used correctly displays whichever of First/Previous/Next/Last the user selected. I'd like the display to remain on the user's current tab when they select First/Previous/Next/Last.

    Hi Tony,
    Look at the following, blue coded is comment only, red coded is what has to be added to your existing code and orange coded is added by the SpryDataSet creator if done properly. Where the orange part starts, thats where you place your cursor when creating the dataset.

    Hi,
    I must present the printed papers form according to the headings according to the file of the headings.
    Then, according to their choice, I want to create the lines of the order.
    With this intention, I create a Sight (on the 3 files Rubriques, Imprimés, Order-lines). Sight which is correctly created.

  • IE6 not working with Spry Master Detail

    I cannot get spry to work with IE6. I am most interested in
    this master detail issue (code listed below). I am building this

    is IE6.
    The spry data set loads, all of the questions show on the

    Switching to another browser is not an option.

  • ADF master-detail master selection not updating detail tables properly

    Hi All,
    I am using JDev version : 11.1.2.0.0
    I created new Fusion Web Application Module. In that module I created a master-detail data model and added them to a page fragment with a query panel. When I run it as a separate module, It works perfectly and Master selection correctly updates detail tables.
    But when I integrate that module to another Fusion Application(Add application jar file to the Master Application libraries), Master-details master selection not updating detail tables properly. This problem occurred sequentially.
    The problem is that.
    After the page load, first selection of the Master Table works correctly and detail tables update correctly.
    But second selection doesn't work, means detail table doesn't get update according to the Master table.
    And again in the third selection works correctly.
    This happens in a sequential manner. I monitor the behavior using Firebug. Observations are as follows,

    I could not figure out what went wrong when integrating to another module.
    Can you please help me to rectify this problem.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    sound to be an implementation specific issue that is hard to comment on without knowing how to reproduce it. If you have a rerooducible test case based on the Oracle HR schema using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, zip it up, rename the "zip "extension to "unzip" and sent it to the mail address you find in my OTN profile. If you don't have that test case, explain how this can be reproduced

  • Target Named Anchor in a Spry Collapsible Panel from a different page

    Let me start by saying I have combed this forum (and others) looking for a resolution to this.  I am familiar with David Powers solution on Foundationphp.com and am using that code in project to open the collapsible panel from a separate page and it works beautifullly.  The problem I have is that I want the browser to move down to a specific named anchor inside that opened collapsible panel when clicked from a different page.
    Snippets of my current code here.
    Below is the code that I have on an image that when clicked goes to the correct page and opens Panel1.  Works Perfectly!
    <a href="bamboo-species.php?col1=open#CollapsiblePanel1"><img src="images/Content/Photos/HomeScroll/blackTmbor.jpg" width="227" height="175" /></a>
    Below is the link to the .js file and the script in the head of the target page
    <script type="text/javascript" src="SpryAssets/SpryURLUtils.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    // Grabs the values of the URL parameters for the current URL.
    var params = Spry.Utils.getLocationParamsAsObject();
    </script>
    Below is the code that I have on the target page for Panel1
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var CollapsiblePanel1 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel1", {contentIsOpen:params.col1 ? true : false},{duration: 1000});
    </script>
    If I have a named anchor say <a name="species1" id="species1"></a> down in the page, how do I target that named anchor from my link on the separate page.  I have tried adding the #species1 to the end of the link on the link page (see below) but with no luck. I believe those were the instructions on foundationphp.com site.
    <a href="bamboo-species.php?col1=open#CollapsiblePanel1#species1"><img  src="images/Content/Photos/HomeScroll/blackTmbor.jpg" width="227"  height="175" /></a>
    I hope (and suspect) that this is an easy fix, I just do not know what it is.  Any help or direction where to look is greatly appreciated.

    I once had the same issue can created a small function that allows me to "jump" to a element.
    function scrollTo( element ){
         var stylize = function( element){ return !+"\v1" ? element.currentStyle : document.defaultView.getComputedStyle( element , null ) },
              getPosition = function( element ){
                   // based on the SpryEffect's module:
                   var computedStyle, tryComputedStyle,
                        position = { x: 0, y: 0 };
                        if ( element.style.left  && /px/i.test(element.style.left) ){
                             position.x = parseInt(element.style.left, 10); // without padding
                        } else {
                             computedStyle = stylize( element );
                             var tryComputedStyle = computedStyle && computedStyle.left && /px/i.test( computedStyle.left );
                             if (tryComputedStyle)
                                  position.x = parseInt( computedStyle.left, 10 ); // without padding, includes css
                             if(!tryComputedStyle || position.x == 0) // otherwise we might run into problems on safari and opera (mac only)
                                  position.x = element.offsetLeft;   // includes padding
                        if ( element.style.top && /px/i.test(element.style.top) )
                             position.y = parseInt( element.style.top, 10); // without padding
                        else
                             if ( !computedStyle )
                                  computedStyle = stylize( element );
                        var tryComputedStyle = computedStyle && computedStyle.top && /px/i.test( computedStyle.top );
                             if ( tryComputedStyle )
                                  position.y = parseInt( computedStyle.top, 10 ); // without padding, includes css
                             if( !tryComputedStyle || position.y == 0 ) // otherwise we might run into problems on safari and opera (mac only)
                                  position.y = element.offsetTop;   // includes padding
                   return position;
              scroll( 0, getPosition( element ).y );
    So now we have a scrollTo function that accepts a pure HTML element as argument, all what is left to do is figure out if we have a hash, and if the anchor exits on the page.
    ( hopes this works, i wrote it without testing, but you get the general idea ):
    if( window.location.hash ){
         var hash = window.location.hash.substr(1), // remove the # from the hash
         element;
         // as anchors can also be used with id attributes, check that first,
         element = document.getElementById( hash );
         // maby we used name="" attribute
         if( !element && ( element = document.getElementsByName( hash )) ){
              element = element[0];
         // if we have a match:
         if( element ){
              // give the collapsible panel some time to init and update the DOM;
              setTimeout(function(){ scrollTo( element ) },0);
    \o/

  • IE 7 issue with Spry Collapsible Panel

    Hi Folks
    My problem is I have dropped in a small collapsible panel at the top (right) of my site pages
    which basically houses a sharing panel and a Google+1 button.
    As ever it works well on all the other major browsers with the exception of IE (7).
    Here it remains in the open position and clicking on the tab has no effect.
    I have tried many of the suggestions put forward including;
    1. Altering the js file (line 431 to now read 'this.content.style.height = "auto";')
    2. Given the panel a height of 'auto'
    3. Tweaked the z-index stacking
    4. Reordered my other js files in case of interference
    5. etc.
    I was wondering whether placing the Google+1 button inside the panel was the issue...
    Needless to say it was not with the other browsers.
    Here is the site URL : hughsitton.com/slideshow/grey_Site/contact_Grey.html
    As per usual the site goes ok then these seemingly inocuous little problems become huge and eat up oceans of time!
    Any help would be greatly appreciated as my tether end is close to being reached!
    (Apologies if you find my coding a little messy. Hope not.)
    Many Thanks
    Chris

    Thank you, that gave me what I was looking for. Although now I have come across another issue when I put text in that is not the same length. What would cause the extra white space in the menu box.

  • Spry collapsible panel with spry data

    I have created a spry collapsible panel and wanted to put
    srpy data in it, to dynamically load.
    i also want to hide the entire panel if no data is available.
    It will show the data, but the click to open/close does not
    work.
    here is the code.

    I have made some progress, thanks, however im still getting
    some odd formatting issues, for example, the 1st panel shows with
    different design to the rest of the panels.
    this is my code;
    <div id="region" spry:region="ds1">
    <div id="repeat" spry:repeat="ds1">
    <div id="CollapsiblePanel{ds_RowID}"
    class="CollapsiblePanel">
    <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab"
    tabindex="{ds1::ds_RowID}"> <h1>{title} - last amended
    {amended}</h1></div>
    <div
    class="CollapsiblePanelContent"><strong>{message}</strong>
    Added by <strong>{owner}</strong> on
    <strong>{added} </strong>(REF:
    <strong>{id}</strong>) <a href="/service/index.asp"
    target="_self">View full details</a></div>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var CollapsiblePanel{ds_RowID} = new
    Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel{ds_RowID}");
    //-->
    </script>
    As you can see, I am inserting {ds_RowID} in the variable
    name, in order for the panels to operate independantly, however
    have I coded it correctly?
