Material Creation date by plant

Hello all,
In several of our report I need to enter the creation date of the material. My problem is that the creation date of material is a global information and sits in MARA. The users run the report by plant and therefore they are interested to know what was the creation date of the material for a specific plant and not in general. Where can I find this information? How can I know the date that the material was extended to a specific plant?

Dear Liat,
Plant Data for Material is stored in table MARC. Not sure, if date on which material has been extended to a particular plant will be stored in it.
If you cannot get the date from MARC, you will have to implement a proper BAdi/Enhancement so that you can store date on which material is extended to a particular plant for the combination of Material, Plant. You can fetch the same to be displayed in the reports.

First goto MM03 to any plant view, like BASIC DATA or AccountING then click the BLUE info button next to the material description open it and there you can check the all date when user create or extend the materrial.

Hi,
Go to T.Code: MM60,Then enter your required plant and execute.
Now you can see the material with created date or last change date and who created.
If helpful then reward.

Check the material available in MARC table in SE11 transaction against your plant.If it is not available please maintain through MM01 transaction.

Material Creation Date and Time

Hi,
Is there any place which stores the material creation date and time. We have checked table MARA, but that only has the creation date of the material, but does not give the material creation time. We have checked table CDHDR, but that only seems to have the material change date and time.
From where can we retrieve the material creation date and time.

Actually, CDHDR and CDPOS will have the value. The CDHDR record will be marked as a 'U" record but look at the corresponding CDPOS record for MARA and it will be marked as an 'I' record.

Material creation without specifying plant

can i create a material without specifying a plant or storage location?is it possible.?what are differnt types of stocks in gr.

You would need to give plant for plant relevant views. However, you would not need to give plant for views like Basic Data which is valid for entire organization.
Different Stocks:
1. Unrestricted Use of Stock
2. Quality Inspection Stock
3. Blocked Stock
Special stocks and special procurement types are divided into the following areas:
· Consignment
· Subcontracting
· Stock transfer using stock transport order
· Third-party processing
· Returnable transport packaging
· Pipeline handling
· Sales order stock
· Project stock

SRM Product / Material creation - Data flow to SAP MDM

Dear SAP friends,
I need your help with 2 issues. Thanks in advance for your collaboration.
Our client needs to create products and make them available to purchase almost immediately.
The scenario we had working for the last 2 years was: product creation in SRM (fields: short description / product category / measure unit), that would then be sent to SAP MDM for data enrichment, through BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG (JOB running every 1 minute). This solution worked well for the last 2 years.
Recently, we are having some problems with this job. We noticed that, sometimes SRM doesn´t send the new products to MDM, and we think it´s a report performance problem. The report doesn´t maintain is normal behavior when executed every 1 minute.
SAP advice is to only run this report once a day. That would obviously require having a minimum time frame of 1 day between product creation and its availability (purchase), which isn´t acceptable in this client business model.
Question 1: Did anyone have a client with similar requirement? What was the implemented solution?
Because of report performance problems, we are running it (BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG) every 5 minutes. It happens that sometimes, more than one catalog manager creates products in that time frame, and MDIS when importing the products to MDM, creates one unique workflow JOB making it impossible to assign it to both catalog managers for enrichment.
Question 2: How can we ensure that SRM sends only one product per xml files sent to XI / PI ? Or, perhaps, ensure that XI / PI splits the xml file sent from SRM into several files with one product each.

In product costing values flows as follows;
In product cost calculation raw material prices are costed which comes from material master in MM01
Product operations: i.e material BOM and master receipe or routings from PP module.From PP module operation costs comes in product costing.
In CO module: In Tcode KP26 we maintain activity\cost center planning for activities like machine hours, set up hours, labour hours etc.Here we define plan quantity and plan prices.
In Cost Sheet (KZS2) we maintain base cost elements & overheads and While order creation we calculate planned cost of that particular material.and then check the variances after getting actual cost of product.

Hello Srinivasan,
You can create a material any time for a plant. In the final preparation of implementation or whenever you need to create a new material for maintenance, procudtion or sales. The thing is why do you want to know the date of material creating. If you want to know when a particular material came into stock for first time that you may get from material document table(MSEG).
Its a good question, but I would like to know the business need of this requirement.

Sales order does not extract plant information from material master data

Hi experts,
I have created a sales order. However, the plant in the shipping tab can only be manually entered.
I have made the check:
the customer material master data does not have the plant info.
the customer master data does not have it either.
It is defined in the material master data: sales:general/plant
But the sales order did not extract this information. Why does this happen?

As right stated by you,
The Plant will be copied from the master data to the sales order, if not it should be manually entered
The Sequence System will search for the Plant is as follow..
1. Customer material infor record, If it was not maintained then it will search in
2. Customer master, if the entre was not maintained in the SHIPPING TAB
3. Finally it will search in the Material master in the Sales organisation data 1 in the field DELVERING PLANT field.
So please search whether the entry was maintained in that field at the sales:sales organisation data 1.
This might be the issue.

its not possible to delete entry from "cross-plant cm" baisc data 2 view.
once you made a entry in this field , it will greyed out and its not possible to delete it.
its a important field related to variant configuration, and one should be careful before making any entry in this field. same is applicable to MARC-STDPD in MRP 3 view.

logkey = concatenate client and plant (like '333ABC' - 333 - client and ABC - plant)
optype = 'I' (insert)
You will have DBTABLOG-LOGDATE (date of creation) and DBTABLOG-LOGTIME (time of creation)
