Hi Gurus
Can you please tell me is there any way (Reports, Tables or any other method) in SAP from where I can get the following details...
*Sold to party,
*material, which has a discount,
*and amount of discount.
Sales organization
Pls reply ASAP if possible..

No such standard report available..you need to create a z-report for the requirement. Alternatively just check with yr CO team member whether he is pulling these value fields than you can get it prom CO-PA

Material ledger Tables

Dear All,
Issue: Not able to post Good receipt due to the error that material does not exit.
Background: we have activated user exit in material master for material type ZROH and assigned a internal number range to it in MMNR. this user exit will append the material group mentioned during master creation in the internal code generated by system.
example PPMM is the material group and the internal code generated by system is 122222 so when we save the material in mm01 our material code is PPMM122222.
we are trying to do GR by 501 and now the material ledger function module is truncating PPMM from the material code and its trying to post document with 1222222. which then goes into error that material does not exist.
Analysis: I have checked in the MARA/MARC the material code is PPMM1222222. but i guess in some table whcih is relevant for material ledger system has stored internal material number 1222222.
So I am looking for tables or solution for this isssue

Streams on materialized view table vs. local table

We are in a situation where we temporarily need to implement Streams on several materialized view tables. During development and testing I've noted that a local table with streams implemented on it yields 50% faster performance on apply than the materialized view tables. Can anyone tell me (1) why this is, it doesn't make sense since data is being retrieved from a buffered queue not the tables, and (2) a work around to this to improve performance on the mv tables. Any hellp would be appreciated.

Can't give you an answer why. I would suggest that you try (1) creating the materialzed views on prebuilt tables and (2) add parallelism to the apply process(es)

To upload values into material master table

Actually my requirement is,there is an update screen.There are many fields in the update screen.When the user changes the value of a partiacular field and click on the checkbox beside it of which he wants to get uploaded into material master table,and click on the execute button,the values should get uploaded into material master table.
Can we upload all the field values at a time into material master table?How can we do that?

How to Access DB2 MQT (Materialized Query Table) in Crystal 10

DB2 V8 has a new construct called a Materialized Query Table (MQT) that is essentially a table containing the data represented by a view. This MQT does not appear in the Database List in Crystal under Table, View or Synonym. I assume it is due to the Database Type in DB2 (M). How can I make Crystal recognize the MQT so I can use it in a report?

This question was posted internally and OLE dB is the work around but no version of CR was noted so not sure if this will work for you. If it doesn't work in CR 10 then you'll have to upgrade to a more current version.
Because MQT is new to DB2 Crystal 10 OLE dB driver may not know how to handle them.

Modeling: how to place Material Grp in Material Master TABLE instead of DIM

I just completed a review of the "...Modeling with BI" document and I will appreciate some clarification on the following:
Some key points leading to question:
--"..In order to cover all requirements, master tables in a BI Data model are NOT linked directly to cube .."
e.g. While Material Number is in the Material Dimension; Material Type and Material Group are outside the Star Schema (page 14) i.e. in the Material Master, Material Text, Material Hierarchy TABLES.
--".. translation tables called SID tables are used in the BI data model to link the master tables of the BI data model to cubes" (page 16)
--So, the discussion goes on to point to the different LOCATIONS that a dependent attribute (which are not in 1:N relationships) of a characteristic such as Material Group may be located:
in the
i) Material Dimension table or
ii) Material Master table or
iii) Material Hierarchy table or
iv) combination of i/ii/iii
My question:
When building a cube, I know how to add Material Group to the same dimension as in case of i.
How do I add Material Group in the cube, in such as way that it is ii?
If I created a separated InfoObject, Material Group, it will not meet ii, since it will not be part of the Cube in question.
Can you help me with how to make the LOCATION for Material Group as ii and iii in this example?
i.e. to make Material Group as part of the model but not added to the Material Dimention table but to "Material Master table"

When u r creating the Infoobject........in the Masterdata/text tab...........if u check the box With Master data.........the characteristic may have attributes........... In this case the system generates a P table for this characteristic.............. This table contains the key of the characteristic and any attributes that might exist.........
Again if u check the With Text...........then it will hav text table..............
For Hierarchy in the Hierarchy tab page..u hav to select with hierarchy.................
Now while activating the Master data SID gets generated..........this is stored in SID table.........SID table contains the Key field of the Attribute table and SID............suppose material...........then SID table will contain Material number and SID value........
Now the DIM table of an infocube contains..........SID and DIM.............so DIM tables r connected to the Master data table with this SID.......Again in turn SID tables are conneected to the Master data table.........
So cube will access this Master data table with the help of SID..........ie.......ID tables are used in the BI data model to link the master tables of the BI data model to cubes

Material master table/field that can store a value that indicates the sales

Hello Gurus....
My Client is looking for a material master table/field that can store a value that indicates the sales volume (quantity) of a material. If the sales volume of a material falls within the top 80% of the total sales volume, then the material will have an indicator of "A", 15% will be "B", bottom 5% will be "C". Business wants to use this field to drive the automatic putaway into different pick zones.
We cannot use ABC Analysis field (MARC-MAABC) or CC phys.in.ind. (MARC-ABCIN) since they are used for ABC analysis and cycle count based on value, nor volume. Using these fields will limit our future use of the true SAP functionality.
field in Purchasing view in the material master called Mfg Part Profile. However, this is also against the original functionality of the field.
Other than, this any other field we can use it? or the only option is to do a custom field?

Selecting from Materialized Query Tables (DB2 UDB database)

When selecting what objects I wish to view in my Reports, I am unable to see any Materialized Query Tables in the list. I am able to see the "normal" Tables and Views, just not any Materilized Query Tables.
Please let me know what I need to set or customize in-order to see and then select fields from these.

I was able to find the answer.
For the new report, in the "Create New Connections"...choose "OLE DB (ADO)" --> then "Microsoft OLE DB Providers for ODBC Drivers" --> click on the "Next" button --> choose the database --> then user/password details (..and so forth).

In order to derive CO-PA chars from material classification view for a
specific material value you have to implement the CO-PA derivation exit
(include ZXKKEU11) accordingly. It's indeed table AUSP from which you
can get the corresponding value (field ATWRT) for each classifying
attribute (field ATINN). In order to find out the field name for each
ATINN number (so that the mapping to corresponding CO-PA chars can be
done in a sensible way) you have to select additionally the ATNAM value
from table CABN (for given ATINN number).

Updating values in material master table

Hi,
I have a requirement where in which if the user wants to change the value of some fields of a particular record in the o/p,then he checks the checkbox of that record and click on the change button.Then the control goes to the update screen.There are many fields present in the update screen and also checkboxes were present beside each field.The user can change the values of the fields here and click on th execute button.Then only the checked field values should get updated in the material master table.

Material master table for finding out valuation category and valuation type

Hi,
I have a material XYZ for which a valuation category 'H' is assigned. Now I need to create a valuation type for that.
Question - I want to find out for the same plant & st location which are the other materials with valuation category H, and what are the valuation types used.
I checked in mara, mard, mbew etc but of no use.
Which table can i get the data ?

As the valuation details are saved and are based on the material, you can see the details of valuation type in MBEW table...and field as BWTAR
For valuation catagory, you can see the table MARC...field as BWTTY...
If want the valuation type details for both plant and storage location, you shd check the GR table ie. MSEG where you will get the valuation type ....

How to find latest Revison of material in table?

We managed our material change with CO & revision.
Now I have requirement to prepare one report for material, in that report I ned latest rev & CO assigned to material.
Where can I find latest rev of materials in table. I know we can use table AEOI, but this table display all rev. I need only & only latest rev.
I have 38,000 materials handy, now I need to find latest rev of these 38,000 materials.
Please help.

I guess the question would be is this a one time report or something ongoing?
If you can use MS Access you can create this report by downloading the AEOI table to access.
Then create a copy of the table structure only and set the key field as Material.
Set up a query to append the unique material numbers with the highest version number into the new table.
Modify the query and repeat with highest version number minus 1. Repeat until the version number is 1.
Once a material has been copied into the table, no further entries will be allowed because the material number is the key filed. You should wind up with a table containing the information you want.
You might be able to do this with a single query by using the MAX fuction on version number field.
Once you create this, it should be easy to throw in some macros, add a button to a form, and be able to repeat the process at any time with the click of a button.
If you need to do this in SAP, you'd have to create a Z table, have an ABAP'er write the correct query to copy over the records from the AEOI table and than base reports on this Z table.

Material discounts has to be calculated from existing accruals not cleared

Dear all,
we need to implement next scenario:
We have customer agreements where all sales done during a determined period (for example one month) of a determined material will have a discount (for example 20 %) that will not be discounted directly in the document and will not be credited to the customer later as a credit memo (like a normal rebate) but it has to be accrued (or can be stadistically saved in a special account) in every sales done during that month and later, in the sales orders created the next month, this material will be given as a free good (100% discount based on gross value) until all amount accrued (or saved in a special acount) during previous month has been cleared.
Have you implemented such scenario in your company? Do you know an easy way to implement it without doing a big development?

Hi,
If u dont want to use Rebate agreements because u dont want to settle them by credit note then u can add one more condition type in ur pricing procedure and make it statstical and maintain the proper access sequence and condition record (like 20 % discount as u want).
At the end of the month u can draw a report according to customer that how much value is accumaulated in particular condition type and with refrence to that amount u can give the free goods to them.
