Maverick prevents file save in Ps CC, any clues?

I cannot save as a file in Ps CC since upgrading to Maverick on a MacBook Pro
Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7,
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3,
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Interestingly My Mac Pro works fine
Processor 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 14 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB
On doing a save as a window opens as normal but disappears before anything can be done.
Fortunately PS 6 still works on my laptop so I can still work.
Help would be appreciated.

I have a similar error on my mac. As soon as I try to change save location on the system harddrive I get kicked out from the save dialogue. Photoshop CC used to work just fine before upgrading to Maverick.
I set the permission of all users on my install disk to read and write, but that didn't work. Luckily I have other harddrives installed and I managed to save to those.
Update: For some reason the permission change seem to have kicked in, becuase now I can save to the system drive.
Update 2: Saving to the system disk doesn't work any longer
Update 3: I noticed that I have the same problem in Illustrator... The save dialogue opens but disappears, but if I am quick and select another harddrive, then I can save.
Update 4: There seems to be something wrong with the keyboard as well, becuase it stops working every once in a while. I noticed it when I was alt tabbing between applications, all of the sudden the keyboard stops to accept commands, but afte ra while it wakes up again. AND this only happens when alt tabbing between Photoshop and Illustrator, not going between non-adobe products. Something is fishy...

I have been using Excel 2010 to create Word Documents and then use .SaveAs to save the newly created file without any issues
When I moved to Office 2013 the same code now presents a File Save dialog box.
I have researched the issue and can find no way to prevent the Dialog appearing (and worse regardless of the user selection the Excel code crashes)

I have create a doc file and a excel file in my pc, after I run the code you have provided ,and choose the doc file I just created, it runs without any save dialog. And My Office is Pro Plus 2013 .

Sender FTP picks up incomplete files while transfering...any clue?

After reading some posts, I understand that this problem has no complete solution yet. Am I right?
The "Msecs to wait before Modification check" advanced option, only works for NFS, not for FTP. I am using central adapter engine.
How about the Run OS Command BEFORE message processing...?? when does this OS command exactly runs ?? before mapping ?? after succesfully polling target directory?

I was asking for a more detailed answer...specifically this: does the Run OS command BEFORE, runs:
- before the file adapter starts polling the source directory
- after file adapter found any file in the source directory
depending on the answer, I could run a shell script to "pre-rename" all files matching a condition, to ensure the poll finds them, or something like that...
Now I'm thinking that maybe it is not important...if it runs after founding a source file, those renamed files could be found by the adapter in the next cycle of the loop.

I had copied these .class & .xml files under Myclasses -> oracle.apps.icx and oracle.apps.po and oracle.apps.fnd was same which comes part of the standard OA tutorial.
I copied same under Myprojects as well.
you have to decompile the class file into java file and then place it in Myproject directory , also copy all dependency files like BC4J components , and then
try to run from Jdeveloper .
Alternatively you can get the entire ICX folder and zip it and add it via library .

People who have Photoshop, but don't have Lightroom, need ACR so that they can use Raw files. Without ACR they could do nothing with those (they may also like having ACR so that they can work on other kinds of image using the same kinds of adjustments and techniques, as are used with Raw files).
People who have Lightroom, can get access to Raw files regardless whether ACR is present or not. They can use Lightroom on other kinds of image also, using the same methods. LR can pass images directly into Photoshop without passing via ACR (or else does so transparently, which amounts to substantially the same thing).
ACR does not, strictly speaking, even need to be installed for this external editing to happen. In fact, not even PS needs to be - since a different image editor can be used instead, while still retaining the Adobe Raw conversion etc.
Lightroom "subcontracts out" specialised external tasks, in this workflow, but is still your "main contractor": the image is otherwise located, viewed, managed, adjusted/presented and output entirely using LR.
So IMO we can divide image processing into:
operations that involve pixels and layers and layer masks and adjustment layers etc (of the kind done inside Photoshop)
operations that involve parametric edits (of the kind done in ACR where you are not using a Lightroom based workflow; otherwise, done inside Lightroom)
When PS is called in, that's because those tasks are impossible or unsuitable to do in Lightroom. But those tasks can't be done in ACR either - by definition, since LR and ACR have exactly the same image processing "feature set".
Lightroom is irrelevant to the Bridge + ACR + PS workflow. This workflow requires both your PS and your ACR to be current enough, to support your Raw format etc.
ACR and Bridge are irrelevant to the LR + (image editor) workflow. It is in this case, only LR which needs to be current enough to support your Raw format etc.

I was trying to upload from my iPad to my pc.
That was hard for us to guess, from your post It might have helped to mention the iPad.
How are you trying to save the song to your PC? Are you sending the song to iTunes? If yes, as a project or as an audio file? Make sure, you select "AAC" and not "GarageBand", when you share the song from your iPad.

First, I sent an email to the author of PhotoME to inform him of the serious issues his addon caused with Firefox latest versions.
Now, for those of you who do not have the PhotoME addon and yet experience the same problem that I had and that I described above, I suggest the following strategy.
As PhotoME did cause these problems with Firefox latest versions, I am pretty covinved other addons probably might cause these problems too. Therefore, adopt the following method.
Test one addon at a time to see if this particular addon is behind your Firefox issues like the ones I had.
So, disable one addon only at a time. Then close your Firefox and restart it from scratch and see if you still have your Firefox problems. You must restart the Firefox browser from scratch. If you still have these Firefox problems, re-enable the disabled addon, restart your Firefox (again!) and repeat the same method for every single addon that you have.
Try to be selective by choosing first addons that are more likely to cause your Firefox problems such as not very well-known or not very popular addons (like it was the case for the PhotoME addon).
If this method works or if it does not work, report it on this web page so that others can be helped with your comments.
I hope this method will help you because I was really upset that I had these Firefox problems and I first thought it was the fault of Firefox, only to discover later that this PhotoME addon was the culprit and had caused me such upset.

I assume that it is because I now have an intel machine. I know other people have used this file format and so how do you open your photo files?

When I try to open in Adobe Reader is says, "Adobe Reader could not open 'Blank-AF 77-LOE.xfdl' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." Now what. I didn't email it. I transferred from an external hard drive. The file opens just fine on a Windows PC.

I have a Perl CGI scrfipt on the server that I can call from a web brwoser. Its purpose is do save a file passed in to any locatgion on the PC.
In the borowser I can use:

I want to do the same thing from the Forms 6i application. In web.show_document I put in the exact same URL that works stand alone in the browser and have tried all of the seceond argument setting (_BLANK, etc.). Just for a millisecond a window opens then immidately closes. I have included a raise FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE in the trigger to make it wait, but to no avail.
I found a document that said if a URL works in the browser, it will work in web.show_document. That is not true for me.
Do I need to build an html page first to open in the borwser from web.show_document?
Does webutil_file have the ability to let the user choose the destination directory?
What we did in the past was to make sure the file extension was not in the registry of the PC. Then the browser would force a Save As dialog. With XP SP2 this does not work without making several changes to the file types.
That is why I would like a solution that does not rely on file type set up.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Well, it sounds like you want the server to tell the client that this content shouldn't be read from cache...
Among the posible solutions:
Apache can be configurated with modules like 'mod_expires' and 'mod_headers'.
Or, you could write a JSP file that sets the appropriate http headers and streams your file accordingly. The http headers I think you're interested in:
- cache-control (to prevent client caching)
- content-disposition (to set the filename of the download)

Windows File Save dialog freezes a virtual folder

We have a shell namespace extension that presents a remote document repository as a virtual folder in the Desktop folder. When the File Save dialog box is opened from within Adobe Reader or Acrobat version 9, our virtual folder appears inactivated. Even though the common dialog box displays the items in the folder, it is not possible to select any of the items, e.g., using a mouse click or key code press.
Note that the same common dialog when running in open mode works fine. Our virtual folder is enabled, and an item can be selected for the Open action. It appears that the problem shows up only when the Save dialog runs from within Adobe Reader 9 or Acrobat 9.
The problem appears to be limited to Windows 7 and Vista. XP does not have the problem.
I would like to know why and how the save dialog gets disabled, and would like to know how to prevent the dialog from disabling the virtual folder.

I have followed the example you mentioned to save a picture to the folder shortcut, and the name won't change to the shortcut. Also the picture would be saved into the original folder.
Here is the steps I did:
1. Create a folder named New folder in My documents:
2. Select it and then press ctrl + C and right-click on destop choose paste shortcut(named New folder-Shortcut);
3. Right-click on a picture in one webpage then open the save picture as dialog box;
4. Navigate to the desktop folder shortcut and double-click into it, the file name field won't change;
5. My machine is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
Would you please tell some more details on how you saved the picture?

PDF 'File Save' problem in Firefox

Using Firefox browser, when I select a PDF file that opens in a new window [rather than a new tab], save it and close the window, the AcroRD32.exe process is not stopped. If I then open another PDF file in a similar manner, it can not be saved. Each time you close a PDF window, you have to go to Task Manager and stop the AcroRD32 process before being abl;e to save a subsequent document. This does not happen with IE.
Using Reader 10.1.1 and Firefox 8 on a Windows Vista32 system.

Same bug i see in Opera browser. PDFs doesn't saves without stopping AcroRd32 process. And save dialogue doesn't appears when clicking links (even if web browsing function deactivated in adobe reader settings)...
Apart from this File Save problem, there is more strange things while browsing PDF online, like "blinks", hangs, image dissapear, suddenly lags without any reason, browser crashing and more...
So, because adobe reader prevents to download PDFs, and because it works very buggy with online browsing, especially if website uses adobe flash to show PDFs, the only right solution i found is uninstalling adobe reader. After that File Save problem was gone!

First, I use Windows 7 64-bit and I always use Firefox with at least 120 tabs opened. BUT I have 8 GB of RAM, an Intel core i7 quad-core processor and more than 1 TB of hard disk space. Consequently, I do not understand why I would have these two critical bugs.
With Firefox 26, I also have at least 120 tabs opened when I start Firefox and I do not have the two critical bugs described below, therefore I do not believe that the number of tabs is the reason of the two critical bugs that are present in Firefox 27, 28, and 29.
---FIRST CRITICAL BUG:
When I open ANY web page and do File, "Save Page As", the window that is supposed to open to locate the folder where I want to save this web page does NOT open at all, even if I wait a long time to see if it opens.
Same problem happened with Firefox 27, 28, and now 29!! When I reverted back to Firefox 26, this problem did NOT happen anymore!
---SECOND CRITICAL BUG:
When I use Google Images, for instance entering model in the search field of Google Images and then pressing enter.
Then I select any picture, open to a new tab this selected picture, then open a new tab by selecting the option View for this picture. Then right-click the picture and select "Save Image As".
Again, the window that is supposed to open to locate the folder where I want to save this picture does NOT open at all, even if I wait a long time to see if it opens.

I have no idea if you will be able to reproduce these two critical BUGS but I can assure you that they are not present when I use Firefox 26 and they are present when I use Firefox 27, 28, and 29. More, be aware that I have at least 100 tabs opened but I also have this same number of tabs opened in Firefox 26 and yet I do not experience these two critical bugs when I have Firefox 26!
Once again, these two bugs touch at two vital, critical very basic functions of Firefox and therefore I will NOT be able to use any version above 26 if these two bugs are still present, as they are present in Firefox 27, 28, and now 29!!!
Please, make it a priority to solve these two critical bugs. Thanks.

I am still reading it again to try to figure out exactly what the person did to make his problems be solved, as the post is not clear at all on what solved the problems!
In any case, all the suggestions proposed in this post do not work and I surely cannot do a system restore when it is obvious that the two bugs do not appear in Internet Explorer.

hello, there's a general regression in firefox 27 that won't allow files to download directly into a root drive. please try to create a subfolder (like ''E:\Downloads'') and set this as default location for downloads...
