Max no.of zip attachments & recipents thru FM:SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

Hi,
I want to know what is the number of attachments we can send thru FM:"SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1".
I have 6 files, so i want to zip them all and send them all to atleast 20 mail recipients.
I know way to check my doc size using: DOC_CHNG-DOC_SIZE = ( TAB_LINES - 1 ) * 255 + STRLEN( OBJTXT ).
Eventhough I try to use it i was unanble to find what is the maximum docsize which can be used and max. number of mail recipients to which we can send the document.
Could anyone Please through some light on this problem m facing?

  • Can I prevent emails with zip attachments?

I keep getting junk emails sent to me on a daily basis which contain .docx.zip attachments. I want to somehow exclude them from my inbox and filter them out. Is this possible?

You can't "exclude them from your Inbox" because Thunderbird can only work on what is in the Inbox; so by the time it can do anything, about such messages, it's already too late.
My filter dialogue offers me an option to filter on attachments. It goes away when I restart in Safe Mode but I haven't yet been able work out which extension is doing it. Such a feature might allow you to automatically filter and dispose of such messages.

  • Auto-delete mails with ZIP attachments?

Unfortunately, I have to do business with Windows users whose machines seem to be infested with viruses that harvest email addresses. As a result, I am engulfed daily with mail that contains Windows virus attachments (ZIP files) and spam with GIF attachments. And I'm tired of it. Reporting the senders to their ISPs is an exercise in futility.
Since the only legitimate attachments I receive from clients are always, and without exception, Stuffit SIT or SITX files, is there any way to set up a rule in Mail that will delete emails with ZIP or GIF attachments but allow those with SIT/SITX files through?
There doesn't seem to be a way to add "Attachment" to the list of headers in Rules. In view of the fact that the most common vector for viruses is via email attachments, this seems to be a major oversight on Apple's part.
Any hints on dealing with this?
    Kind regards.

    Dave,
sorry for being late but I just saw your message now...
In 10.3.x, there indeed is no way to filter based on attachment names (this is a new feature present in 10.4.x). However, you should be able to mark all those messages as spam and filter them to your junk mailbox using Junk Matcher:

Many thanks for your very helpful response, Mikkel.
However, when I expand the headers on any mail that contains an attachment, there is no header named "Attachment," just a paperclip symbol with an expand arrow.
So if I go to create a Rule, first of all there is no "Attachment" header in the Conditions list, and second it is unclear how to enter such a symbol-based header in the "Edit Header List..." dialog. Do I simply type the word "Attachment" into the dialog as a header even though it never actually appears in any emails with attachments?
    Still mystified...
    Kind regards.

  • Opening zipped attachments on iPhone 5s.

Iphone 5s with IOS 7.0.3 software.  I receive and email with a zipped file attached.  At the bottom of the email thread is the file.  I am instructed to "Tap to Download".  When that is done the file is downloaded but then nothing can be done with it. The top image shows 2 files that have been attached to an email. One has been tapped to download and is downloaded somewhere.  The other is waiting to be downloaded.  The second image displays what I see when I tap the image to download it.  I assume if it was working correctly the content of the file should be displayed.

Solution for me was changing the "Load Remote Images" setting, shutting down and restarting the phone.  The old messages with problems reloaded with all attachments accessible.
Background: I began having this problem recently with PDF, jpeg, vcf files and apparently now, all attachments as well as email with html links are coming through with no attachment or as empty email.  This was a new problem for me. I have been backing up to the cloud, but not using a cloud email account.  I have multiple accounts on the phone, six of them actually and have been set up this way for over a year without problem.  Some are imap, some pop, none are through exchange.

  • Zip attachments are unusable when moving an email message

I'm asking this question on behalf of a coworker. Here's the scenario.
Each month we receive a .zip file from one of our vendors. My coworker receives that file, and if she moves the message from her inbox to a different folder (in Apple Mail) the .zip file becomes unusable ... it's displayed as garbled text/code.
If she doesn't move that .zip file it's perfectly normal and usable, but as soon as it moves it's zapped.
Any ideas on what's causing this, and how to fix it?

The garbled text is displaying in the mail message (after it's moved). Here's a partial screen shot:
The extra quote level was added when she forwarded the message to me.
Normally she's able to use the attached ZIP file, but as part of her workflow she moves her emails to different folders depending on what she needs to do next. That works for everything except this email with the ZIP file. She'll move the email, but then the ZIP turns into what I showed in the screen shot. When it gets to this point there's nothing to unzip.
As long as she remembers to NOT move this email (and grab the attachment right away) everything is fine. But if she moves the message, then the bad stuff happens.

  • All zip attachments are corrupt after downloading.

    Hi there,
One of our content providers wants to link to a zip file from within a SCORM package.
After importing and publishing in exactly the same way as normal the zip file is always corrupted after a user downloads it.
Has anyone been able to get around this?
    TC

    Hi there,
We have a custom Netweaver portal for LSO that is designed to only work with IE. So i am unable to test with another browser.
I have tried republishing the package several times and each time the zip is corrupted.
I have tried this with self built SCORM packages and even packaged a zip as an attachment within an Articulate package and everytime the zip is invalid/corrupted.
I tested the zip by opening the package prior to publishing with Authoring Environment and the zip is okay, it is only after it is published through the repository that it is corrupted.
Cheers for any help or advice you can offer.

  • Gmail + Mail, can't attach 9mb - 17mb attachments (despite 25mb max)

Using Gmail with Mail (Imap for incoming, smtp.gmail.com:[email protected] for outgoing).
I'm attaching .mov files (taken with Photo Booth), 7mb - 17m, send the emails (to another gmail.com recipient), see it transferring data (via progress bar), then it is fails. I get the following message:
    ============
Cannot send the message using the server smtp.gmail.com:[email protected]
Sending the message content to the server failed.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
    Sending from: my_name <[email protected]>

However, when I use Gmail on a browser (Safari), I have no problem in sending the big files (17 mb).
I understand Gmail has a max of 25mb for attachments.
I went thru Mail preferences & couldn't find any relevant settings.
    Help?

For what it's worth, I was getting this same error message and here is how I fixed it.
    First, two small notes:
-- Re the third message in this chain (from wiebelstaart): Despite the error message Apple Mail was giving me saying "Cannot send message using the server..." the message WAS being sent in my case, as I could see by accessing Gmail through a web browser and checking the sent folder. That explains why the message was showing up in your IMAP sync. In other words, the error message was in error.
-- I am using POP so my problem was not related to IMAP.
I searched around Gmail help and noticed that the recommended ports for outgoing mail are 25 or 487. However, in Apple mail the "default ports" are listed as 25, 465 and 587.
    (here: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=180712 )
So I changed the setting to use "custom port" 25.
That has fixed the problem for me (so far).
You can access this setting under Mail>Prefs>Accounts tab>Outgoing Mail server (dropdown menu>Edit SMTP Server List>Advanced Tab>Use custom port
I wonder why those default ports are incorrect.
    Hope that helps someone...

  • Zip file attachments renamed to Mail Attachment since upgrading to SL

Does not appear to happen with jpeg files. This happens with both new emails that have .zip attachments and emails previously received. I can rename the file and add the .zip extension and get at its contents (Microsoft Access database file). Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? This did not occur before upgrading to Snow Leopard.

    Ernie Stamper wrote:
If the MacBook that is not using SL and this Mac are both on and receiving the message, then will the message on the MacBook remain named correctly, but with the Mac using Mail 4.1, it is not? (I think this is what you are reporting, but just making sure.)
    Yes
Is there any SPAM or Anti-virus software on this computer?
    No
Using each computer, open such a message, click on View in the menubar, place the cursor on Message in the resulting pull-down and choose Raw Source. Observe the attachment header for this file on each computer, and report.
Will check this when I get home tonight.
    Ernie
One more thing that I found interesting. I used Time Machine to look at older emails that had been backed up and all their attachments (the .zip ones) have been renamed to Mail Attachment as well.

  • MAX Problems: Connecting and converting

We are experiencing another problem with NI MAX.  We have Lookout 5.1 and 6.2 on a stand alone and a Virtual Machine, both exhibit the same problem.
When attaching a database, we select Citadel 4, the wizard opens.   Clicking browse results in the window closing and MAX stops responding.  If we enter the path manually and click OK the same problem arises.
No excessive resource usage, no other odd results besides the MAX windows being completely useless requiring a force close.

    Mike,
First I apologize for the bugs in Citadel 4 support.
My idea was to use MAX installed with lookout 6.1 to attach and convert the database. So you need to install the Lookout 6.1 on a clean machine. At least there is no higher version of Lookout installed.
And then you need to copy the attached file to \National Instruments\MAX\UI Providers\. This fixes another bug that the "create/attach Citadel 4 database" option is invisible.
I tried this way and it worked. This is the link for Lookout 6.1 download if you don't have the CD.

  • SAP PI7.31 : Mail with multiple attachments - how to process via UDF

    Hi
wondering how I can approach this problem.   I have to read an Email with any number of attachments  - it can have between 1 and 4 or maybe more of different types (CSV,XLS,PDF,ZIP).  I need to read this email and extract the attachments to a folder.
Just to let you know I have done this OK for an email that I know only has 2 attachments ! Works perfectly - just no good for ?n? attachments !
Mail Sender has AF_Modules/MultipartHeaderBean to add payload Attributes
The message is sent to 2 Receivers
Each Receiver File adapter then uses AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean and AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean
Problem is that when I do not know how many attachments there are.  So I will have to write a Java UDF mapping, perhaps using the classTransformationInput.
My question is : To create a Java UDF what should be structure of a sent Email message Type look like so I can feed that into a UDF to check what payload attachments there are etc ?.

As long as you use java mapping, you can have any dummy structures for your interfaces.
But, if you prefer to use graphical mapping with UDF, then you should have some valid structures for your mail and file interfaces. e.g., mail pack XSD for mail interface as metioned by Indrajit Sarkar
and again the same structure for the file interface as well so that you can have one to one mapping an then make use of UDF code from the article. Use payload swap bean in the receiver file channel to replace xml payload with Zipped attachments and then finally use script to unzip this zip file.

    dataFile << "\n--Shrewdness_of_Apes_263_000--"<<endl;
Please tell whether the format is correct for Solaris 10.
This is correctly working in Solaris 8.

The information in your link is wrong.
There are several options for doing what you want. The easiest, and best, option is to compress the attachments as zip files before attaching them. Then they'll always be displayed as file attachments. The recipient will have to unzip them, obviously. Some enterprise mail gateways may balk at zip attachments, because they're often used to distribute Windows malware.
Another good option is to use a third-party mail client that better suits your needs, such as Thunderbird.
You could try the third-party application called "Attachment Tamer," which purports to change the behavior of Mail. I have no experience with it.
Finally, you can try the hack suggested in this thread:
Problems with sending email attachments...: Apple Support Communities
I have no idea whether it works and I don't recommend it.
