Maximum View/Table size

Hello All,
Is there a document that tells me what is the maximum allowable size of different objects?
Please let me know
Thanks

Database Limits
This chapter lists the limits of values associated with database functions and objects. Limits exist on several levels in the database. There is usually a hard-coded limit in the database that cannot be exceeded. This value may be further restricted for any given operating system.
Database limits are divided into four categories:
Datatype Limits
Physical Database Limits
Logical Database Limits
Process and Runtime Limits

  • Editing scroll view frame size in IB causes table view to change

    I suppose this is a continuation of the problems I was having with the table view resizing: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2618816&tstart=0.
    I have a controller which needs to have a scroll view with numerous elements attached to it, including a table view.
    I have performed the following steps:
    - Set the simulated interface elements of the owning view to a nav bar.
    - Added a scroll view to the main view in the nib file.
    - Set the file owner view controller subclass' view to the scroll view.
    - Set the contentSize of the scroll view to the desired size in viewDidLoad.
    The problem is that the table view size/position are incorrect when I load the view in the iPhone simulator if I change the scroll view's frame size from 320x460. Basically, every time the scroll view frame size is changed, it causes the scroll view position and size to change.
    However, there are times I want to make the scroll view's frame size bigger in order to edit items that might be offscreen when the application is first loaded, which becomes awkward if the size of the view in IB or in code without causing the table view size/position to change. I keep having to change the size of the scroll view frame, edit the items, change it back to 320x460, and then fix the table view.
    Is there a way around this, such as a way to locking the size of a table?

    Hi Kaspars,
    I would say there is atm no possibility to change the table view size dynamicly, because you can't input a formula into the size field so the size is fixed as you enter it.
    Best Regards,
    Marcel

  • Maximum input payload size(for an XML file) supported by OSB

    Hey Everyone,
    I wanted to know, what is the maximum payload size that OSB can handle.
    The requirement is to pass XML files as input to OSB and insert the data of the XML files in the oracle staging tables. The OSB will host all the .jca,wsdl, xml, xml schema and other files required to perform the operation.
    The hurdle is to understand, what is the maximum XML file size limit, that OSB can allow to pass through without breaking.
    I did some test runs and got the following output,
    Size of the XML file:  OSB successfully read a file of size, 3176kb but failed for a file of size 3922kb, so the OSB breakpoint occurs somewhere between 3-4 MB, as per the test runs.
    Range of number of Lines of XML:  102995 to 126787, since OSB was able to consume a file with lines (102995) and size 3176kb but broke for a file with number of lines (126787) and size 3922kb.
    Request to please share your views on the test runs regarding the OSB breakpoint and also kindly share the results, if the same test has been performed at your end.
    Thank you very much.

  • Reg: Table size adjustments in adf 11g application.

    Hi All,
    We have developed an application in ADF 11g. In this we fetching the tables from the database. When viewed, the size is not appropriate. We need to adjust the width and height of the tables as default.
    Can anyone help us regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Shanmukh

    Hi Shanmukh,
    If you wrap your table in a component that stretches its children, your table will be adjusted to fill aviable space.
    Try to surround the table with an <af:panelcollection/> or an <af:panelsplitter/> or an <panelStretchLayout/>.
    This should work.

  • How can I view the size of a particular event in iPhoto '11?

    How can I view the size of a particular event in iPhoto '11? The 'Get Info' option is not displaying the size of the event like it used to in iPhoto 8.

    But the event does not really have a size - you can export the photos and make the size pretty much what you want - while it is in iPhoto it is an event
    I guess that iPhoto could report the size of the original photos as imported - or the size of the modified photos if exported as JPEGs - or the size of the modified photos if exported with a maximum dimension of 1080 - but the event simply is photos and does not have a "size" until you export it
    Obviously you want to know the size but the question was
    what is your puprose for knowing the size?
    WIth that information maybe there is a way to get you what you want
    But the basic answer is simply that an event does not have a size - an event is a collection of photos and each photo has either two or three versions in the iPhoto library and each photo can be exported for outside use in several formats and at any size

  • Maximum recommended file size for public distribution?

    I'm producing a project with multiple PDFs that will be circulated to a goup of seniors aged 70 and older. I anticipate that some may be using older computers.
    Most of my PDFs are small, but one at 7.4 MB is at the smallest size I can output the document as it stands. I'm wondering if that size may be too large. If necessary, I can break it into two documents, or maybe even three.
    Does anyone with experience producing PDFs for public distribution have a sense of a maximum recommended file size?
    I note that at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/ the Internal Revenue Service hosts 2,012 PDFs, of which only 50 are 4 MB or larger.
    Thanks!

    First Open the PDF  Use Optimizer to examine the PDF.
    a Lot of times when I create PDF's I end up with a half-dozen copies of the same font and fontfaces. If you remove all the duplicates that will reduce the file size tremendously.
    Another thing is to reduce the dpi of any Graphicseven for printing they don't need to be any larger than 200DPI.
    and if they are going to be viewed on acomputer screen only no more than 150 DPI tops and if you can get by with 75DPI that will be even better.
    Once you set up the optimized File save under a different name and see what size it turns out. Those to thing s can sometimes reduce file size by as much as 2/3's.

  • UCS C series maximum hard drive size

    Looking for info on the maximum hard drive size support on teh UCS C series.  I have a C200M2 that I added a 4TB drive, I have updated the server to the latest firmware and BIOS however the server shows the drive size is 2TB.

    Hi!  and welcome to the community mate!
    Here is the table that shows the supported disk's PID for the C200 server:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/c200m2_sff_specsheet.pdf
    If you successfully installed ONE HDD of 4GB and made it work, you were lucky cause I don't see any disk with that size, I have not even seen a disk of that size for UCS yet.
    I am wondering if perhaps you installed 4 disks of 1TB and configured them in RAID 1 which would explain the reason for the size to go down to half of the capacity of the array as RAID 1 is a mirror.
    Let me know if I misunderstood you.

    Hello Soma.
    How many records exist in your 700 MB CSV file? How many do you expect to process in 10 minutes? You may want to consider performing a set of simple unit tests with 1) 1 record, 2) 1,000 records, 3) 100 MB filesize, etc. to #1 validate that your shell script and control file syntax function as expected (including the writing of log files, etc.), and #2 gauge how long the processing will take for the full file.
    Hope this helps,
    Luke

  • Table size difference?

    we have 2 db's called UT & ST.. with same setup and data also same
    running on hp-ux itanium 11.23 with same binary 9.2.0.6
    one of schema called arb contain only materialised views in both db's and with same name of db link connect to same remote server in both db's...
    in that schema of one table called rate has tablesize as 323 mb and st db, has same table rate has 480mb of tablesize, by querying the bytes of dba segement of table i found the difference.. query has follows
    In UT db
    select sum(bytes)/1024/1024 from dba_segments where segment_name='RATE'
    output
    323
    In ST db
    select sum(bytes)/1024/1024 from dba_segments where segment_name='RATE'
    output
    480mb
    its quite strange, both of table, contain same ddl and same counts of records and initalextent and next extents, all storage parameter are same and same uniform size of 160k tablespace with both db..

    why table size is difference?

    If everything is the same as you stated, i would guess the bigger table might have some free blocks. If you truncate the bigger one and insert /*+ append */ into bigger (select * from smaller) then check the size of bigger table, see what you can find. By the way, dba_segments, or dba_extents only gives the usage to extents level granulity, withing a extent, there are blocks might not be fully occupied. In order to get exact bytes of the space, you 'll need to use dbms_space package.
    You may get some idear from the extream example I created below :
    SQL>create table big (c char(2000));
    Table created.
    SQL>select sum(bytes)/1024 kb from user_segments
    SQL>where segment_name='BIG';
    KB
    128               -- my tablespace is LMT uniform sized 128KB
    1 row selected.
    SQL>begin
    SQL> for i in 1..100 loop
    SQL> insert into big values ('A');
    SQL> end loop;
    SQL>end;
    SQL>/
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>select sum(bytes)/1024 kb from user_segments
    SQL>where segment_name='BIG';
    KB
    256               -- 2 extents after loading 100 records, 2KB+ each record
    1 row selected.
    SQL>commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL>update big set c='B' where rownum=1;
    1 row updated.
    SQL>delete big where c='A';
    99 rows deleted.          -- remove 99 records at the end of extents
    SQL>commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL>select sum(bytes)/1024 kb from user_segments
    SQL>where segment_name='BIG';
    KB
    256               -- same 2 extents 256KB since the HWM is not changed after DELETE
    1 row selected.
    SQL>select count(*) from big;
    COUNT(*)
    1               -- however, only 1 record occupies 256KB space(lots of free blocks)
    1 row selected.
    SQL>insert /*+ append */ into big (select 'A' from dba_objects where rownum<=99);
    99 rows created.          -- insert 99 records ABOVE HWM by using /*+ append */ hint
    SQL>commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL>select count(*) from big;

    1206 (ER_LOCK_TABLE_FULL)
    The total number of locks exceeds the lock table size. To avoid this error, increase the value of innodb_buffer_pool_size.
    The value of innodb_buffer_pool_size is set to 8388608 (8MB) on my server.
    In the documentation (MySQL :: MySQL 5.4 Reference Manual :: 13.6.3 InnoDB Startup Options and System Variables) it says that the default is 128MB.
    Can i set the value to 134217728 (128MB) or will this cause other problems? Will this setting solve my problem?
    Thanks for your help.

    I already found an entry from Kablink:

    But i think this can't be a permanent solution...

  • Checking HANA Table sizes in SAP PO

    Hello All,
    We have SAP PO 7.4 deployed on SAP HANA SP 09, and the SAP PO is growing fast, and it grew by 200 GB over the last 2 days. The current size of the data volume is showing almost 500 GB just for the PO system. This is HANA tenant database installation.
    The total memory used by this system show about 90 GB RAM.  However, I just don't how to get the list of the table with SIZE. I looked the view CS_M_TABLE, which is showing all the tables which are using the memory, but that does not still add up though. I need to get the list of all the physical table size so I can understand to see which table is growing fast and try to come with something that would explain why we are seeing about 500 GB of database size for a SAP Java PO System.
    Thanks for all the help.
    Kumar

    Hello,
    As very simple bit of SQL that you can adapt to your needs.
    select table_name, round(table_size/1024/1024) as MB, table_type FROM SYS.M_TABLES where table_size/1024/1024 > 1000 order by table_size desc
    select * from M_CS_TABLES where memory_size_in_total > 1000 order by memory_size_in_total desc
    It's just a basic way of looking at things but at least it will give you all tables greater than 1GB.
    I would imagine others will probably come up with something a bit more eloquent and perhaps better adapted to your needs.
    Cheers,
    A.

  • How we will know that dimension size is more than the fact table size?

    how we will know that dimension size is more than the fact table size?

    Hi,
    Let us assume that we are going to take Division and distribution channel in a dimension and assume we have 20 distinct values for Division in R/3 and 30 Distinct values for Distribution channel .So Maximum, we can get 20 * 30 records in dimension table and we can take rough estimation of records in the cube by observing the raw data in source system.

  • Maximum 3D File Size in AutoVue

    Hi All,
    Is there any limitation of maximum 3D file size which can be viewed on Autovue? Is it depending on the server hardware or the client hardware?
    Best Regards
    Akhmad H Gumas

    The limitations are on both client and server hardware
    It also has to do with the format been read, not all formats are equal and some require more memory to generate a display

  • SQL Server log table sizes

    Our SQL Server 2005 (Idm 7.1.1 (with patch 13 recently applied), running on Win2003 & Appserver 8.2) database has grown to 100GB. The repository was created with the provided create_waveset_tables.sqlserver script.
    In looking at the table sizes, the space hogs are:
    Data space:
        log       7.6G
        logattr   1.8G
        slogattr 10.3G
        syslog   38.3G
    Index space:
        log       4.3G
        logattr   4.3G
        slogattr 26.9G
        syslog    4.2GAs far as usage goes, we have around 20K users, we do a nightly recon against AD, and have 3 daily ActiveSync processes for 3 other attributes sources. So there is alot of potential for heavy duty logging to occur.
    We need to do something before we run out of disk space.
    Is the level of logging tunable somehow?
    If we lh export "default" and "users", then wipe out the repo, reload the init, default and users what will we have lost besides a history of attribute updates?

    Hi,
    I just fired up my old 7.1 environment to have a look at the syslog and slogattr tables. They looked save to delete as I could not find any "magic" rows in there. So I did a shutdown of my appserver and issued
    truncate syslog
    truncate slogattr
    from my sql tool. After restarting the appserver everything is still working nicely.
    The syslog and slogattr tables store technical information about errors. Errors like unable to connect to resource A or Active Sync agains C is not properly configured. It does not store provisioning errors, those go straight to the log/logattr table. So from my point of view it is ok to clean out the syslog and slogattr once in a while.
    But there is one thing which I think is not ok - having so many errors in the first place. Before you truncate your syslog you should run a syslog report to identify some of the problems in the environment.
    Once identified and fixed you should'nt have many new entries in your syslog per day. There will allways be a few, network hickups and the like. But not as many as you seem to have today.
    Regards,
    Patrick
