MCI8 report with Location
Dear All,
MCI8 Cost analysis report can be generated FL, Equipment, month wise. My client requirement is to see the report Plant wise so they will know how many orders types have been generated in a plant and the cost.
Please help if any Exit is required or STD is available.

Thanks, here it is not showing Order types, as in MCI8 we can select the period in months and the reports shows the order type created in that month, same way when I select location it should show order types too.
E.g. I have slected Period from 04-2011 to 09-2011 F8. it shows Preventive maintenance. breakdown maintenance and maintenance request order types with no's and cost respectively.
same way I should be able to select location or in my case plant and period from- to when F8 is selected the report should show Preventive maintenance. breakdown maintenance and maintenance request order types with no's and cost respectively.

I have solution for your requirement.
Go to Tcode OAVI
Create new entries.
Difine a name for the sort version and enter description for the same.
Choose fields for display in standard SAP asset reports.
For your case enter table name ANLAV field names MENGE, STORT, and KOSTL. etc
Here you can choose various other fields also.
Then use this sort version while runnnig the SAP standard asset reports.
By using this sort version you can able to to see the quantity, location and cost center fields available during any any asset balances report. So take a printout of the asset balances report S_ALR_87011964 - Asset Balances by Asset Class along with the above fields and go for physical verification
Note: This development you can directly do it in your production system
This will defenetely fix your requirement.

Open report with "Save as" and "Open with" dialogue
Hi,
I'm using jasper reports within my application. I manage to open them in a new window but in that case the url containing JasperServer username and password is shown. I would like to open the report without showing the url.
I tryed using a database procedure (http://sqlcur.blogspot.com/2009/02/jasperreports-in-apex.html) but all I get is a alert window saying "file does not begin with ' pdf-'". Couldn't see what is the problem (I used the same procedure as Ino has in his example) so I thought of another way. Is it possible, when someone clicks a button to open a report, to open that report with a "Save as" and "Open with" pop up window?

I'm new to FlexPMD. I have just generated my firsts reports. I try to generate HTML reports.
I browse the documentation, this forum and the web and I find informations to :
- generate documentation with Hudson
- generate documentation with Maven
- generate documentation with XSLT pmd.xml -> html
Ok, I try to keep it simple. So I don't want to use Hudson.
I'm using ANT, and I currently don't want to install/learn Maven.
I'm using FlexUnit with ANT. And It's really simple to generate reports :

I'm really new to FlexPMD, so I don't have currently a big knowledge, but it seems impossible to generate a HTML report just like junitreport. (1 line in an ANT task)
I test the XSLT transformation found on this forum (thread "XSLT pmd.xml -> html"). It's really cool. But it's seems difficult, for example, to extract the wrong code part and add it to the HTML page.
So, what is the simpler solution to generate HTML report just with FlexPMD/ANT ?

Crystal Report with text(csv) data file, can we set it as input parameter?

I am a new user of Crystal Reports 2008.
I have created a report with charts in it. The input data comes from a csv text file.
Can I set the name of this text file as an input parameter?
as I need to generate 44 similar reports with different text filenames(and data)?

I did exactly what you said.
Just to see any change, I first gave a bad report file name just to see if I am accidentally pointing to a different file,
but I got an error saying report not found.
Then I renamed my original datafile name and generated a report and it still generated one without giving an error.
Then I also gave a junk name to the logoninfo and printed that name, the new name was assigned to logoninfo, but the code did not error out.
It ended up generating the report.
Now here is what I think is happening,
1) The save data in report option seems to be still on even though I have turned it off in 2 locations
a) file -> Report Options
b) file -> Options -> Reporting tab.
2) For some reason the logoninfo is getting ignored as well.
Since I did not see any answers yesterday I posted a link to this thread on the .Net forum

and Ludek Uher says that I am connecting to the text file via a DAO database engine and so need to use the same code for changing the text file as for changing an Access database.
But the link he gave me tells me to try the same thing that we have been trying..
Here is my plan,
1) I will first try and find out why my save data with report option is still on ( but it shows off in Crystal ).
2) why is LogonInfo getting ignored.
Meanwhile any suggestions from anyone are welcome. -
Unable to configure BI Publisher report with Primavera Unifier
Hello Friends,
We have installed Primavera Unifier 9.14 release on one Linux machine and OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 is installed on another Linux machine.
For configuration, we shared OBIEE installed folder with the Primavera Linux machine.We followed all the steps that are mentioned in the configuration guide for OBIEE(BI Publisher) with Unifier.
While configuring BI Publisher Reports with Unifier,we are getting following error: Test connection failed.
"failed to create URL for the wsdl location: 'META_INF/wsdl/Catalogservice.wsdl' retrying as local file.
no protocol: /META_INF/wsdl/CatalogService.wsdl"
Unifier Log message:
ERROR: getCatalogInfo.ex=javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Provider com.sun.xml.ws.spi.ProviderImpl not found.
We have tested BIP login on Unifier application server machine and its working fine.
BIP END URL used: http://hostname:9704
BIP User: BIPUSER123
BIP Password: BIPUSER123
BIP Report Folder: ReportFolderName
BIPUSER123 user has admin privileges and also ReportFolder is having required access.
Is there any workaround or are we missing some configurations?

Reports with wrong Server details (using ODBC name instead of server name)

When I save a report either in Crystal Reports 11 (File save as, Enterprise u2013 Central Management Server) or Central Manager Console, Objects New Object I get an error.
On looking at the database all reports I am adding or saving are automatically taking the wrong server details, and it is a greyed out field, so I cannot edit it. I presumed it is getting this information from my ODBC settings, but appears to be using the ODBC name/description as the server name (The Database and usernames are correct). This is happening on every report!
Any ideas what I am doing wrong? How I can save or add new reports with the correct details?

No, Crystal Reports in not installed on the server, and the ODBC settings are not setup on the server. However I did add the correct ODBC settings on the server but this has made no difference.
So do I need to setup all the ODBC settings in advance of anyone saving a report (I will need to try and find obtain them all)?
Should the server also have a version of Crystal Reports on it?
One report is working but it was added by the guy that installed it, and this report is using the same database as all the reports that I have added, and should be the same ODBC settings.
The server (server username) does not have access to the original location of the reports, so it cannot run the reports - however when I save them to the server via enterprise or the import tool, does a version of the report get saved on the server? If so can you point me in the direction of them, so I can try and run them via the server? -
Creating a SSRS report with dynamic overlapping images
I have to create a report with the following requirement:
1: The first page has some hi-res images of 8 different geometric shapes with text in it. The location of the images on the page will be static, however the fill color of image can be either green or grey.E.g. one box can be green for one user , for other it
can be grey etc.
2: Export the report in excel,pdf and word
I am planning to use SSRS for this.
I am planning to create the report with superimposed images, e.g. green palette shape and grey palette shape superimposed on each other .Depending on the selection made by the user, I want to "Send to Back" or "Bring to Front." Can I change
the "Send to Back" or "Bring to Front" properties at runtime depending on parameters passed to the report?
Also, I want the image path to be configurable, so that when business wants to change the text or color of the image, I do not need to redeploy the code. I can just change the image.
how can I create the RDL such that the images are at the proper positions? DO I need to insert a tablix for proper positioning of the image?

As far as I know, overlapping of item does not work in the soft-break renderers like HTML, Word and Excel. However, it is work in hard-break renderers like PDF or TIFF.
In your case, we can insert text box in rectangle to work around the issue. We can insert an image in rectangle and another image insert in a text box. Then, put the text box in the rectangle.
In SSRS, we cannot use parameter to control the location of image. However, we can use go to report action to work around the issue. Please refer to the steps below:
Create two similar report, the difference between two reports is the location of these image.
In the first report, add a text box fill with “Send to Back”.
Add action “go to report” of the text box go to the second report.
In the second report, add a text box fill with “Bring to Front”.
Add action “go to report” of the text box go to the first report.

Over here, the data is being filtered always for current month and for a location that is being selected by user from a report selection parameter.
I would like to get the count of total no. of customers and sum of the amount measure.
When I am using them in calculated members it gives incorrect values. It considers all records (ignores the sub-select statements) instead of only the records of current month and selected location.
I also tried with EXISTING keyword in calculated members but there is not difference in output. Finally, I manage the same at SSRS level.
Can anybody please advise what are the ways to get the required sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension?
Also, does it make any difference if I manage it as SSRS level and not at MDX query level?

We can use SUM function and COUNT function to sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension. Here is a sample query for you reference.

the data (TimeDataRetrieval);Time to process the report (TimeProcessing);Time to render the report (TimeRendering). If you manage it on MDX query level, then the TimeDataRetrieval might a little longer. If you manage it on report level, then the TimeProcessing
or TimeRendering time might a little longer. You can test it on you report with following query:

How to match the BI Inventory Management reports with MB5B?
Hi All,
In BI we have two reports which shows the Quantity, Value and count of the valuated GI and GR movements happened in the inventory at a material-plant level for a given day. Both the reports are built on the cube 0IC_C03(Material Stocks/Movements ). We need to display only those movements which has a value associated with that. Ideally it should match with the R3 report MB5B for stock type "Valuated Stock".
For example,
For movement type 311(storage location to storage location) there are no accounting documents associated with that. Still in the data source it has field u201CStock categoryu201D(BSTTYP) as blank, which indicates that it is a valuated stock. And hence that record is displayed in the BI report. But In MB5B there are no entries for that movement type as there is no value associated with that.
Similarly for movement type 101 (Goods receipt) the stock category, BSTTYP in the data source indicates that it is valuated stock, where as MB5B eliminates those which has no value associated with that.
This is causing a mismatch between the R/3 MB5B and the BI Reports. Is there any method to match the BI reports with the MB5B report in R3?
