What kind of VC(type 5 or type 4) is negotiated between the 2 boxes(sh xconnect all detail)
Is ME3600 receiving untagged traffic?
The behaviour with PW VC type 4 has changed after 15.3S release.
Previously the tag added depended on the Bridge-domain but now the encapsulation of the
packet is retained. And for untagged packets a dummy tag with vlan-id 0 is added.

Yahoo Mail push problem with stock email app

It is nice to see that Verizon is offering push services for yahoo mail (and possibly for others as well, I only tried yahoo) on select phones now, the Droid Charge being one of them. If you add a yahoo account in the stock email app, it configures it through "Verizon email gateway server" and the messages will be pushed to the phone just like gmail had been, and you will get your new messages almost instantaneously.
I previously had an htc incredible and that phone did not have that feature. My e-mails were being checked at an interval that I could select, but not pushed.
What this email gateway does is (as I understand it): 1) your phone sends your credentials to the gateway server where they are stored, 2) the server connects to yahoo mail servers with your credentials, and 3) whenever there is a new message, the gateway server retrieves and pushes it to your phone, in other words it pretty much acts as the middle man that has a notification capability. The gateway server only accesses your inbox folder and it only does incoming services. For other things such as sending messages or checking other folders, your phone connects to yahoo mail servers directly. My incredible on the other hand used to connect to yahoo mail servers directly for everything including inbox access and unfortunately those servers do not have the push capability to mobile devices.
I got the Charge over two weeks ago and enjoyed push on yahoo for about ten days. But then suddenly it stopped working. It would no longer update my inbox even when I selected refresh through the menu. If I went into other folders, they would update and I could send emails. However, my inbox would not update. I waited a day, then I went into settings/apps/manage apps and deleted the cache and data of the mail application to fix a possible glitch. (It works on the market app when all of your downloaded apps disappear from the list every once in a while due to a glitch)
I ended up with a blank inbox that couldn't download any of the messages. Then I removed the yahoo account and tried to readd. Now I get the "Fetching mailbox failed, retrying. . ." error and sometimes it retries for up to a half hour (until I manually stop it) or sometimes it says "Unable to connect to server" after a couple of minutes.
Following is a list of things I tried:
1) Set up a different Yahoo account:
Works without a glitch, push enabled
2) Try the original email account with wrong password:
Gives a credential error, so password authentication is not the problem
3) Manual configuration through selecting "Others" rather than "Yahoo Mail" in the add account menu:
Unchecking "Use Verizon email gateway" makes it work, but without push. My phone is able to connect to Yahoo servers directly with the same exact settings
I am pretty sure the problem is with the Verizon gateway server having a glitch with my email account. So someone in charge of that server has to go through the list of accounts set up and either reset or delete mine, so I can set it up again through my phone.
I called Verizon support the other day and finally talked to a level 2 rep after having to do the restart, take battery out and all that nonsense. It took them a while to understand the actual situation. It's not their fault really, my problem is complicated and a level 2 rep simply does not have that kind of knowledge. They tried to connect me to Samsung representatives, which was a waste of time, because there is nothing wrong with the hardware as it works with a different yahoo account with no problems, and it also works when connecting to yahoo directly. After spending two and a half hours on the phone, and after the rep talked to her supervisor and the samsung reps to learn more about the verizon gateway server, she finally told me I was right about the issue, and assured me that they would fix it and call me within two hours.
It has been two days, I haven't heard a thing.
What frustrates me is that there wasn't a single person there who could even grasp what could be causing the issue. They had never heard about the email gateway, I had to explain to them. I am not mad that the level 2 rep or her supervisor didn't know, but I am pretty **bleep** that they could not put me in touch with a person who did.
I know there is at least one person at Verizon who manages the gateway server, but the question is how can anyone contact him???
Verizon keeps offering these new services that are really cool for the most part, but their support system is very disconnected from their engineers/technical staff. The customer service is unable to fix problems other than billing issues, and their answer for everything else is to "take the battery out and restart the phone".
For now, I set up my account manually, without the Verizon email gateway, so I don't have "push" working. It's a shame because it is such an easy thing to fix only if I could get in touch with the right person.

UPDATE:
After waiting for about ten days, I tried setting up my e-mail the regular way (by selecting yahoo mail) again yesterday. To my surprise, it went through without a glitch. I guess the cache of the gateway server must have been reset.
I have been enjoying push for yahoo mail for the last 24 hours again. But I just noticed now, that the problems might be starting again. There are recent e-mails that don't show up on my phone, but do through yahoo's web mail page. When I select "refresh" through the menu on the phone, I see the circle in the top corner spinning for as long as I wait, but the e-mails don't get downloaded. That is exactly how my problems had started in the first place. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and wait and hope that it fixes itself.
There might be a compatibility problem with yahoo servers and the verizon email gateway because I have two gmail accounts set up with the stock e-mail the same way, both using verizon's gateway server for push, and they have both been working with no problems for almost a month. (Even though sometimes the "push" is delayed by up to 5-10 min, most of the time it is within a couple of minutes and that's fine, I'm not that picky) And when I do "refresh", ti only takes a few seconds to complete the request.
And I still haven't heard anything from Verizon.

Tag info problem

When I drop new music on my iPod touch 5G via iTunes 12.1.1.4 and start editing tag info (Artist, album, cover , e.t.c) , I see changes only in Itunes, but not in iPod, even when I push Sync button in right down corner.
How can I fix it?

If they are mp3s, try changing the ID3 tag version.
Ctrl-click one of the files, click "Convert ID3 tags...", check "ID3 tag version", select "v2.4", press OK, and try playing the file.

Income Tax Calculation problem: Urgent Help Needed

Dear Gurus,
I am facing a unique problem. Our client has two incentives
1) Product Incentive
2) Sales Incentive
Every month incentive figures get changed. These two are Monthly Regular Income (Cumulations Class 24) i.e. included in annual tax calculation.
Now for tax calculation, my client wants "Actual Earning" and "Estimated Earning for the rest of the year" to be different. But Income tax calculation in SAP (for the month of April 2007) takes Actual Earning and multiplied it by 12( i.e. 11+1) to calculate Estimated Earning. But my client wants this Estimated Earning to be different.
Now please let me know is this possible in SAP system and how to calculate this?

Mail.app: text in table cells in incoming formatted mail - problems replying

mail.app 7.2, threading enabled
Sometimes I receive a formatted email that is really difficult to reply to, when I want to intersperse my reply text among the incoming paragraphs.
The trouble occurs when multiple incoming paragraphs are grouped. I can’t open up vertical space for my reply text inside the groups.
If I click anywhere in the group, mail.app marks the group with a surrounding rounded-corner grey rectangle, with a X-in-a-circle “close icon” at the upper left corner.
When I look at the raw source of the incoming message, I see that the groups correspond to table cells, that is, the sending mail client enclosed the paragraphs within a <td> … </td> pair.
The sending email client is sending me a table, for no clear reason — the group doesn’t correspond to anything obvious in the message thread.
I’m guessing we won’t ever know why some email clients group paragraphs like this, but I’d like to do my best to adapt, so I can keep up with my incoming email.
Yeah, I can ask my correspondents to use a different email client, or perhaps different settings in the same client, but except for the few tekkies among my correspondents, this isn’t really practical. I can also ask my clients to use unformatted messages, but THAT is a whole different issue, and frequently isn’t practical, either.
My questions:
Q1: What’s the point of the grey rectangle and the “close icon”? (Is this mail.app’s way of saying, “I received this crazy formatting, almost impossible to process, so I’m making it easy for you to just delete the whole mess”? Or what?)
Q2: Is there any SIMPLE way to untangle (modify or remove) these groupings within mail.app? (I guess I can access the raw html, copy-and-paste it into another app, modify it, and paste the results back into my reply. Yuck!)
Q3: Am I missing a really obvious work-around or fix?

In your question, you indicated that you are running Firefox 8. Is that correct? It might be difficult to diagnose issues with that version because most people have moved on to Firefox 12 (plus or minus 1 version). Can you upgrade?
It's hard to think of a reason that ordinary text or links in ordinary text would not display. For embedded images or videos, one possibility is a difference in the protocol, i.e., HTTP (not secure) versus HTTPS (secure).
Hopefully someone else will have a better guess (or actual knowledge!).
Regarding the blue lines in a message, that usually indicates the earlier message was forwarded a few times. I don't know whether Gmail will let you reformat that area or whether you have to clean it in another application (e.g., for plain text, in Notepad) and paste it back in.

Custom Tag Capitalization Problem..

          I have a set of custom tags that run fine when I use them on an app server (such as Enhydra) with JDK 1.2.2, but when I switch to JDK 1.3.x, which weblogic 6.x requires, they suddenly start generating errors with attributes which have capitalized letters in them. For example, in my taglib I have:

A solution presents itself:
          The problem was NOT with capitalization. Instead, the problem was as
          follows:
          My method was for setting a boolean, but I took a string so that people
          wouldn't have to type:
          <mytags:tag foo="<%=true%>" />
          instead, they could type:
          <mytags:tag foo="true" />
          which would call the setter method with a string "true", which would be then
          converted to a boolean within my class.
          So my setter has this signature:
          public void setFoo(String s)
          and my getter has this signature:
          public boolean getFoo() /* I know this isn't standard, but isFoo doesn't
          sound good to me*/
          I can't tell if it's because JavaBeans changed slightly between jdk 1.2.2
          and 1.3.x, or if Weblogic changed the way that they do things (I suspect the
          latter, since I had things working fine in WL 5.2 w/ jdk 1.2.2 and then
          things broke with WL 5.2 w/ jdk 1.3), but this no longer returns foo as a
          valid property to be set, and since weblogic 6.x relies on JavaBeans,
          instead of straight up introspection, it barfs. (I found this out by using
          jad/emacs, a wicked combination for those who want to poke around in jars).
          Anyway, I hope I can save someone else who has this same, albeit
          specialized, problem a lot of pain by my discovery. Your getters and
          setters better be of the same type with custom tags, or weblogic w/ jdk1.3.x
          is gonna barf when parsing the tld.

Import Tag library problem in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0

I want to have an FCKEditor on a JHeadstart generated page, so I downloaded the FCKFaces jar with the tag library in it.
When I try to add the FCKFaces tag library to my project, doing just that and not modifying any code, when I run my application after that I get an empty page... No data in the project. This is very confusing because everything works well, no code errors, the fck library is found and auto completion works with the library.
So when I have the empty page, to view the JHeadstart page again I just have to shut down JDeveloper, go to the project/web-inf/lib directory and delete the FCKFaces jar. When I do that and start up again, the page loads successfully.

JSP Tag extensions problem

Hi there,In WLS 6.0 i am encountering a problem in using a JSP expression as a value to a custom tag's attribute. I've specified RTEXPRAL to be TRUE in the TLD. But still the tag is not being evaluated at all. But if i repalce the JSP expression with a hard coded value then everything seems to work perfectly fine. Is it that i have to enclose the JSP expression within double or single quotes?

directory, then copy the following jar files to a lib directory under that new
directory:

esjsp.jar
um_tags.jar
wljsp.jar
This will be fixed in a future release.

Newbie - JSP and TAG library problem

I am trying to execute a JSP program on a server with
jakarta-tomcat-4.1.29.
Here is a program:

in web.xml I have definition:

I have testTag.tld file located at: /WEB-INF/tld
When I execute my program I am getting:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: File "/test-jsp/testTagURL" not
found
My question: how come my program is looking for "/test-jsp/testTagURL" and
not for "/WEB-INF/tld/testTag.tld"?

means what it says.
If you look in the file WEB-INF/displaytag.tld you'll see it
has a definition for a custom tag, I'm guessing it's called column.
The tld states that this tag has an attribute called "value". ie that
in a jsp file you would write
<display:column value="SomeSuperValue" /> However the java class that implements that custom tag
does not have a setter method for value. ie. the class
org.displaytag.tags.ColumnTag is missing the method

Russian / Cyrillic tag encoding problems in iTunes 6

Hello,
I had an older version of iTunes (I think it may have been 4, not sure...) on my older PC. I have several thousand Russian music files, and spent considerable time cleaning up all the tags so that my Russian songs would be in Cyrillic and my English songs in English...
My old PC crashed and I purchased a new Windows laptop. I downloaded iTunes 6 for Windows and loaded up my old iTunes library. Everything in Cyrillic showed up fine to begin with, but I noticed that for some songs, as soon as they are selected in iTunes the Cyrillic tag encoding turns into gibberish (of the accented-European-vowels sort.) I have tried using the "convert id3 tags" tool in every combination imaginable and it is not fixing the problems.
I've searched a bit in the forums and on the internet for advice on fixing the problem - most suggest just re-tagging each song manually. That's a frustrating option, as there are several thousand of them, and as soon as I select them to re-tag them, they turn to gibbersih and thus I lose the information and don't know what to retag them with... some of them I am much less familiar with and don't know who the artist is, etc., just by listening.
iTunes 6 for Mac apparantly has the same problem, but there appears to be a converter available for iTunes for Mac at http://rumac.blogspot.com/2005/08/itunes.html
Has anyone found a solution to this problem for the Windows version?

When I switch back to iTunes from another application by clicking in the iTunes button in the Taskbar the computer locks up tight. No Mouse. No keyboard response at ALL.

HTML Map tag zoom problem.

We have discovered a problem with our webpage that only occurs on safari. We have an image with an image where we use an <map><area> tags to indicate click-able hot spots on the image. When you change the zoom level in the browser, increasing or decreasing the size of the image the relative location of the hot spot changes within the image.
This problem happens in both windows and mac versions of safari. IE, Chrome and FireFox handle this correctly.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

a webkit nightly from http://webkit.org will likely fix it on an individual machine - but afaik, apple didn't include the fix in the recent safari updates.

Div tag viewing problem

When I wrap a div tag around an image - I don't see that
image in the "designer view"
I do see it when I look at it in a browser.
Isn't there some way that I should be able to see the image
in the designer view?

Missing message(s) tag obscures problems

If you inadvertently introduce an error to your application, and has forgotten to put a message or messages
tag in your page, the behaviour is confusing (the app. just seems to stop working).
An example is if you insert an inputText tag bound to a property having only a getter and no setter,
and you forget to set disabled="true" on it.
The default behaviour should not be just hiding the error (one has to look carefully in the log to find it).
If the end of the RENDER_RESPONSE phase is reached, and there still are unprocessed
messages, some sort of output should be rendered, to signal to the user (or developer) that
something is wrong in the application.
Hence the message and messages tags should act not only as renderers but also as consumers of FacesMessages in the FacesContext.
An idea for the next release?

Email Push Problems

Has anyone having trouble with there email not being pushed to their phones?
I have a Yahoo account which all emails are going through ok, but not no emails
are push through to my phone. It says that there is a server problem.
I have reset my phone and check my accounts, this has just happen from no where.

Login to Yahoo then top right click on icon called MAIL
This takes you into your mail box, then top left i think it says OPTIONS, this is a pull down, select MAIL OPTIONS, there you will see on the left various options and there is where you will see the POP/FORWARD option, click on that and select the first option to get your mail popped.
