Me22n - PO

All,
I have a purchase order in held status due to an error.
If I go to ME22N with that purchase order and click on the save button the system sends a pop up to save/edit/cancel and once I click save it ignores the error and saves the purchase order.
Has anybody encountered this? Is there a solution to this?

Let me explain in detail.
We have issued an error message in the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
Initially if the po has error the po gets saved as a held po.This is fine
Once I go to Me22n and open my held PO If I dont click on check button but click the save button system removes my errors and
show the options save/edit/cancel and saves the PO.
Is there a way to restrict users to save if the po is in held status?

Authorization error while attaching document in ME22N

Hi,
Scenario 1: I attach a document in ME22N and then save it. Result: I get an authorization error.
Error is: "You have no authorization for extensions (activity03)"
Scenario 2: I just make a change (say in price) without attaching any document and then when i try to save it. Result: There is no authorization error.
Message (output) type in both the cases is EDI.
On further investigation, we found the authority-check abap statement which is responsible for throwing the error.

Reg. Exit/BADI for changing item data of PO in ME22N

Hi all,
My requirement is to update the field LABNR (Order Ack.) of few specific line items of a PO, in the Transaction ME22N, using Exit/BADI.
I have tried the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. But the PROCESS_ITEM method of this BADI processes only the line item which has been changed/inserted in ME22N transaction. But my requirement is to update line items irrespective of whether that line item was "changed/not changed" during the process in ME22N screen.
Could you please suggest me some suitable Exit/BADI for this requirement.

Problem solved by implementing the method Process_Header.
1. Get the items from Header                              - im_header->get_items
2. Loop the item list and get the line item record   - re_item-item->get_data
3. <- Logic to Update the line item - >.
4. Update the line item                                       - re_item-item->set_data

Changes not getting captured in MM06E005 of ME22N

Hi,
My requirement is to add an additional tab at Item Level and a field in that tab. I used the MM06E005 and implemented it. I can see the tab and the field in it at Item level.But when iam making changes in ME22N,the change is not getting Saved.
i created a field   ZZVEND type char in CI_EKPODB .
Created the check box with same field name in Screen Exit 0111 of MM06E005.
Then i kept the coding in following exits
EXIT_SAPMM06E_016
break-point.
EXIT_SAPMM06E_017
break-point.
EXIT_SAPMM06E_018
break-point.
IF I_UCOMM = 'MESAVE' .
E_CI_UPDATE = 'X'.

While running ME22N,its first going into EXIT_SAPMM06E_016 and after checking the ZZVEND i in ME22N ts going to EXIT_SAPMM06E_017.
But i dont see
I_EKPO-ZZVEND = 'X' in Importing Parameters or TEKPO-ZZVEND = 'X' in Tables of EXIT_SAPMM06E_017.
After this its entering into
EXIT_SAPMM06E_018.
Finally the data is not getting Saved but the message is showing 'Purchase Order changed'.
Please suggest where I am going wrong.

Thankyou for the replies. I kept the following coding in the Exits. The problem is that i kept the break-point in the three exits and after running ME22N,its entering first into Exit 16 and after checking the field(Check Box) in Customer Data Tab ,its entering into Exit 17. But the zfield in I_EKPO is empty,the value 'X' is not reflecting here. Please suggest where i am doing wrong. I went through many SDN threads and i am unable to solve the issue.

Custom tab data not saving in ME22N w/ BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST

Hello all,
I have implemented BAdis ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST & ME_GUI_PO_CUST and created a custom tab at the header level in ME21N/ME22N. I have fields such as Delivery Date and Ex Factory Date in my tab.
We are able to put data in these fields and have that data populate their respective fields in the Purchase Order.
Our users would like to be able to run ME22N and select certain line items and have only those items changed with the data from the custom fields.
So, my question is how do I handle line selection in the context of these BAdIs? Is there a way to know which lines have been selected and then only change the data in those items?
I have looked in Class CL_PO_ITEM_HANDLE_MM for an attribute or method that might help but I haven't found anything as of yet.
I have found that the field MEPO1211-TCSELFLAG is set when a line is selected in ME22N. However, I haven't found a way to work with it. It doesn't get passed to any of the methods in the BAdIs, as far as I know.

We were able to capture the lines selected by using code from method mass_change in Include LMEGUICJK, Function Group MEGUI. The lines are in the lt_models table.
So, now my issue is getting data to save in ME22N. When I put data in my custom tabs and select a line, the data gets changed on the screen but does not save. It does work when I make a change in another field, like changing the description for instance. I'm using the set_changed method in Process_Header from ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST but it doesn't work.
I'm getting the idea that I'm the first ABAP developer to try this...

Error msg when changing the MRP type in ME22N

Hi,
When i change MRP type from MRP to Manual in ME22N, it will come out the error msg:Purchase request mandatory for MRP generated Purchase order (Application area: ME Message no. ME901)! My question is how to change this error msg to warning msg?
From SPRO-Material Management-Purchasing-Environment Data-Define Attributes of System Messages ,i can not find the entry regarding this issue.

New Tab Data need to be Saved in Me22n

I ading a new Tab in Me22n T-code in the Item level and the tab name is Date.
The scenario is like that in the date I created 4 fields there are 1) Expected Production Date
2)Expected Shipping Date Remaning 3)Actual Production Date and 4)Actual Shiped Date
Now when ever the date chosen from the above 4 fields and click on save then date must me saved.
I have used 2 badi's for this functionality, but i'm not able to get the exact code to save the date.

take a enhancement:MM06E005, here u have screen exits, function exits and include tables.
1. add your customized fields to : CI_EKKODB and CI_EKPODB Structurs
2. add ur new tab in screen numb: 111, keep all fileds in under on group.
3. write code at PBO and PAI for 111 screen
4. implemente the code at this function exists: exit_sapmm06e_006, exit_sapmm06e_008, exit_sapmm06e_012.

Output type is not appearing in ME22N

Hi,
I have created some POs through sales order.i.e created a sales order and taken the PR from that.
Using ME59N, I have converted the PR to PO. The PO will have some output types attached (in the unprocesssed status).
The Output types (in the MESSAGES) are visible in ME23N. When I look into the PO in change mode ME22N, the output types are not appearing.... this is not the case with all the POs. Happening only for few POs.
Could you please suggest.

Review your condition record values against the PO's that don't have an output type.
Could be something like purchasing group, material group, etc.

In PO screen u will be having option for print preview so click on that and u will be able to see , print and print preview option, thr u can select for print option.

How to prevent PO changes in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?

Dear Jaime S,
You can do this by restricting in authorization SHDO and also by marking "changes not possible after release" in Release strategy procedure.
And also you can navigate the menu to, SPRO------>IMG------>Material Management--->Purchasing(OLME)------->Purchase Order---->Define screen Layouts at Document Level---->And go to ME22n And Select the right parameter and in this you can make it display, optional or required entry for the fields.

In TC CMOD you can create a new proyect and use the component MEREQ001 with this component you can see adicional tab in those TC.

How To Prevent The Modification Statistical Delivery Date In PO (Me22n)

My Issue is as follows:
While I am creating a PO (Of Type STO ->UB) when I put the Delivery Date for a particular Item in the "ITEM OVERVIEW" Screen and press Enter, the same information is copied into the "ITEM DETAIL" screen under the "DELIVERYSCHEDULE" Tab. Over there I see that the Delivery Date and the Statistical Delivery Date" are same. Now when I save the PO and then go to transaction ME22n for the same PO, if I change the Delivery Date in the "ITEM OVERVIEW" Screen, again the same change is reflected in the "DELIVERYSCHEDULE" Tab, on the hit of ENTER button.
Now what I have to do is to prevent the Statistical Delivery Date from being changed Automatically. That is when I create the PO, the value of "STATISTICAL DATE" then evaluated should remain unchanged throughout (unless changed manually). The reason I need this is because it will help the user to evaluate the performance of the Vendor.
Kindly Advise... as to whether there is a way of doing it through exits or enhancements.

Glad it worked out. As from the statistical date field help:
The system inserts the delivery date into this field in the following
cases:
o   You do not enter a statistical delivery date.
o   You change the delivery date, have not entered a statistical
    delivery date, and the PO or scheduling agreement delivery schedule
    has not yet been transmitted to the vendor.
Basically, item delivery date is copied to the statistical date if statistical date is blank (which it is at PO creation).
After creation, the statistical date is changed if the delivery date is changed and the PO has not been printed (outputted).

Hiding a customized tab (from header and item) in ME21N, ME22N and ME23N

I need to make invisible a customized tab in Po creation(me21n), change(me22n) and display(me23n) in enjoySAP transaction for a particulat Doucument type.
Please let me know the possibility and the solution to implement.

Hi Kishore,
The customized tab cannot be made visible or invisible conditionally. Instead you can write some text inside the tab to distinguish between different document types.

Short dump while change/display a PO ME22N and ME23N

while i try to use tcode ME21N it works but when try to use Tcode ME22N and ME23N it gives me a short dump

Did you check for OSS notes (as this seems to be a standard program) - e.g. 1930814 - Exception NOT_FOUND in the program /NFM/SAPLSELECTS. If no OSS note solved the problem, then raise an OSS message.

This code is in production and has been working fine.
The requirnment is now to make this indicator work for all the Purchase order before this code has been written in the Exit. For this my functional suggests that to write a separate program using BDC for PO change and jus add a period/dot in the short text and save it. The code has been written, the user exit and the above code is getting triggrred values are updated in internal table correctly.
However the flags was not set or cleared when seen in the tcode ME22N . This works fine if the tcode me22n is run directly and not working in BDC.
I have tried with ME22 without enjoy transaction in BDC changing the POT Program to SAPMM06E. It does not work.
Please help me as why it is not uodating in the table when using BDC.
