Meaning of ABAP code?

Hi
Can you please tell me meaning of these two lines??
What is usage of them??
l_/bi0/app_o0100_itab TYPE HASHED TABLE OF /bi0/app_o0100 WITH UNIQUE KEY prodorder,
l_/bi0/app_ds0300_itab TYPE HASHED TABLE OF /bi0/app_ds0300 WITH UNIQUE KEY coorder calday.
New table l_/bi0/app_o0100_itab is refering to only structure of original table /bi0/app_o0100 or it will refer to data of orginal table also??
Regards
Swati

hi
SELECT * FROM /bi0/app_o0100
APPENDING CORRESPONDING FIELDS
OF TABLE l_/bi0/app_o0100_itab
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN it_prodorder_package
WHERE prodorder = it_prodorder_package-prodorder.
The above statement is used to retreive data from the original table /bi0/app_o0100 into internal table l_/bi0/app_o0100_itab... for all the entries..of another internal table it_prodorder_package, that means for all the records of it_prodorder_package.... based on the condition that /bi0/app_o0100-prodorder = it_prodorder_package-prodorder., so it will pick all the records which satisfy the where condition...
REFRESH:
This statement is used to clear the contents of internal table body.

Vishwa.

  • Calling a web service in an ABAP code

    Hello Experts,
Is it possible to consume a web service in an ABAP code?
    Note: I am using SAP R/3 4.7.
    Thanks!

Do you mean opening the web browser through our ABAP source code?
If yes, then please use the function module: "CALL_INTERNET_ADDRESS". This will do the job for you..

  • ABAP Code for summation of key figure

    Hi Guys,
I am new to ABAP and my requirement is as follows-
I have an infocube containing data like
    Location Item      Amount Month
    India       TV        10        Jan
    India       DVD     10        Jan
    India       XBOX   10       Jan
    US          TV        10       Jan
    US          XBOX   15       Jan
    US          DVD     20        Jan
    UK          XBOX   30       Jan
    UK          TV        20       Jan
    UK          DVD     15       Jan
    India       TV      20         Feb
    US          DVD   20         Feb
    UK          XBOX 10        Feb
    India       TV      20        Mar
Now by using open hub, I want to extract a file which would display report as -
    Output file
    15-Oct-2010
    Location  Item   Amount
    India        TV     50
    India        DVD   10
    India        XBOX 10
    US           TV      10
    US           DVD   40
    US           XBOX 15
    UK          TV       20
    UK          DVD    15
    UK         XBOX  40
which means it should sum based on combination of location and item and create one single row.
I need some ABAP code which could be written in expert routine so as to to calculate single rows of amount for all data packets of infocube.
Kindly suggest on how to proceed on it.
    Thanks in advance

    <b>INTERSECT</b>
    select field1, field2, . field_n
    from tables;
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi
    Check out this procedure...
    DATA: FRANKFURT(4) TYPE X,
          FRISCO(4)    TYPE X,
          INTERSECT(4) TYPE X,
          UNION(4)     TYPE X,
          BIT          TYPE I.
    DATA: CARRID TYPE SPFLI-CARRID,
CARRIER LIKE SORTED TABLE OF CARRID
                              WITH UNIQUE KEY TABLE LINE.
    DATA WA TYPE SPFLI.
SELECT CARRID FROM SCARR INTO TABLE CARRIER.
    SELECT CARRID CITYFROM FROM SPFLI
                           INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF WA.
      WRITE: / WA-CARRID, WA-CITYFROM.
READ TABLE CARRIER FROM WA-CARRID TRANSPORTING NO FIELDS.
      CASE WA-CITYFROM.
        WHEN 'FRANKFURT'.
          SET BIT SY-TABIX OF FRANKFURT.
        WHEN 'SAN FRANCISCO'.
          SET BIT SY-TABIX OF FRISCO.
      ENDCASE.
    ENDSELECT.
    INTERSECT = FRANKFURT BIT-AND FRISCO.
    UNION     = FRANKFURT BIT-OR  FRISCO.
    SKIP.
WRITE 'Airlines flying from Frankfurt and San Francisco:'.
    DO 32 TIMES.
GET BIT SY-INDEX OF INTERSECT INTO BIT.
        IF BIT = 1.
READ TABLE CARRIER INDEX SY-INDEX INTO CARRID.
          WRITE CARRID.
        ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
    SKIP.
WRITE 'Airlines flying from Frankfurt or San Francisco:'.
    DO 32 TIMES.
GET BIT SY-INDEX OF UNION INTO BIT.
        IF BIT = 1.
READ TABLE CARRIER INDEX SY-INDEX INTO CARRID.
          WRITE CARRID.
        ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
This produces the following output list:
The program uses four hexadecimal fields with length 4 - FRANKFURT, FRISCO, INTERSECT, and UNION. Each of these fields can represent a set of up to 32 elements. The basic set is the set of all airlines from database table SCARR. Each bit of the corresponding bit sequences representes one airline. To provide an index, the external index table CARRIER is created and filled with the airline codes from table SCARR. It is then possible to identify an airline using the internal index of table CARRIER.
In the SELECT loop for database table SPFLI, the corresponding bit for the airline is set either in the FRANKFURT field or the FRISCO field, depending on the departure city. The line number SY-TABIX is determined using a READ statement in which no fields are transported.
The intersection and union of FRANKFURT and FRISCO are constructed using the bit operations BIT-AND and BIT-OR.
The bits in INTERSECT and UNION are read one by one and evaluated in two DO loops. For each position in the fields with the value 1, a READ statement retrieves the airline code from the table CARRIER.
    Comparing Bit Sequences
Use the following three operators to compare the bit sequence of the first operand with that of the second:
    <operator>
    Meaning
    O
    bits are one
    Z
    bits are zero
    M
    bits are mixed
The second operand must have type X. The comparison takes place over the length of the second operand. The first operand is not converted to type X.
The function of the operators is as follows:
    O (bits are one)
    The logical expression
    <f> O <hex>
is true if the bit positions that are 1 in <hex>, are also 1 in <f>. In terms of set operations with bit sequences, this comparison is the same as finding out whether the set represented by <hex> is a subset of that represented by <f>.
    Z (bits are zero)
    The logical expression
    <f> Z <hex>
is true if the bit positions that are 1 in <hex>, are 0 in <f>.
    M (bits are mixed)
    The logical expression
    <f> M <hex>
is true if from the bit positions that are 1 in <hex>, at least one is 1 and one is 0 in <f>.
Caution: The following programs are no longer supported in Unicode systems:
    REPORT demo_log_expr_bits .
    DATA: text(1) TYPE c VALUE 'C',
          hex(1) TYPE x,
          i TYPE i.
    hex = 0.
    DO 256 TIMES.
      i = hex.
      IF text O hex.
        WRITE: / hex, i.
      ENDIF.
      hex = hex + 1.
    ENDDO.
    The output is as follows:
    00          0
    01          1
    02          2
    03          3
    40         64
    41         65
    42         66
    43         67
Here, the bit structure of the character 'C' is compared to all hexadecimal numbers HEX between '00' and 'FF' (255 in the decimal system), using the operator O. The decimal value of HEX is determined by using the automatic type conversion during the assignment of HEX to I. If the comparison is true, the hexadecimal number and its decimal value are displayed on the screen. The following table shows the bit sequences of the numbers:

  • Difference between checking Objects in SU24 and in ABAP code

    Hi all,
What is the difference between objects checked in SU24 and the objects checked in ABAP Code.
I think if objects are even checked to No in SU24 and they are in ABAP code then user is able is able to execute that object, is this correct?
and vice versa, if objects are checked to yes in su24 and not in the ABAP code then user wont be able to excute? is this correct
or what is the purpose of maintaing objects both in SU24 and in ABAP Code.
    Thanks,

It is context specific, when the context is known to the customer system where the code is running => You cannot activate a check in SU24 if it is not coded anywhere (please distingish between starting a transaction, using it, and navigating further from that transaction...). The only case where SAP does what you seem to be assuming (or hoping for...) is infact to turn an authority-check off in some cases or to make the calling context known when it is remote (in which case sy-tcode or the entry point context is not known)...
*It is not to turn the check on when it is not coded anywhere!!!
Perhaps you would like to phrase your final question just one more time.

  • Execute ABAP Code Inspector from Outside of SAP

    Hi all...
For reporting purpose, I would like to use ABAP Code Inspector (transaction SCI) for generating output as a file, it should call from outside of SAP through RFC function module and generate the list (output) as flat file (or XML), does anyone have been done with similar work like this? I wonder if you could share your experience with me...
    thanks in advance,
    yayan irianto.

I managed to set up the variant, however found a problem.
I used "Search ABAP Statement Patterns" under "Search Functs" and set the pattern like followings.
    SELECT + INTO *
    SELECT SINGLE + INTO *
    However following statements were detected.
SELECT * INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
SELECT MANDT INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
SELECT SINGLE * INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
SELECT SINGLE MANDT INTO TABLE IT_DRAW FROM DRAW.
It's because + means one ABAP token in the code inspector.
Is there anyway to find only "SELECT SINGLE *" and "SELECT *" ?

  • Looking for an ABAP-code for the customer-Exit Variable

    Hello,
I have defined a Variable (Interval) which should be processed through Customer-Exit on characteristic Supplier-Date (date format). This Customer-Exit Variable is called ZDATE.
We have another time characteristic Fiscal year / period (0FISCPER) which has single mandatory input variable for ex.  003.2011. This input variable is called ZFISCPER.
Now I have to write an ABAP-Code where the customer exit variable ZDATE is derived (fiscal last year to last period) from input variable ZFISCPER in INCLUDE ZXRSRU01.
Means when the input variable (ZFISCPER) is 003.2011 then the customer exit variable ZDATE should be calculated in INCLUDE ZXRSRU01 as 01.01.2010 u2013 28.02.2011 (fiscal last year to last period).
Since I am quite new in ABAP, I will be grateful if you could write me sample ABAP for this.
    Many thanks.

    Hi,
    should be something like:
    DATA: l_s_range TYPE rsr_s_rangesid,
    input LIKE sy-datum.
    When 'ZDATE'
    CONCATENATE '0101' 0FISCPER+3(4)-1 into l_s_range-low. "You get 01012010
CONCATENATE '01' Fiscper+1(6) into input.                            "You get 01032011
    l_s_range-high = input-1.                                                     "You get 28022011
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.

  • Hierarchy Time Dependent ABAP code

    Dear Experts,
I want to ask a custom BADI ABAP code to get the hierarchy of a dimension member where Time Dependent Hieararchy is implemented in that dimension.
Currently we are using Interface method IF_UJA_DIM_DATA->get_hier_of_mbr to get the hierarchy reference.
    Sample Code:
DATA: o_test     TYPE REF TO if_uja_dim_data.
    CALL METHOD o_test->get_hier_of_mbr
         EXPORTING
           i_member = lv_member
    *      i_dateto = lv_datum
         RECEIVING
           ro_hier  = lo_hierarchy.
However after we implement the time dependent on the dimension, this method returns nothing unless we specified the i_dateto parameter to the method (which is optional).
While my requirement is to get the hierarchy of the member with the date when this logic is executed, putting SY-DATUM to this parameter does not give me the result that I need. I need to put the i_dateto as '99991231' so the hierarchy returned by this method is the latest hierarchy, but not the current date where this logic is executed.
Is there any way to make that the time hierarchy obtained is the one when the logic is executed? Or is there any other method that is feasible to meet with my requirements?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Siswono

    Hi Siswono,
Ok, I see what you mean.
Then I would suggest that you determine the hierarchy end date first.
read the hierarchy table by determine its technical name, then find the hierarchy with your date that's between the start date and end date, then you can use the end date for the next step.
use get_hier_of_mbr with the determined end date.

  • RE: Abap Code Flow for Multiple Authorization checks

    Hi all,
I am basically a security person, but i have some doubts on Authority-check in ABAP code. so i thought this is best place to understand the execution of ABAP code.
Q1. I know that ABAP programmers will put Authority check in ABAP code and when program was executed Authority-check will compare whether user has access to this object or not.
for EX take some tcode ZXYY
i activated 3 objects out of some 20 objects for this tcode in SU24.
Authority checks are placed in the program.
when this tcode was executed and started the ABAP code, then i think it will do the authority check for the first object and if user has the profile to it then it will go for the second authority-check for which if user does not had profile ( i made inactive in role)  will the code terminate  and throw some error there it self or will it go for the for 3rd object for which again user has access. (user got access to this 3rd object)
    can any explain?
Q2. Should the activities be same as in Authority-check.
I mean in Authority check if you give activities 02 and 03  and in user profile if i give only 02 will it work or not?
    thanks,

  • Abap code inspector (tx : SCI) to detect certain patterns

    Hello Experts,
I want to use SAP Code Inspector to detect common problematic ABAP codes for all developed programs.
But, I don't know how to make the check variant for detecting follwoing three patterns.
    SELECT * FROM
    SELECT * INTO
    SELECT SINGLE * INTO
I guess I can use "Search for ABAP tokens" or "Search for ABAP statements paterns". But, It did'nt work because ' * ' represents any sequence of characters in the code inspector.
    Anyone can help me?

I managed to set up the variant, however found a problem.
I used "Search ABAP Statement Patterns" under "Search Functs" and set the pattern like followings.

  • Template and ABAP code

    Hi ppl,
I am a bit confused. If i have to make some field to only 'display'(so that the user has no choice to edit),how can i do it?
-Who provides these templates??These templates that we publish are written in ABAP,right?
-Can we create our own templates and publish??
**When they say, change the template or change the ABAP code..what does it mean?Because to check the templates we goto SE80 and to change the code/add a field/edit a field--we go to SE11.Please let me know the link between SE11 and SE80 or the difference.
    Many Thanks
    Sam

    Sam,
Before changing a template please go through following,it may resolve your issue -
In this BAdI you can change the screen variant that controls the display of the item overviews and search results. As default, the following screen variants are called up:
    · Item data overview in the invoice without purchase order reference: Screen variant BBP_IV_NON_PO
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_INV
    · Item data overview in the invoice with purchase order reference: Screen variant BBP_IV
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_INV
    · Item data overview in the confirmation: Screen variant BBP_CF
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_CONF
    · Item data overview in the confirmation for time recording: Screen variant BBP_CF_TIMEREC
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_CONF
    · Item data overview in the purchase order: Screen variant BBP_PO
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_PO
    · Item overview for contracts: Screen variant BBP_CTR_ITEMLIST
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_CTR
    · Item overview for contract selection: Screen variant BBP_CTR_ITEM_SELLIST
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_CTR
    · Search results for creating an invoice and/or confirmation: Screen variant BBP_SEARCH_PO
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SEARCH
    · Search results for creating a purchase order: Screen variant BBP_SEARCH_SC
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SEARCH
    · Search results for displaying/changing an invoice: Screen variant BBP_CHANGE_IV
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SEARCH
    · Search results for displaying/changing a confirmation: Screen variant BBP_CHANGE_CF
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SEARCH
    · Item overview for creating/displaying/processing/status of a shopping cart: Screen variant BBP_SC
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SC
    · Worklist for Sourcing: Screen variant BBP_SOCO_WL
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SOCO
    · Work area in Sourcing: Screen variant BBP_SOCO_GA
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SOCO
    Activities
If you wish to hide or show fields, proceed as follows:
    1. Determine the screen variant, for example, BBP_IV, using the list above.
    2. Copy this screen variant, for example, in ZZ_BBP_IV_1, in Transaction SHD0.
    3. Change the new screen variant as required. Note that you can only change the display properties for fields of table controls. You can switch the display on and off (column Invisible in Transaction SHD0). You can recognize the fields of a table control because they have a 1 on the right side of the first column. In addition, the heading for this area contains (Table CTRL.
    4. Implement the appropriate method (see the list above). Fill the export parameter EV_SCVARIANT with the new screen variant.
You can create multiple screen variants for a screen and then select these in the BAdI depending on the user or on other criteria.
    Thanks and Warm Regards.

  • ABAP code for Date Range

    Hi All,
I have requirement to write code for date range.
Characterstic = Run-Out Date, it was created reference to 0Date.
Requirement is data should load depends on Run-Out Date 7 days old and 14 days future.
    Logic is -7 days old >= Run_out date <= 14 days future.
please let me know how I need to proceed with ABAP code for this requirement.

The problem here is A016 is a pooled table and when i check in SM50 while this user exit is running the code hangs in KAPOL ( Table pool) for a long time.
We are having long times during data loads. Does anyone know how to tune this code or any other tables from which i can take pricing related to purchasing.

if you look for the check tables for KONNR and KTPNR, it is EKKO and EKPO itself. that means, there shud be an entry in EKKO with your required KONNR.
so why dont you pick the knumv from EKKO itself ?
select knumv from ekko where ebeln = ekpo-konnr.
now, do whatever further selections you want to do, using this KNUMV.
    knumv = a016-knumh.
no need to do select from a016 at all, as we already have KNUMV.

  • IS there is any another Area for writing ABAP Codes ( Variable Exit)

Can we extractor & aggragate the Data from Lookup DSO . & show in Report of (ODS1) .
Can we extract/Aggregate Data   at run time of Query .
Please help me what are the Area/Tool  where we can write the ABAP Codes in displaying a report in  BEx Query

    Hi
Point 1: U r saying DSO is BI 7 &ODS 3.X .But Actually we will use lookup while uploading
Ex :    Data Flow  : ODS1     -           CUBE (Before Uploading data to Cube from ODS1 you need some data from ODS2.Then you will use lookup at teh ODS1-CUBE TRansformation level)
Point 2 :  As per my understand when you can execute the query the OLAP Processor will pick the data display the in theoutput as per your stucrure.Means during Run Time of query
    1. Extracting Data from Cube
    2. Claculating based on the Query Structure deisgned ( Means Aggregarion of Data  etc.......) and displays the output.
Point 3: Customer exit for BEx query will written in SE38/CMOD.

  • Debugging ABAP Code From Within Webdynpro Application

    Hello Experts,
We use ABAP RFC Function in Our Java Webdynpro application, We need to debug the parameters pass from the webdynpro application to the ABAP Function.
In order to do that we:
    1. Defined a JCO connection with "Single Server Connection" as the Destination Type.
    2. We have loged on to the relevant system and client using SAP GUI with the same user that run the webdynpro application.
    3. We have activate the external debugging in se80 Utilities -> Settings
    4. We have set an HTTP (external) breakpoint in the ABAP code,
    As mentioned in the article:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/0e9a9d90-0201-0010-478e-991dbea73a30
However, we recieve a dump in the R3 system:
    RFC_DEBUGGING_NO_DIALOG_USER
    ShrtText
RFC debugging is only possible with dialog user
    What happened?
You attempted to debug a program by RFC. However, in this destination
there is a user whose user type permits communication without dialog.
This means, for example, that debugging with a system user is not
    possible.
    What can you do?
Restart the program and take note of the following:
You can do one of the following:
    1. You can change the user listed in the RFC destination and enter a
    dialog user.
    2. In the target system of RFC you can change the user type of the user
listed in the RFC destination to 'dialog'.
    3. You can avoid this runtime error by omitting the RFC debugging.
If in the ABAP debugger the statement cursor points to the statement
(CALL FUNCTION ... DESTINATION), you must choose the function
    'Execute'.
We checked and the user we use is defined as dialog in SU01 and the user that the webdynpro use to call the functio is the same user as was logged in.
    What else should we do?
    Thanks,
    Eyal

    Hello Eyal,
    You mentioned the following..
    1. Defined a JCO connection with "Single Server Connection" as the Destination Type. 2. We have loged on to the relevant system and client using SAP GUI with the same user that run the webdynpro application.*<---The system that you logged into is your source system*
    3. We have activate the external debugging in se80 Utilities -> Settings
    4. We have set an HTTP (external) breakpoint in the ABAP code,
and the name of the system defined in the RFC connection will be your target system.
As per the response (dump error message) in this target system you need to have a dialog user.
And this dialog user needs to be defined in the RFC destination that is being used to connect to the target system.
