Media Corrupted Exception On MediaPlayer Restart

I have created a simple application to test out JavaFX. Withing that Proof-Of-Concept application, I load both sound and video into separate instances of a MediaPlayer. While running the application from the IDE, I can stop and start both the sound and video players with no problems. However, when I run it from my local IIS rendering it within Firefox, the first run works. I can .play() and then .stop() the players. When I attempt to .start() the players again, I receive a media corrupted exception and the player state remains in the "STOPPED" state. I have also attempted to "rewind" the media by doing a .seek() to the beginning of the media using its start time (Duration).
If needed, I can post code snippetts; however, I was hoping to get a call on "best practices" for stopping and starting the MediaPlayer. Do you need to implement a state machine to watch the state of the player to ensure it is in the proper state before sending a .play() or .stop()?

I did create a transparent flv which worked in the past (unfortunately I don't have the original flv and I don't have the files or toolchain to generate a new one).
I think the transparent flv was larger than 512pixels (but can't remember for sure).
There is a transparent flv sample included with the Ensemble sample application, you could use some media diagnosis tools to compare how your media is encoded with the media from Ensemble and see if there are any major differences which might cause an error.
The fact that it works for a size < 512 pixels would seem to indicate a limitation of the JavaFX media system for your runtime environment.

Media corruption found: Needs workaround

I find a data block corruption on one of the table(INDEX) :CDM.FACT_CLAIM_REINSURANCE
I tried to use DBMS_REPAIR to attempt a repair of the corrupted block, however it shows result as o: implies no corruption
Then I tried with DBVERIFY: It shows some block corruption ..seems to be media.

Page 313303 is influx - most likely media corrupt

As the dbv output shows, there are no failed data but still corruption exists, implying a media corruption.
My question is:
Is there any work-around for the issue of media corruption, keeping in mind that the database is in noarchivelog mode and any operation using RMAN will not be possible.

The log clearly says, the object is of type INDEX. Can you please have a look on log file and the info regarding this extracted from database.
Will Index rebuilding resolve the issue?

Stream Corrupted exception BLOB + Oci driver

I have used blob which is java object and using Weblogic oci driver. So far things
are fine. I'm able to inser ,update etc.
If i change my database charset to UTF8 i get stream corrupted Exception. I'm
using weblogic 6 and is using its connection pool. i have added connection pool
settings to config.xml.
If instead of connection pool i explicitly load driver and while connecting i
add this to properties object
props.put("weblogic.oci.min_bind_size", "660");
props.put("weblogic.codeset","UTF8");
This works fine.
Now my problem is how do i set this above mentioned properties to config.xml.
any help will be appreciated.

i am in middle of DR exercise with RMAN and testing different recovery scenarios, I tried vi the dbfile add 0 , but had to do dbfile recovery....

How can I solve the error "media corruption error"?

I have asynchronous errors in Media and MediaPlayer objects: [com.sun.media.jfxmediaimpl.NativeMediaPlayer@1b0a038] "Error: medio corrupto": "Error: medio corrupto".
When the program runs in NetBeans the error doesn´t appear "quickly". When the program runs in command line, the error appears the first time I change the video.
I have this problem since I started my application in JavaFx 2.0 in october, first I thought that I was doing wrong, then I wait for 2.0.2 realease but today I tested my program with the new release and I had the same result.
Is it a bug? Can be a problem of the video? Can be a problem of my video card?
I test my program in 5 computers and I have the same error.
I think that is very strange that there are videos that always fail and there are videos that never fail.
Perhaps is the content of the video? Perhaps is the way that the video was created? All my videos are created by a graphic designer with 3D Studio.

Noelia, i have the same problem, did you solved it ?I had the same issue as Noelia when I investigated Noelia's issue originally (see the TwoVideos sample application in this thread: Re: How can I play different videos with only one MediaPlayer?
I tried running the TwoVideos sample application today on Windows XPsp3, JavaFX 2.1b17, JDK7u4ea and I was unable to reproduce the problem, so it is likely fixed either 2.1 or (less likely I believe) a Windows 7 only related issue.

Corrupt files - tracks keep restarting in itunes?

I've been searching high and low for the cause or solution to this problem with no luck so maybe someone could help me out.
A while ago I important my entire MP3 collection into iTunes en mass. I told iTunes to copy files to the media folder and order them.
After a while I realised many albums within my collection had developed a reoccuring problem:
The track will start and play around 5-10 seconds and then it restarts again.
On closer inspection it appears that the actual file itself has been corrupted - an extra 5-10 second copy of the intro of a track is tagged onto the start.
I am trying to work out a correlation between all the albums that have become corrupt and the only thing I can think of is they may have all been wma files before imported to itunes. However after re-ripping a couple of CD's to itunes to replace some of the corrupted files the problem has poped up another couple of times. This only appears to have happened to files where I have added the artwork myself. So I'm thinking something is happening when the files is edited/converted in itunes? Maybe the metadata I don't know.
Any light shed would be much appreciated I havn't found anyone with this problem! Running Windows 7 Pro btw.

H.264 Blu-Ray rendered .m4v files won't playback in any media player except Adobe software

Hello guys and thank you in advance for your help. I am going to pull my hair out!
I had to reinstall Windows 7 and am experiencing an issue that is driving me crazy. All of my 720p H.264 Blu-Ray.m4v files rendered with After Effects will not play in any player I try in Windows. I've tried Windows Media Player, VLC, and Media Player Classic. I've tried with a clean install and no other codecs except those included with Windows 7. I've tried installing additional h.264 codecs. I've tried installing ffdshow and other codecs as well and no matter what I do, the files will not play at all.
The only way I can preview the file it to load it in AE or Encore or something similiar. Unfortunately, this is not the best solution for me. I'd love to be able to preview the files quickly and efficiently through Windows Explorer / Media Player without opening Adobe software. I don't think that's too much to ask.
Another issue is that before I reinstalled Windows that these files played back just fine in Windows Media Player! I don't know why it was working and now it's not on a clean install. All of the hardware is the same. On the original working install, I don't recall installing any additional codec packs or anything. It just worked...
Regular .mp4 H.264 files (not Blu-Ray) play just fine in all players. Something the Blu-Ray spec is doing to the file causes it to not work. And changing the extension to mp4 does nothing.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong! Is it something with the Mainconcept codec? Is it something with my drivers? What am I missing?!?

I installed PowerDVD which came with the Blu-Ray drive, and also a trial of ArcSoft's Blu-Ray player, and neither would play the files.
Any other suggestions? This is killing me. I don't understand why they would play before and not now. The files arne't corrupt. Even new rendered outputs in the same preset won't play. They'll load into Encore just fine though and even are listed as "Don't Transcode", so I know the files themselves are okay.
Could it have anything to do with drivers? I was testing an Nvidia video card with my last build and now I'm just using a Sandy Bridge chip with Intel's on-board video. But I do remember even when I took the Nvidia card out and just ran on-board video the last time, the files still played fine...

Hyper-V 2012 R2 generation 2 VM corrupted system partition after restart

We have a cluster running on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V feature.
One VM that has Windows 2012 R2 Standard OS installed (generation 2) was corrupted via restart.
VM has 3 virtual disks (VHDX) - first for system (dynamic size), second for SQL_data (fixed size) , third for SQL_logs (fixed size)
Yesterday, I restarted VM and VM didn't come up, I got error
- 'Boot Failed. Windows Boot Manager'
- 'Boot Failed. EFI SCSI Device'
Looked all three VHDX we noticed that the first one (system) was corrupted - partition and MBR are gone inside VHDX.
Second and third one are OK, we can mount them and access all data on it.
It looks like on first VHDX (system with SQL 2014 installed) partition was corrupted, so we can't do repair because it's says unknown partition.
There were no updates applied to VM, corrupted partition is 40GB size (dynamical) with 18GB of data used.
This is first generation 2 VM that we have, all others are generation 1 without any problems.
Can anyone please explain us, how can this happened, since we did nothing inside VM, also cluster reports no errors, checking VHDX looks fine, just partition inside got corrupted.
We like to find out what happened, before we deploy more Win2012 R2 VM (gen2) in production envirionment.

I have removed and re-installed iTunes. The music files are still intact but the library gets erased every time I restart the PC.
This means I have re-scan all my music files over and over again.
Also, an inspection of the iTunes directory reveals lots and lots of temp (iT*.tmp) files, all of them are about the same size as the iTunes library database (10mb in my case) so it looks like iTunes is not closing down correctly / writing the temp file back to the iTunes library (iTunes Library.itl)file.
Can anybody help?

I lost my entire video. How can i retirieve it? i went back to my project library and it wasnot there anymore. I saved it in the media browser then when i restarted my computer its all gone. I tried dragging it in dropbox as well but cant find it anymore

I lost my almost complete video in ivideo after restarting my computer. I saved it under media browser and I can no longer find it. When i went back to m yproject, it was no longer there. Is there a wayi can retireve it or this has been an ongoing problem?

Eventually found a answer after browsing bunch of other threads
"To find a Library go to File/Switch to Library and navigate to the appropriate Library. If that does not solve your issue please provide detailed description of your problematic workflow."

Media Upgrade Crashed - Can't Restart

I recently upgrade to FCPX 10.1.1. When I started FCPX I got a message about needing to upgrade my files - I clicked OK and sat back - then FCPX gave an error message part way through the media upgrade - I didn't look too closely at the error - but it stopped the upgrade part way through. It asked if I wanted to move the old files to trash, I said no, and exited FCPX with the intention of starting again - but I don't seem to be able to.
I've got rid of the new library file and put the events and projects folders back where there were, but FCPX just creates a new empty library and doesn't offer to upgrade media.
I've done some digging and found a reference to using Event Manager X (which I have) to organise media into separate libraries - this seemed like a good idea (given that FCPX crashed on upgrading one of my events or projects) - but I had the same problem - I can use EMX to hide all or most of my projects and events, but the new FCPX ignores everything - whether there's anything unhidden or not.
So I see two ways forward:
how can I get FCPX back to it thinking it is running for the first time (to try and get it to pick up my media in the old file structure again)
is there a way of simply importing into a new FCPX library the events and projects folders from the previous version?
Or if those are both daft approaches - any better ideas please?

Our application on the client needs to insert word documents in the form of BLOBS in the ORACLE I LITE database.
I am using the below JDBC driver to store and retrieve the BLOB from the database and i have the ODBC driver for the Oracle LITE installed on the machine.
String jdbcURL = "jdbc:Polite:egcaspacclient";
String uid = "system";
String passwd = "***";
String driver = "oracle.lite.poljdbc.POLJDBCDriver";
But i try to read the BLOB from the database i am getting a streamCorrupted exception while reading the StreamHeader. I am using ObjectInputStream and ObjectOutputStream to store and retrieve the BLOB information.
I infact tried the same code with the ORACLE8i database and it is working.
I read some documentation that Oracle LITE supports storing the BLOBS.
I am wondering if anything wrong with the driver i am using.
Also the datatype in the BLOB column of the database is showing as undefined. But i see some information is stored to that column when i insert the BLOB.
I would appreciate if anybody provide with some clues.
