Menu déroulant texte et image

Bonjour,
Je voulais utiliser un menu déroulant texte et image.
Mais quand je selectionne avec l'éditeur de commande une image, celle ci est la meme quelques soit le choix dans le menu déroulant.
Hors je voulais faire apparaitre dans mon menu déroulant, un icone différent pour chaque choix.

Merci d'avoir posté sur le forum NI.
Si j'ai bien compris votre problème, vous souhaitez juste associer des images à des textes dans un menu déroulant texte/image.
Pour cela, vous pouvez placer votre commande sur votre face-avant. Ceci permet de créer la première "case" de votre menu.
Faite un click droit sur votre commande et ouvrez le menu "Editer les éléments". Dans la fenêtre qui s'ouvre, replissez les champs avec les textes que vous souhaitez puis cliquez sur OK.
Cliquez ensuite sur "Edition >> importer une image dans le presse papier" et aller chercher votre image. Faites ensuite un click droit sur votre commande et faites "importer une image du presse papier".
Pour éditer la seconde image de votre menu, prenez l'outil "doigt" et cliquez sur votre commande afin d'aller à la prochaine case de votre menu.
Celle ci doit contenir le texte que vous avez choisi au début et aucune image. Réitérez alors la procédure faite pour la case précédente (Edition>> importer dans le presse papier puis click droit sur votre commande ...) avec l'image correspondante au texte.
Et ainsi de suite pour le reste de votre menu.

Menu déroulant d'image

J'ai créer un Indicateur personnalisé (.ctl) dans le fichier zip ci-joint. mais quand je lance le vi essais get ref j'obtiens une erreur dans le vi de lecture d'étiquettes des différents menu déroulant qui composent mon .ctl (erreur 1054)
Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée du prôblème?

Il est vrai que j'ai posé ma question en français sur un forum Anglais, mais je m"en suis aperçu trop tard, c'était parti!
Depuis j'ai trouvé la réponse à mon problème. en fait la classe 34 défini aussi bien les rings det type chaîne que les rings de type image!
Mais la ou y a le bug, c'est que certaines propritées ne sont pas utilisable avec un ring image et génère une erreur, c'est ce qui se passe dans mon vi!
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi ne pas avoir fait deux classes distincts, vu que certaines propritées ne sont pas valide avec un ring image. Il y a bien plusieurs classes pour les numériques?
I did à mistake when I wrote this message, So I give à short answer about this resolved prôblem. In fact 34 classes is used for string ring and picture ring, but both objects have not all the same properties. With picture ring some properties give an error. That what happen in my Vi.
I don't understand we haven't to différent classes when some properties are différent? When we used différent numériques objects we have different classes!

Saving text and image

I have an application where I need to save both text and image.
this is controlled by the menu
when I press save I want to be able to save either a text file or an image file.
How can I do this.
below is a sample of what I have been trying

For savetext, you could use simple PrintWriter.

Can't copy text or images from webpages and paste into word documents or notepad

Today suddenly I cannot copy text or images from webpages (I tried many different ones) and paste into my word 2010 document or notepad. What can I do to get this ability back. Yesterday it worked fine. It does not appear to be a problem with word or notepad so I have to assume it is a problem with Firefox

Texts and Images are displayed being around bracket

Texts and Images are always displayed being around bracket not depending on any web page.
Menu Characters on menu bar are also being abound bracket.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Menu déroulant à arborescence

Bonjour,
Je cherche à réaliser un menu déroulant à arborescence comme celui utilisé sur windows:
J'ai déjà lu pas mal de posts au sujet des menus, mais je n'ai trouvé que des explications sur les menus locaux (pour lesquels il faut faire un clic droit pour ensuite sélectionner les menus).
Je souhaiterais que les menus se déroulent lorsque je passe ma souris dessus.
Dans le cas où ce type de menu ne serait pas réalisable sous LV (ce que j'ai cru comprendre) j'ai commencé à faire un menu de ce type (en rouge):
Grâce à ce menu, je peux sélectionner différentes commandes. Mais j'aimerais faire en sorte que selon la sélection faite sur "commandes", le choix sur "commandes2" change.
Je cherche donc un moyen d'initialiser la variable "commandes2" différemment selon la valeur choisie sur "commandes". J'ai pensé à une boucle condition dont les conditions seraient validées par la valeur choisie sur "commandes", mais je n'ai pas réussi...
Merci de me conseiller sur la démarche à suivre pour arriver à faire un menu pratique à utiliser.

Transform Text to Image?

I'm asking this question also on the Acrobat forum.
I'm submitting a pdf to a vendor (bookbaby) to be converted to epub.
Previous submissions mangled captions on photos, separating them from photos, mixing them up with text.
I've been informed that if I include the captions as PART of the photos, they won't be searchable, but they WILL then remain fixed with the photos (plus changing fonts, font sizes, won't affect them).
How can I turn the caption text into image so that it won't be confused with regular text?
Can I do it in Adobe Acrobat, or must I do it in Indesign before I export it to Acrobat?
Thanks for any help (and don't ask why I don't try to do an epub myself. I've tried. It's a can of worms with all 87 images I've got.)

You can maybe try Create Outlines feature in InDesign. What this feature does is convert the text to vector outlines.
Select the frame containing the caption and chose the menu Type > Create Outlines

Fade text or images on-scroll

Hi, anyone know how text and image opacity can be made to fade in/out on-scroll with muse?
Like the web-text and image-icon in the logo at the top of this site: http://www.billykick.com
The top logo fades away over a non-fading starry sky BG when the page is scrolled down...
it fades both: live web-text and an image component and the fade can be scrolled (back and forward) smoothly,
so I don't think it'an animate (oam) file or anything like that.
My best guess is some kind of inserted jquery fade on scroll effect possibly...
but I'd be happy to hear if there's a way to do this directly in Muse.

Hi Brad, thank you for taking the time to reply to my question.
I don't think it's a black to transparent gradient slide because the stars in the BG remain fixed in position (pinned) and they maintain constant opacity (under the moving logo) while scrolling. If the logo was to slide in under a transparent to black gradient, the BG stars would fade along with the logo to black.
I know it's a fairly dark BG and the stars are small, but they remain visible and fixed in position (pinned). The logo scrolls on-screen/off-screen over the pinned BG, and fades in/out on top of the (non-fading) BG in relation to the page scroll position.
The stars can be seen moving through the semi-transparent logo as the logo scrolls up/down and transitions from full opacity to zero opacity. So I think it's definitely a fade controlled/animated by relation to page scroll postion.
This is one possible solution I'm gonna try to implement later tonight:

Probably just need to remove the anchor tag cos I don't need the element to trigger anything, but it might be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll update this thread if I get it worked out.

Menu déroulant variable globale

Bonjour,
je souhaite passer un menu déroulant en variable globale. Le problème, c'est que je souhaite récupérer dans un sous-VI les données mais aussi le nom des éléments de mon menu déroulant qui se trouve en face-avant de mon VI principal. Les valeurs passent mais pas les textes qui y sont associés. Quand je fais un noeud de propriété de ma variable globale dans le VI
principal, on ne me propose pas "chaines et valeurs" ou le texte. Pourquoi? J'ai essayé aussi avec des CtlRefNum mais pareil, seules les valeurs passent.

Help Me Understand: Readabilty of Text in Images

I make a webcomic (CarpeChaos.com for examples), so I produce a lot of images with a fairly extensive amount of text in them. I want to make sure the fonts in those images are as readable as possible. My experience on this topic is just someone who has read a lot about it online, I'm not professionally trained, so some of my assumptions may be flawed, please point them out. I'm using CS2, but my copy of CS5 is in the mail.
Photoshop is the core of our workflow and our PSDs are set up as several layers of image data and several layers of text. We don't rasterize the text at any point. The text is almost exclusively high contrast grayscale (aka black text on white backgrounds). Each PSD is 2880x3240, but we publish at 960x1080 AND 640x720.
What I know about font rendering tells me that fonts are rendered differently at different sizes, and that scaling rasterized text in images smears them into horrible messes.
With that in mind, I've been a bit of a fascist when it comes to our image mastering process. I never flatten text layers, nor rasterize the text in any other way. My assumption is that Save For Web... in Photoshop does the smart thing by resizing first, then rasterizing the text. Therefore, I use the "Image Size" tab in Save For Web dialog to produce the right sized images. Our jpeg compression is usually between 67% and 87%, although on rare occasion it can go as high as 100%. This produces rather crisp text with about as good of readability as I can hope for in a jpeg.
Unfortunately, this process takes a fair amount of time, and I'd love to dump all our PSDs into a script that generates the jpegs automatically. I've been playing around with File-->Scripts-->Image Processor but haven't yet gotten results that match doing it by hand. And frankly, from the dialogs, I don't trust that it respects my vector fonts as much as I do.
I'm not opposed to switching image formats to png or something else, it just needs to be web friendly.
So I have two questions for the wisdom of this forum:
1) Do you know any way that I can improve readability over what I'm currently doing?
2) How can I get the same results with less work? Is there a way I can get optimal results from an image processor script?

I often use layer styles to make text more readable. Drop shadow and outer glow are often very useful for this, and they don't have to be turned all the way up to greatly increase readability.
For example, for the back jacket of a book, I was putting some light text on a mostly dark background consisting of an image with a lot of stars in it. The letters occasionally overlaid or nearly overlaid stars, and this became kind of distracting. Some drop shadow isolated the text and kept the appearance of the star field intact.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Pop up menu on right clicking an image?

Hello,
I am new to LabWindows/CVI.
Requirement: "To get a pop-up menu on right clicking on image"
Right now, I display my images in window numbers (0 - 15). Is it possible to be able to get a pop-up menu on right clicking an image window. If yes, how? If not, could you please suggest other methods to achieve this task? Should I display the image in a separate parent panel for example? How could I do this?
Any help would be great.

I would use the code generator for right click event. then fill it up with whatever code you want under right click case. You can access these when you double click your UIR file, then on the top of the page click Code\Preferences\Default... then choose desired events for picture then go to Code\Generate\all callbacks and skip through the ones you don't want to be replaced.

Conditional Text and Image based on Excel column values

I have an excel file which contains data that needs to be imported/merged in an InDesign document. I have converted that file into a CSV... I'm unable to figure out how to create document using Data Merge after evaluating some conditions on data ... Example InDesing document layout is like below and will be repeated for say 200 data rows...
Heading 1
Text 1, Text 2
Text 3
Image
Heading 1, Text 1 and Text 2 even Image value will be set after checking some condition like below

Set 'Heading 1' == column X
if ( column 'C' == '0' && file.exist(column C & '.jpg'))
Set 'Image' == column C & '.jpg'
Can someone please guide me how to create document when CSV and Images are given based on this scenario? and even if Data Merge is the right solution for this.

Data merge can only reproduce one layout, so you can't merge 200 rows and then change things unless you do it in separate documents and then combine them. Of course anything you can do via scripting or manually on a regular document you can also do to a merged document after the merge is complete.
It sounds like this is a multiple-records-per-page scenario. TO do that you set up ONE instance only of what you want to merge, in the upper left position on the page. ID then duplicates EVERYTHING that is on the page as many times as will fit using the spacing parameters you provide. This means you need to be careful with frame sizes so they don't extend beyond where they should, but it also means you can add a no-fill, no-stroke frame as a border or bounding box to make it easier to get a precise size to be used by each record. Frames in merged documents are not threaded from record to record (though there are methods for doing that after the merge, if desired), so deleting a record normally leaves a hole in the page.
If you have master page items, it's probably best to us the "none" master before the merge, then apply the correct master page after.

When i use firefox 7 and click on the bookmark menu, it leaves an annoying image of the bookmark window on my desktop that I can't get rid of.

When I click bookmarks in the Menu Bar, it leaves an image or "print" of the bookmark window on my desktop. It does not go away after exiting Firefox. The only way I can remove this image from my desktop is to restart my computer. It is becoming a bit annoying. I should mention that this problem does not occur when using the bookmarks icon in the Navigation Bar which I never use because I prefer the other. This has been happening in Firefox 4 to 7, but never in earlier versions.

There is probably a glitch in Firefox's graphics hardware acceleration feature, which was introduced in Firefox 4. To turn that feature off:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the General mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This change should take effect after you restart Firefox.
If you miss (or think you will miss) the hardware acceleration feature, you could try updating the drivers for your graphics card to see whether that solves the glitch.

The latest Firefox version won't expand to make text and images more visible on my 32" screen, although I have tried to adjust the advanced Windows appearance settings in the same way that has worked in previous versions of Firefox.

Normally I have had to go to Control Panel; Appearances and Themes; Display; Settings; Advanced; Custom; and then I adjust the Customize Setting to 155% (149 dpi). I have hit on this setting through trial and error; larger and icons like the cursor get big and fuzzy. Smaller than 155% and text and images are tiny on the 32" wide screen. This time that procedure doesn't seem to work. The text and images remain too small regardless of setting, although the cursor icon gets big. I can manually zoom the pages, but that is clumsy and has to be redone. Does anyone know of an easy setting fix? I am not too smart about this stuff--mostly trial and error, but I do want to be able to enjoy my wide screen. Thanks!
