Merging Parties with Extensible Attributes

Hi,
I am using a number of extensible attributes in the Data Hub and would like to merge two companies (with multiple Party Sites which have extensible attributes).
Now when I run the simple Merge the extensible attributes are not carried over to the new sites under the merged company.
How do I get these attributes to appear in the merged company's Party Site?
Thanks!

See if you can make use of Merge Dictionary for the same.

I am filtering list view web part as same as the below post,
    http://dcsharepointchick.blogspot.in/2013/05/filter-sharepoint-list-with-partial-postback.html
here I need to filter the web part with some another condition . I am trying to write another condition in filter attribute of _doPostback(), but it doesn't work.
Please let me know is there any alternative to achieve compound filtering.
    Regards,

    Hi Balakrishna,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to filter the list view web part with more than one filters.
I recommend to use the OOB Choice Filter web part to achieve this goal.
Edit the page where the list view web part exists and then add the Choice Filter web parts to the page based on your need.

Or you use the List Filter Plus Web Part to get the function.

I have a photo of an ice surface and another of a flower. Now I want to create a merged photo with the flower lying under the ice. I understand that I shall use the function "Layer" and have even read in the manual and looked on a video, but that information is not sufficiently detailed for me. I have tried several options, but I come now way. Generally it seems that your information is only for the ones who can, not for the people who can´t although it is we who really need to learn. Please give me a step by step (click by click) information on how I can get the ice above the flower and then make the ice partly transparent so the flower is seen underneath. Please send me an e-mail Erik Solbu [email protected]

Open a new document big enough for your image. Then additional open your ice and flower image as well. Copy each and paste it into your blank document. They will be placed on their own separate layers.
Make sure in your layers panel. (Bottom right) the ice is above the flower, by dragging it in place. In that same layers panel click the ice layer to select in and find the opacity meter above. Drag to the left until you get the effect you desire.

  • Is there support in certmap.conf for using DN's with dc= attributes

    Hi Folks-
    The Question:
Is there any support on certmap.conf (or the like) for dealing with suffixes that use the "dc=example,dc=com" format (in either 5.2 or 6.0)?
    The Details/Background:
Like many places our suffixes are named ending with "dc" attributes (e.g. dc=example,dc=com). I've been setting up SSL Client Certificate based authentication. It's working via the CmapLdapAttr with a custom attribute/class added to the schema (I haven't finished with VerifyCert yet).
The docs say that DNComps and FilterComps support the following RDN keywords: cn, ou, o, c, l, st, e, and mail. Notably missing from both is "dc". This seems to leave no valid value for DNComps (forcing all the searches to be across ALL suffixes including cn=config and co). With those global searches FilterComps also seems to be fairly limited (especially if uid is not part of the Certificate's Subject DN which it arguably shouldn't be in many situations).
It seems all I'm left with is CmapLdapAttr (after creating the custom attribute & class) with every search across all suffixes. I don't think I can (or should) place indexes in the stuff in dse.ldif, hopefully they won't stop the other suffixes to be searched using their indexes and these should be small enough (and hopefully in memory) that they don't make a real difference.
    Thanks,
    -Scott-

Ok, so as far as I can tell that just leaves using "CmapLdapAttr" with a custom attribute (& class) extension to the schema.
Since I won't be able to restrict the suffix being searched it's going to do at least 6 separate scans: one each on userRoot (and any other user suffixes), NetscapeRoot, "", cn=schema, cn=config, and cn=monitor (based on what it's reported in the logs already).
    (1) Am I correct in my assumption that creating indexes on attributes in the suffixes in dse.ldif is probably not possible and would be a bad idea?
My guess is that everything in dse.ldif gets loaded into memory on startup and stays there. Also these aren't that big so the combination should mean that their search time is negligible.
    (2) When automatically searching all 6+ suffixes (on every client certificate authenticated connection) will it perform indexed searches on userRoot & NetscapeRoot (assuming the correct indexes exist for CmapLdapAttr) and unindexed searches for the suffixes in dse.ldif? Or will the lack of indexes in the dse.ldif suffixes cause all of the searches to be unindexed?
    (3) Is there something I'm missing that would be a better approach?
    Thanks,

  • O2A - Sending extensible attributes from OSM COM to OSM SOM

I have a role of Oracle Senior OSM Consultant in an important RODOD implementation going on in a tier 1 client and I would like to understand one of the use cases implemented in the O2A cartridges, regarding the communication of extensible attributes between OSM COM and SOM.
The scenario that we have is the following one:
    1. During the fulfillment of our COM order, some information is added to our order lines as extensible attributes under the WorkLineItemData structure.
    2. When the services are ready to be provisioned, we send the order lines to SOM using the ProvisionOrderFunction order component with no customization.
    3. In SOM, we see that the order lines include only the extensible attributes already available in the Siebel order. All the information added to the line items during OSM COM fulfillment is not sent from COM to SOM.
Before going under customization, I would like to understand if there is any reason (a use case) for O2A not to send the information added to the line items during OSM COM fulfillment (extensible attributes under WorkLineItemData) to SOM.
Technical note: I've checked the O2A 7.0.3 implemented code and it seems that both Siebel line item and control data order item (with the updated WorkLineItemData) are available in the function that constructs the EBM sent to SOM, but only Siebel line item is used (provisionorderfn:createDoProvisionOrderLineItem in ProvisionOrderInteractionModule.xquery).

    Hi,
    I also have same question.
If order data get enriched before provision order function then where should I update it, under base line or work line structure?
Ideally it should be under work line structure but if I do so then provision order function will not send my updated data to provisioning.

  • Problem with rerendering h:panelGrid with rendered attribute

    Hi,
I am new to jsf and trying to learn its features as I find it easy and fast for development purpose.I have been developing with jsf for past few weeks and got myself stuck with a problem, tired of which I had to take the forum's help :). My problem is that I need to show/hide h:panelGrid using any of the options below:
I tried putting the grid in the div and show/hide that div using javascript..works fine but the problem with this is, even when the div is hidden the components (h:inputText ) within the grid are submitted with the form, which should not be the case since its hidden (as with normal jsps).
I worked around with rendered attribute of the grid, and show/hide this grid using the backing bean method which is actually a valueChangeListener of h:selectOneMenu and set the boolean for the rendered to true/false as required, the grid is hide/shown correctly, but this isn't giving me any solution because when I submit the form with this grid shown on the view, its components values are still not submitted :( I dont know whats the reason behind this or what clue am I missing here. I dont know why when the grid is shown correclty, its components values are not submitted.. hence not validated too..
Any help will be highly appreciable.
    Regards

No, in "normal jsps" you'll get the same thing - even though you
visibly hide a component, it is still there and thus will still be part
of a form submit. If you don't want form fields to submit, you'll have
to make sure they are physically not there, or the fields are disabled.Well thanks alot for correcting me on this mate.
Don't know either, it should work if you did everything correctly. Are
you sure the databinding (to a JSF backing bean field) of the grid is
correct? When you create a similar setup but without any of the
show/hide logic, does it work then?I guess I have done it correctly but let me tell you, I have no direct binding to the grid itself, instead I have h:inputText fields in the grid that are bound to the backing bean's properties, which I need to submit and validate too. e.g{color:#800000}<h:panelGrid id="myPanel" columns="3" rendered="Bean.renderStatus">
    <h:outputText value="variable"/>
    <h:inputText id="v" value="Bean.property" required="true">
    <a4j:support ......... />
    </h:inputText>
    </h:panelGrid>{color}
    {color:#800000}<rich:message for="v"/>{color}
Here I am able to hide and show the grid but I am unable to submit the field in any case whether its hidden or shown :( At first the grid is hidden and then on the valueChangeListener of h:selectOneMenu rendered value is set to either true or false.( renderStatus is set in the value change listener ).
And yeah without this logic of hide/show its working fine with me. Any guess or idea what am I doing wrong here.
Thanks for your time by the way.

Client is reading the Oracle Teleservice Implementation & User Guide Ver 12.1 Page 43-6 Para 7 - "You can use the same extensible attribute architecture to capture additional information for database objects other than service requests"). Client wants to know exactly what is extensible attribute architecture?
Is this the same as setting up descriptive flexfields? If no, what is extensible attribute architecture and how does client set this up?
Here is the comment from client:
Like in Oracle Forms, we have DFFs to add additional attributes to a standard Form, simialarly for OA Framework pages, Oracle provides (via a new architecture) an unlimited number of attributes that can be added to that OA Framework pages. These attributes are called Extensible Attributes. e.g. You can add extensible attributes in the TeleService module to entities like Service Request, Customer and Associated Party. Oracle claims that the same new architecture can be used to extend any database object.
Client wants to use these Extensible Attributes in Oracle Loans module. I posted this to the Loans forum and development suggested I post to Telesales forum as they are not aware of extensible attribute architecture.
    Thank you,
    Cindy

    Hi Cindy,
Extensibility framework and features comes from Oracle Product Lifecycle Management (EGO), it is not a functionality created by Teleservice. Teleservice only uses the extensibility framework. There are other EBS modules that use extensibility framework like, for example, TCA or OCO.
Extensible Attributes are similar to DFF's in the sense that Extensible Attributes feature provides out-of-the box capability to store additional information associated with certain EBS modules entities.
The functionality allows you to view and maintain these additional attributes without having to create custom screens. It also allow you to group related attributes and display attributes on specific UI pages.
    Some of the features are:
Limited to certain EBS modules entities.
Attributes can be displayed as text, check box or radio group.
Database view is created for each attribute group.
Uses Value Set for attribute validation.
Extensible Attributes store unlimited number of repeating attributes (multiple rows of similar data), unlike Descriptive Flexfields.
    etc.
    Components of an extension:
    Attribute Group
    Attributes
    Associations
    Pages
    Functions
    Actions
Value Sets (Recommend creating before attribute groups)
Extensible entities have corresponding tables to store additional attributes.
For example, in the case of Teleservice some of the tables are CS_INCIDENTS_EXT_B, CS_INCIDENTS_EXT_AUDIT, etc.
For TCA you have HZ_PARTY_SITES_EXT_B, HZ_LOCATIONS_EXT_B, etc.
If customer wants to use Extensible Attributes in Oracle Loans then you need to check with Loans Development to see if they implemented or not Extensibility framework.
    Thanks,
    Walter

  • OSM O2A - Using extensible attributes in rules

In our RODOD implementation using OSM 7.0.3, we are using the concept of "extensible attributes" intensively.
The concept is great: lots of data coming from Siebel or gathered during the fulfillment process is stored in my order lines' "extensible attributes", almost OOTB, without no need for further customization.
The problem comes when we want to use these extensible attributes in conditions for data jeopardies, change notifications, process branching, etc. All these conditions are configured as "Order Rules", which are based on simple dictionary elements, and which cannot refer to my "extensible attributes" using complex XPath like the following one:
    +BaseLineItemData/ItemReference/SpecificationGroup[Name="ExtensibleAttributes"]/Specification[Name="Call Waiting"]+
My question is: Is there any way to use complex XPath in "Order Rules" so I can refer directly my "extensible attributes"?
Right now, we are using lots of workarounds to copy the "extensible attributes" in simple order elements, so they can be referred directly from the "order rules". This approach works in a sunny day scenario, but it will bring problems with revisions that are changing the "extensible attributes" but not the simple order elements.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Viktor,
Right now we'll try to use a workaround that doesn't go through low level customization.
The point is that we can do this because our rule is associated to a Jeopardy event. Basically, we'll let the Jeopardy be always triggered and leave the complexity of checking the extensible attributes to the jeopardy's automation.
Unfortunately, this solution only works for rules associated to events triggering any automation. In other cases, your solution should be considered, even if it's not configurable from the design studio.

How can I merge folder with the same name so that the content does not replace the other?

    >
That's only a good idea if the semantics of sayHello
as defined in MyInterface suggest that a
RemoteException could occur. If not, then you're
designing the interface to suit the way the
implementing classes will be written, which smells.
:-)But in practice you can't make a call which can be handled either remotely or locally without, at some point, dealing with the RemoteException.
Therefore either RemoteException must be part of the interface or (an this is probably more satisfactory) you don't use the remote interface directly, but MyInterface is implemented by a wrapper class which deals with the exception.

  • Hate to part with my T41 but.....

Microsoft XP support ending April 2014 and my 23739FU T41 won't run Windows 7 or 8 and I don't like Vista so I am forced to replace my bullet-proof T41.  I don't know how to keep it and make upgrades to update O.S..  Don't know which Thinkpad to buy so starting with basic QUESTION: Has Lenovo kept the solid look and feel of the T41 keyboard?  The key relief and rock solid feel of the T41 keyboard is a favorite attribute of the model.  I don't like the "mushy" and flat feel on keyboards of some other makes like Dell.  Can anyone here tell me if and how the keyboards on newer Thinkpads compare with my 2004 vintage T41 23739FU?

I wouldn't part.  The new computers are not being made as well as these old puppies.  Why  can't the T41 run Windows 7?  Seems it should be able to.   I am using two T30 laptops as my baseline.  One of them has 1.320 Terrabytes with an ultrabay SATA drive.  You can't do anything like this with the new laptops.
Also these old laptops can be opened and maintained, not like the sealed new ones.  Other than processor speed I don't see any reason to part.
Instead buy another T41 and have two duplicate machines in case one goes down.  The other thing is all your S/W apps can be preserved.
    A couple of things here...
    a) No one should part with a working ThinkPad BUT they should also be fully aware of the platform's limitations. Using a decade old T41 as one's main computer in 2014 is likely to cause headache.
These units will run both Vista and W7. The problem is that for any remotely serious application apart from being a glorified typewriter the lack of proper graphics driver will be more than noticeable.
    b) T30 was the last ThinkPad that felt it could survive a nuclear blast. However, in real life terms it's even more outdated than T41.
I personally own several "outdated" units such as X24, A31p and T42p. While all of them are still perfectly functional and kept in good physical and running condition none is used as a main computer...
    c) Newer machines such as T420/520 and W520 can actually utilise 3 drives at the same time - mSATA SSD in the appropriate slot, one drive in the main bay and one in the ultrabay so they can do better than the old ones in the respect of storage.
    d) I can't say much about *30 and *40 generation since I've never had any of them - and have no intentions of ever owning one - but the *20 and previous series are easy to work on and not sealed in at all.
My advice to OP still stands - look into T61 series, preferably a 14" SXGA+ unit with Intel graphics - and you'll feel almost at home. Let the T41 enjoy its well-earned retirement. Nothing is stopping you from utilising it casually.
Happy ThinkPadding and good luck to all.

Odd, have you disabled caching and indirection? (NoIdentityMap, dontUseIndirection, or alwaysRefresh/disableCacheHits). If so, then this could be the issue.
Otherwise please include the sample code you use to perform this, and verify that you do not have any unusual code in your set/get methods or in descriptor events. Also turn TopLink logging on and include a sample. Also ensure that you do not modify your objects until after registering them in the unit of work, and only modify the unit of work clones.
