Message from Page procedure

Hi All,
I am calling multiple procedures on Submit button(Page processing) and on the basis of the data passed to procedures getting error/success messages as out parameter. I need to display these error messages on the page. How could I do this?
Thanks in advance.
Ranjan

Ranjan,
Go to your branch and check

    Are you sure you have the right printer?
    In UNIX/OSX printers are virtual links to devices and even with the same name can be trying to reach a printer via another network address, so it thinks it is another printer.

  • Paging a message from stored procedure

    How can we write a code in pl/sql to send a pager message to a specified pager ?

    If you can send an email to pager then you may use utl_smtp package
    otherwise you have to clarify how technically you can send a message to pager
    Maybe you need some hardware costing 1M $ ;)

    I have recently re-installed i-Work because I was getting a "pages cannot be opened because of a problem" response and I was unable to read any of my documents or open any attachments from my e-mails. After the install, 'pages' still will not open and gives the same response. How do I restore my 'pages' app?

    I've never seen this error but I'd assume that it can be fixed the same way many Mac application errors are: open your Library folder and look inside the Preferences folder for the com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist file and throw it away.

  • Display Message from a procedure

    Hi
    I have a trigger when-button-pressed. It has a prcedure that would be run. The procedure would display a message once it is run. I would like to display the message on a popup window on the form. How can I achieve this

    Hello,
    thaks for the lot of details you give...
    I suppose thart "external" is database ? If yes, you cannot directly display a message to Forms.
    You can manage this only when the control returns back to Forms.

  • Capture error messages from stored procedure calls

    Hi there,
    How do I capture a stored procedure calls error messages provided the stored procedures does not have output parameters? This questions applies to Oracle 7.3.4 stored procedures calls.
    TQ
    Neo

    There are two parts.
    The stored proc must 'throw' an exception.
    And java must catch it.
    You probably already have the java part. That is the catch(SQLException).
    As for the stored proc you can use the following search string in the jdbc forum
    raise oracle
    You need to use 'raise' in the stored proc but I am not sure of the exact form, but one of the threads using the above search string is likely to have it.

  • Invoking BPEL with large request payload from stored procedure

    Hi all,
    I have a stored procedure which invoke BPEL process. It is working fine with small payload (around 3000 characters). But some of the payload are as large as 75 to 100 thousand characters. I used the clob datatype for my soap envelop variable so that it can take more characters. But I am getting error if the payload size is large. Can someone help me figure how I am able to do this. Thanks.

    Hi James,
    Thanks for your response. What I need to do is, if any of the instance is failed in the first invokation, user can manual re-invoke the same process from the dashboard. I tried invoking bpel from ADF 11g and finally found out that it is not supported with SOA 10.1.3.4. (I can't use Data control as the payload is already in the database).
    I am invoking an Asynchronous process. So, it is not the timeout error. The same procedure went fine with the same process if the payload is small. I include one output parameter to send the message from the procedure back to ADF, and what Ifound out was if the payload is big, I got the exception right after "utl_http.write_text(l_http_request, l_soap_envelope);". Any hope that I can still use this without going to ODI?
    Thanks.

  • Error message from database stored procedures

    I would like to have some error message show at client side from stored procedures.
    I use MS SQL Server and use RAISEERROR, but ColdFusion does not bring the error message just ignore the error continue to run the other part of code.
    I just want to know are there any way to bring stroed procedure error message to client, or I have to trap the error at Web Server or JavaScript level.
    Your help and information is great appreciated,
    Regards,
    Iccsi,

    Just wrap your cfstoredproc in a cftry/cfcatch.  See this for an example:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1879754/accessing-raiseerror-message-from-cfstoredproc
    There's no way your javascript can trap this server-side error though, unless you were calling your CFM page that calls the stored proc via an AJAX request.

  • Passing message from plsql code to page

    Hello Everybody,
    I am trying to pass a 'success message' from plsql code which runs on page processing to the page. This plsql is a insert statement and if statement runs successfully (on submit) then I want to show a success message on the page after summit.
    Your comment and help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Raj.

    Thank you Tony.
    Stored Procedure which I am calling on the page is running in database. So if this procedure runs successfully(or vice versa), how I would know?? Is there a way to pass value from database stored procedure to it's calling page?
    Following is procedure:
    procedure load_stateday_result(key_loc ATM_STATE_DAY_INSP.KEY_LOCATION%type) is
    temp_key_insp ATM_INSPECTION.KEY_ATM_INSPECTION%type;
    temp_key_location number(8);
    temp_dte_schedule date;
    begin
    temp_key_location := key_loc;
    select key_atm_inspection,dte_schedule into temp_key_insp, temp_dte_schedule
    from atm_inspection where
    key_location = temp_key_location and exam_type = 'D' and exam_yr = to_char(sysdate,'yyyy');
    insert into atm_state_day_insp(key_atm_state_day_insp,key_location,key_atm_insp,scheduled_dte)
    values(state_day_insp_seq.nextval,key_loc,temp_key_insp,temp_dte_schedule);
    COMMIT;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    dbms_output.put_line('Error :'|| SQLCODE||':'||SQLERRM);
    --ROLLBACK;
    RAISE;
    end load_stateday_result;
    Will appreciate your reply.
    Thanks,

  • I am unable to print PDF's using either Adobe Reader or Safari. In Adobe Reader, I get an error message from my Cannon printer that says, "/usr.libexec/cups/filter/pstocupsraster failed". In Safari, I can only print the first page of a PDF.

    To try to resolve this problem, I have done the following actions.
    1 - I have run Disk Warrior.
    2 - I have repaired permissions.
    3 - I have deleted all plist that are either Cannon or Adobe.
    4 - I have downloaded and installed the lastest versions of Adobe Reader and the Cannon printer drivers.
    I am still unable to print PDF's.
    In Safari, I can print only the first page. In a multipage PDF, Safari only seems to recognize the first page.
    In Adobe Reader, I get an error message from my printer: "/usr/libexec/cups/filter/pstocupsraster failed".
    Any help would be greatly appreicated!

    Quit Safari.
    Open the Library folder in your home folder as follows:
    ☞ If running OS X 10.7 or later, hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar.
    ☞ If running an older version of OS X, select Go ▹ Go to Folder… from the Finder menu bar and copy the line below into the text box that opens:
    ~/Library
    Delete the following items from the Library folder:
    Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
    Preferences/com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist
    Preferences/QuickTime Preferences
    Relaunch Safari and test.
    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
    Select "/var/log/cups/error_log" from the file list. Post the messages from the time of the last printing attempt.
    Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.

  • How can I Fetch the error message from a OAF page

    Hi,
    A confirmation message is coming on the page,I want to catch the error message and depending on its value want to add some validation.
    Is that possible to fetch the error message from the page?

    is it a confirmation message or an error message ?
    Code in the OAF page would be raising an OAException with a message name defined in message dictionary.
    you would need to look at the code to understand where this is thrown from and add your validation there.

  • "Message from Webpage (error) There was an error in the browser while setting properties into the page HTML, possibly due to invalid URLs or other values. Please try again or use different property values."

    I created a site column at the root of my site and I have publishing turned on.  I selected the Hyperlink with formatting and constraints for publishing.
    I went to my subsite and added the column.  The request was to have "Open in new tab" for their hyperlinks.  I was able to get the column to be added and yesterday we added items without a problem.
    The problem arose when, today, a user told me that he could not edit the hyperlink.  He has modify / delete permissions on this list.
    He would edit the item, in a custom list, and click on the address "click to add a new hyperlink" and then he would get the error below after succesfully putting in the Selected URL (http://www.xxxxxx.com), Open
    Link in New Window checkbox, the Display Text, and Tooltip:
    "Message from Webpage  There was an error in the browser while setting properties into the page HTML, possibly due to invalid URLs or other values. Please try again or use different property values."

    and I saw in another post, below with someone who had a similar problem and the IISreset fixed it, as did this problem.  I wonder if this is resolved in the latest updated CU of SharePoint, the April 2014 CU?

    Again, if I update my SharePoint 2010 farm to April 2014 CU is this going to resolve the issue I have?
    I don't mind changing the JS file, however I'd like to know / see if there is anything official regarding this instead of my having to change files.
    Thank you!
    Matt

    We had the same issue after applying the SP2 & August CU. we open the case with MSFT and get the same resolution as you mentioned.
    I blog about this issue and having the office reference.
    Later MSFT release the Hotfix for this on December 10, 2013 which i am 100% positive should be part of future CUs.
    So if you apply the April CU then you will be fine.
    Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog
