Message Mapping - Set

Hi All,
Source structure of my message is :
<recordset>
<Query></Query>----
0 to unbounded
</recordset>
Target Structure :
<SQL>
<key></key>----
0 to unbounded
</SQL>
Now my requirement is such that....if the source message has 3 Query elements then XI should generate key node in target message 3 times but with names key1,key2,key3.
I am not able to set the names of these target nodes at runtime based on the number of query elements in source message.
Can anybody please help me?

your schema already predefine with 'key' as tag name in your target structure,
so you can not do that.
note:
mapping just map data instead of structure.
structure is predefined by you.

    HI,,
    YOu can not change the names of your "Fields".
    Hi,
    If you want to change Value you can do that by writing UDF.
    Enter this code in UDF.
    for(int i=0;i<a.length();i++)
    result.addValue("");

  • Set a variable in Adapter Module and read it during message mapping

    Hi guys,
    is there any way, how I could set some variable and store its value during the adapter module processing and read back this value in message mapping and use it? Without using a database or files.. I mean, some j2ee storage or something like that..
    Thanks for your help,
    Olian

    Hi guys,
    thanks for your answers..  just a clarification, what the problem is.
    I need to validate a message in the adapter module, if it's digital signature is valid. If it is, I need to send back to the sender a return code (message) OK, otherwise ERROR. I can't modify the message (or dynamic configuration) as I'm using a WSS in the sender channel. The system doesn't allow me to change anything in the message, so I can't find out in the mapping what the validation result was. I then tried to do the validation directly in the message mapping, but I have some issues there with libraries or what, because the validation code, which works in the adapter module, doesn't work in the mapping java class. So my final thought was maybe I could validate the message in the adapter module and pass the result to the message mapping and then create an appropriate return message (in the mapping). However, I see no way of passing a value there. I'm stuck and have no Idea how to resolve the problem. Any hints guys?
    Thanks a lot for your help!

  • How to set EXPORT parameter from message mapping

    Again, ask the question of export parameter.
    I wrote a java version transformation and it worked good with export parameter.
    However I can not work it out in graphical message mapping. I refered http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/c3e1fa6c31599ee10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
    In PI7.1, I add an export parameter "EXPORT_PARA" in the "Signature" tab. Are there any special step to assign this parameter to an UDF? I did not find a way to do it.
    And then I define an UDF,
    public String SetExportPara(String sss, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
    String str = "GOOD";
    GlobalContainer gc = container.getGlobalContainer();
    OutputParameters paras= gc.getOutputParameters();
    if(paras.exists("EXPORT_PARA ") == true) {
    paras.setString("EXPORT_PARA ", str);
    }else {
    str = "NOT FOUND EXPORT_PARA";
    return str;
    And I assign this UDF to one element of my output XML, I tried to run it in IE, it always output "NOT FOUND EXPORT_PARA.
    why?????
    I know there is a blog : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/8654. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    But it did not talk how to set export parameters.

    Hi,
    i read thread
    How to export parameters from Message Mapping
    and blog
    /people/jin.shin/blog/2008/02/14/sap-pi-71-mapping-enhancements-series-parameterized-message-mappings
    but not found issue

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/c3e1fa6c31599ee10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
    if i writting this code in UDF, i getting an error.
    If use this code:
    GlobalContainer gc = container.getGlobalContainer();
    OutputParameters paras= gc.getOutputParameters();
    paras.setString("EXPORT_PARA ", str);
    the export parameter is defined locally (in transformation step area). In integration process area parameter is equal to NULL.
    How send export parameter to Integration Process? For exapmple, i wanna send parameter to other transformation step in my integration process.
    thx.

  • Error while opening Message Mapping

    Hi All,
    I have one MM in ESR, IDoc to EDI, it has been developed before, and the interface is working successfully.But when I open this MM in ESR, it given a STOP error with desc as 'For input string: ""'.
    and then there is nothing displayed on Screen under Definition,Test and Functions tab of MM.The Signature tab content is visible properly.
    I am working on PI 7.1.
    Is this issue is because of version comapatibilty or missing object. Please provide your inputs to resolve this issue,
    Thanks,
    Ruchi

    Hi All,
    I have checked with my basis team, but they suggested that the patches can not be installed as this problem is happening with single message mapping.
    When I open this MM, it gives the same STOP error :For input string: "". and when I click on Message Mapping -> Check button, it prompts a message 'Parameter #ParamName# has the invalid value null'.
    Please help me to resolve this.As the mapping itself is not getting loaded, so not getting how to set this parameter value(if it is used in MM).

    How can i get "ex" value and pass for one message mapping ?
    In MM how can i get text values from excpetion ocurred in ccBPM ?

    Thanks Amith and Ameer for your answers.
    The exact reason was because I did not used recordset in my datatype creation.
    But I did not set ignoreRecordsetName to true
    For who get similar problem please see below details and link
    A <Recordset> element is inserted in the XML structure for each recordset structure. This level is not always required, particularly if the recordset only contains one structure definition.
    If you set the parameter to true, the <Recordset> element is not inserted.

  • Request Message mapping in SXMB_MONI for File - RFC - File without BPM

    Hi ,
    In my File-RFC-File scenario, the messages are processed successfully.
    but when i look into the SXMB_MONI for File to RFC step, the records are present only till the  Message split According to Receiver List and not able to see the records from Request Message mapping step onwards.it contains
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
      <ns1:Z_PI_LOTUSNOTES_UNIFORM xmlns:ns1="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions" />
    in my mapping for the receiver RFC i have not done the mapping for all the fields. few fields i have disabled. whether this could create a problem in message mapping. pls let me know what needs to be done.

    Is it only for this scenario that the above display issue is occuring or is it for all scenarios?
    If onlt a particular Pipeline steps are displayed then you can check what is the TRACE level set in SXMB_ADM --> Integration Engine Configuration --> and check if the TRACE parameter is set to at least 2 (max is 3 which will ensure that your DB will get full quickly)

  • Send Alerts(e-mail) for errors in SXMB_MONI(message mapping exceptions)

    Good afternoon !
            I´m configuring SAP Netweaver PI 7.0(SP13) to use Alert Framework to send Alerts when errors occurs in the interfaces processing.
            I just achieved configure to send alerts when errors ocurrs in the Adapter Framework but, I can´t configure correctly to send alerts when errors ocurred only in SXMB_MONI(for example, message mapping exception in asyncronous interface).
            I just followed the instructions at Michal Krawczyk
    weblog(/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step) and, initially, this was not sufficient to start to send alert when errors occurs only on SXMB_MONI, so, I researched and found some configurations to do in CCMS(started from here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/bf3b7a8ccb8040b638ff732c551aeb/content.htm), jobs to start events collectors, etc, and after this, I could see a mail for an message mapping exception. BUT, this message, sent from CCMS to ALM, doesn´t carry out all the message parameters, like message Id, sender(service, interface), receiver(service, interface), that is very important to help to find the message with errors to be solved.
            There is somebody here that already done the Alert configuration to send messages for errors found only in SXMB_MONI(Monitor for processed XML Messages) ?
            There is a better way to achieve this ?

  • Dynamic config for attachment without any message mapping in mail adapter

    Hi,
    In our scenario, we are not using any message mapping as a specification.A fixed length file is sent from source via proxy as an attachment to the mail.
    here the issue is with the file name of the attachment. how do we configure the attachment file name dynamically with out using any message maping.
    Regards,
    Divya

    Hi Divya,
    I understand you want to set name for mail attachment.
    SAP Note: Mail Adapter sapnote_0000856599
    Q: Can I choose the name of an attachment in the mail?
    A: Yes. Most mail clients use some heuristics based on some *MIME headers to derive the name of an attachment.* The MIME headers involved in most heuristics are Content-Type, Content-Description,and Content-Disposition. When you create an XI message, the XI payload name is automatically set in the Content-Description. If you want to change or set all of these headers, you can use the MessageTransformBean module (Note 793922) [Link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/57/0b2c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
    in the adapter framework.
    Q: How can I set the file name of a mail attachment?
    There are several MIME headers that play a role in how the client retrieves the file name of an attachment. Unfortunately, this behavior differs among various mail clients. The reason for this inconsistent behavior comes from the fact that this mechanism has been extended incrementally. The old way is to use the name parameter in the Content-Type header as specified in RFC1341. For example, you can set the content type of an XML attachment as:
    Content-Type: application/xml; name="abc.xml"
    RFC1521 discourages the use of this name parameter in anticipation of the new header Content-Disposition, which is defined in RFC1806.
    With this Content-Disposition header, you can set the file name as:
    Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="abc.xml"
    Some clients may show the Content-Description value as the file name. The Content-Description header is typically used to associate some descriptive information to an attachment (RFC1341) as in
    Content-Description: my xml file
    To avoid potential interpretation problems, it is recommended to combine the use of these headers.

  • Exception in Message mapping for JDBC - XI- file

    Hi,
    In the above scenario, Sender JDBC adapter has processed the message but when i checked the processed XML messages, its giving an error message with details
    <i>During the application mapping
    com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_XXXX_a
    com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException
    was thrown: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping
    transformatio~</i>
    how to make the source structure so that it gets correctly populated with the result set of sender JDBC adapter? Are there any constraints while making the Data type for the source structure?
    Regards,
    Nitin Aggarwal.

    Hi,
    The problem is solved...
    Actually, the runtime system was not able to map the result set generated by the Sender JDBC adapter to the source structure of message mapping. This was because the result set has a particular structure and its like
        <resultset>
          <row>
            <column1>value1</column1>
            <column2>value2<column2>
           </row>
        </resultset>
    To map this kind of structure to the source structure, a  <b>row</b> element should always be there below the root node and the structure fields should be placed as sub elements to row. One more thing the root node of the source structure should be same as the document name specified in the sender JDBC adapter config.
    Anyways, Thanks to all for the valuable efforts.
    Regards,
    Nitin.

  • Dynamically change Receiver Business system in message mapping

    Dear all,
    I would like to change the receiver business system in the message mapping that is used in the interface determination. I do understand there is an enhanced receiver determination where I can use a mapping but that is not what I am looking for.
    I think this should be possible if we can change the appropriate value in the SOAP(message) header.
    Possible candidates I can think of by looking at the SOAP header in SXMB_MONI are
    1. SOAP:Header- SAP:Main- SAP:Receiver- SAP:Service
    2. SOAP:Header- SAP:OutboundBinding - SAP:OutboundBindingEntry - SAP:ToServiceName
    Q1. Which one of the above is relevant while identifying the receiver agreement ?
    Q2. What is the best way to access them from the mapping(preferably from a UDF) ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    danus
    PS: I have tried to set "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System","ReceiverService" in Dynamic config & ReceiverService, BusinessSystemReceiver and ReceiverSystem in the Container’s Transformation Parameters, but didn't get the expected result.

    Chidambaram,
    You use an enhanced receiver determination to have a mapping program determine the receivers of the message dynamically at runtime. Instead of creating the receivers in the receiver determination manually, you assign a mapping to the receiver determination and this returns a list of receivers at runtime.
    A typical usage case is if you do not yet know the names of the receivers at configuration time. In this case, you can define a mapping program, for example, which reads a list of receivers from a table or from the payload of the message at runtime.
    Go through the following link:
    [Receiver Determination enhancement|http://www.****************/Tutorials/XI/RecvDetermination/Enhancement.htm]
    Hope your problem gets resolved.

  • Attachments deleted during message mapping in PI 7.1

    We have upgraded our SAP XI 3.0 SP 22 system to SAP PI 7.1 SP06. In XI 3.0 we created some message mappings that mapped an XML payload with attachments to another message type. The attachments would still exist after the mapping step. In SAP PI 7.1 we now see that attachements are deleted from the message. We cannot see why this is happening. We have tried to set the 3 new option in the operation mappings without any results. The attachements are still being deleted.
    Active Options in operation mappings:
        Use SAPXMLToolkit = true
        Do Not Resolve XOP includes = false
        Read Attachements = false
    In the SXMB_MONI we can see that the attachements are deleted after the Request Message Mapping step. It is a simple proxy-to-proxy scenario with interface and message mapping.

    Hi Michal,
    Already tried this option too. However this option would only transfer the attachments to
    the mapping runtime in JAVA. We only map the actual payload in a graphical message
    mapping, so for our purpose, the other attachments could stay untouched and remain
    in the abap part for further pipeline processing.
    You can find the result of the Read attachment option during runtime here:

    How do I create a new record for all unquie combinations of KOSTL and POSID?  And total the FTE field for each line?  Can this be done in a message mapping?

    Hello,
    How do I create a new record for all unquie combinations of KOSTL and POSID? And total the FTE field for each line? Can this be done in a message mapping?
    Yes, very much possible with or without UDF. See sample mapping below without using UDF:
    For ROW:
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: -> sort: case insensitive ascending -> splitByValue:valueChanged -> collapseContext -> ROW
    POSID(set context to row) ->  /
    For KOSTL:
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: ----------------> sortByKey: case insensitive ascending -> formatByExample -> collapseContext -> splitByValue:eachValue -> KOSTL
    POSID(set context to row) -> /      KOSTL(set context to row) ->/                                          /
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: -> sort: case insensitive ascending -> splitByValue:valueChanged -> /
    POSID(set context to row) ->  /
    For POSID:
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: ----------------> sortByKey: case insensitive ascending -> formatByExample -> collapseContext -> splitByValue:eachValue -> POSID
    POSID(set context to row) -> /      POSID(set context to row) ->/                                          /
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: -> sort: case insensitive ascending -> splitByValue:valueChanged -> /
    POSID(set context to row) ->  /
    For FTE:
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: ----------------> sortByKey: case insensitive ascending -> formatByExample -> sum -> splitByValue:eachValue -> FTE
    POSID(set context to row) -> /      FTE(set context to row) ->/                                            /
    KOSTL(set context to row) -> concat: -> sort: case insensitive ascending -> splitByValue:valueChanged -> /
    POSID(set context to row) ->  /
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Message getting struck at Request Message mapping

    Hi All,
    In our interface we have Proxy to HTTP scenario.  When we trigger data from R/3 system the data is getting blocked at SAP XI system.
    In SXMB_MONI when we see the status of the message it doesnot show any error status flag comes with a grey dot .
    Generally as per the XI Message process flow it should be some thing like this
    Inbound message
    Receiver Identification
    Interface determination
    Message Branch According to receiver list
    Request message Mapping
    Technical Routing
    Call Adapter
    Response
    When we expand and see the message monitoring it shows the following steps -
    Inbound message
    Receiver Identification
    Interface determination
    Message Branch According to receiver list
    there is no error messages and you dont see any steps in monitoring after this.
    Trace level is set to 3 and also set trace enable for sync interfaces.
    Please let me know if some one faced this issue and how to resolve this.
    Regards,
    Reddy

    Hi Srinivas,
    If receiver determination gets fail then it should give a error in SXMB_MONI messages.
    In the trace messages of the "Message Branch According to Receiver list" step in SXMB_MONI we are getting the details of the receiver and also the Communication channel need to be used also correctly.
    I would like to stress that after this step in sxmb_moni it should trigger "Request message mapping" step  but it is got getting triggered.
    Pls let me know if some one faced this issue or is it because of some cache related issue which is stopping the call to trigger message mapping.
    Reagrds,
    Reddy
