Message Mapping : Testing at Runtime

Hi all,
I am doing scenario File XI IDoc...
I was encountering error.. Runtime exception in Mapping...
So i tried the testing step described by michal.
if i paste the payload of the data obtained from SXMB_MONI in test tab of message mapping editor i will get error
<i>Cannot produce target element /WGSREQ02/IDOC/E1WGRK1. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd </i>
but for the same paylod in "src" of testing tab if i add namespace the testing is working fine.
Kindly can anybody give me suggestion
Regards,

    In your message mapping correct the UDF code.
    There is a problem in your textarea and you have missed to place semi colon ";".

    Hi,
    Check in which step you are receiving this error
    1st check in SXMB_MONI/trace
    2nd If the above is successful then check in rwb/comm channel monitoring/receiver rfc channel.

  • Error when testing from Message mapping test tab

    Hi Experts,
    I am wondering that when i test the message in the MM test tab its giving error and target message is not generating. I am not testing end to end then why it is triggering communication channel?
    I can see that the 'RFC_Alert_Service_RFC_Receive' communication channel is in Red color RWB--> communication channel monitoring. I even even refreshed the cache and also activated the RFC channel but no use.
    Below are the error details:

    Unlock the user you are using in the RFC channel and provide the correct password in the channel configuration. Once the channel error is resolved you would be able to test the Mapping sucessfully...
    >>why it is triggering communication channel?
    You would be using RFC lookup in the mapping....

  • Message Mapping vs Interface Mapping test tabs giving different results.

    Hi all,
    I am developing an interface that always requires an output file to be created (even if there is no data).  I have found a way to change my select statement in the JDBC sender to initiate the message even if there isn't any data (using UNION select -1 ID, '' col1, '' col2, etc.) and that seems to work fine.  I then put logic in the message mapping to suppress the row that contains the -1 ID value, which would result in an empty file when there is no other data, and should result in a file containing only the correct data when there is data.
    So, my problem: I am always getting empty files with this logic.  I tested the logic in the message mapping test tab and it worked perfectly, however when I test it using the interface mapping test tab it results in what becomes an empty file!
    My source and destination structures are fairly simple:
    Root
    --row
    ID
    col1
    col2
    The logic I use to suppress the ID = -1 row is:
    =removeContexts([]ifWithoutElse([keepss=true]Not([]equalsS([]ID, Constant([value=-1]))), SplitByValue([type=Each value]row)))
    Obviously, I'm stumped - any help would be appreciated!

    Can you quote the error log..u r getting error in message mappin or interface mapping?
    Please suggest the test results for both the mappings.

  • Runtime Execption Message Mapping

    Hi,
    I have created a scenario, receiving a sequential text file. The receiving container (CT1)is a process container type:abstract interface. CT1 is specified as source message for the following transformation process. Target message is a CT2 specified as abstract interface and process container. The transformation process creates the above mentioned error. The messages mapping test in the design repository is successful.
    Any ideas why this error occurs?
    Cheers, Jo

    Thanks for that hint. I still have problems to configure the adapter as required for the interface. The interface has an XML structure like :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns:BPNO xmlns:ns="http://pcs.acn.com/basicdata">
      <BPNO>12345</BPNO>
    </ns:BPNO>
    and the adapter either needs to have the document name or the adapter deletes the value of the fields like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns:BPNO xmlns:ns="http://pcs.acn.com/basicdata">
      <BPNO />
      </ns:BPNO>
    Any ideas how to specify the adapter?
    Any help is appriciated!

  • How to test message mapping in XMLSPY if two receive message types exist?

    Hi gurus,
    In our message mapping, we have one send message and two receive messages, the testing is ok in message mapping test tool in ESR. While in XMLSPY, it gave the error because of the reason as follows:
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
       <ns0:Message1>
    Even after we added those statments, the error was still there.
    How can I resove this problem? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    In the source XML message you may find some extra tags being included.
    Just remove those extra tags, then it will work fine.
    For example:
    If your source XML message is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
    <ns0:Message1>
    <ns1:MT_FileToFile_MultiMap_Src xmlns:ns1="http://FileToFile/MultiMap">
    <Input>
    <Name>ab</Name>
    <EmpId>123</EmpId>
    </Input>
    </ns1:MT_FileToFile_MultiMap_Src>
    </ns0:Message1>
    </ns0:Messages>
    remove the extra tags and then it will look like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_FileToFile_MultiMap_Src xmlns:ns0="http://FileToFile/MultiMap">
    <Input>
    <Name>ab</Name>
    <EmpId>123</EmpId>
    </Input>
    </ns0:MT_FileToFile_MultiMap_Src>
    i hope this will help you,
    regards,
    ganesh.

    Regards
    Usman

    Hi Usman,
    Test your mapping in IR with the payload from SXMB_MONI. You can refer michal's weblog on <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/16/xi-how-to-test-your-mapping-in-real-life-scenarios to test your mapping (in real life scenarios)</a>
    In other words you copy the XML message from monitoring and exectute the mapping in Integration Builder with maximal trace to get the reason.
    So what you can do is check ur runtime payload in sxmb_moni with,
    IR>message mapping>test tab>give values>test-->source xml
    Also i thought i will give you some details on what ur doing, so maybe you can compare it with what uhave done and see where you have gone wrong.
    A JDBC sender adapter has 2 essential fields,
    1. SQL Statement
    2. Update Statement
    Your SQL statement will contain your SELECT statement and once your SQL statement is executed, UPDATE statement is executed. This is done so that records that have been selected by the SQL statement should not be selected again as the JDBC sender adapter will poll over the database for every poll interval.
    If you want to SELECT something from your Database, then you will have to go for a JDBC sender adapter.
    This is how a SENDER JDBC Adapter works,
    When you are using your JDBC as a sender, then your JDBC will poll over your database and select the rows that satisfy your Select Query.
    In your case, as you are dealing with multiple tables, you can write a stored proceudre for your Database, and call this stored procedure in your Sender JDBC adapter in the SELECT field of your JDBC adapter.
    Go through this blog for stored procedures.
    /people/sriram.vasudevan3/blog/2005/02/14/calling-stored-procs-in-maxdb-using-sap-xi
    For Configuring the Sender JDBC Adapter refer go through <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7e/5df96381ec72468a00815dd80f8b63/content.htm">Configuring the Sender JDBC Adapter</a>
    Also go through this blog and see if it helps you.

    To access any Database from XI, you will have to install the corresponding Driver on your XI server.

  • Message Mapping Vs Interface Mapping

    What are the differences between Message Mapping and Interface Mapping?

    Hi,
    Message mapping
    1) Transformation from one message structure to another message structure
    2) Message Mapping is nothing but a set of rules for producing target XML from the source XML according to business requirement.These rules are nothing but relations between the source XML tags and target XML tags
    3) 4 types(graphical, java, xslt, abap) mapping
    4) You can check whether a complete message mapping functions at runtime once you have described it, by using the Test tab page.
    Interface mapping
    1) Interface mapping registers a pair of interfaces for a scenario and specifies the message mapping to be used
    2) you can execute multiple mapping programs consecutively
    3) To check whether an interface mapping that you have defined functions at runtime, test the interface mapping on the Test tab page.
    Limitations
    1) value mapping table cannot be accessed here
    2) runtime constants of the mapping runtime are not set,but set to dummy values.
    differences
    message mapping you declare how the source message will be mapped to the the target message.
    What source field will be mapped to the target field and any conditions for it to happen.
    interface mapping you define what interfaces that will be communicating with each other. You will also see what message mapping the interfaces are using to exchange data. You need to do the message mapping before you do the interface mapping to get it correct.
    Other releated things
    ->I think there can be Interface mappings without any Message mappings. This will work properly if both the source and target interfaces are of same type.
    There might be less sense in these scenarios but they cannot be ruled out. They can help at times.
    Interface mappings register your mapping program for an interface pair in the Integration Repository. If you require a mapping at runtime, it is sufficient to select the interface mapping for the interface pair at configuration time.
    ->The Integration Server uses the interface mapping to identify associated mapping programs for request messages, response messages, fault messages, or all three.
    You can also create multiple interface mappings for the same interface pair.

    But i have seen an error  in sxmb_moni
    <SAP:Category>Application</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>com/sap/xi/tf/_SUM1_MM_</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2>com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException</SAP:P2>
      <SAP:P3>RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~</SAP:P3>
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>During the application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_SUM1_MM_ a com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException was thrown: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~</SAP:Stack>
    Please solve the problem your help is memorable

    Hi Deviprasad,
    It looks like a mapping error, test your mapping in IR with the payload from SXMB_MONI.

  • Parameterized Message Mapping in PI 7.1

    Hi,
    My requirement is:
    If the import parameter of type "string" equals constant "Test",
    pass the constant value "Mail1" to the target field,
    else pass the constant value "Mail2" to the target field.
    Also I have mentioned the import parameter value in Interface Determination as "Test".
    So, "Mail1" should be the output, but in a strange way i'm always getting "Mail2" as the output.
    In message mapping test tab, i'm getting the expected output as "Mail1" but when i test it end-to-end, i'm getting "Mail2" as the output.
    Does it mean that we cannot use the import parameters for checking any conditon? Or am I doing any silly mistake?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    I'm giving the condition in Message mapping editor using standard functions.
    Actual requirement is to pass a particular mail id to the target field in Development environment and some other mail id in Production environment. As we don't have any particular source field to check the condition, we tried using parameterized mapping for the same.

  • Message Mapping- Source text view not working

    HI friends,
    in my idoc to file ,
    in message mapping testing (static testing),
    i given values for sourse message and i executed test and the values are populating in target message.in target meesge if want to view of xml using source text view then..
    i am getting follwing ..
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    i am not getting full data in xml format..
    please guide me...
    regards
    Munna

    Hi Munna,
    The solution was the use of Pretty Print.
    Double Click on the "Source Text View". You will get an icon of Pretty Print on the side. Click on it. The whole XML will be displayed.
