Message via SM59 "HTTP connection to external partner" not sent to partner

I have a scenario where I am supposed to send a message to an external partner using https. I have created the HTTP connection in SM59 "HTTP connection to external server" and selected the default certificate. This connection is referenced in the http receiver CC in PI 7.1, but when I send the iDoc message from the backend it is not sent out of PI to the external partner.
There are no apparent errors in the trace files in SMICM on the PI system, but our firewall guys say, that they cannot see the outgoing call in our firewall and the external partner cannot see the message either.
There is connection to the external server from the PI server, which has been confirmed by a telnet connection.
We think that there might be a problem on our web server, but we are not sure.
We have previously succeeded in calling an other server at the external partner from the PI system using a different client certificate. When we do a connection test in SM59 we get an error 500 but the external partner can see the GET request in their firewall.
Any suggestions are more than welcome

The error message appears in the call adapter pipeline step before the supposed mapping is supposed to take place. The error message is:

As already suggested, you could try disabling the MAC filtering from the router, just to outrule possibility of a typo while entering E72's MAC address to router settings.
Have you tried swithing a WLAN channel that your router uses?
Log in to your router's web management pages (check router's default IP address and username/password from it's manual) and switch of the "Automatic" channel selection mode. Try few different channels, like 1, 3, 6, 9, 11, if one of the channels happens to work any better. Note that in case you have set your router to use channels 12 or 13 (or in case "Automatic" channel selection mode has decided to select channel 12 or 13) you must have a SIM card inserted and some other than "Offline" profile enabled on your phone since Offline mode (i.e. airplane / flight mode) won't allow your phone to operate on higher channels than 11.
In case you have configured your WLAN network (SSID) to be "hidden", try disabling hidden SSID mode on the router.
Asus WL-500W router seems to be a pre-standard 802.11n device so might be worth looking in to your router's WLAN settings and see if playing around with router's WLAN operating mode and settings improve the situation. First of all ensure that your router is not set to operate in 20/40MHz mode (set it to 20MHz only) assuming that the router is in default 802.11b/g/n mode. You could also try disabling the 802.11n mode completely by selecting a 802.11b/g mode (if available).
You should probably also check that you're running latest (2.0.0.6 ??) firmware version on your Asus WL-500W router since there seems to plenty of complaints regarding WLAN connectivity and stability issues (in general, not specific to Nokia handsets) with this particular router model.

Getting a "Business partner not found with partner function type requester"

Character length exceeds 255 chracters in SM59 -- HTTPS connection

Hi all,
SAP XI communicates with external partner using HTTPS connection. For this, during receiver communication channel creation, i had specified HTTP_DESTINATION and configure the parameters accordingly in sm59(Type G). Test connection to the external system is working perfectly fine. Using this configuration, we are able to push documents to the external server and they could see them in their internal systems.
Now the URL to connect to the external server has been modified. The URL is more than 255 characters. (approximately 400 characters). So when we mention the URL ( 400 character URL) in sm59, the characters excess of 255 are being truncated. So, while connecting to the external server, only the first 255 characters are being passed.
Is there any way in which SM59 destination parameters(Path prefix) can be modified so that more than 255 characters can be accomodated...?
If not, is there any other alternate way of acheiving this scenario.

Errors with HTTPS Connection to external server

I am trying to establish a HTTPS connection to an external web site in transaction SM59, but I get ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED errors. I get the same errors from a bespoke ABAP program.
I know the request is getting to the web site, but the response is not getting back into SAP.
This is not firewall related.
I have installed and configured the SAPCRYPTOLIB software for SSL support and entered the necessary instance profile parameters.
I have configured STRUST.
SM59 is setup for type G (HTTP Connection to Ext. Server) and port no. 8443
I have started the HTTPS service in SMICM
I have noticed an odd entry in the SCICM trace file, but dont know how to fix.
ERROR => Connection request from (-1/65535/0) to host: mms-sap.sapmms.com, service: 8000 failed (NIECONN_PENDING)
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've tried everything in SM59.
SAP refers to both protocols as HTTP.
I think the error is with the response coming back into SAP. SAP doesn't know what to do. It might be DNS related or I might need to configure the ICM somewhere. Oddly the response comes back into sap on port 8000 (which is HTTP). It went out on port 8443 (which is HTTPS).

Is there a problem with FaceTime, can not connect. When dial it connects and drops. When friends are calling me they have calling message and I have connecting but it does not connect. Need help, face time is my life line.

There is a barely acknowledged issue. For Mac users Apple has released an update to the app, but for iOS users the recommendation is for users to update their ipad to the most recent operating system.
There may be a fix coming for iOS6 users (which seem to be many of those having problems) or there may not be. If your ipad isn't up to date then you can update it and see if that helps, or if you don't want to update then you may want to wait and see if there is either a fix or if it fixes itself.

I get an error message where my IM's in AIM are not sent

When I send IM's in my AIM profile some are not sent I get the following error message "The message “XXXXX…” could not be delivered. Your message could not be sent." I notice that it happens when I send a long message but it will send if I break up the message I'm trying to send. Is there any fix for this? Thanks a bunch!

There does appear to be a Character limit to IMs.
Copying an pasting crash logs can lead to this issue.
It can be better if you start the chat as Direct IM (See Buddies Menu) or convert it to Direct IM by including a pic or file in the chat.
This only works one-to-one and not in Group Chats.

SM59 - HTTP Connection to ABAP System fails

I am building an http conn from XI to ECC6 for ABAP proxy
On Connection Test, I get the error - ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
On running the trace in SMICM, I get the following:

Part of this problem has been solved right now...the http port on the R/3 server is 8002 and not 8000!!
Changing the port solved my problem from XI to R/3.
But the R/3 to XI error persists with the same behaviour. I have checked with BASIS, no firewall exists in between.
I have used the ip add while creating the http conn....do I have to change this elsewhere?

Telco Messages via PRI (VG) connected to CUCM 9.X via SIP Trunk??

Questions:
Should I hear tel-co message on an IP Phone if a call that is meant to be long distance is sent to the gateway without a one (1). Currently these calls simply ring until disconnect, but work properly if the user dials a 1, the user expects to get a message from the provider and I am wondering if the SIP trunk between GW and CUCM is not allowing it?
Scenario:
IP Phone --> CUCM (SIP Trunk) --> ISR 2901(PRI) --> PSTN
In CUCM we have a local pattern 9.[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX
If the IP Phone dials a number that is actually a long distance number, which would require a 1, but they dial it as a 10 digit local number, the call gets to the gateway and IP Phone hears ringing but it, rings until it eventually disconnects. At this point I believe the gateway is sending a cause code back to CUCM and I would expect error message back from the telco informing the caller of the issue, such as "Please dial 1 before a long distance number". Is there a specific setting on the SIP trunk and or Gateway to achieve this?

Yes, Early media needs to be turned on the SIP Profile that is associated to the SIP trunk. The setting is SIP Rel 1xx options. It needs to be set for Send PRACK for all 1XX messages. If you have CUCM 7.x , this setting is a service parameter.

JDBC connection to external database not working from EP 6 SP2.

We have Enetrprise Portal 6 Service Pack 2 installed. We are planning to install business content which gets the data from external database using JDBC driver.

TS4123 I cannot connect to ITunes store from Windows Vista. Get unknown error (0x80092013) message but am network connected. Diagnostics say not administrator, but am. No LSP. HELP!

Network connection IS active. Network connectivity test confirms, but shows Secure link to ITunes store failed. Tried help from diagnostics but get message that help is unavailable because computer isn't connected to internet (but it is). Diagnostic details show current user is not administrator (but is). Details show basic connection to the store failed. Tried all the "helps"/solutions I could find-- ie flush dns, No LSP except Bonjour, firewalls, etc. and still can't connect. What can I do????

HTTPS connection with client certificate not working in spartan

Spartan does not show certificate for the user to select
when I click the https link.
The certificates (taken from a smartcard) are indeed present in the user CertStore.
It works with IE 11 and Chrome.
Has somebody any suggestions ?

in fact you are more using a reverse-proxy than a proxy since it is on the server part..
You have to put all the SSL server part on the reserve-proxy itself and not on the final RSS feed. Then, the reverse-proxy will authenticate your client and gets its certificate. After that, either this proxy will open a plain connection (no ssl) towards the RSS, or you can also open a ssl connection but this means you must create a client certificate for the proxy. It just depends on the security level you need, and I used this solution many times in professional hosting.

Can anyone explain me how to create the http connection in SM59.
Here iam getting a status error as HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
here my scenario is File to Proxy
Suggest me where i have to make this connection means in XI or SAP system regarding this scenario (file to proxy)?

Hi Krishna,
When you create a RFC in SM59 provide/check the following info
Provid the RFC destination
Provide connection type as G HTTP connection to external server
In description tab provide at least one description
In technical settings provide target host name and provide service no then provide the path prefix
Leave the HTTP proxy options empty
In Logon&Security tab choose basic authentication in logon procedure
In Status of Secure Protocol choose SSL as Inactive then choose SSL Client Certificate as DEFAULT SSL Client(standard)
In Special Options tab choose and set Specify time out 900 msec
In HTTP Settings choose HTTP 1.0
Compression Status choose as inactive
Choose compression status inactive then choose compressed response as YES
In HTTP Cookies choose Accept Cookies choose NO
Save the connection and do a test connection it will prompt for Response from Web Server Contains Cookies Accept? Accept all further cookies tick the box and say YES
