Messages interfaces doubt in Webservices and BPM design

i have a requirement where SAP sends data to some web application.. so we are going to use Proxy to webservices.. in this we are also using BPM.
SAP sends the data to PI ..in PI BPM triggers it will check some login credintials with webserices application and response will be sent back to PI .. in PI it will have to append the login session id with SAP data and then finally PI pushes the data to target system(web application).
SAP--SAP-PI (BPM)web services.
  1. SAP sends data to PI
  2. PI checks the login credentials with webservices
  3.Sen back the session id
  4. session id appended to SAP data
  5. Final data will be sent to webapplications
So how many msg interfaces that i need to create.?
  1 DATAfrom SAP_Outbound (Asyn) ---
  2. Data from SAP_Abstarct(Asyn)_BPM
  3. Data webapplication to SAP- (abstarct )-Sync   ( which gets the session id)
  3. FinalDatato Webapplication(Asyn)-Abstract
Please correct me if i'm wrong...
Regads,
Deeps

Hi Shabarish,
  Proxy call is Async
Prateek,
can we make it with SOAP lookup? which one is best the option BPM or SOAP lookup..
i hope it is always good to have a interface without BPM right ?
Can you tell me how to approach SOAP lookup.. ?

  • What's up with Webservices and BPM integration?

    According to http://e-docs.bea.com/wli/docs70/design/intarch.htm, table
3-1, webservices are a key component of the Integration architecture,
    which:
"Provides sample code to support WebServices integration using
    WebServices technologies
such as UDDI, WebServices Description Language (WSDL), and Simple Object
    Access
Protocol (SOAP). WebLogic Integration provides the ability to invoke a
    WebService
from a BPM workflow, enable a BPM workflow as a WebService, and to
    enable the
Application View as a WebService. For an introduction to WebLogic
    WebServices,
see the WebServices and XML Tech Track in the BEA dev2dev Online at the
    following
    URL:
    http://dev2dev.bea.com/index.jsp"
The only thing which comes close to this description is the BPM Plugin
for webservices, which is alpha code for WLI 2.1. To deploy this on 7, I
have only seen a message here describing loosely what to do.
So is this how we are expected to use webservices together with
Integration? With alpha code that requires tweaking to work with the
current version? Or am I missing something vital? The quote from the
docs suggest "sample code", however the webservices plugin is not
provided in source, so I don't see how it qualifies as sample code?
Somehow I also don't quite understand how "sample code" can be construed
    as a "key component".
So what's up with webservices and Integration?
    -Lasse
(only speaking for myself in news!)

Your comment about the lacking of web services in WLI is correct
and a fundamental issue I have signalled to BEA already many
months ago. I even followed the BPM course to make sure I did
not miss an important point. The BPM course did not deal with
webservices because it is not available. But the fundamental remark goes further
because webservices also have a dynamic
interface WSCI to behave within a choreography of webservices
within a business process. BPM is still mainly workflow based
and intracompany. This is not what is expected as business
processes which are collaborative and a new paradigm alternative for applications
    conform BPML-WSCI or BPEL4WS-ws transaction.
I still wait from BEA a confirmation that webservices and collaborative business
processes according to (at least) one of
the above standards will be included within the next version of weblogic enterprise
platform due end of March 2002.
    Kind regards,
    Paul Meurisse

  • Webservice and BPM; connection AFW failed

I have created the following integration process:
    1. Asynchronous receive step of a xml file;
    2. Synchronous send step to invoke webservice;
    3. Asynchronous send step of the response file.
In this process XI will read a xml file from a directory on the server, convert this file to a SOAP request, call the webservice and convert the SOAP response to a xml file. This file is then sent to the same server directory.
When I look in SXMB_MONI the whole process is set to ok. The response of the webservice is in the payload of the XI response message. (This is the message from my integration process to the inbound message interface.).
But the response file never reached its destination.
When I look at the file adapter monitor it reports: "Up and running - no message processing until now".
And when I look at the message monitoring, there are the following messages:

I could send you a document with some screen shots. If so send me an email ([email protected])

  • Trouble with WebServices and LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.1.3

    Hi,
Eventually I want to create a rather complex form that users will use to create a Change Request in our ticketing system through a webservice exposed by the same ticketing solution.  However, right now I'm just attempting to create a very simple form as proof of concept.  It's connected to a webservice that accepts two inputs a string and a datetime and returns 4 or 5 values that aren't necessary to display on the form but would be nice.
I've made the Data connection using the wizard and input the correct WSDL location and ES2 does see the webservice and pulls in the fields, including the execute button, that corresponds to the webservice.  However, once I populate the fields and attempt to execute the call with the pre-packaged button, nothing happens. No errors and the call is never sent to the server.  I've independantly verified that the webservice is reachable via the computer that I'm testing with and also that's it's accessible via others on the network.  What appears to happen is that the call to the webservice is never sent from the PDF.  If I change the execution option from Client to Server then I get an error message as such "Couldn't post data to''.  Which makes sense, I think, since I don't have a LiveCycle Server.
Can anyone help?  What am I doing wrong?  I'd attach the file, but I don't seem to have the option.
    Thanks,
    CJ

Are you testing in Acrobat or Reader. My guess is Reader.....Reader does not support Web Service calls on its own. You can Reader Extend the form to allow Reader to do the Web Service call. To be able to do that you will need LiveCycle Reader Extensions server to do the extending for you.
For testing I suggest that you download the trial version of Acrobat (it does not have this restriction) and see if it satisfies your needs. Then you can decide if it is more economical to buy Reader Extensions server or buy copies of Acrobat for your users.
    Hope that helps

  • Message splitting using java mapping and BPM

    Hi all,
I have a PLAIN FILE to IDOC Scenario.
We decide to use javamapping instead of message mapping because we have several hierachical structures.
We has more than one IDOC for file. And the mapping it's unable to detect the another header and create it at XI.
    I had seen:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
"XI: IDOC bundling - the "trick" with the occurance change"
But the problem it's we doesn't use mapping programs, so we can't apply to this case.
So now i need to create a BPM scenario for resolve this issue. Anyone knows any example for split the income message and send any idocs to destination?
    Thanks in advance,

    IT WORKED !!!!
The only thing it's at out code line we must improve it in another way.
For everyone who needs to resolve, i copy the code line of the java mapping program.
The relationship is from the specific mapping for every scenary calling GenToHierMap.

  • Webservices and BPM

    Hi all,
How a normal BPM process in Netweaver is Related to Web services. Is BPM process internally using SOAP Webservice? because i see a webservice model in webdynpro component using a BPM process component.
is the knowledge of webservices is required for doing a project in BPM with Webdynpro Java.
I think its a basic question. Please help on this .
    regards
    Deva

The best way to communicate with third-party application from your BPM is to use web services.
Normally you publish all needed web services (e.g. from your ABAP backend) in the services registry.
Afterwards it's easy to call those web services from your BPM (e.g. in an automated activity).
The BPM processes that you create get also published as web services.
This makes it easy to trigger the process from other application etc.
In terms of UI technology I advice you to have a look at SAPUI5 instead of WDJ:
WDJ is outdated and will not be developed further.
Another big disadvantage is the fact that it cannot be used properly on mobile devices.
I also started with WDJ, but now I change the UI to SAPUI5...

  • The message sequence of JMS adapter and BPM

This is my scenario: AP1 -> MQ -> JMS Adapter -> XI BPM -> SAP
But if AP1 sends 10 messages to MQ server, how to make sure the received message sequence of SAP is the same as AP1 ?
Because JMS adapter doesn't have synchronous ability, or I can set best effort to make sure the sequence.

  • Unable to view Abstract Message Interface(Sync) in Container Step of BPM

    Dear Friends,
This is IDOC---SOAP Sync Communication Interface
I have created the External Def by exporting & importing the Standard Idoc
and Imported the WSDL File which has the Request & response Structure
I have created the Outbound Sync message Interface for Idoc side
and Abstract Sync message Interface for the same to use in BPM
and also created Inbound Sync Message Interface for Webservice side
and Abstract Sync Message Interface for the same to use in BPM
    Problem is::::
While creating the Container varible inside the Integration Process, i have to select the Abstract Message Interface which i created for Idoc.
But it is not at all visible in the list.
    What might be the problem

    Hi,
    I have created
    For Idoc side
    1) Create O/b Sync by having request of Idoc and response structure of Idoc
    2) Create ABS Sync by having the request of Idoc and response structure of Idoc
    3) Create ABS Async by having the Request of Idoc Only
    For Webservice side
    1) Create I/b Sync by having the request of webservice and response of that
    2) Create ABS Sync by having the request of webservice and response of that
    3) Create ABS Async by having the Response of Webservice only
I created the Steps inside the Integration Process as showed in the screens.

  • Web services with message interface

    Hi;
    I have  questions.Can anybody help me ?
First; I created web service with function group, function module, bapi.
But I don't use message interface for endpoint type and I don't know how to use it.
I don't know mean of message interface. Can you send me documan or example for this topic.
Second; I don't know security of web services.

    Hi,
You can create webservice for message interfaces as same as you created for FM, BAPI...
Here you need to mention the message interface  name for which you need to create webservice..
To know about Security ...please refer the below link..

  • Exposing mutiple outbound message interface as a single Web service

    Hi all,
My Scenario is SOAP <--> PI 7.0 <---> SAP R/3 (Proxy communication). A third party portal will communicate 24/7 online with SAP R/3 via PI 7.0. I have to expose all the outbound message interfaces as a single webservice, so that the third party portal will consume that web service and will communicate to SAP R/3. The communication between Portal and PI 7.0 will be SOAP and from PI to SAP R/3 as proxy communication. I can able to expose a each outbound message interface as a webservice individually i.e each message interface gets separate WSDL file. But the portal people asking me to generate single WSDL (web service) in which all the message interfaces should be included as operations. Could you please send me the information, how to generate a single web service for all the message interfaces?
I have gone through the entire SDN community, but could nt able to get the information. If anybody worked on similer issue , please guide me to approach to get the solution.
    Regards
    Vijayanand Poreddy

    Hi,
It is possible to expose all operation using one endpoint by overwritting the default interface name and interface namespace in one "generic" soap sender CC. To achieve it, you need to set the following options Use Encoded Headers and Use Query String in your sender CC.
Unfortunatelly, there is one drowback of this approach. Before portal will send the request, it has to concatenate the generic endpoint:
    http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>
    with URL encoded interface information:
    &version=3.0&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fsap.com%2Ftest%5ETest
    for each operations.
For more detail ref these docs:
[How To… Use the XI 3.0 SOAP Adapter|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d23cbe11-0d01-0010-5287-873a22024f79]
    [Note 856597 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 SOAP Adapter|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1wbCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=856597&nlang=EN&smpsrv=https%3a%2f%2fwebsmp210%2esap-ag%2ede]
I guess that in PI 7.1 this disadvantage will be enhanced.

  • Cisco Messaging Interface-Not Running

    Hi All,
On the UCM 6.0 the Cisco Messaging Interface service is activated and when i check the status in 'control center feature services' it shows 'Not Running' and 'Activated'. If i start and refresh the page it again shows as 'Not Running'

    Hi Vineet,
This interface is only used in CCM to Legacy VM integrations (via SMDI) if you are not setup that way this is why you are seeing this :)
    Cisco Messaging Interface Service
The Cisco Messaging Interface allows you to connect a simplified message desk interface (SMDI)-compliant external **Third Party** voice-mail system with the Cisco CallManager. The CMI service provides the communication between the voice-mail system and Cisco CallManager. The SMDI defines a way for a phone system to provide a voice-mail system with the information needed to intelligently process incoming calls.
Genrally the Cisco Messaging Interface (CMI) is a Cisco CallManager service that should be run only on the publisher server. This service intercepts calls destined for voicemail and generates appropriate SMDI messages, which are then delivered to one of the server's Component Object Model (COM) ports.

    Regards,

    Hi,
I just saw your IP design and from this I can see that you have message mapping between Sender(as in Outbound interface MIOASY) and abstract interface (as in MIAASY) and then in that you have used transformation step to utilise Interface mapping which is between same abstract interface which is not required at all as message type for both the interfaces is same. For me, what your configuration would be is
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender and Outbound interface and Abstract interface with interface mapping IM_Sender
        b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it must be of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
If I am assuming it correct then if you see then inside BPM we are not using receiver interface MIIASY which is why I feel this error is coming.
However, if you design it something like this then I feel the error would get resolved
    Design
    1. Make one abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen) of same type as sender, and create another abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec) of same type as your receiver message type
    2. Create message mapping between sender message type and receiver message type, Interface mapping IM_ABS - (MM_ABS_ABS) between sender abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen)  and receiver abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec)
    3. BPM should be something like this
       Container:*
    rec Abstract Interface MIAASY_Sen
    send Abstract Interface MIAASY_Rec
Receiver (rec) - Transformation (IM_ABS) -  sender (send)
    Configuration
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender,Outbound interface MIOASY and Abstract interface MIAASY_Sen with no interface mapping
       b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY_Rec and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it is of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
Let me know if it works.

  • BPM - Message Interface

    Hello all,
I have some doubts about Messages Interface used in BPM.
BPM just used Abstract Message Interfaces, but to expose the Interface to sender aplication, XI need the same Message Interfaces that is declared abstract but no abstract.
My question is how the Business Process Engine that the Outbound Message Interface, that my application is using, is the Abstract Interface that activate my Integration Process???
    Regards,
    Luiz

    Hi
BPM can process only through abstract interfaces.
Those abstract interfaces attached to a receive step in BPM(Receive step is a mandatory step to start the integration process) are automatically assigned as inbound interfaces with respect to BPM and will be outbound interfaces with respect to sender side and similarly in the receiver side.
I didnt get your question properly.hope i am giving the answer you needed.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vineetha

  • Split Message, send to webservice and consolidate the results

    Hello,
I am looking for some support / examples for following situation:
A webservice is existing that only allows a single message to be entered. The webservice will return the result on this message. The structure of the message is very simple as it contains only one element. (Same for the response)
What I would like to do is to be able to send a list of several values to be checked by this webservice. The idea is to build a BPM to send a multi-element message (repeating element / different values) , split this multi element message into seperate messages including one element, send all these messages accordingly to the webservice, receive and collect all according responses and consolidate these again in a multiu-element response message.
If someone would have a description or an example with the different needed steps how to build this BPM, this would be nice.
    Thanks in advance !

    hi,
    just open asynch synch bridge
you will be creating multi-line container with interface variable as instance.
assumption is a source system is pumping messages of same data type.
recieve step to get the messages.
you just collect the messages using container
then use reciever determinaton step to get the receivers in receiver variable .
use the transformation step to get the target messgaes
loop through the target message container and execute send step. after send step collect message.
note:in loop step we have decrement message counter  send step which has collection variable for response.
    hope you got some  idea.

  • Usage of Abstract Message Interface for non-BPM

    Hi,
I have a message that I am using as both as an inbound and an outbound for 2 different mapping. I am not using BPM. Is it better to create 2 message interfacesone for outbound and one for inboundor should I just create 1 abstract message interface that can be used in both mappings? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using 2 message interfaces (1 inbound and 1 outbound) against 1 abstract message interface? Would using abstract cause a lot of problems or performance problems in the future?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Elbert

    hi,
abstract messages are only used for BPMs
so I suggest creating 2 instead if you don's use a BPM
