Met error when deploy external table
I create a file location on one machine and target table on another.
when i deploy a map there's error. the error message like the following:
oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException
oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException
at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.WHRuntimeProgress.notifyInternalError(WHRuntimeProgress.java:177)
at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.WHRuntimeDeployThread.run(WHRuntimeDeployThread.java:128)
\nCMPException 消息和堆栈跟踪:\njava.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.WHRuntimeDeployThread.run(WHRuntimeDeployThread.java:49)
how can i solve this problem?
thank you!!
Essentially you will need deploy the following:
- The target objects
- The connectors between the targets and sources
- the mappings
Are you using a file in this case in the mapping, or are you using an external table?
I'm a bit worried about the nullpointer exeption. Is there a way you can send me the metadata export of the repository? You can use [email protected] for that.

KUP-01005 error when selecting external table
Hi All,
My name is arun. I am having trouble resolving the following error. I tried to google, search oracle forum but no avail. I would really appreciate some help? I hope someone point me to the right direction with this problem. Thank you.
Scenario :
I have done the following :
1. Created the external directories using a user account(KDEV199). However by default its owned by SYS user.
2. Created the table necessary for selection. This was done by user account(KDEV199)
3. I have granted the folder privileges owned by oinstall:oracle where the 2 physical files exists. Thus all the files is owned by oracle. This was done at OS layer.
4. I have created 2 files necessary to extract data & read in oracle. This was done at OS layer.
The problem is that i have the following when i try to select the table :
SQL> select * from TEXN_IGM_MST;
select * from TEXN_IGM_MST

Invalid number error when using external table
Hello.
I have a problem with creating an external table with number field.
My txt file looks like:
11111|text text|03718
22222|text text text|04208
33333|text|04215
I try to create external table like:
create table table_ex (
id varchar2(5),
name varchar2(100),
old_id number(5))
organization external (Type oracle_loader default directory dir
access parameters(
RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
fields terminated by '|'
(id, name, old_id))
location ('file.txt'));
When i create the table and run select i get this in log file:
Field Definitions for table TABLE_EX
Record format DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
Data in file has same endianness as the platform
Rows with all null fields are accepted
Fields in Data Source:
ID CHAR (255)
Terminated by "|"
Trim whitespace same as SQL Loader
NAME CHAR (255)
Terminated by "|"
Trim whitespace same as SQL Loader
OLD_ID CHAR (255)
Terminated by "|"
Trim whitespace same as SQL Loader
error processing column OLD_ID in row 1 for datafile
/dir/file.txt
ORA-01722: invalid number
Whats the problem?
Any idea?
Thanks

How to resolve error when Loading External Table?
Iâm getting the following errors when attempting to load External Table -- I've changed the file extension from .csv to .txt to resolve ORA-29913 but error re-occurred. See syntax of External Table below.

The key issue here is
"KUP-04063: unable to open log file owb_county_timezone.log
OS error Permission denied".
Looks like you don't have sufficient system priviliges on Unix.
This is wat AskTom mentions about it:
"the directory must exist on the SERVER.
the concerned user is the "oracle software owner" as far as the OS is concerned.
oracle must have read write access to this directory
and the directory must exist on the SERVER (database server) itself."
Hope this helps.

Error in Deploying External Table
Hi,
I am using OWB 10.2g version to create a database. While deploying the external table, I got the following message:
"TSS_15MIN_EX ErrMsgKey VLD-0180: A default location is required for external tables."
Could you help me in solving this issue?
Thanks,
VipulHi Sutirtha,
I tried to double click on the external table (in the Control Center) but nothing happens. I could only right click and select the only highlighted "Configure" option. In the configure option, only the following file locations turn up that all uses default file location:
Bad File Location
Discard file location
Log file location
To give you a head start, It is the first time that we are deploying these tables as we are in a process of migrating the server to a different machine. In our current server, all these external tables are probably in C:\ or directed in C:\ but we have changed the path to D:\ in the new server. Do you think it has to do something while we import the metadata?
Thanks,
Vipul -
Error deploying external table on database 11.1.0.6

Sounds like the instance's data dictionary is screwed up, I would try using a different database instance.

any help please

tarekHello thank u for helping, i have exactly the same problème in Error executing a query using a DB-Link
but i am not inderstanding the solution, i found the same probleme in metalink, and the solution posted is:
1. Create an errorstack of the ORA-1882 to see the ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE statement that is causing the ORA-1882 during deployment. To create this errorstack, follow step 1 to 4 below:
1. Just before you reproduce the error, open a SQL*Plus session with user SYSTEM.
SQL> alter system set events '1882 trace name ERRORSTACK level 3'
2. Deploy the mapping to reproduce the ORA-1882
3. Disable the system event
SQL> alter system set events '1882 trace name errorstack off';
4. Take a look at the errorstack (located in the udump directory). Suppose the following statement is in there:
ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = 'GMT+02:00'
2. Modify the run_service.sh(.bat) file as follow:
* For UNIX:
Modify owb_server_home/owb/bin/unix/run_service.sh as follows:
Add the parameter -Duser.timezone="+02:00" to the line where java is started (last line of run_service.sh)
$JAVAPATH/bin/java -Xmx768M -Djava.awt.headless=true -DORACLE_HOME.....
e.g:
$JAVAPATH/bin/java -Xmx768M -Duser.timezone="+02:00" -Djava.awt.headless=true -DORACLE_HOME
* For Windows:`
Modify owb_server_home\owb\bin\win32\run_service.bat as follows:
Add the parameter -Duser.timezone="+02:00" to the line where java is started
%JAVAPATH%\jre\bin\javaw.exe %JVM_OPTIONS%
e.g.:
%JAVAPATH%\jre\bin\javaw.exe -Duser.timezone="+02:00" %JVM_OPTIONS%
3. Save the file and re-start the Runtime Service using stop_service.sql/start_service.sql.
but in creating the errorstack of the ORA-1882 i not found the ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE
and i Modify the run_service i fixed -Duser.timezone="+01:00" cause the time zone here is Europe/Paris but there is no changes.
the db link is from Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 to 9.2.0.1.0. and owb 10g R2
other solution?
thanks,

Invalid change to class error when deploying EJB
We have EJBs that were built by Webgain Visual Cafe and successfully deploy
to WLS 5.1. We then use the WLE EJB Deployer Tool to build WLE container
classes and deploy the same EJBs in WLE 5.1.
One EJB does not deploy in WLE. The ULOG error message is:

ERROR: Invalid change to class service.Request
133929.EA-LAWSTUC!JavaServer.517: Finalizer: IJENGINE_CAT:152: INFO: Closing
jar C:\aj\ServiceEJB_WLE.jar
Does anyone know what can cause an "invalid change to class" error when
deploying to WLE 5.1? Especially since the EJB deploys successfully in
WLS.
Carl LawstuenReason: database keeps a reference of the class in JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE table. This table keeps a refrence to all java classes loaded in database, and is present in each schema you deploy classes. That's the reason why if you change the application module name, you can load this classes. It instead keeps a reference if you use DROP JAVA CLASS command to drop a java class from de database. Use DROP JAVA command to clear the reference of the dropped classes when dropping it.
You can see this table as a class dictionary of the database, and you don't have to handle this records manually. -

are not affected by the termination.
I have BW 3.5.
Thank You very much. There are a few different scenarios that I can think of where this might come up that all involve what might resulting in parallel (concurrent)processes:
Loading packets in parallel - that is there are X number of processes loading packets concurrently. This could be set in your IMG settings system wide or in the InfoPackage for just this datasource. You seem to indicate that you don't have this.
Database parallel processing - RSAMDIN - ORA_PARALLEL_DEGREE ( there was a different RSADMIN parm for older versions - forget what SP the change came with).
You have multiple InfoPackages for the datasource, each loading what should be a different range of data, and they run atthe same time.
You could be loading from two different datasources to the ODS at the same time.
If any of these are true, I would look at bumping the INITRANS setting up. Your DBA will probably need to do this for table and its indices. There is a Note - 831234 that allows you to create a parameter in RSADMIN that will specify a INITRANS value (e.g. 20) rather than using the default. The ODS would need to be activated to pick this new setting up for the table to be altered.
You could also look at the Processing settings for the InfoPackage and change to PSA first, then target to see if that helps.
Or if you are loading from two different datasources at the same time, you might adjust your schedule so that doesn't happen.

Hi,
The program which is running as background was running for last 1 year, last two days the RFC call in the program is dumping.

SM58 : Internal error when accessing a table
Hi there,
We have just upgraded from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0. After the upgarde we face many "Internal error when accessing a table" in sm58. Is there any table mapping mismatched happened during unicode conversions? How to check the details? Most of the errors are SWW_WI_EXECUTE_INTERNAL_RFC, SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF and etc which are workflow modules.
can you help?
Thanks.

ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services
Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?
Thanks in advance
Paul-Mariethe ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
Or
AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..
This Problem Occurs when we select The Bulkloading Option in orclae We also faced the same issue,Our admin has Killed the session. Then everything alright. -

MFG_LOOKUPS 은 view로 fnd_lookup_values의 lookup_code값을 가지고 오는

이와 같은 에러를 발생한다.
이번 경우, 고객이 새로 등록한 Lookup code였고, code값을 숫자의 format으로
다시 등록하니 해결됨.

BTW, look at what else I have just found:
INSERT INTO Local_Table (a, b)SELECT col1, col2 FROM DUAL INNER JOIN Table1@remote ON (1=1) LEFT JOIN Table2@remote ON (...)
