Method is executing 2 times

Hi,
Every method of a standard webdynpro application is called 2 times including WDDOINIT of component controller. I tested it from se80 as well as from portal. It is a standard SAP Webdynrpo application.
I put a break point in WDDOINIT of comp controller and I need to press F8 2 time to get out. Again in next method I press F8 2 time t
What can be the reason for this?

Hi Saravanan,
I am  calling this component directly from my application. This component is not used anywhere. The component name is : ERC_C_REQ_MGMT_UI and the application name is: erc_a_req_mgmt
I am calling an application configuration ERC_A_REQ_MGMT to execute it.

  • Process request method executing multiple times issue

    Hi ALL,
    In my controller code , process request method is executing multiple times and inserting multiple data into the table, can any body help me how to resolve this issue.
    I have the below code in my process request:

    Below code written in AM:
    public void InsertRecord()

            vo.setMaxFetchSize(0);
            XXDPECONTAINERVORowImpl row = (XXDPECONTAINERVORowImpl)vo.createRow();
            oracle.jbo.domain.Number empNum = (oracle.jbo.domain.Number)getOADBTransaction().getSequenceValue("XXDPE_CONTAIN_SEQ");

            vo.insertRow(row);
            row.setNewRowState(row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    Please help me out.

    hi,
    PR() will be called whenever your page will load, so the number of times you will load your page all the time your PR will be called and it will call the AM method.
    otherwise put some condition and call the insert method from your PR.

  • Web Service executing multiple times

    We are noticing an ongoing problem with web services both consumed in SAP as well as web services published in SAP and consumed via .NET applications.  In both cases, we are occasionally seeing examples of a single web service method calls executing multiple times.  For example, one of our methods in our SAP generated web services inserts records into a custom Z table.  We are noticing that for a single invocation of the web service, data records are appearing multiple times in the custom table.  We have placed code inside of the function in SAP to catch these multiple executions, but the code does not recognize the duplicates because most likely, the commit from the previous execution has not yet occurred.  We have time stamped the inserts into the table and can see that they do not have the same time.  Our web services are being created in SE80.  My guess is this is some sort of caching issue.  Has anyone run into a similar problem?  We are using NetWeaver 7.0 and SAP ECC 6.0.

    Hi Developers,
    I have the same question, is it possible to have multiple outgoing parameters?
    When not, does SAP Netweaver knows a IN-OUT parameter? Because I found on the internet that it is possible to have a IN-OUT parameter. But that was with the BEA Weblogic 8.x.
    When not, is then the only solution to return a object? With in this object all the parameters you want.
    Or otherwise is there a other workaround?
    Thanks in advance,

    As an alternative (and looks like better approach), you could use the ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor.

  • WDDOINIT method executes every time when returning to View

    We are making Enhancements to the Travel Expense WDA. (Package: PTRM_WEB_UI)
    When creating a New Expense Report, the WDDOINIT method is being executed only once each time the View is displayed.  This is what is expected.
    When changing an existing Expense Report, the WDDOINIT method is being executed each time the view is displayed.
    The Lifetime Property of all of the views are set to "framework controlled".  It seems like when in change mode, the lifetime property of the views is acting as if they were set to "when visible".
    Is there some way that this property is being dynamically changed when in change mode?  Does anyone know if SAP intended the Travel Expense WDA to act this way when in change mode?
    Any help or insight regarding this issue would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    It could be that there are multiple component usages and that this view belongs to an inner component. The parent component could call DELTE_COMPONENT on the component usage if no views from that componet are currently visibile.  This is done for memory manage as there is no garbage collection of compoonent instances at runtime. This would have the effect that the WDDOINIT would be called again if the component is used again/the view is reshown. I have seen complex internal applications that use separate components for each tab for instance.  When the tab switch occurs, they perform a DELTEE_COMPONENT.  This can have a significant positive impact on the memory consumption of the session. This could explain the behaviour you are seeing.

    in am i implemet the code :

    method is working fine but it is executing two times.
    when each time executes values are inserted into tables , so that table contains duplicate values.
    can any one please help me why this method is invoked two time, how can i resolve this issue.

    once the page is loaded method is executed automatically two times.
    i used if condition but still it is not effected.

  • Action is executing multiple times

    Hi Experts,
    I am using an action for a service transaction in which a method is called APPROVE_RFC_VIA_WF - the method triggers a workflow, but the action runs multiple (6) times, 6 workflow items are created and 6 emails are triggered likewise.
    I restricted the action to only one executable/successful action and it works ! Only 1 email and 1 workflow item is created, but then the workflow item is not executed !
    Please I need help on this, thnx.
    Regards.

    Another action definition was restricted to execute 5 times which was somehow effecting the workflow action definition
    Adjustments were made to both definitions so that both would give correct results.
    Regards.

  • JSP is executed 2 times

    Hello to everybody. I have a problem using the OutputStream of the response object in a jsp. I use the page to show a pdf document that it's created from a method of a bean. The response.getOutputStream is a parameter of the method and it writes the exit in the OutputStream directly.
    The code is more or less this:
    response.setContentType("application/pdf");
    ServletOutputStream sos = response.getOutputStream();
    // The OutputStream is sended to the method
    consPdf.StringToPdf(stringXml, sos);
    sos.flush();
    sos.close();
    It does well, but the problem is that the page is executed 2 times and the execution time is duplicated. Anyone knows why?
    Thanks.

    Hi
    This is Explorer bug. It detects that data type is PDF and then it reads the PDF again.
    One solution is to enable IE cache (set some response headers) so it will cache a PDF.
    best regards,

  • CommandLink in dataTable rendered method is called multiple times

    I have a dataTable in which one of the columns contains a commandLink. The commandLink has the "rendered" option bound to a backing bean method. When the page is submitted, the backing bean method gets called 8 times for each row in the table if the value returned is "true" and 3 times per row if the value returned is "false". Since the page is designed to "navigate" back to itself, I can understand it getting called more than once, but 8 times??? What's up with that?

    Because you have a bug in your code.

  • GetNext() of Disassemble Stage is executing two time

    why GetNext() of Disassemble Stage is executing two times ?I checked it in event log.
    Prakash

    GetNext method returns all the messages created out of Disassemple method.
    Returned message it passed to next pipeline stage or message box as configured. GetNext method is called repeatedly as long as it returns some IBaseMessage type. Repeated calls stop only when
    GetNext returns null.
    So, the second call is when the
    GetNext returns null for you.

  • EjbActivate() and ejbPassivate() methods are called million times!!! :(

    Hello All,
    Am I missing some thing here?
    We have a project with many Entity Beans, and all of them have relations with one another. The simple example I can give is Entity A has one to many relation with Entity B.
    i.e There could be one Entity A and for this there could be many Entities B these two entities are managed by CMR fields.
    Entity A has a PK, this would act as a FK in Entity B.
    In the EJB Post create method of Entity B I am trying to find a suitable entity A and trying to execute setEntityA(suitableEntityA), while this method is getting executed here is the things that happen
    the container tries to find all Entity B (if there are 10,000 records in B table then ejbActivate() of B is executed 10,000 times) then it sets the relation with Entity A, then at the end of the Transaction the container will call ejbPassivate() method on Entity B 10,000 times!!! oh god what is happening here...!!!?????
    can some one tell me if I am missing some settings?
    The same thing happends for all the other EJBs which have one to many CMR fields, i.e ejbActivate() and ejbPassivate() of each of these Entity Beans will be called for those many number of times for as many records found in the Datbase of the corresponding Entity.
    I have the follwing setting in my orion-ejb-jar.xml file
    <entity-deployment name="EntityA"
    max-tx-retries="0"
    max-instances="-1"
    location="EntityA"
    table="A"
    data-source="jdbc/oracleDS"
    exclusive-write-access="false"
    locking-mode="optimistic"
    update-changed-fields-only="true"
    delay-updates-until-commit="true">
    similar xml construct for Entity B also!!!
    If some one knows more about this please let me know.
    Thank you

    Found one more thing for this CMP-CMR relationship and ejbActivate() and ejbPassivate() process of CMP Entity's.
    In this above example if say
    Entity A (Dept) ------ Entity B (Employee) (1:M) has one to many relationship
    Employee holds a FK value which is PK in Dept (dept_id).
    Suppose asssume that there are 10,000 employees working for a dept_id = 5.
    (i.e there are 10,000 records in Employee that references Dept table with dept_id =5)
    Now I want to add one more employee to this dept_id = 5, then I create an Employee entity and in the ejbPostCreate() method of Employee entity I lookup Dept Entity with Dept_PK=5, until this every thing is fine. Now I call setter method with in Employee Entity to set the dept such as setDept_dept_id(detpEntity5), at the execution of this method EJB container calls starts calling Employee Entity's the ejbActivate() method for 10,000 times this equals the number of references Employee table has to Dept table with Dept_ID=5, then at the end of the transaction the container calls ejbPassivate() method 10,000 times to passivate all those ejbs that it activated.
    Did some one experience the same thing with CMP EJBs? please let me know what I have to do to avoid such things?
    Thank you
    Mallik

  • Query on view - IS the querry executed each time view is referred?

    I want to know whether query inside a view is executed each time when the view is being referred?
    Also which on of below will be faster?
    select
         a1.x,
         a1.y,
         b1.z
    from
         TableA a1,
         TableB b1
    where
         a1.keyName = 'F' || b1.someKey
    OR
    cretae view myView as
    select
         'F' || someKey as anotherKey
    from
         TableB
    select
         a1.x,
         a1.y,
         b1.z
    from
         TableA a1,
         myView b1
    where
         a1.keyName = b1.anotherKey

    A view is just a stored query, so it has to be executed each time it is referenced in a query.
    The two queries should have identical performance. It might be vanishingly faster to parse the first query than the second, but I doubt you would be able to detect the difference.

  • Action method getting called multiple times.

    Hi All,
    The problem that I am facing is pretty weird.
    The issue is the i have an input field that takes date as input field.
    This field is inside a data taable
    FYI: I tried converter still same problem.
    So when ever I enter wrong data as "asda" inside this date field I get a validation error. which is good. So assume it took me 3 submit clicks to fix all my errors on the page.
    So now when I click the submit for the 4th time.
    The action method gets trigerred 4 times.
    Desperately waiting for a fix.
    Thank you in advance.
