"Method Summary" sort order same as source?

Is there a straightforward way to have the methods listed in the "Method Summary" section of a JavaDoc-generated class description listed in the same order as they appear in the source code? It appears that the "Method Detail" section they are listed that way, but how are the methods listed in the "Method Summary" section sorted? Alphabetically? Is there a JavaDoc option which can change this? Is there a doclet available which will do this?
Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi,
This could be easy done using DocFlextor for Javadoc: http://www.filigris.com/products/docflextor_for_javadoc/
Actually, to have a quick tool for solving such kind of problems was why this product has been developed in the first place !
DocFlextor for Javadoc allows to design your own doclets in the form of templates using graphic Template Designer.
Then, a special generator interprets those templates. The produced output is almost the same quality as the one generated by Javadoc (Standard Doclet).
In addition, besides HTML, the same templates can generate the RTF -- the superior quality (we never met anything similar!)
And that's not all about that. There is also TXT output -- a plain text. This allows to quickly program doclets generating almost everything you can imagine (as nearly all output formats, such as HTML and RTF, are basically the plain texts). Specifically, TXT output may be used to generated various XMLs by the data that Javadoc collects from Java sources. To make this, you will need to design a template, which takes the data provided by Doclet API and interchanges them with the XML markup tags specified in the template's Label Controls.
Of course, all this may sound rather complicated...
Yes, it will take some efforts to understand how DocFlextor works and to read documentation.
But so is with any new technology. (You wasn't born with innate knowledge of Java, for instance)
Once you have done this, you will have a power tool at your disposal for all those specific documentation customizations like the one you are asking about.

Leonid Rudy

  • IPhone no longer syncs playlists in the same sort order as iTunes

    iPhone 4 no longer syncs playlists in the same sort order as iTunes after iOS5 upgrade.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the feedback.  Yes, it is very frustrating.  That was one functionality that worked very well.  Not only is the sort within the playlist bad but the sorting of the playlists themselves is bad.  I used to use an undetscore "-" to sort some of my folders to the top of the play list of the most played playlists and that does not work either.  It ignores the underscore and just sorts on the alpha character.  Hope this gets fixed.

  • How to keep sort order in Shuttle item's source and destination boxes?

    I have defined a shuttle item on a page and the list of values in the source box is populated by a SQL with sort order specified. In the Settings of the shuttle item, Show Controls value is set to Moving Only instead of All. When a user moves selected values from the source box to the destination box or vice versa, the list of values does not maintain the original sort order. For example, if I have 26 values A through Z, a user can put value Z before A in the destination box. And when a user move A from the destination box to the source box, A is the last item in the source box. The reset button clears everything in the destination box and resets the source box to the original sorted list. This is not the solution that I am looking for. I would like to see the items in the source and destination boxes to maintain their original sort order all the time.
    Is it possible?

  • Sort Order on Iphone not the same as on Itunes

    Hi, after one of the recent Itunes updates I noticed the sorted order on my play lists is no the same on the phone.
    I like to sort by date modified so that my pod casts are in the proper order on the phone. I can work around this by manually picking the next podcast, but still the problem remains and is a software issue which should be fixed.
    So, anyone else notice this?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Yeh I've noticed the same thing, ever since this new iTunes update.
    Clearly in iTunes I have my songs sorted in alphabetical order but when I sync to my iTouch the same playlist in the iTouch sorts in a random order.
    My smart playlists in iTunes are sorted in alphabetical order, when I sync to my iTouch, all the songs muddle. Whereas normal playlist will sort in the order as I tell them to in iTunes, which follows up on the iTouch.

  • Sort Order Driven By Other Field In PowerView on a Relational Source

    Hi,
    Is there a way to sort an attribute in a chart by a different attribute that is not shown in the chart on a relational source (as e.g. possible with a PowerPivot table source where you can specify to use a different field as sort order)? I achieve the desired
    result as per below:
    but I of course don't want to show the sort order attribute in the chart.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Martin,
    Do you mean you want to sort the chart by a attribute that not shown in the chart and not in the datasource, right?
    Could you please descript the requirements more clearly.

    When I setup photos in a album in Aperture then sync the album to my iPad using iTunes to the Photos App, the images are sometimes
    several inages are placed in a different order in Photos than they are in Aperture
    Viewing them and setting up slide shows is uselees if I am not able to conrol the order I desire.
    I need to kow how to have them apper on the iPad "my way" if that is possible.
    In my work flow, images in Aperture are sorted by date, then a few recent edits that strip the original date are manually placed where they

    Thanks for your reply. This worked but it doesnt seem to be consistent.. not sure if the fact that I have a smart playlist based on another smart playlist (only because I want 5 anded conditions + 1 or'd which is playcount=0) and hence something goes wrong?

  • Photoshop CS3 web gallery bugs(?); vanishing metadata, bad sort order

    Running OS 1.5.4 on 24" Imac, I'm attempting to generate a "horizontal slideshow" from bridge-selected files in Photoshop CS3.
    [Sounded like the problem in this post: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b5a9fe/2 but on re-reading I've decided it's different so I'm giving it it's own thread, with more detail...]
    Here's my experience:
    1) Description and title show up for a second on the first slide, then revert to just the blank template on that and all subsequent slides (title: [blank] description: [blank]....
    Hitting "refresh" produces the descriptive metadata for a tantalizing moment, then it' s back to the blank template for this and all subsequent slides. It does this both for Safari and Firefox.
    You can view this behavior in a slideshow at http://oasisdesign.net/projects/earthtoilet/
    If it asks for a password, use---
    user:earthling
    pass: draf1 )
    "preserve all metadata" is checked.
    I've tried all combinations of checking/ unchecking "title, description, filename" for labeling...also, making slideshows with just one or two slides to reduce the chance that it's a weird character issue of the type some other folks have experienced...
    2) additionally, the web gallery is not respecting the manual sort order in Bridge, which is the source of the files. The help files say the slideshow should follow the manual sort order in Bridge.
    3) Finally, metadata entered in bridge metadata tab sometimes vanishes, sometimes metadata entered in file info wouldn't show in the metadata tab.
    Thanks for your help!!

    BTW, here's the related issues I found:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b5a9fe/2
    ...After some investigation, I found that the descriptions were disappearing only for photos that had a Return / Line Break in the description. If you go back and make sure all of your descriptions are a single line, it works fine....
    =Don't have line breaks, nor "and" nor &...
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bff9de1/0
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bd62ec3/0

    OK...here's the hack I used to get around what I'm now totally convinced are program bugs and shortcomings relative to advertised functionality, for anyone else who has to deal with this, followed by my (suggested fixes to Adobe)...
    1) Sort everything the way you want in bridge.
    2) Make meta descriptions w/o weird characters (a warning here would be helpful)
    3) Use "batch rename," with "copy to another folder" to give the images totally plain vanilla, DOS-style file names (001.jpg, 002.jpg...). This solves most filename issues and the works around web gallery's failure to recognize bridge sort order in one go. Note that you can irrevocably screw up the names of all your original files if you're not very careful to COPY at this step.
    ([a] make the bridge sort work directly, as advertised, por favor. [b] add an error message or warning about file names such as 006-(2).jpg causing malfunction. A compassionate, low-effort short-term patch for Mac users of web gallery, especially since bridge generates that particular sort name itself invisibly and automatically if you move a file with the same name into a folder)
    4) Use "white on black" instead of bug-ridden "horizontal slideshow" (horizontal slideshow should be fixed or deleted from the next version...multiple slideshow options would be awesome, as they advance automatically at the max rate the user's bandwidth allows, a very attractive feature)
    5) Restrict all images to the same height so users can click *in the same spot* to advance the 200 images with less carpal tunnel (the advance arrow should *always* be in the same spot, for every web gallery, IMHO)
    Web galleries are a fantastic tool for sharing information easily...I hope to see some evolution in those great automatic updates someday...

  • F101 - Sort Order

    The report displayed by this Transaction displays Documents from GL, AR and AP. The document display seem to be in no particlar order. May be it showing the AP documents grouped by the Cost Centre? But then what logic for the GL Documents? The dates are definitely not in sequence, nor the document numbers. If anyone has wondered about this or has wondered and found a Solution please do respond
    Thanks

    Hello
    Please find the documentation for this Tcode below:
    The sort processes are mentioned in this document. Go through them to establish a relationship.
    Short text
    Balance Sheet Supplement - OI - Analysis per &
    Description
    This report groups the receivables and payables according to a required list, for example, the "EU Guideline No. 4", and carries out transfer postings.
    Additional adjustment postings are necessary in the following cases:
    Customers with credit balances and vendors with debit balances
    Changed reconciliation accounts or partner (affiliated company)
    Display of investments
    All accounts that are managed on an open item basis are taken into account.
    Sorting of items
    The decision as to whether an account is sorted according to receivables or payables depends on the financial statement value of an account. This is the balance of the account per reconciliation account and remaining life. If several accounts are connected by the same trading partner, the joint financial statement value of the account group created determines the type of sorting. If the balance is positive, the account is sorted according to receivables, if the balance is negative, the account is sorted according to payables. You define the sort methods required in Customizing.
    Alternatively, several accounts can be summarized in a group whose joint balance is used for sorting. The definition for the corporate group is used as group definition for customers and vendors. For G/L accounts, there is a separate field in the G/L account master record.
    For credit memos with an invoice reference, the due dates are taken from the invoice.
    Vendors with debit balances and customers with credit balances are determined separately for each point in the sorted list, since only items with virtually the same remaining life may be balanced with each other.
    The documents are totaled under the current reconciliation account of the customer or vendor master record. If the reconciliation account is changed, the amounts are transferred from the old reconciliation account to the new reconciliation account.
    Investments
    In some countries (for example, France), investments must be displayed separately. You use parameters to select this additional display. The investments are then displayed as a total per reconciliation account and transferred.
    Postings
    For every transfer posting created, a reverse posting is also entered in the session. For reconciliation accounts in the customer or vendor area, postings are also made to an adjustment account.
    If you use a target company code, all items are summarized under the target company code and then processed. The company codes selected must be managed in the same currency however (for example, local currency, group currency).
    If you use an alternative valuation area, account determination for the transfer posting is carried out from the valuation area selected. Processing is carried out in the currency of the valuation area assigned (for example, US GAAP in group currency USD).
    Requirements
    If sorting is to be carried out taking into account foreign currency adjustments, you must first carry out the foreign currency valuation with program SAPF100. The field "Valuation for financial statement preparation" must be selected.
    You require a sort method to sort open items. Maintain a method.
    In order for program SAPF101 to carry out the adjustment postings required, you have to define the adjustment accounts, and the accounts for displaying the receivables and payables according to remaining life, as well as the customers with credit balances and the vendors with debit balances in the system.
    Where reconciliation accounts have been changed, check the accounts for the transfer posting.
    If the investments are to be displayed and posted separately, you also have to define the appropriate accounts.
    The posting keys required are already contained in the standard system.
    Output
    The items that have been read and sorted are displayed in the main list.
    The posting list displays the postings that have been entered in the batch input session.
    The notification lists informs you of errors and other incidents.

  • Custom Sort Order in Dropdown list of translate values

    Peoplesoft sorts the dropdown translate values in ascending order by default. I wanted to change the sort order. For example:
    The translate values in alphabetic order are:
    Andrea
    Baluch
    Others
    Shumi
    I want this "Others" as the last value. So the drop down should display like this:
    Andrea
    Baluch
    Shumi
    Others

    From a document I had created ...
    This odd behavior of PeopleTools however can be overridden by implementing a few lines of JavaScript and PeopleCode.
    The approach is quite simple and summarized briefly as below:
    1.     Concatenate the value-description pairs of the dropdown list into a single string separated by a pipe “|” as delimiter (in case other delimiter is used the script shown below in Step 4 has
    to be accordingly modified) in the sequence in which it should be displayed on the page.
    2.     While concatenating, make sure to place the value first and then the description, these being separated by the delimiter. Example: “01|”|”January”|”02|”February” …and so on.
    3.     Pass this string as a parameter to an HTML definition through a GetHtmlText function. This HTML definition in turn will a have a JavaScript logic to resolve this delimited string into
    meaningful value-description pairs and use them to override the intended dropdown list.
    Below are the steps in detail:
    Step 1:
    Find out the html element-id for the dropdown field from the html source-code of the PeopleSoft page from the browser. In HTML, the tag for a dropdown field is <select> </select>
    The element-id is set by the id attribute of the <select> tag. This id would be used in Step 5.
    Step 2:
    Add a field of type Long Character to any work record that you may be using on your page for buttons, hyperlinks, etc.
    Step 3:
    Add an HTML-Area to the page (preferably alongside the dropdown field which needs need to be sorted). In the properties of the HTML-Area, assign the Record-field used in Step 2 above.
    Step 4:
    Create a HTML definition from the app-designer and add the below JavaScript code to it and save the definition.
    <script>
    var j=0;
    var str=new String('%bind(:2)');
    ar1=str.split("|");
    var fld = document.getElementById("%bind(:1)");
    fld.options.length = 0;
    fld.options[fld.options.length] = new Option('', '');
    while (j<ar1.length)
              fld.options[fld.options.length] = new Option(ar1[j+1], ar1[j]);
                    j=j+2;
    </script>
    Step 5:
    Write peoplecode on an appropriate event to generate the concatenated string of value-descriptions delimited by a pipe “|”. A pseudocode for the same is shown below. Here the HTML id for the dropdown field and the value-description string are passed as parameters to the JavaScript shown in Step 4; and JavaScript thus created after substitution of the Bind values is assigned to the value of Record.Field used in Step 2 & 3. The location of the below peoplecode may vary depending on the when the dropdown list needs to be sorted.
    Local string &strDropdownValues;
    &strDropdownValues = "1|" | "January|" | "2|" | "February|" | "3|" | "March|" | "4|" | "April|" | "5|" | "May|" | "6|" | "June";
    <Record.Field>.Value = GetHTMLText(<HTML.DPS_DROPDOWN_HTML>, "<DROPDOWN_ID>", &strDropdownValues);

  • 160Gb iPod Classic - Coverflow Sort order

    I have posted a similar forum topic on iLounge and I am really surprised at the lack of response and given that this issue may/must affect the iPhone and Touch that more people are not discussing it.
    My problem is this, I have purchased a 160Gb Classic and have found no way to replicate in iTunes the sort order that Coverflow uses within the iPod.
    Some have said that that the iPod coverflow sort order is Album by Artist (separating compilations) but using this method of sorting the coverflow within iTunes although comes close does not replicate what the iPod is doing with it's sorting of coverflow.
    So.
    Can anyone tell me if anyone / Apple have produced some documentation on how they currently and plan to expose tagging with iPods? I don't mind re-tagging my tracks again if necessary but want to be sure that I am not wasting my time.
    Do Apple intend to allow Coverflow to have the sort basis used by Coverflow to be chosen within the iPod? The 'Album Artist' tag would make more sense to me than the current method being used.
    The greatest strength that the iPod and iTunes has in my opinion is the ability to sort very large databases of music and allow singular tracks to be found quickly, the issue described above with Coverflow does not mean the end of the world but is concerning that Apple have allowed what appears to be a flawed product and methodology through their usually very high standards.

    In iTunes the coverflow view can be reordered by selecting a column heading to sort by - there is no ONE coverflow order. The iPod coverflow view corresponds to the ordering Album by Artist in ascending mode. In addition, the various versions of the firmware up to V1.03 fail to correctly gather albums via the Album Artist field although iTunes does. This can cause duplicate albums to appear when one principal artist has more than one album and some of the tracks feature guest artists. This behaviour can currently be corrected by setting the Sort Artist field in affected tracks to the value of the album's Artist. Hopefully a future firware update will correfct this. Another minor glitch is that the album will be credited to the artists that feature on the first track rather than the Album Artist. (V1.03 corrects this for Compilations only.)
    Another bug/feature means that where the same album title is used by more than one artist, both albums will feature all the tracks from both albums and the wrong artwork may be displayed. This also happens in iTunes. The workaround is to give each album a unique title by, for example, appending or prepending the name of the artist.

  • Sort Order: Case insensitive... move NULL to end of list

    Hello All,
    I am trying to sort a set a values, and NULL is a possible value. In the report I am displaying the NULL as EMPTY (I cannot leave that as NULL). I was wondering if there is a way to display this 'EMPTY' value as the last element in the list.
    I tried to append various ASCII characters in front of it, but nothing seems to work. Even is if enclose it in parenthesis, is does alphabetical sort.
    Is there a work around ?
    Thanks for your time !

    Nemi, Deborah,
    According to SAP Note 1200528 - Web Intelligence does not utilize special characters when sorting, this 'issue' is by design and not by design.
    The following is a copy-paste from the note:
    Symptom
    When attempting to sort a Web Intelligence document on a particular column, special characters such as "-" or "." are not respected.  For example, add the following into a database and then create a Web Intelligence report.
    a-Austria
    a-Austrailia
    a-Belgium
    a B-Argentina
    a B-Brazil
    a B-Egypt
    When you sort this data in Web Intelligence it appears as:
    a-Austria
    a-Austrailia
    a B-Argentina
    a B-Brazil
    a B-Egypt
    a-Belgium
    Cause
    This behavior is by design. For Enterprise XI Release 2, the Lexicographical order of the International components of Unicode has been implemented. This order sorts with respect to the language set for a data source.  This means that if we modify the sort order for English, other languages that we support will also have changes in their sort order.  In this case we must do our best to respect all the languages that we support.
    For more information please go to http://icu.sourceforge.net/
    Resolution
    To work around this behavior, complete one of the following:
    Workaround 1:
    Create a formula on the field such as
    "=Replace([Col001];"-";" ")"
    This will replace the - with a space although for this example the sort will be in the same "wrong" order, it will look much nicer.
    - or-
    Workaround 2:
    Create a custom sort:
    1. Select the section cell or table cells you want to sort.
    2. Click the down arrow next to the Apply/Remove Sort button on the Report toolbar then select Custom... from the drop-down list.
    Best,
    Srinivas

  • Report Queries are using different sort order

    Hello,

    Apex 3.1.2

    <query1>AABBCC<\query2>

    <query2>XXYYZZ<\query2>
              <\ROWSET2_ROW>
    content always the same rows.
    Apex is doing some strange things here. Sometimes my queries are executed in a different sequence.
    So the output is like
    DATA>
         <ROWSET1>
              <ROWSET1_ROW>
    <query2>XXYYZZ<\query2>

              <\ROWSET2_ROW>
    How can i fix the sequence of my source queries??
    Any help is welcome!!
    bye
    Volker Strasser

    I found the solution.
    Anychart seems to have a problem with null values!
    The corrupted sorting only occured for a specific set of search criteria and a specific day. At this day some values have been null.
    I added a "nvl( [...], 0) for every value.
    No I get a correct sort order.

    This is open source, bro. You can't make anybody do anything, but you might encourage some admin to ban you if you willfully break rules. If you can't break open the source and fix the problem yourself (which is surely the most speedy solution!), you're better off following community procedures and being as helpful as possible. Otherwise you'll just be excluded and ignored.

    "The sort order specified for distinct count records is incorrect."
    I have no idea what this means - any ideas?

    I had the same problem and your fix worked.  In more detail, the problematic field was contract_no.  I added a named calculation to the table in the Data Source View with the formula CHECKSUM(contract_no).  Then I created the distinct count measure on that named calculation.  And, lo and behold, the errors disappeared!
