Method which fills bol entity?

hi Experts,
                I have created many interaction record which are linked to1 service ticket.I fetch the guid values of these interaction records,now i want to set a field in the interacton record for all tehse guids.Is there any method available which will take the guid and give me its entire record (ie all fields) in some BOL entity or  any other way with which i can set the filed value of the IR's when i have only their guids available.
Answers will be rewarded.

Hi,
    Interation record BOL node is part of BT BOL model and it only has a result object
BTQResCuHist
The attribute structure of BTQResCuHist is
CRMST_QRESCUSTHIST_BTIL
. You can call
get_attributes
method in
modify_objects or maintain_attributes
method for your objective to get details of each IR as follows -
  CALL METHOD ir_object->get_attributes
    IMPORTING
      es_attributes = ls_changed_attr.
where ls_changed_attr is of type CRMST_QRESCUSTHIST_BTIL.
Similarly,
You can call set_attributes method to set the required value as follows -
        CALL METHOD ir_object->set_attributes
          EXPORTING
            is_attributes = ls_new_attr.
I hope this will solve your issue. Reward if helpful!
Thanks,
Sudipta.

  • ZBOL entry is not coming in BOL Entity

    Hi All,
    I have created 1 Z Component in SPRO-> Customer Relationship Management-> CRM Cross-Application Components-> Generic Interaction Layer/Object Layer-> Basic Settings. In the Object table and Model table i have created the entries for the Z BOL. I redefined the methods of the implementation class and tested the Component in genil_bol_browser, it is working fine.
    Now i have to link it to Web UI, so i am creating a new view in BSP Component, while creating new view, in Add Model Node step, in BOL Entity my Z BOL entry is not coming.
    How it will come over there in the BOL Entity list ?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Finder method in container-managed entity bean

    Finder method of a container entity bean is taking the primary key class object of another entity bean. How to map this in the xml descriptor file weblogic-cmp-rdbms.xml for this type of beans.
    I am trying to deploy the jasmine computer store of Mastering EJB by EdRoman.
    I couldn't write the deployment file weblogic-cmp-rdbms.xml for Order Entity bean which uses CustomerPK as an argument in its finder method.
    Please tell me how to write this. I am trying on weblogic 5.1
    Thanx in advance
    Srivatsa

    hello,
    in container managed persistence, you specify on your xml file the name of your table. so the primary key you want to use have to be a foreign key in your table. otherwise i don't think that you can use a container managed persistence.

    All Business logic resides in session beans[Stateful or Stateless]..For stateful beans we are opening connections in entity bean ,calling business methods and closing connection in entity bean itself..Problem is
    I am doing lookup for stateful and stateless both since both objects are called by extending MainBean in same entity bean else will give null pointer exception..
    So whenever i call a Stateful or Stateless method from entity bean Which ultimately extends/calling MainBean and thereby calling home.create methods of stateful and stateless both..creating objects..Is this way fine or it will affect the performance?
    Do i need to segregate the Calls/invokation to Stateful / Stateless methods at entity bean level too..
    For ex:- Whenever i call Methodxyz() method ..at the same time it create 2 objects as its extending MainBean...i want to extend/create 1 object either of stateful or stateless one for stateful and stateless methods call respectively..
    See the code in entity bean is like
    public class EntityBean extends MainBean
    Public Methodxyz
    stfobj.MakeConn(); call to stateful method defined in stateful bean
    stlobj.getXyz();// call to stateless method defined in stateless bean
    stfobj.CloseConn(); call to stateful method defined in stateful bean

  • Locking Bol entity in Simple object

    Hi,
    I have created a Simple Object with a structure and have assigned the BOL entity to my custom view. Now if I want to lock the structure in event handing method, the locking fails. how can I lock the custom structure?
    Thanks,
    Nandini

    Dear Chicon,
    I made thread to sleep for checking the "Object Locking" functionality of OpenJPAEntityManager. My intention was to block the second thread when the first thread being locked when a concurrent access occurs. But it doesn't happened and code execution passed to thread sleep.
    I mean when 2 client access the same entity at same time (in same milliseconds) , and what happens to 2nd thread when 1st thread locks the entity object.
    I guarantee you that i started the 2nd thread before the 4sec time stamp given to the object locking. I tested it with a bigger timestamp, still it given concurrent blocking of the same entity bean.
    My question is why the object locking is not working with concurrent access to same entity bean from more than one thread???
    I think you get the correct question what i intended ????

    Open Mail preferences and select Accounts then MailBox Behavior. You probably need to unclick the safe draft to server.

  • Problem calling a method which takes a parameter from a table

    Hi guys,
    I'm very new to jsf and hope you can help me out.
    On my page i'm generating a list, which is working fine. now i want to add some commandLinks to the list entries. on click, i want to execute a bean method, which takes a parameter from the list, generates a picture and displays it on my page.
    here's a piece of code thats already working:
    <rich:dataTable var="data" value="#{pathwayBean.orgList}">
    <rich:columnGroup>
            <rich:column>
               <h:outputText value="#{data.name}" />
         </rich:column>
    </rich:columnGroup>
    </rich:dataTable>now, i want to replace the outputText with a commandLink, and execute a method with {data.id} as parameter. Unfortunately, the commandLink property "action" can only call bean methods with no parameter, or is that wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

    use actionlistener.
    here a typical code that works fine for me:
    (JSF 1.2)
    //Java
    private Integer selectedItemId=null;
         public void selectItem(ActionEvent event) {
              // Find the UIParameter component by expression
              UIParameter component = (UIParameter) event.getComponent().findComponent("itemId");
              // parse the value of the UIParameter component
              try {
                   selectedItemId = Integer.parseInt(component.getValue().toString());
                   // find itemBean here using selectedItemId
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   logger.error(e, e);
              logger.info(" +++ selectedItemId =" + selectedItemId);
         public String viewItem() {
                 //create view beans here
                 return "itemView";//return appropriate view.
    //JSF
    <h:column>
                             <h:commandLink     id="View"
                                                 action="#{itemListBean.viewItem}"
                                                       actionListener="#{itemListBean.selectItem}">
                                  <h:outputText value="select"/>
                                  <f:param id="itemId" name="itemId" value="#{itemBean.id}"/>
                             </h:commandLink>
                     </h:column>

  • How to get the class name  static method which exists in the parent class

    Hi,
    How to know the name of the class or reference to instance of the class with in the main/static method
    in the below example
    class AbstA
    public static void main(String[] args)
    System.out.println(getXXClass().getName());
    public class A extends AbstA
    public class B extends AbstA
    on compile all the class and run of
    java A
    should print A as the name
    java B
    should print B as the name
    Are there any suggestions to know the class name in the static method, which is in the parent class.
    Regards,
    Raja Nagendra Kumar

    Well, there's a hack you can use, but if you think you need it,Could you let me the hack solution for this..
    you probably have a design flaw and/or a misunderstanding about how to use Java.)May be, but my needs seems to be very genuine..of not repeat the main method contents in every inherited class..
    The need we have is this
    I have the test cases inheriting from common base class.
    When the main method of the test class is run, it is supposed to find all other test cases, which belong to same package and subpackages and create a entire suite and run the entire suite.
    In the above need of the logic we wrote in the main method could handle any class provided it knows what is the child class from which this main is called.
    I applicate your inputs on a better way to design without replicating the code..
    In my view getClass() should have been static as the instance it returns is one for all its instances of that class.
    I know there are complications the way compiler handles static vars and methods.. May be there is a need for OO principals to advance..

  • In bdc sessoin method which one is preferred synchronous or asynchronous..?

    hi could anybody tel me
    sessoin method which one is preferred synchronous or asynchronous..?
    what ll happen if we do other method..?
    foreground or background which one ll prefer..?
    what ll happen if we do otehr method..?
    thanx
    kals.

    Dear Kals,
    Synchronous or Asynchronous:
    If you need to process dependent transactions one after the other go for synchronous. Else, go for asynchronous.
    Asynchronous will have better performance.
    Ex:
    If you would like to process F.02. If it is successful process one more transaction using.
    Go for synchronous
    call transaction F.02 ........
    if successful.
       process one more dependent transaction.
    endif.
    If you just need to process F.02
    Go for Asynchronous.
    Background or Foreground:
    If there is a huge volume of data or no manual intevention is needed for background. If you would need manual intervention go for foreground.
    Performance would be better in Background.

  • Overriding a method which is protected

    I have written a subclass 'B' to a parent class 'A' which is in different package than the parent class, but one of the method (almost same as parent classes method) which i have overridden in the subclass invokes a method (which has 'protected' access) of other classes say class 'C' of parent class package which will not work due to visibility. What is the best way to over come this problem. I have to override the code which is in the parent class.
    a) Is it to create subclass of 'C' in the same package of class 'B' and override the method which is being called.
    b) Is it to name the subclass package similar to the parent class Package.
    Note : - Parent class package is in different project.

    If it's protected then either it was made that way for a good reason (to not let you invoke it, so -- success!), or not for a good reason (bad design).
    The simple answer is you can't invoke that method as it currently stands, as you already know due to the compile time error message you're getting. If you're in control of its design and actually do need it to be accessed from outside its own package, then make it public.

    You can update the database both synchronously and asynchronously. The program specifies the update type.
    Separate LUW (Logical Units of Work) for the transaction. The system executes a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement.

  • Proces chain decision with formula method: which proces chain is performing

    I want to know which chain is processing while i am in a decision. I made a decision in a proces chain. From that decision i call a formula. In that formula i call a method which i defined myself (client specific fomula/method). Now i want to know from which proces chain this method has been called. I tried the following ABAP statements in this method:
    IMPORT instance TO l_instance
    log_id TO l_logid
    chain_id TO l_chainid
    FROM DATABASE rspc_buffer(ab)
    ID i_chain.
    I found this statements in another SDN thread and from experience i know it works fine when you process normal ABAP in your proces chain.
    Unfortunately this does not work in a method from a decision. Maybe i need to access another table?
    Any suggestions?

    Ok, if you worry about that, let's do it in series...
    you create a local chain per IP/DTP (with link "if succesfull")...so you will have 10 local chains
    then create a big chain with these 10 local chain (with link "always")
    so, if a IP (eg of loacl chain 1) fails the DTP will not be triggered, the local chain 1 will go to status red, but as you put between the local chain option "always", the local chain 2 will start...and so on
    For inforamtion, I would put the attribute change run for the specific attribute in the local chain...this way you will only activate data of succesfull IP/DTP's...
    this way you should achieve what you aim for...

  • Process and Forms - Issue with Method which Uses Imported Form Values

    We are doing a project to implement ESS and MSS. Using Adobe Process and Forms we generated a process with form and workflow.
    The workflow's first step uses a version of TS17900110 task to move the form to the workflow container.
    Binding:
    export:
    &FORM_STANDARD& @0E\QAssign Value@ @9T\QGets data for...@ &FORM&
    'USER_ID' @0E\QAssign Value@ @9T\QGets data for...@ &FORM_FIELD_NAME_1&
    'PERNR' @0E\QAssign Value@ @9T\QGets data for...@ &FORM_FIELD_NAME_2&
    'AWART' @0E\QAssign Value@ @9T\QGets data for...@ &FORM_FIELD_NAME_3&
    Binding
    import:
    &EMPL_USERID.OBJID& @9S\QReceives data from...@ @0D\QAssign Value@ &FORM_FIELD_VALUE_1&
    &PERNR& @9S\QReceives data from...@ @0D\QAssign Value@ &FORM_FIELD_VALUE_2&
    &AWART& @9S\QReceives data from...@ @0D\QAssign Value@ &FORM_FIELD_VALUE_3&
    The workflow is bringing values for: EMPL_USERID, PERNR, AWART.
    We need to write these field values to a table using a method.  We are using a custom task to do this.
    The task triggers a method which calls a FM which makes the update to the table.
    The step with the custom task is a foreground step which the workflow stops for so we can test execute it.
    When we execute there is a breakpoint in the ABAP code which stopps us at the point where the values are being read.
    We are trying to read values:  'USER_ID', 'PERNR', and 'AWART' but the debugger is not showing any values being brought in.
    The binding we currently have for the step we feel is the problem:
    This is all we have in there so far - NEED suggestions/advice:
    Binding export:
    &ZABSREQ&     @0E\QAssign Value@     @9T\QGets data for...@     &_WI_OBJECT_ID&
    (&ZABSREQ& - This is a BOR)
    Any information is appreciated.

    We were very anxious to solve this issue.
    While I was posting my counterpart realized that we did not have target containers setup to receive the values from the workflow.
    Once those were set the values were able to be read from the FM.
    Here's the binding updated to:
    &EMPL_NUM&     @0E\QAssign Value@     @9T\QGets data for...@     &EMPL_NUM&
    &SUBTYPE&     @0E\QAssign Value@     @9T\QGets data for...@     &SUBTYPE&
    Still gave you some points for helping - Thank you.
