job_name = export_db
target_name = clustername
I need the hostname that finish the job.

hi,
I need the hostname of that cluster node that proceed the rman backup.
The TARGET_NAME in the MGMT$JOB_EXECUTION_HISTORY from the Enterprice Manager repository only shows the clustername.
I will create some twenty4seven bar diagrams with php/html witch hosts and when the backups are proceeded.
I need the hostname to sort them in the right way in php.

  • View mgmt$job_execution_history: what does status 17 mean?

    Hello,
I've created a PL/SQL-procedure to figure out if the scheduled jobs have been executed through the GridControl (sometimes the jobs just disappear - but that's another question I don't want to discuss here).
When looking at the view mgmt$job_execution_history I've noticed that most values of the column status get decoded - just the value 17 is missing (which can be found when selecting from that view).
Does anybody know what status 17 exactly means and where it is defined?
Find below the decode values of the column status:
    DECODE(status,
    1, 'Scheduled',
    2, 'Running',
    3, 'Failed Initialization',
    4, 'Failed',
    5, 'Succeeded',
    6, 'Suspended By User',
    7, 'Suspended: Agent Unreacheable',
    8, 'Stopped',
    9, 'Suspended on Lock',
    10, 'Suspended on Event',
    11, 'Stop Pending',
    13, 'Suspend Pending',
    14, 'Inactive',
    15, 'Queued',
    16, 'Failed Retried',
    18, 'Skipped', status)
    Any help will be appreciated...

  • Creating a system in portal with multiple instances of backend sys

    Hi all,
I am creating a system in the portal to my backend system(ECC6.0 with integrated ITS).I had a multiple instance backend system. The 2 instances are on two different boxes .The 2 instances have different ip addresses and hostnames. At a time only one instance will be active. We have a virtual ip and hostname for the Central instance.
In this case how to create the system so that the portal can switch from one instance to other while it is changed at the backend.
The major issue is how to fill the ITS properties while creating the system.Which hostname I have to give.
    First instance hostname : eccprd1.XXXXXX.com
    Second instance hostname :eccprd2.XXXXXX.com
Vitual hostname of central instance : eccsap.XXXXX.com
    Any suggestions please.
    Thanx and Regards,

    Hi,
You can use the Dynamic Link Library SAPSSOEXT
    Check out this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/12/9f244183bb8639e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
This should be applicable to any intended scenario.
    Summary of Steps
    1. Download file
    2. create application as shown in sample file.
    3. Import verify.der and install it in your local server , in the place specified in your application(.NET)
    4. Run the planned scenario. The page(.NET Page) that will be initially accessed from SAP Portal should run your program or have that code , so that it can authenticate it without requesting userid and password.

  • Problem with OAS Instance Name y Host Name to create trial ssl certificate

    Hi, everyone
I have a problem when creating a trial ssl certificate from Verisign page, affer a live assistance, that page rejected my CSR generated from OAS, saying thay my common name has invalid characters.
My Oracle Application Server installation name: Instance.HostName is:
    IAS_IND01.ind-internet
So, Verisign told me this name can't contain "_" or "-" characters for example.
I need to know if it's possible to change the instance name and if OAS host name changes also if i change server's host name.
I wouldn't like to reinstall all over again.
    Please help.
    Regards
    David

    Hi,
No your AS server will not automatic. even if you change your host name.
If U 'll try to change your host name, be carefull when U 'll try to start you AS instacne
it ' not start anymore , AS user hosts fill to get full quallified name of your host.
    U 've two choices
-1 delete your AS, then change your hosts name, then new installtion of AS
2- If U 've exprience with AS, just breng your AS down, change your hosts name,
U 'll need to do some changes in your AS, just read admininstrator Guide.
    Cheers,

  • Central Instance in a Windows2008 MSCS with Oracle

    Hello,
I have just finished the installation of a SAP Solution Manager with MSCS on Windows2008 and Oracle. This is my first MSCS, so I'm a little bit confused. I think almost all the things work right except the central instance. i explain:
I have the first node (node1) and the second node (node2) working fine. To check the MSCS installation, I shutdown node1 and make remote logon in node2 to see what's happening. And there are two remarkable things:
1.- Service/Instance SAP<SID>0 allways fails. If I startup it manually it works fine --> I suppose I have to add somewhere a retry after a delay.
2.- The central instance <hostname>20 doesn't exist in node2. So I cannot logon because there is no central instance. I only have the central instance in node1. I have read several times the documentation of the installation and I haven't found anything about installing the central instance in the additional MSCS node. It only says about the two options of the central instance installation: On a MSACS node or in a host outside MSCS (Not our case). Have I understood right?
Besides, I think the java instance is wrong too, I only have it in the first MSCS node.
    Any help?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Ana

    Hello Ana,
    > 1.- Service/Instance SAP<SID>0 allways fails. If I startup it manually it works fine --> I suppose I have to add somewhere a retry after a delay.
check the property of SAP Service/Instance resource, under advanced tab, is "restart" option ticked with threshold and Period
    defined.  e.g threshold =  3,  Period = 900 seconds
Your understanding is correct, The ABAP central instance (now without the message and enqueue servers) is generally installed locally on one of the cluster nodes with a second, identically configured dialog instance on the remaining cluster node. You can find more information in the installation guide.
As message server and enqueue is running on ASCS, the central instance is not required in order to logon to SAP system.
If you have issue logon to system when central instance is not running, please check you have at least one dialog instance started besides the ASCS instance.
    Best regards,
    Qingqing Wang

Can anyone suggest me the possible cause of the same.

I don't know which version of 'emca' you invoke, my output is very different (only the first lines):
emca [operation] [mode] [dbType] [flags] [parameters]
    -h | h | -help | help: prints this help message
    -version: prints the version
-config dbcontrol db [-repos (create | recreate)] [-cluster] [-silent] [-backup] [parameters]: configure Database Control for a database
Check whether you really invoke 'emca.bat' out of %ORACLE_HOME%\bin.
But - my version is 10.2.0.5, I'm not sure , but possibly Oracle changed the syntax. Starting with 10.2.0.4 some 11gRx elements were introduced.
    Werner
Looking again on your output, now I would say, you invoke the 10gR1 version.

  • Problem starting ES Builder in PI 7.10

Just installed PI 7.1 in a sandbox environment with Windows Server 2003 SP2 and MAXDB.  I have also followed the post-installation steps in the installation guide.  So far everything works except the Enterprise Service Builder.  When I clicked on the Enterprise Service Builder, it prompted me to login.  I logged in with the <sys>super account, and then a pop-up window shows following message: Cannot connect to server using message server: ms://hostname:8101/P4
Below is more detail of the error.  I have searched in SDN but not finding anyone else having same issue.  I found an ESR Master but itu2019s for CE 7.1.  Appreciate any help on how to resolve this issue.

    Farooq,
Thanks for the quick reply.  I do not recall putting any port number like 8101 during the installation.  I think below is the key error message from the error log.  It may be FQDN related.  Did you have similar experience?

  • System Landscape directory not available error,

I am still a beginner, and I am having some slight trouble understanding, what tools would be needed, and how to install. I am using the forums.
We have the MII Discovery Server up and running.
    NWDS Server installation is done.
We have the MII track ready to be used for Development(SLD URL is available) , Userid and password available
I am working on installing the NWDS 7.3 Developer Workspace.
Would I also need to do NWDS Server install on my laptop?
    Would these steps be sufficient?
    1. Download and install JDK 1.6
    2. Copy the file nwds-extsoa-7.3-SP00-PAT0000-win32.zip from:
    <your download location>\51039309\DATA_UNITS\JAVA_IDE\distros\com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.distribution.complete.extsoa\8.30.0.101020102100
    to a convenient folder.
    3. Extract the content and you will have a folder with name eclipse.
    4. Launch the Netweaver Developer Studio from folder eclipse, you may want to create a shortcut on the Desktop.
    5. If you haven't maintained JAVA_HOME property or if it's pointing to some other java version, eclipse will complain about it. In the dialog window locate the JDK 1.6 installation. Path to JDK 1.6  should be something like
    C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_25\bin
    6. Restart the NWDS after this and select a suitable workspace.
    7. Set the run time engine in NWDS, by going through the menu path:
    Window->Preferences->SAP AS JAVA
    Question:
    1. I am unable to Set the run time engine in NWDS, please could  you give me details steps with what I would need to enter for Instance Hostname and Instance Number...etc
    2. As part of Development installation do I have to Modifying the Logon Page? Do I have to go thru the Server installation in order to start developing on eclipse environment?
I do not have the war file. How do i  Copy the war file tcsecumelogonui.war from
    <Installation drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.logon\servlet_jsp\logon_ui_resources\tcsecumelogonui.war
    3. System Landscape directory not available error,
In the Component Browser when I right click and select New u2013 Development Configuration u2013 Import From System Landscape Directory (SLD) u2013 Next (Enter UserID and Password)
    Thank you

    Hello,
For the SLD error, please,  configure SLD following as per this docuemtnation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/bb/c2b6421a75da11e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Regarding the settings to enter NWDS to connect to AS Java, you have to enter the java instance data so that NWDS can connect to it in order to make deployments, etc....
Please, see also the following documentation that explains stp by step how to work with NWDS.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fe/a3996fa314f94f8a0c3475b08636d0/frameset.htm
    I hope this helps you.

This should work, unless you didn't restart the host instance that control your Receive Port.
There can be many reasons for this error. First of all try the KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888498 .
Then try the solution on this link http://bluebiztalk.blogspot.com/2008/05/file-transport-does-not-have-readwrite.html

  • Using LMS 3.2 to setup switches for archive config

Is there a way in LMS 3.2 to setup switches for using the archive config feature such that the filename could be automatically set to be the switch mgmt address or hostname?
    So for the below example:
    archive
    log config
      logging enable
      notify syslog contenttype plaintext
    path disk0:switch01.archive
    write-memory
    time-period 1440
Would there be a way to set (I'm guessing in netconfig) "path disk0:switch01.archive" with something like "path disk0:$HOSTNAME.archive" or "path disk0:$IP.archive" ?
    -Dave

Nevermind. Figured out that there are variables in the path that I can use for this:
    $h - hostname
    $t - timestamp
    archive
    log config
      logging enable
      notify syslog contenttype plaintext
    path disk0:$h-Backup-$t
    write-memory
    time-period 1440

  • Skype server IP address required

    Hi,
I need to use skype in a restricted ( Only certain ports are enabled) network. As per the current network settings, all skype service ports except 80 and 443 are disabled. So this cause even skype login is difficult. If I enable all ports above 1024 then skype works. But I can not use it as a permanent solution. I would like you to share me the skype server IP address and and the ports which use. So that I can create an additional policy in my UTM (Fortigate80C) by adding exception to skype ports and skyper server IPaddess/FQDN.
    Regards,
    Jithin

    SQL> select host_name hostname from v$instance;

  • DB13 on distributed system ECC 6 EHP 4 Solaris - Oracle error

    Dear all,
I have a new ECC 6 EHP 4 ABAP only distributed system installation on Solaris 10- Oracle 10 platform. Kernel version 7.01.
Let call application/CI hostname = apphost
and DB Instance hostname = dbhost
I tried to set up DBA job (checkdb, update statistic, backup) via DB13, but its always end with error like this:
Can't exec external program (No such file or directory)
External program terminated with exit code 1.
RFC SAPXPG_DBDDEST_dbhost settings are like this:
    Program : /sapmnt/KCP/exe/sapxpg
    Target host: dbhost
    Gateway host: apphost
    Gateway service: sapgwxx
I have set rhosts on both server already.
    Shell : sh
Looks like it cannot find executable program when try to do it remotely.
    Please help..
    Thanks
    Fendhy

Sorry, i mean the Shell is /bin/sh
I tried to follow this Note 1025707 - DBA Cockpit planning calendar and remote Oracle databases and tried to set up the scenario using rsh.
I copied all brtools files to home dir of <sid>adm on dbhost and tried again on DB13.
It can find the br*tools executables but now it show error :
BR0152E Environment variable ORACLE_SID is not set
So i got a clue for this error. I think since it was run on rsh, the environment variables weren't loaded for the rsh session.
Still searching to load this Environment variable on the rsh session.
