MICR location at bottom of printed page

I have been working with formatting RTF so that the MICR font string will appear in proper location at bottom of page but can not find how to over ride footer space allocation. I have set bottom margin to 0.17 and Layout/Footer to 0" and still there is space allowed for footer. If this can not be done, how does one use RTF for checks? MICR alignment will not be in spec. Does MICR tag go inside footer? HOW?

Hi,
I finally managed to do this. This is what is did.
1) I added a section break
2) Then I added "Last Page" only logic
<?start@last-page:body?> <?end body?>
3) Then I placed the check below this last page logic.
4) You may need adjust the footer height.
By definition anything immediately under the "Last Page" logic is printed on the last page. It works equally well for check printed on each page.
Try it if it works for you.

  • After deleting FF preference file, Footers are now located higher on all printed pages, causing some one-page emails to extend to a second page.

I upgraded my Mac OS to 10.6.8 to see if that would solve some of my FF hanging issues. It did not. So I decided to try deleting the preferences file as suggested in the Troubleshooting section to see if that would help. Unfortunately after deleting the prefs.js file per the instructions, on all my printed pages the Footers are now located significantly higher on the page than they used to be. They are located about 3/4" up from the bottom of the page, whereas before they were always located about 1/4" up from the bottom of the page. (Thankfully, the headers are in the same spot as before, 1/4" down from the top of the page.)
I don't understand how this happened to the footer placement in deleting the preferences. The placement/location of the headers and footers is not something that the user can adjust in FF Preferences or in the Printing window as a preference. Only the content of the headers and footers can be modified in the Printing window.
I am stumped as to how this occurred. Is there a way to restore the footer placement back closer to the bottom of the page? The higher location of the footer is causing many of my lengthier one-page emails to have to extend onto a second page which is a waste of paper and file space.

Try resetting the Page Margins to what you were using before deleting the prefs file.

  • Printing on the bottom of the page...

    Hi,
I'm working on a Dunning letter report that has a remit slip. The remit slip needs to always print on the bottom of the page. Is there a way to force a frame to always print at the bottom of the page.
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Navneet,
Thanks for the suggestion, but it worked the same way as when I anchored the objects from the top of frame B to the bottom of frame A.
There are two problems that make this a little harder then it looks. One of the problems is that this a modification to the Oracle Apps Dunning Letter report. We do not want to loose too much of the vanilla stuff. So the main repeating frame incloses everything. The second problem is that there is data in the bottom frame. So it has to be in the repeating frame or I can't show the data that I need.
Thanks for the try, but it seems like this is just something that Oracle can't handle. If it could I would think Oracle would have done it in the first place. Just my guess. I'm still open to try any other suggestions you have.
    Thanks,
    Tom

  • Can't reach the print button on the bottom of the page

When the page preview page appears, I can't reach the print button at the bottom of the page.

To use AirPlay, you will need the following:

Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)
    AirPort Express

  • Placing session variable on bottom of each printed page

I have an application that contains a page in which we use as
a printed report. We plan to convert this someday to a crystal
report but for now are only option is to use the web browser as our
    reporting page.
What I need is to know is if there is a way to code the page
so that the report id, which is stored as a session variable can be
printed out on either the top or bottom of each new page. The
report contains a lot of narrative, so it is impossible to tell
where the new page is going to begin and end because the length of
the narrative varies from 1 to 10 pages.
I don’t know if there is anyway to incorporate the page
setup from the browser settings, we are a state government, and we
are only using Internet Explorer 6.0 as our browser. The
application is using CF MX 7.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks.

I think I misunderstood. You have one long report and when
printed will be multiple pages. You need the report name to be on
    each page.
Three ways I can think of to do it.
First you can use the <title></title> to your
advantage. When printing from a browser the title is at the top of
each page. (though this can be turned off under browser options but
is on by default if I remember correctly).
    <head>
    <cfset report_name = "Dynamic Report Name">
    <title><cfoutput>#report_name#</cfoutput></title>
    </head>
Second, you can make the report name part of the URL so it
will appear at the bottom of each page.(this can be turned off too
    in browsers)
    www.mysite.com/reports/rpt_gen.cfm?REPORT_NAME=AGENT_MULDER_EXPENSE_REPORT_2005
Third, use an image as a watermark. You should probably make
the image 1/2 the height of the printed page. The background image
repeats. That way, you are sure it will appear somewhere on each
page printed. Width is another problem. But you may be able to
center the background image horizontally using css.
    <body BACKGROUND="images/report_proof_background.jpg" >
    * You might also want to check out using css with page
    breaks.

  • When I print a Word document to a shared printer, print preview looks fine but the printed page has too much blank space at the top and doesn't print the bottom few lines.

When I print a Word for Mac document to a shared printer (that is connected to my iMac) from my Macbook Pro, print preview looks fine but the printed page has too much blank space at the top and doesn't print the bottom few lines.  I have tried to adjust the margins and the page setup settings but to no avail.  It used to print fine until recently.  Is there a way to fix it so that the printer prints what print preview shows?

I should add that when I e-mail this document to myself and print it directky from the iMac, it prints fine.

Why do we have to install 2 add ins for something that should be built in? Please add this to the next version or an update to this one even. We should see the full path of a bookmark when we search for it. Show Parent Folder alone isn't enough if you have sub folders, so I installed Go Parent Folder as well in case of sub folders.

  • When printing to PDF from webpage, the pdf is compressed on the bottom of each page and markedly smaller print. How do I correct this?

When printing to PDF from webpage, the pdf is compressed on the bottom of each page and with markedly smaller print, the top of the page is fine. How do I correct this?

Open Contacts and click Preferences on the menu named Contacts. On the General tab of the Preferences window, select Show First Name: Before Last Name and then print. You can change that Preference back to the other way after printing if desired.

  • Why doesn't my HP deskjet x64 printer print to the bottom of the page

When I print a document it only prints upto about 3cm above the bottom of the page. I have tried changing margins on the documents abd the prints. i have tried selecting different options (eg legal document size which is bigger than A4)
I have tried a PDF and word document and nothing works.
Nothing on the HP help pages or printer settings shows anything that might be changed either.

  • Printing the username at the bottom of the page?

At our high school we are using an Xserve G5 (10.4.8 server) using Workgroup Manager with labs of eMacs (10.4.8 client) for our students. Is there anyway to have the students papers print out with their usernames on the bottom of the page so we know who is printing inappropriate materials?? We have HP LaserJet 4200's if it makes any difference.
    Thanks,
    Josh

We were looking for this too, but I don't think it exists. However, you can run your print jobs through your Mac Server and turn on print services. Then select the print queue to print a standard cover page. This will print out the username that they are logged in under before each print along with the name of the file/document they are printing.

  • How do you stop the printer cropping off the bottom of a page when duplex printing?

I've set my printer to borderless printing, and all other edges are ok, but the printer is not printing to the bottom edge. Is there anyway I can print duplex and right to the edge? I have a new HP officejet pro 8600
    Thanks

Unfortunately this didn't help. The printer has been set up correctly for wireless printing (also I have a PC, not a Mac). I have all of the page settings set correctly. The problem is that I am trying to print documents (concert programs) that have a black border that goes right to the edge of the page. So when I set the printer to borderless printing, three of the borders print correctly (right to the egde), but the bottom of the page stops about 1 cm from the edge.
Will it only be possible for me to print right to the bottom edge of a page if I remove the duplex attachment and only print single sided? If so that will be a big problem.

  • How can I turn off the url that continues to print at the bottom of the page?

Anytime I print, a URL appears at the bottom of the page. How do I turn this off?

It's not something that you turn off, there isn't a setting for it, you will just have to try to avoid touching the top part of the screen. Apart from that you can try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Will the web address show up on the bottom of the page when I print my forms?

I am still in preview mode, and am not ready to go live yet with my forms, but will be soon.  But when I am testing the forms and I print them, the web address prints on the bottom of the page.  Will this continue to happen when my forms are live and found on my website, or will a web address always show up on the bottom of the form when it is being printed?  We keep a lot of our forms in paper copy for records and it looks sloppy with that on the printed version.

The browser puts that there, not us. Check your print setup options.
You can also save out the form as PDF and print that.
