Look at RFC2446 it defnes the iCal format.
On page 58 it states:
the "DTSTAMP" property specifies the date/time that iCalendar object was created.

  • MBean classloading in Sun Java Application Server 9.0

    Hi,
    I am having a classloading issue when attempting to register my custom MBeans within the Sun Java Application Server 9.0 environment.
    The instructions say I can put either my classes or a Jar archive in domain_dir/applications/mbeans. When I put just the class files there it works fine. However, when I attempt to Jar those same class files (properly I might add) and put that Jar there it fails to find the mbean classes.
    Does anyone know anything about this?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Kedar,
    Thanks for the reply. Yes, I finally figured it out.
    The custom MBeans seem to work well for the most part though I don't know for sure if I'm using them in the way they were really intended.
    Basically, I want to run 'services' on my application server for the lifetime of the server. I want these 'services' to maintain things like runtime caching of information over time that is not persisted in a DB but needs to be kept around in active memory to be used at a later time, but only while the application server is up and running.
    Another thing I would like to do is have them receive JMS notifications directly, but I seem to be having trouble when subscribing as a consumer within my custom MBean. The topic thread on that is here:

  • Sun java calendar 6.3 to CALDAV migration problem

    Hi guys, could you help us?
    We tried to migrate users from calendar 6.3 to calendar 7U1 (formally known as calendar for CALDAV clients), but we were not successful.
    Users were located in LDAP (version 6.3.1 on Solaris 10 x64) and had values in LDAP in following format:
    dn: uid = user,dc=example,dc=com
    mail = user_name@domain
    Problem resides in following:
    1. start of migration:
    davadmin migration -a user@domain -F clifile -c
    2. in master.log (migration log) we saw
    [user_name@domain] Fetch of user preferences failed for user_name@domain -
    [user_name@domain] Migration did not complete successfully.
    Migration complete.
    3. in LDAP access log we saw, that first search with filter "mail: user_name@domain" was successful, but in following - second search we saw that uid is garbled - "uid=user@domain". User with "uid=user@domain" was not in LDAP. But after some trying we found out that the problem was in domain part. When we tried get_userprefs.wcap in browser with uid without domain part (uid=user) we got relevant information, because such entry existed in our LDAP.
    So the question is: Is there any way how to remove domain part from uid during LDAP search?
    Many thanks.
    LV.

    Hi guys, thank you very much for your answer.
    There is a typo in my previous post, in step 1, I'm sorry.
    We run migration with following command:
    davadmin migration -a user_name@domain -F clifile ..... (user is defined in format of "user_name@domain" - mail format and not in format user@domain how I wrongly wrote last time).
    Btw., when we use format user@domain ( format uid@domain) we get error which is talking about "Unknown user". This is correct because such user does not exist in our LDAP.
    When we use format user_name@domain we get error which was described in my previous post.
    Could you tell us, how to check legacy mode in our sun calendar 6.3 installation?
    Many thanks.
    LV.

  • Question about Sun Java Calendar Server 7

    You downloadable forum, at [http://www.sun.com/software/products/calendar_srvr/get_it.jsp|http://www.sun.com/software/products/calendar_srvr/get_it.jsp],
    leaves one with two questions.
    -What databases are needed/supported by this MessageBoard System for backend storage?
    -What are the licensing details? May the MessageBoard/Communications Suite 7
    be installed and used in a commercial environment, free?
    -May Sun Java Calendar Server 7 be downloaded without the Communications suite?
    -Can it be run off an Apache Tomcat Server with J2SE,J2EE codebases?

    Although... at the top of this forum it says
    This is a forum for new Java developers to get acquainted with the technologies and tools associated with the Java Platform.It doesn't actually say anything about programming, not there nor in what follows. So it isn't surprising that the OP thought this was a suitable forum to ask about that server, which looks as if it might be a "tool associated with the Java platform".

  • Connect JUST Outlook Calendar to Sun Java System Calendar Server

    Is it possible to connect JUST the Outlook Calendar to a Sun Java System Calendar Server, using Sun Java System Connector for Microsoft Outlook 6.0?
    Leaving all other outlook functionality hooked up to exchange?
    Hal.

    Hi,
    Being disconnected straight away after authenticating to an MMP doesn't sound very healthy.
    Has the MMP worked in the past - can you connect to the MMP with another email client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and collect your email?
    Is the MMP AService.rc process crashing/core dumping?
    What does the MMP IMAP log tell you/have you tried increasing the logging level and connecting again?

  • Blank Page with sun Java System Calendar Express and IE6

    Hi Everybody,
    I saw a few threads related to my problem, but no solutions ....
    When I try to open the Sun Java System Calendar Express web-interface with IE6, I get a blank page after the initial logon-screen. IE7 and Firefox do not show this problem - so I assume the server itself is working fine.
    I run SJS-CS v6.3 with patch 121659-18 on Linux.
    Otherwise the calendar server is working just fine - problem is, that I cannot switch all users to new/other browsers ...
    Any ideas ?
    Cheers, Stefan!

    render.xslonclient.enable
    ui.toolbar.repainting.enable
    I run SJS-CS v6.3 with patch 121659-18 on Linux.Let me just point out that calendar express is deprecated with CS6.3 (no more features/enhancements) so you should be looking to move to UWC/CE.
    Otherwise the calendar server is working just fine - problem is, that I cannot switch all users to new/other browsers ...Did this problem start when you upgraded to 6.3 or is this a new installation?

  • Migration from Sun Java System Portal Server to the Oracle Portal

    Hi, I'm in charge of evaluate the viability of a project that comprises the migration from Sun Java System Portal Server to the Oracle Portal. so I'm wondering if there is a kind of out of box migration tool in Oracle Portal or exists some guidelines to do the migration. In the other hand there is the option of migrate from Sun Java System Portal Server to Oracle WebCenter?
    Thanks in advance!

    The migration path for Sun Portal Server is Oracle WebCenter Suite. WebCenter is a significantly different architecture so there are no tools planned for the migration. However, we do plan to document and publish a whitepaper once we've assisted a few of the initial customer migrations.

  • Migration to Sun Java Webserver

    We are using a Java application running in iPlanet Web server 6.0
    Enterprise , On a customer requirement we decided to upgrade the web server to Sun Java System Web server 6.1. SP7,
    Our Java web application we have support for English as well as
    Arabic. Hence all the Servlets are written to handle the UTF-8 encoded
    pages.
    In Iplanet UTF8 encoding for the server can be enabled by specifying
    context.global.parameterEncoding=utf8 in the configuration file
    context.properties,
    During migration we found there is no context.properties file in Sun
    Java System Web Server 6.1 Sp 7.
    How this can be done in Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 Sp 7 without
    changing the application code?, What is the equivalent setting for
    context.global.parameterEncoding=utf8 in Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 Sp 7.
    Would appreciate your help.

    I tried importing the jsp pages in the Jdeveloper IDE. But could not see them. They were all blank.

  • Customizing Sharepoint Calendar Week Group View to display multiple weeks in a single row

    Hi,
    SharePoint Calendar's Week Group View is useful for comparing multiple co-worker's schedule, and we have a business needs to be able to view the schedule for with the date range of more than one week at a time between co-workers for planning purposes, is
    there a way (code or no-code) to manipulate the date/week range so that the calendar display more than 7 days in a single row?

    Hi,
    As there is no such OOTB feature, I would suggest that you can change the calendar scope to “Month” or create a Gantt view to display more weeks in a view.
    Or you can try to create a custom calendar web part to meet your requirement.
    Here are some samples of custom calendar web part for your reference:

  • Edit Custom base calendar

    I created a custom base calendar to use with local holidays, which I use for a number of projects.
    This works fine, but I need to add holidays. That again works fine for each project. But is it possible to edit this base calendar so that the changes are reflected in all projects that use it?
    Valgardur Gudjonsson

    From your question, I assume you use only the desktop Project and not Project Server.
    When you said, you use the base calendar for a number of projects, I assume you have created the custom calendar and shared this calendar to other project files either by using the current plan as a template or by using the Organizer.
    Desktop Project doesn't have way to centralize calendars
    Rather, if the edits needs to the custom base calendar needs to appear on other files, you need to open the current file and other project file, and select File, Info, Organizer. Select the calendar to be copied and hit copy. :)

  • Migration of data from Netscape-Directory 4.1 to Sun Java System DS 5.2P6

    Hi all,
    I am in the process of migrating data from Netscape-Directory/4.1 B99.166.1013 to Sun Java(TM) System Directory Server/5.2_Patch_6 B2007.221.1746
    and I am new to this environment.
    please help me to to migrate only the data as we built DS5.2P6 on a new Hardware.
    Thanks,
    Sridhar

    First, thank for the answer.
    I tried,
    but Netscape and JES PAB are quite different.
    This is an entry Netscape:
    dn: cn=170695183, ou=testcomune, o=pab
    mail: [email protected]
    givenName;lang-it: Plutarco
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: person
    objectClass: organizationalPerson
    objectClass: inetOrgPerson
    objectClass: pabperson
    cn;lang-it: Plutarco Plutone
    memberofpab: 117080712
    sn;lang-it: Plutone
    cn: 170695183
    And this is an entry JES:
    dn: un=ziopinoc6173be, ou=testcomune, o=pab
    mail: [email protected]
    un: ziopinoc6173be
    givenName: zio
    objectClass: top
    objectClass: person
    objectClass: organizationalPerson
    objectClass: inetOrgPerson
    objectClass: pabperson
    sn: pino
    cn: zio pino
    As you see, in dn JES appear un instead of cn.
    Attributes are little different.
    Really, in JES Communication Express I can see also the old entry of pab. But I can't edit them by click to "Display Name": all field appear empty in the opening window.
    So, I think two operation are needed:
    1) a script that modify attributes from netscape pab to JES pab.
    2) when I add a JES account, the pab is added in a tree that is not the netscape pab. The autocreate netscape pab was:
    ou=<uid>,o=pab
    the autocreate JES pab is:
    ou= <tree_of_account_on_his_root>,ou=<uid>,o=pab
    To avoid confusion, I would like keep old tree style also for new account without change it by hand in paburi attribute.
    Is that possible?
    Thank you very much again
    Marco

  • OracleConnectionPoolDataSource with a JDBC defined in Sun Java App Server?

    How do I use OracleConnectionPoolDataSource with a JDBC Resource defined in Sun Java System Application Server 8.2?
    I created a JDBC Resource labeled "jdbc/__PetroPool" that is backed by a Connection Pool labeled "PetroPool".
    Should I even be using OracleConnectionPoolDataSource or should I be using Apache Commons DBCP?
    Thanks,
    --Todd

    Check this documentation from MS on using the JDBC driver with DataSource
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms379052.aspx
    SJS Web Server 7.0 should work with any driver that has support for javax.sql.DataSource. The great majority of drivers do.
    So instead of using the driver name, use the DataSource class name:
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDataSource
    The properties to add should be:
    user=username
    password=password
    servername=sql_server_hostname
    portnumber=sql_server_port
    databasename=databasename
    In general, all the setters required to get the datasource configured can be set as properties.
