Migrating data from one screen to another though Table Control

Hi Sapgurus,
I am woking n the scenerio where i have two screen 100 and 200 now in 100 screen i have a Table Control, now i want that when i click on the row of this table control the selected row data should be migrated to another screen.
I have already check the "Respond to Double click property". But i dont know how to move further.
Please Help.

In the user command Module,
check at sy-ucomm
if double click....call screen 200
and then u must be having the data in the internal table, fetch the data from the table.

HI Experts,
i am facing problem in passing data from one web-dynpro screen and assigning the data it to another web-dynpro screen.
my requirement is that when ever user selects a contract in PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY screen popup and press only assign only button, the data of the contract should be copied to the shopping cart.
i have already used the BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, but unfortunately it was not working.
so i tried to use the context, element and other web-dynpro fields to pass the data, i am able to pass the data from the popup to the second screen and able to assign it.
but when ever i deselect the shoppping cart which has been assigned with the data of the popup and select another shopping cart the data of the above shopping cart is cgetting changed.
i am unable to figure out the exact reason why this is happeing.i have written code in the ASSIGN ONLY button method to fetch the popup data and in the WDONMODIFYVIEW method of the second screen to assign the popup data to the shopping cart.
i have tried to bind the elements using the BIND_TABLE, BIND_STRUCTURE, BIND_ELEMENT, BIND_ELEMENTS methods, but nothing is working.
can anyone suggest me where i am making mistake and try to solve the issue.

Copy data from one schema to another schema tables

Hi,
I was doing a copy using sql developer copy feature, data copy worked perfect but for few table data didn't move there are about 30 tables from schema prod to schema dev i need to move tables are already created only data needs to be moved from prod to dev
Can you suggest me any method were I can move all the tables data at a time from one schema to another. Please suggest.

I just migrated my data from my old Macbook to my new Macbook Pro. All of the data migrated as my old user, so now i have 2 users on my computer under my name.
I am wondering how I can transfer the data from my old user (on my new computer after migration) to my new user on the new computer. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't use migration assistant. I recently had to move all of my files from a 2008 macbook to a 2013 macbook air. It took me three days to try multiple attempts with migration assistant. What I did was create a drop box account with my macbook (my macbook air already had drop box installed) and then move files from my macbook into my drop box folder. Once that was completed, I would manually copy my files onto my macbook air. The catch is that you need to be sure your computer sharing is enabled and that you make sure your older macintosh will allow permission to your new macintosh to see its drop box files. How to migrate data from one database to another for a specific time frame

This is the scenario:
We have 2 databases:
PTT : THis has data from march 11 to March 19 that was created when the production was down due to a crash
PROD : THis was recovered after March 19. Hence has no data created between March 11 and March 19
How do I transfer this data from March 11 to March 19 from PTT to PROD so that Production can be up to date asap.

Hi,
You could use EXP/IMP to move the data from PTT to PROD. But, you should be careful with sequences, modification to the same data.....
eg Customer Address was updated between Mar 11 - 19, again the same customers was updated after 19 Mar, under this situation if you load the data from PTT you would be wrongly updating the data.....
You have to study well and apply changes...........

Migrating data from one MacBook to another problem

I tried to transfer my account with all data protected by file vault from MacBook Air with 10.5.8 to a new MacBook Pro using migrating tool. After the transfer was completed i couldn't access my account on my new MacBook. When i try to reset password the system accepts my old master password but wouldn't accept a new one - the window's just shaking and goes back to empty. Anyone else had/has similar issue?

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.

Migrating data from one account to another on the same Mac

One of the accounts on my Mac has been plagued with problems ever since the upgrade to Snow Leopard. Safari crashes when attaching photos along with other apps crashing as well.
I just purchased one of the new iMacs (which is really sweet BTW) and used the migration assistant to move all accounts. It would seem that the "currupted" account followed and still has issues with crashing apps (none of the other accounts have this problem so its not system wide).
What I want to do is create a new admin account and manually move all of my data. What would be the best way to accomplish this? Hopefully whatever is causing the crashing issue won't follow.

you can manually copy only the data you need to the new account. use this post as a guide on what to copy

when you copy stuff do it via a location that both accounts have read access to, say, /Users/Shared. log into the old account and copy what you need to /Users/shared. then log out log into the new account and copy those things back to the new home directory. copying rather than moving files will ensure that you won't have permissions issues later.

If I have a custom entity that I wanted to transfer all the data into Accounts, would that be possible? I need the notes in the notes section of the custom

Why not a workflow to run on your custom entity: - on custom entity first create a lookup to account you will migrate its data to - in workflow create an account in which you map custom entity fields to account fields - in same workflow you update the
custom entity account lookup field with the created and migrated account Next you create workflow to run on notes (this im not 100pct sure is possiboe but try it) - this should create a new note with text from the note it runs on - and set the new note regarding
the existing notes custom entity account lookup field (which should contain the new account) With advanced find you can find notes related to your custom entity and then run sorkflow 2 above

Problem in passing data from 1 screen to another using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.

Hi Experts,
i am new to the SRM, i am facing problem in passing data from one screen to another.
my requirement is that when we select one shopping cart and press the PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button, we will fetch all the contracts that are attached to the shopping cart.
we have implemented a BADI implementation of BBP_SOS_BADI (method BBP_SOS_CHECK) for passing some changed values to the contracts of the shopping cart into the popup screen that is displayed when we press PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button and when we select any contract and press ASSIGN ONLY button in the popup screen the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI is triggered.
i have implemented another BADI implementation of BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI for fetching the selected contract and pass the values to another screen, but the problem is that when we select one contract and press the assign only button we are fetching the wrong contract number ( that is in the BADI method BB_SC_CHANGE parameter IT_ITEM we are fetching the wrong contract), if we again do the same procedure for the second time we are getting the correct contract.
i am unable to understand why we are getting the wrong contract in the first time( that is we are getting contract other than the selected one).
as per my understanding i think when we are passing data to the popup screen using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI we are not updating the shopping cart with the changed data.
can anyone tell me how we can update the SHOPPING CART with the changed contracts data, i have used BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE, BBP_PD_SC_SAVE and other shopping cart FM but nothing is happening.

Hello,
What version of SRM are you on? Have you check for OSS Notes? I have had trouble with BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI but it was because of other issues. The BADI works pretty well and it is called almost every time something happens to the shopping cart.
I have noticed that sometimes that values are not changed til the second calling of the BADI. I have yet understand why but I think it has to do with prompt processing. Usually, we train our requisitioners to click the 'Check' button to flush things out.
I don't know if I was helpful.... another thought.... could there be an error caught by BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI that is preventing change in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI?

If you are using Oracle 9i, look at external tables. Otherwise, dumping your data to text files and using SQL*Loader to load it into Oracle tables is a good option. There are various tools and utilities you might look into, including ODBC and migration toolkit. I prefer the SQL*Loader method for DBase, FoxPro, and Access.

1. Not transferring identity columns (primary keys). the destination table might have the same key.
2. keep the PK's and FK's relation b/w parent and child table
3. I have 4 levels

Move data from one cube to another cube

Hi,
I am on BW 3.5 and I have moved the data from one cube to another cube and found that the number of records in the original cube does not match to the newly created cube. for eg. if the original cube contains 8,549 records then the back up cube contains 7,379 records.
Please help me on what I need to look on and if in case the records are getting aggregated then how do I check the aggregating record.

check with any update rules in ur transfer.If so check in it.
Just go through these methods for making transfer from one cube to another cube fully without missing data.
Update rules method
if it's updated from ods, you can create update rules for cube2 and update from ods
or you can try datamart scenario
cube1 right click 'generate export datasource'
create update rules for cube2, assign with cube1
rsa1->source system->bw myself, right click 'replicate datasource'
rsa1-> infosource -> search 8cube1 name
(if not get, try right click root note 'infosource'->insert lost node(s)
from that infosource, you will find assigned with datasource, right click and 'create infopackage', schedule and run.
Copy from
While creating the new cube give the cube name in the "Copy from" section. It would copy all the characteristics and Key figures. It would even copy the dimensions and Navigational attributes
Another option is:
The steps for copying the contents of one cube to another:
1. Go to Manage -> Recontruct of the new cube.
2. Select the "selection button"(red , yellow, blue diamond button).
3.In the selection screen you can give the technical name of the old cube, requests ids you want to load, from & to date.
4.Execute and the new cube would be loaded.

The geniusbar told me what to do, I understood but there is still a problem for me >:/ It's not showing up though. Like "device." Nothing is happening, and I tried as soon as I got home. Then after half an hour, then an hour, then 3 hours. My problem is that it's not showing up! It's stuck in recovery mode! There's still like 25% battery. So I have no idea why.

How to move only subset of data from one database to another?

Both source & destination are Oracle11g databases.
The requirement details are as below,
1) The database contains static as well as transactional data for telecom domain.
2) We have to move region-wise data from one database to another.
3) There are around 10 regions.
4) The region wise data extraction from source db is based on around 40 to 50 tables. Rest of the tables contains
static data & it will not change.
5) The volume is around 1 million subscribers per region.
6) The migration is required because
a) The client is upgrading its base product which uses this database
b) There is a change in structure of static tables
c) Hardware upgrade
d) The client want to start with single region on new database & rest of the regions will be operated from old
database.
7) Keep execution time to very minimum.
I am thinking to have solution as below,
1) Create destination database with upgraded db structure (as mentioned in 6b)
2) Create database links to access source db in destination db.
3) Write SQL queries to fetch data from all the respective tables for a specific region
4) Write separate PL/SQL blocks for each table to fetch data from source db & insert into respective table in
destination db
a) Use FOR ALL & bulk collect to improve the performance
b) Divide table data into multiple chunks & execute parallel batches (around 10) to insert the data
5) Validate pre & post counts to verify the success of migration
Is there any other better way?

How to move only subset of data from a partiular table by using transportable tablespace?
E.g. SUB table using SMP_SUB tablespace contains subscriber data in source database.
The indexes defined on SUB table are under SMP_IDX_SUB tablespace
The subscribers data can be categorized by different regions, say region_id column. Then how to move data & indexes of SUB table from source db to destination db?
any specific example would be helpful.
