We're still using ServiceMigrate with 2006.0.6. I'm trying to figure out if the relationship between a service and a category are migrated with a service, with a category, or both.
My use case is that currently a service is being displayed in two categories. I want to remove it from one of those categories. I can do that from either the category or the service to the same effect. So now that I've removed one of the relationships, can I migrate that to another environment by migrating the category, or do I need to migrate the service?

With ServiceMigrate, you can base the extract class on either services or categories. I would go with categories and modify the extract class released in extractclasses.xml as follows:

Is there a way to update an external dictionary for services without migrating the services
Is there a way to update a common external dictionary used by many services without migrating each and every service that uses the dictionary. I have updated the table in the database and the external dictionary in our Development Environment. The external dictionary is used by many services. When I migrate the changed service to TEST/STAGE/PROD environments (NOTE: the table has been updated in the TEST/STAGE/PROD Databases), only the changed service is having the external dictionary updated. All other services that use the same external dictionary are NOT updated. I have the following questions
Is it possible to migrate dictionaries so that all the services which are using that dictionary are updated?
If the first one is not possible, Is there any other way to update the external dictionary without migrating all the services that use dictionary?

Category for service category S046 does not exist

Dear Experts,
This is regarding the Bdoc error "Category for service category S046 does not exist". ECC service materials are trying to replicate from ECC to CRM. In our scenario we doesn't required ECC service material in CRM. I have not downloaded service materials relevant data. Still i am facing the above error.
Please help to fix the above error.

How to migrate publish service from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5?

I have been upgrading from LR4 to LR5. Then I imported the LR4 catalog. But no Publish service was following to LR5.
I have used the FLICKR plugin a lot - made more than 80 FLICKR-sets. Therefore I would be terribly sorry if I do not succeed in restoring the contact to the old service files. Does anybody know how to migrate publish services from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5? Very fine if it's going to be a kind of a workaround.

You'll need to backtrack a little, open your LR4 catalogue in LR5 and allow it to upgrade the catalogue with publish services.
If you've done work on images in the "wrong move" catalogue, identify those images, select them, and do a File > Export as Catalog. in the "right move" catalogue, bring this work in by File > Import from Another Catalog.
Alternatively, it may be worth looking at Jeffrey Friedl's Flickr plugin as he may have looked at this problem. Maybe someone here will know if it would help.

Service Category Error in Create Service Master Record - AC03

I'm trying to create a new service master record. When I select service category "SERV service : purchasing" from the list I get the error "Missing Authorization : Create Service SERV"

Please use transaction code SU53 to know the object name which is missing in to your profile.
Once u will get the access of this Object, u will be able to post the SES.
Please take help from BASIS team.

No Service category determined

HI,
IN single invoice amount 10000 , in this amount 6000 service tax remaining 4000 vat , we need to calulate both the tax through,
FB60 at a time.
Due to this IN fb60 i posted 2 line iteams
6000 line iteam i given Service tax code
4000 line item i given vat tax code
it is simulating and tax calculating corectly when iam posting iam getting errore = No Service category determined
IN the service tax vandor code and gl account , service tax catageri i allready maintained in tabel level.(J_1IVSERCATMMFI1)

Issue in migrating analysis service job from one server to another

Hi All,
I'm migrating analysis services from one server to another, within the source server there is a job with the name
denreportingprocess which executes a batch file within local drive on server. I have moved all the analysis services cubes from the source server to destination and all the databases on the source server have been restored to destination.Verified
cubes are pointing to the correct database by modifying the connection string within the datasource part of the cube databases.
I have copied the entire process folder from source to destination and edited the code within the run file and code within the job pointing the locations to new server.
Below is the job code, it is running a batch file placed in E drive
E:\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\process\run.cmd
Below is the text within the batch file (windows command script)
E:\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\process\ASCMD -S "servername" -i "E:\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\process\Process.xmla"

When I run the job it is failing with below error message

Thanks for the reply, I have mapped the account under which the job was running to D drive, now it can access the file but job is still failing and error is not that informative.

Hi,
You can migrate Certificate Services to another server but server name should be same. Also changing the server name which has CA role installed is not recommended.

Service Category determination for Service Tax report

Hi All,
We have applied the SP18 at our client's place in which a new node of Service Tax has been introduced in IMG under Logistics. We would like to configure the Service Category under it.
Suppose the access sequence is maintained as (any suitable) :
Vendor + GL Acc + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
GL Acc + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
Vendor + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
Tax code + Serv. Catg.
We would like to know what is the significance of GL Acct. here. If anyone has used this configuration, kindly help us to understand.
Also, suppose the existing service tax codes are Plant dependant then how do we map this scenario for determining Service Tax Category.

I don't know about "Ship-to arty" use in contract determination. AFAIK Sold2-Party, Sales and Service Organization, status of the Service Contract (released), Start and End date and the object list are responsible for the Contract determination. Hence if I'm not wrong a sold2-party must be provided.
There is the CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT Badi and what we did in our process is to use the Event framework to ensure a contract redetermination after change of the sold2-party. Take a look at CRM_SEARCH_SERV_CONTRACTS_EC for ideas in that direction.

In AC03->goto->classification you can assign a class to the service master.
The class (or many classes) is defined in CL01 with class type 038. You can also define characteristics(CT04) and add to this class (CL01/CL02) to represent properties of service.
Example:
Service category: Construction
You want to differentiate services related to earth work, building, painting separately.
Define Characteristics (CT04): Type of service. Define values for this characteristic as 'Building', 'Earth Work', 'Painting'
You can define a class (CL01): COnstruction Services and assign the above char
In AC03, you can assign this class to services and assign a value for characteristic which best represents the service.

Hi John, In my another environment I have to migrate the users and groups from Hyperion HSS 11.1.1.2 to Hyperion shared services 11.1.2.2. I am using LCM for that, when I export the users and gropus from 11.1.1.2, it exports fine but when i import it to my 11.1.2.2 using LCM, I am getting the below errors.
Error when I try to import the groups:
ErrorEPMIE-00051: Failed to perform operation on role. Could not locate role matching filter {0} and filter attribute {1}. Please ensure that a role exists matching the filter with filter attribute.
EPMIE-00024: Failed to import all of the membership info for group test group. Invalid group members encountered. Please ensure the validity of members and its existence in their respective providers.
Errors when i try to import the users:
ErrorEPMIE-00051: Failed to perform operation on role. Could not locate role matching filter {0} and filter attribute {1}. Please ensure that a role exists matching the filter with filter attribute.
EPMIE-00020: Failed to update user 04668162 during import. Invalid identity for user. Please ensure that the user is available in the system with the identity specified in the import file.
Any idea?

Service category Mapping while creating PO

Hi,
Requirement is to configure types of service which is categorized in two parts. Service category A has almost 16 types of services which is 100 % claimable and service category B has 100 types of service which 40-50% claimable from the govt.
Now let me know how we can categorize service A & B in the system so that user should create PO with types of service.
If any body has done it before then pls help me to resolve this issue.

Create the two types of service category in IMG and create service masters withe the different number ranges.
Service category A :Internal number assignment
Service category B :External number ranges.

When you are clicking on other services and pressing F4, you can see the four different search criteria, please select the third one SERVICES BY SHORT TEXT.

BDoc Error for R/3 service category

Hello
Currently i am processing the inbound qRFC queue as it has blocked lot of data to flow from R/3 to CRM.
While processing, one of the master queue was stopped and the SYSFAIL error was displayed. Using Tcode SMW01 i looked for the error message due to which it was stopped.
Here is the error mesasge:
Category for R/3 service category CIWO does not exist
Message no COM_PRODUCT_API004.
This is very important to resolve as it holds thousands of data.

So as per what you said, first i need to download all the other object before i dowload the service_master one? RIght?
If yes, than i already did that. What is now happening is all the queues have drained except the service master queue which gives PRODUCT_SRV error.
It says that "Category for R/3 material group E22-52-01 does not exist"
so what should i do now?
