Is there any standard migration program for new G/L Accounts.
or please tell the process of how we migrate data to New G/L accounts.

There is indeed a migration program to transfer the G/L accounts data to SAP. You can use LSMW tool to migrate the data.

Hi,
We have a requirement for posting FI documents for new General ledger i.e for transaction FB01L. Is there any BAPI for the same so that BDC can be avoided.
The BAPI "BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST" is used for FB01. Can we use it for FB01L?? As in this BAPI ledger group field is not there. Please suggest.

Hi Sandra,
Solved myself using the below options.
If you are using the BAPI - BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST, you can pass accounting principle field in importing structure BAPIACHE08. The relation between Legder group & accounting principle has to be configured in SPRO by FICO consultant. Once they configured in the system, get the accounting principles and then pass the accounting principle .
Code: s_documentheader-acc_principle = wa_header-acc_principle.

Hi,
As suggested by Kai you can use LSMW. This will be better option as it is very easy to use and you can also write routines while mapping the fields. You can also use IDOCs for importing data from Legacy system.
If you want to write a report then you can use BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI. Please refer to the documentation of this BAPI. This BAPI internally calls CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. Do not forget to call BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_SAVE to commit your data.

Changing devices is no reason to create a new Apple ID.
All content purchased from iTunes is permanently linked to the Apple ID it was purchased with.
To update apps purchased with the old ID, you MUST sign in with that Apple ID.

Data Structure for New General Ledger for mySAP 2004

Guys,
We are preparing to upgrade to mySAP 2004.
mySAP 2004 doesn't have data migration tool for upgrade "classic" ledger to new ledger with advanced functionality. To utilize all new functionality, data should be migrated to the new ledger. Data migration tool in this case should be developed (ABAP). What is the difference in data structure of new ledger?

Migrated files and New User Account

Hello,
New Mac user here. I successfully migrated all the content from my old PC onto my Mac Mini and it was put into a new user account. I'd like to transfer this content into the Admin account and delete the added user. What's the best way to go about doing this? Thanks so much!

Use Quicktime Player version 7 instead of Quicktime 10.
Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded.

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".

Migrating Programs to New OS (HD Crash)

I'm apparently having problems with the hard drive on my MacBook Pro. I can no longer start my computer from my main hard drive. I can only start it using a clone I made some time ago.
I talked to a Mac Genius, who told me he suspected a problem with my System folder. He seemed to think it pretty serious. He encouraged me to try and save as much data as possible, but he suggested that cloning my hard drive might finish it off.
He said they'll install a new hard drive for me. He also mentioned something about archiving my existing data/programs, as well as "migrating" software programs to my new hard drive. So I have several questions relating to this situation. Some are a little nebulous, as I don't know all the details.
First, I should point out that I had a recent clone of my hard drive, but I destroyed it when I last tried to update it. I beileve my cloner (I forget if I was using Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner) backed up my files but told me the cloned drive wasn't bootable. This was presumably a clue that my hard drive was going bad, though I didn't realize it at the time.
I just tried cloning it again with Carbon Copy Cloner, but it wasn't long before it just quit, warning me that it couldn't make a bootable clone. (I think it said it couldn't locate a file in the System folder, or something like that.) I'm now trying it with Super Duper. When I got home from work, I discovered that it had copied 29.27 GB, but now it seems to be just hanging there, recording no further progress.
So let me ask some actual questions...
1. Archiving Files - The Mac Genius told me he could barely see my internal hard drive. However, I can see it just fine after booting into an older clone - one I made before I installed a lot of software programs. I've copied files from my internal hard drive to another partition on my external hard drive and am now cloning it. (I just discovered that cloning is still in progress; it's just going really slow.)
So when I take my computer in to get my new hard drive installed, is there some way for the Mac techs to somehow archive all the data on my hard drive and copy it to my new hard drive? I'm not too worried about losing data, but I dread having to reinstall and reconfigure all my software.
2. Migrating programs - If the Apple techs are unable or unwilling to archive my programs, would I be able to "migrate" a software program from a clone that isn't bootable? Is it even possible to migrate a software program from files that have been manually copied to another drive?
These are my main software programs:
Adobe Creative Suite
Microsoft Office for Mac
iWork
iLife
MAMP Pro (including my MySQL databases and phpMyAdmin)
I can reinstall most of them easily enough, if I have to, but installing Creative Suite was a pain in the butt. I THINK I might be able to reinstall all the MAMP Pro stuff by simply pasting a folder into my new hard drive. I certainly don't want to have to go to the trouble of recreating my database, all my virtual hosts, etc.
Sorry for the long, rambling post, but I'm just fishing for any tips I can get, and I wanted to offer a lot of details.

your HD is obviously on its last legs and can fail completely at any moment. You should not count an apple techs being able to archive this stuff for you. they can try but it may not work just as it's not working for you. do yourself a favor and back up as much of your own data as you can (by hand if necessary). Migrating applications is only possible from a bootable drive or a TM drive using Migration Assistant. as you don't have either reinstall your software by hand.

Safari and Chrome will not display some pages right for new user account

Not sure this is a Safari issue actually. Behavior is also in Chrome, but not Firefox. If I need to post elsewhere please advise.

Setup a new user account. Machine will have 2 users.
When I login as the new user, in both Safari and Chrome, some pages - google, ebay, amazon, cnn, yahoo, do not display correctly. Mainly empty space, a few graphics all wrong. They do display correctly in Firefox.
I assumed it was the user. So I added a 3rd user. Same behavior. Tried giving the new user admin rights. Same problem.
For the admin account, everything's fine on those pages, both in Safari and Chrome.
It feels like the new user is not getting access to something it needs, but it also feels like more than a font problem. Thanks for any suggestions. Dan

Thanks for your thoughts. Here's what I've learned. The browsers display correctly for the new user after SafeBoot. I removed all startup items, to no avail. Removed all fonts from the new user account, nothing. Removed all fonts from the admin user's library, nothing. Then I removed all fonts from the HD library, and that fixed it for the new user. Now I just have to figure out which one it was.
So in summary, a bad font in the HD library was affecting Safari and Chrome (but not Firefox) in new user accounts, but not in the admin user's account. Nice. D

Setting in VKOA for New GL Account

Hi SAP Experts,
We have a requirement were user has given 2 new GL accounts which should be replaced with the old GL accounts.
This is has to be done for 2 materials which had differnct Plant.
The scenario is such that both the materials with the old GL are assigned to same customer hence the customer is the same, the sales org & chart of account is also the same. But for the acct assignment group for material i have kept the same in VKOA and different GL. My concern is that during VFO1 the accounting doc that is generated is not picking the next GL. Below is the configuration that i have done for VKOA
APP>Cond Type>Chart Ac> Sales Org>AAG>AAG>Act Key-->GL
V--->KOF1>0001--->00001-->X1->Y1-ERF----->400000
V-----KOF1>0001>0001>--X1->Y1-ERF----->500000
Actually 50000 is not getting hit during VF01.

If you see your VKOA setting, you creterias include the AAG of the material and not the material number.
You can create a new access sequence and can include material number also, then you can define the account determination based on material number. In standard SAP, such access key not available.

Where is the location of isight photo for new osx account?

When a new account is created and the (inbuilt) isight camera is used to take a login photo, where on the OS is that photo stored and in what format?
Sorry if it's basic, but I've searched high and low for ages...

The login picture can be anywhere on the hard disk; to find its current location, open the NetInfo Manager in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, and check the picture property for your user account.
To find this property for a system other than the one currently used to start up the computer, open the Terminal application in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following command:
sudo nicl -raw '/Volumes/volumename/private/var/db/netinfo/local.nidb' -read users/username/
This command will prompt you for your administrator password; nothing will appear in the Terminal window while it is being typed. Look for the picture line in the output to find the path.

How to reset UID for new created accounts?

Hi everyone,
OS X uses the UID 501 for the first admin account and subsequently counts up for the coming accounts (502, 503, etc.). I sometimes need to create an additional account which will get deleted after a while. The next time I create such an account the UID counter goes still up so that I currently am somewhere around 510.
What I’d like to know is, how does one reset the UID counter so that it will give out 502 again for my next created account? Does this involve dsctl? Any help is appreciated!

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but I was away for a week. I know about the advanced options, but was reluctant to try it this way. Just tested this in a VM and it works! You simply change the UID via System Prefs/Accounts/Advanced to say 502 and the subsequent accounts will follow. The only thing to keep in mind is to close System Preferences after deleting accounts in order to reset the counter. If you continue to create new users without quitting it first, it will continue at 511 or whereever you were.
The reason I want to do this, is simply to not lose my overview about which account uses which UID.

Trouble signing up for new ePrintCenter account

I just setup a new Officejet 8600 printer and I can't seem to sign up for an ePrintCenter account. I keep going to eprintcenter.com, I click to sign in, i click to sign up for a new account and a new window pops up. I then fill in all the info and click the big sign up button at the bottom of the window and the window goes away. At this point I click the sign in button again and enter the email and password i just filled in and I get a message that email address is invalid. I've tried to click the forgotten password button and when I fill in the email address I get the email address is invalid message again. I've tried 3 different web browsers (i figured chrome just wasn't working correctly with the website) but I got the same thing with every one (chrome, firefox, and ie).
Any idea what's going wrong?

Migration Question for New Leopard Mac Mini

Oh my... I have a new Leopard Mac Mini still in the box!
I want to connect it up and migrate my iTunes and iPhoto libraries, etc. to it from my old Mac Mini but here's the thing: my old Mac Mini is a G4, powerpc mac has been through a sort of mini **** lately and at this time will need it's hard disk repaired before I will be able to get it back up to 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4. that it had had only last week, before all manner of disasters happened after the last security update. Genius bar made it relatively functional by re-installing the OS but they used 10.4.7 and Safari 2.0.4. to do it! So here is my question: Do I need to get my PPC Mac back up to snuff completely before I can migrate stuff from it to the new Leopard Mac Mini or can I do the migration and get everything nice and lovely on the new machine even though there are still problems on the old Mac Mini?
Here is the problem that the PPC G4 Mac Mini has at this time:
Verifying volume "Macintosh HD"
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Invalid index key
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
Would this pose a problem in the migration?

The best thing I can say about your post is that at least you realize that Installing Leopard on a broken Tiger and a G4 processor files is exactly how hundreds of the problems are being caused. Too many people have decided that "Apple Just Works" and figure that installing the newest most complex MacOS ever will just work. These people are getting "worked".
Good Luck cleaning up your machine to tip-top shape to 10.4.11, with every update for every program you intend to transfer. Your drive must be squeeky clean, or you will have problems that nobody can explain. I'd recommend removing any applications you don't have to have or that you can reinstall easily with a program like App Zapper and get rid of the G4 system files as much as possible.

How can I change Aperture permissions for new user account

I migrated my old user account (Ezra) to my new Mac mini from my old MBP laptop, but it would not allow me to keep the same name, (Ezra) so I picked a new one (Karyn). The problem is that now I can't access any of my other Aperture Libraries on my external storage array (Drobo) due to permissions errors. What is the best course of action to get back to working with Aperture? Is there a way to change an existing user account name to match what it used to be? I want the (Ezra) account from the Mac mini to eventually migrate to a freshly purchased Macbook Air later, then I could delete it from the Mac mini to rid the problem of duplicate user account names.

Sounds like when you installed the new system you created a user account on it and then used migration assistant to copy over the files from the old system,. IS this correct?
If so you will have other problems down the road with other applications also. The best thing to so if you still have the old system and have not done to much work on the new system is to redo the install and use setup assistant. This way your old account will be brought over to the new system and you will not have permissions problems.
You can try one thing. Do a Get Info on the Drobo Drive and see if at the bottom of the Info window you see this:
If that is there for the drive (and I don;t know if the Drobo will have this option) you can select the box and you might be able to get at your libraries.
As I wrote however, even of you fix this problem there is a good chance you will run into others later on.
