Military Time

Afternoon,
I am trying to get my times to display in Military Times. Right now I have it stating 9/22/2012 7:03:00 PM and I need it to say 9/22/2012 19:03 instead.
Currently, my formula is just a filter:
filter ("- Terminal Task Measures"."Task Reported DateTime (Local)" using "Task Detail"."Task Code" = 'crew-in-wagon')
I am unsure of how to convert it to military time, would I create a new column then pull that formula into the new conversion formula, something like: conversionFormula(filter ("- Terminal Task Measures"."Task Reported DateTime (Local)" using "Task Detail"."Task Code" = 'crew-in-wagon')) ?
Thanks!

Hi, actually you can change it in the Column Properties > Data Format
Check Override Default Data Format
Date Format: Custom
Custom Date Format: M/d HH:mm
Thanks for the feedback!

  • IPad calendar appts stuck in military time

    I'm working on an iPad 2. My issue is with the calendar. The calendar itself is set in standard a.m./p.m. time, but it has reset the appointments to military/24 hour time. This can't be corrected by turning off 24 hour time, because its already off. If I am looking at the "day" calendar with the split screen, the right hand side shows the day laid out by the hour, in standard time, but on the left, the appointments are shown with military time. So if I am in the monthly calendar and I click on an appt, it will show "13:30 pm to 14:30pm" but when I go to edit the event it shows starts 1:30pm to 2:30pm. How can I fix this glitch?

    Settings > Date & Time > 24-hour time -Off.
    Also you might want to check time zone settings, and go into International and check the Region Format. Then do a reset of the phone by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. That will restart the phone. This should correct it.

  • Military Time in Calendar?

    Has anyone discovered how to use military time - 1500 instead of 3 pm - in Calendar?

    Can't test it at the moment, but I think this old iCal/24 hour clock method will work if you use Languages, or what ever International was changed to...

  • How to convert from military time (string) to regular time?

    How to convert from military time (string) to regular time?
    First of all I need to let you know I'm very new to Crystal Reports, so I apologize and will need detailed instructions if possible.
    I have created a Crystal Report pulling information from the received time field.  On the report, the time is showing in military time (ex. 16:00:00).
    How can I convert this time to normal time (ex. 4:00:00)
    Since the field is a 'String' field and not a 'Time' field, I do not have the option of changing it under the field properties.
    I hope someone can help with this.
    Thank you in advance.

    As my fields were date only and not datetime, I ended up using the following,
    If IsDate({CallLog.EmailRecdDate}) Then
         CDate({CallLog.EmailRecdDate})
    Else
         CDate(0,0,0)
    You answer lead me in the right direction.
    I'm still having an issue with the 'Else' statment returning 12:00:00 because of the CDate(0,0,0), but I'm not sure what else I can use to return a blank space on the report.  Any ideas?
    Thanks again!

  • Convert military hours time to civilian time

    Fellows: How do I convert the military hours to civilian time (hours 1 through 12 followed by either "a.m." and "p.m."). . Thanks
    /* The following program will print hours in military time */
    import java.util.Date;
    public class Hours
    public static void main(String[] args)
    Date currentDate = new Date(); // Date constructor
    int hour = currentDate.getHours(); // method to get hours from the date object
    System.out.println("The hour is " + hour);
    }

    and learn about conventions. 24 hour time format is the standard in most of the world, not just "military time".

  • Current date & time in text field

    I need to auto-fill a text field with four letters plus the current date and current time. The text field should populate when the user clicks a checkbox.
    For example, if today is April 25, 2012 and the current time is 10:27 a.m., the text field should read: UNIS0425121027.  (The time can be in military time or not - it doesn't matter.)
    Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

    Try the following in the initialize event of the text field.
    Change the script language to FormCalc.
    TextField1.rawValue = Concat("UNIS",Num2Date(Date(),"MMDDYY"),Num2Time(Time(),"HHMM"));

  • Date and Time channels in Diadem files

    I'm developing a tool to convert data files from or own format to Diadem data files format, producing a header (.dat) and a binary file (.r64).
    From my source data files, I have to convert a date channel and a time channel. Is there a way to store such channels in binary format (in the .r64 file) ?
    I got the GFS's pdf "Description of the Data formats and File set properties", but I didn't find any info about binary date or time channels.
    Thanks for help.

    Michel,
    The starting point is 01.01.0000 at 00:00:00. This time/date is the value '0'. The DIAdem time channels will be accurate until at least 12/31/2078, starting at 10/15/1582. This is due to changes made to the Gregorian calendar made back in 1582 concerning leap years.
    Today (04/18/2202) at 1:00:00 PM (13:00:00 military time) would be the value 6.31862676E+10. This number represents the number of seconds that have passed since 01.01.0000 at 00:00:00.
    DIAdem provides two functions to convert numbers into time data and time data into numerical data. They are TTR (time to real) and RTT (real to time). The DIAdem help system contains additional information on how to use these functions.
    Let me know if there is any additional information I ca
    n help you with.

    The stack of buttons is simply an ARRAY of boolean controls.
    Your approach with multiple cases is a dead end. Forget it when the number of cases is larger that a few.
    After a look to your data file, I have a few questions/comments:
    1/ Is there any reason not to process the data BEFORE storing them in a file ? That is to say in a REAL real time basis ?
    2/ instead of using the military time format, which requires some preprocessing before storage, and some post processing for reading the data, why don't you use a more convenient format ?
    3/ There are five columns. Are columns 4 and 5 for sensors 3 and 4 ?
    4/ The temperature data seem to vary a lot within only 20 secs. Is this normal ? Or is this the result of strong noise ?
    Attached is a vi which show how to read sensor 1 against time. I think you will succeed in embedding it in my previous vi. If not, that means simply that you really have to spend more time studying LabVIEW basic programming techniques. You are lucky there since a/ you have a project, b/ you found NI forum to get answers to your questions

  • Converting time string to integer (****) in Labview 5.1

    So i'm very new to labview, learning as i go, but as the title says, i
    need to convert a time string to an ineger so that it can be placed in
    an integer array which will be compiled then writen to file at a
    specified end ( by user ) I just want 4 digits **** to indicate
    military time. And unfortuanly i'm stuck with labview 5.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I believe the diagram I have attached may have been possible in LV 5.1.
    Try to wire this up and see if it works.
    The icons may have changed a little between LV 5.1 and 6.1.

  • Rounding time field to nearest half hour

    Post Author: fiscyn
    CA Forum: Formula
    Is there a way to round a time field?
    For example,  if a time field is from 9:01 to 9:14  I want it to round back to 9:00;
    9:15 to 9:29  or 9:31 to 9:44   I want either option to round to 9:30
    and 9:45 to 9:59 I want to round to 10:00.
      I want to keep the original time and have the rounded time listed next to it.    Also I want this for a 24 hour clock, military time.  Don't know if that makes a difference.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    CA Forum: Formula
    I'm slowly getting this to work.    Just a couple problems,  minor I hope.
    I used the CTime function and used the rounding formulas for minutes and hours as you suggested.  It works great.   But the results for the hours come out as 12.00  and the minutes as 30.00 or 0.00.   How do I drop the decimals?   I tried the totext, 0 function,  but the numbers don't line up correctly.   If the hour is 9.00,  it drops the zero place holder.   So if 9 and 10 are lined up,  the 9 is above the 1 instead of the 0.
      It works fine for the minutes except I end up with 0 instead of 00.   Any suggestions?
    I greatly appreciate the help so far.   Thank you.

  • Date and Time Input Validation

    Anyone know a good way to validate date and time that a user is entering on the screen.  Our users want to enter AM and PM time vs. Military time.
    Also, since Input fields don't have an "onBlur" command, what are other companies using in java script.

    What type of DATE/TIME validation are you looking for?
    If you want to validate the format you could simply set the type to date/time and enable the dovalidate attribute to "TRUE".
    for getting onBlur, onChange, etc for your input field you can use bsp:findandreplace.
       <%
      tmp_string =`<input onBlur="javascript:yourjsfunction();"`.
          %>
          <bsp:findAndReplace find    = "<input"
                              replace = "<%= tmp_string %>" >
            <htmlb:inputField id        = "myInputField2"
                              value     = "12345"
                              alignment = "left" />
          </bsp:findAndReplace>

  • Installing a Timer in Whiteboard

    This is my assignment. Please someone guide me how... This is
    urgent.
    Have a timer on the upper left hand corner that counts down
    in military time. The input is in minutes. Example, say
    “eric” logs in as account “a” and waits in
    the virtual whiteboard for 20 minutes until “mark” logs
    in as “b” with the minutes as 90 minutes ( he enters
    this in during login ) . This will show on the upper right hand
    corner as 01:30 and starts counting down. The display will look
    like an LED display.
    when the timer is less than 10 minutes, this LED display will
    start flashing. When the timer hits “00:00:, it will redirect
    both the host and guest to logout.asp. Pass the parameter timerx=0
    and the nickname of “b” ( from here I will write an asp
    script to capture this event ). The string will look like
    logout.asp?nickname=mark&timerx=0
    It will kick both people out. Both would have to
    “launch” the web application again.
    Note: the timer will only appear when a guest logs in.
    Account “a” can be idle in the whiteboard and there is
    no LED displayed or any timers.
    only when a guest enters his white board will the LED show up
    and starts counting down. When the guest logs out, this LED
    disappears from the view of “a” and the LED will come
    back when another guest enters and the whole process repeats.

    Check CompUSA, Newegg.com or any other computer retailer. You can buy heatsink/fan kits. Swap the heatsink out (be sure to purchase a good paste) and plug the fan in. I'm not sure if there is a fan connection on the DA processor card, if not, you'll need to get a power adapter and plug it into the power supply.

  • Wrong Time for iCal events

    I am running System 10.7.5.
    I am running iCal 5.0.3.
    When ever I want to schedule an event on the half hour, iCal refuses to post the proper time.
    For example, I want to schedule an event at 8:30 PM; iCal schedules it for 8 or 7:30 PM.
    It even stubbronly reverts to 19:30 (military time, which I usually use) when I want to
    schedule it at 8:00 PM or 20:00 (military time again).
    BTW, the System Clock is accurate to the second, so that is not the problem.

    You have to change your time zone to Arabia Standard Time. It will help you now.
