MIMETYPE FDF PDF
Sorry für das Mehrfachposting, aber ich hab aufgrund eines fehlenden Bildes beim Developer´s Corner gar nicht gesehen, daß es diese Rubrik gibt :-(
Ich bin dabei, von einem PDF-File ein Servlet zu starten, welches eine FDF-Datei generiert, mit Daten füttert und dieses FDF-File wieder an ein Ausgabe-PDF schickt. Wenn ich das Servlet direkt starte, geht es auch. Wenn
ich auf den Button innerhalb des PDFs klicke, der das Servlet starten soll, macht der IE gar nichts. Der Netscape frägt nach, ob er die FDF-Datei speichern oder mit Adobe öffnen soll. Also werden die Daten nicht weitergegeben an die PDF, nur beim Direktstart via Adressleiste.
Der Code, an dem es wohl hackt:

1) Set everything up to emit the correct HTTP header for the MIME type. In the case with FDF, the MIME needs to be set to "application/vnd.fdf".
2) Obtain the OutputStream to which FDF data will be written
3) Write the FDF data to the OutputStream

Weiß jemand, welchen MIMETYPE ich jetzt brauche?? Hoff, das war verständlich. Oder braucht ihr mehr infos?

Printing out via the
print driver causes links to be duds. Previews the resulting
SWF in the FlashPaper application without saving it.
Converting to .SWF via Word's new "FlashPaper" menu lets them
work. Previews the resulting SWF in my browser, after saving it.

Secure HTTP FDF - PDF loads blank IE7 window
I've tried googling this a 100 ways and found nothing much.
Using IE7 and Reader 8
When a client clicks a link [a href='https://website.com/getinfo.asp#FDF' target='_blank'], the ASP page creates and displays a FDF file with /F (http://website.com/mypdf.pdf)
Problem is the client browser opens a blank browser page and Reader gives an error '.... this file could not be found'
If the link is changed to open in the same page then PDF loads correctly. Unfortunately business rules require that the PDF is loaded in a new window.
If 'Do not save encrypted pages to disk' is un-checked in IE then the PDF loads correctly in both new and same window. But again business rules require that the option is checked.
So how do I get the FDF (https) to load the PDF (http) in a new window in IE7 and Reader 8????
Any suggestions would be helpfulWell.. I solved this with workaround.
When a user clicks the link the user is now redirected to a blank page which opens in a new window. After 100ms the page redirects to the FDF generating page. The FDF is generated and calls the PDF.
Strangely the redirect page had to be timed because an ASP or HTTP redirection wouldn't work. I had to use a JavaScript times redirection. I don't know what difference it made but it works now!!

Windows Update for Security Essentials causes FDF-PDF network opening a file error:Access Denied
We open PDF files on mapped network drives, using FDF forms with fields. The latest Windows Update (12/15/14) KB2310138 is now causing the Adobe Reader application to say "Access Denied". I know it is the update for sure. I have one computer WITH the update that gets the error, another without that doesn't. If I change the "/F" reference in the FDF to use a local "C:" copy of the PDF, there is no error message.
Cannot undo the Windows Update. Although it shows on the history list, when I go into "Installed Updates" to undo it, it is not listed there.

How do I send vars to a PDF file i built using Adobe Designer
7? I had a great CF script i would use to send to my old Pdf files
building an fdf file but that doesnt seem to work with these
designer 7 publications. Is it because its all XML?

How to generate PDF using FDF file and the PDF form template (PHP)

I'm really sorry that I couldn't follow all the valuable discussions going on here, regularly. I need some immediate help.
I NEED A PHP SOLUTION. I'm able to generate FDF files using the PDF Form Template in PHP. So, I have a collection of FDF files, which seeks the PDF template, while opened and populates the template with FDF data. Now if I need to save this PDF file, I have to do it manually clicking SAVE option. But, I need to convert FDF to PDF in bulk. So, I need some PHP based solution. The PHP script takes the PDF template and the FDF file and merges them to generate a complete populated PDF file. I know it's possible, but don't know how. I've seen Adobe FDF Toolkit. But by default it doesn't show any guideline for PHP. Please help me to write this code. I'm a professional coder. I can understand your hints and tutorials. PLEASE HELP GOOD PEOPLE.The only reason I am responding to this post is because the poster sent me a request through the forum message system asking for my help.
Although I did populate PDFs with FDF data generated by web forms a year or so ago, I have since abandoned that kind of solution. It was a big headache. I found it far more stable and flexible to use html, php and css to populate forms that are almost as nice looking as PDFs.
So my advice is, if you can possibly avoid going the FDF/PDF route, you will be better off. -
How to add 'application/pdf' to navigator.mimeTypes?
My office uses an online expense report app. In order to attach a receipt to an expense report, the site requires that you have Acrobat Reader installed. I like Preview just fine, thank you, and I want to find a way to fake out the app.
It turns out that the actual check that the app does is to run a little bit of Javascript to query the existence of navigator.mimeTypes['application/pdf'] and see if it's enabled. The trouble is that there's no such entry in Safari, presumably because PDFs aren't handled by a separate plugin. Is there any way I can force this to be set?
I've already tried installing the DefaultApps pref pane. That does show an 'application/pdf' mimetype which is correctly associated with Preview. The setting isn't being picked up by Safari, unfortunately.How to update an application icon? I've changed it in bundle, but iPhone shows the old one... restart didnt help.

I am using Dynamic CRM 2013 online. For quote, I have workflow and Dialogue processes for review process. On approval, I want the system to generate a PDF of quote report, attach the PDF and email it to the Customer.
Better I would like, When approver, clicks on the approve button, the system should auto generate a PDF of quote report, attach the PDF and email it to the Customer, without any further input from the user. If its not possible, I may have to put button on
quote form.

1. Under prepare the SOAP Message coding part, I am not sure what should be the below URL for CRM 2013 Online?

Hi,
I am using CRM ONLINE 2013.
How to automate below process?
1. On Approval Of Quotation, Run Report.
2. Generate PDF.
3. Send an Email With PDF as attachment.
As i have gone through many forums for this topic, but creating a plugin code for generating Report PDF is not possible in CRM ONLINE.
So, What is the alternate way to do this..?

Save SSRS Report as pdf using Reporting Services
I've been trying to convert a SSRS Report to PDF and save to
my local drive using the Reporting Web Services. Though I'm able to
generate the corresponding pdf file but the contents of the file are
missing. I've checked that the report I'm trying to convert is not an
empty one. Only the header section is present there within the generated
pdf files. Below is the code I'm using:

Result of this code is : there is a pop up asking to open or save pdf format and process is complete, but i have problem in downloaded file.
At the time of creation i have put BMP image for signature in PDF file and it is working fine but when i upload that file in Application server and then download it with above used code it save the PDF file but when i open that file so whereever i have used signature that page gives error and could not display that scanned signature.
Can anyone please help me in this regard.
or is there any possibility from which i can download that file just like File transfer from BSP.
Keep in mind that i am using BSP technology so all GUI based function module to download file are not working.

Converting Base64Binary to PDF document in BSP
Hello SDN users,
I am trying to get and display a pdf document from a webservice which is provided as a base64binary.
The interface of the webservice tells me that the response type (the actual pdf document) is an xsd:base64Binary.
The webservice proxy class generates an RAWSTRING for the pdf document as the response from the webservice call.
So my first guess was to use following class method to convert the base64binary to a normal string

returns a string containg something like %pdf...? This was not the case with my method call.
But on friday I found out why. the string I received from the webservice was actually an XSTRING which I found out during a debugging session. The method return parameter was declared as RAWSTRING so I assumed that I had to convert from Base64 to STRING and then to XSTRING. When I aborted all the converting routines
if_http_utility~decode_base64
and
CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING'
and passed the XSTRING to the ICM server cache I received the pdf I wanted.
But anyway If you could confirm my second question how a a decoded Base64 attribute should look like I would be very happy.

Download PDF file from Application Server in BSP

We have a requirement on which we want to download a PDF file stored in Application server using BSP application. I have used function module ARCHIVFILE_SERVER_TO_CLIENT but this FM will help only if i want to download file from GUI it won't work in BSP application.

I want to have a JSP that will be used to download/display files. I created
a test.jsp page that tries to return a test.pdf page. Whenever I run it,
the browser displays some characters and then hangs, but never displays the
pdf file. If I browse directly to the pdf file it displays fine in the

How to determine the mimetype of an uploaded file (GUI_UPLOAD)?
Hi everybody.
I use method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload to upload files and save the binary data in the database. to preview the filetype (pdf, doc, jpg, ...) later i also need to store the mimetype.
but how can I determine the mimetype of an uploaded file if several file extensions/formats are possible?

It says it can't find the jpegs, but is able to pass them to an app
iPhoto displays thumbnails of my jpegs, and when double-clicked, correctly passes the location to the editing app. The strange thing is, after all that, a window pops up saying it can't find the files. Since the editor was able to locate the files ba
