Missing ant package while compiling in NetBeans IDE

hi all,
I am having problem compiling in NetBeans IDE 5.0. The error is package org.apache.tools.ant not found. I have installed apache-ant-1.6.5-bin and jdk1.5.0_07. Are these enough? The library files are in jar format. How can I tell if I having missing package "org.apache.tools.ant "?
I am new to ANT tools and NetBeans. Can someone help?
Thanks.

i have tried with other projects and no problem. Only this project.
What classes do I need to add into the project?

    Is there any reason that you are using 3.6? I am using 5.5.
    anyway the forName method returns the Class object associated with the class or interface with the given string name.
    so for the given:
    Class.forName("ClassName");
    The Class.forName method must be used with care in JRE code. A call
    of the type Class.forName(classname) can only be assumes to find classes on the bootclasspath, since it does a look up on the callers classloader

  • How to remove ANT Validation while Compiling SCA or BPEL in 11.1.1.4

    SOA/SCA/BPEL Gurus,
    As you know, sometimes we have to use the runtime WSDL URL directly in the BPEL process when invoking an external web service (say OSB). But then the service needs to be always available when deploying thru' ANT script as it validates and compiles. It has been a big problem whenever I deploy the BPEL if the invoking service (OSB) is down. On the other hand, the OSB deploys fine using ANT when the SCA is down.
    I am expecting the BPEL should throw an error only at the runtime but not at design or deployment time like OSB.
    Now my question is,
    Though we all know we can resolve this by importing the WSDL/XSD to the project, I would like to know if there is a way to Disable/Remove the Validation part in the ANT Script so that it can create the jar/sar file and deploy to the server.
    FYI -
    The error is thrown out from ant-sca-compile.xml and the target is <target name="scac" description="Compile and validate a composite">

    Bala,
    On the other hand, the OSB deploys fine using ANT when the SCA is down. OSB always needs a local copy of WSDL/XSD. It never references any WSDL/XSD over network at design,deployment or runtime.
    I am expecting the BPEL should throw an error only at the runtime but not at design or deployment time like OSB. For building and validating the process components at deployment time, XSD/WSDL's must be available otherwise server may end up deploying incorrect/invalid configurations. So I don't think SOA is doing anything unexpected. In case you don't want to import artifacts into project then you have two other options -
    1. Use MDS for sharing artifacts
    2. Use UDDI (Universal Description Discovery and Integration). Oracle recommends Oracle Service Registry 11g (OSR). The advantage is that you can use OSR and SOA Suite in a Shared WebLogic Domain.

    Hi Hussain,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Were you able to compile the form at the client side successfully?
    1) Were you able to compile the form at the client side successfully?:
    Ans: Yes, I was able to compile the form successfully at client side.
    2) Are you logged in as applmgr user? Have you sourced the application env file before compiling the form?
    Ans: No, I have not logged by applmgr user, i am using my own login. Yes I have sourced the application env file before compiling the form
    3) What does "echo $FORMS_PATH" return?

  • Please Help.  NetBeans IDE Problem + rt.jar.  Trouble compiling MIDlets.

    Hi all. For the past few weeks I have undertaken learning Java for mobile devices. I am having a slight problem with NetBeans 5.5 which I would appreciate help in fixing.
    Currently installed on my system:-
    - Wireless Toolkit 2.5
    - NetBeans IDE 5.5 + Mobility Pack
    - j2sdk1.4.2_13
    - jdk1.6.0
    - jre1.6.0
    - javaee sdk5_02
    (So pretty much every Java application!)
    Now the problem. Basically, if I import the following at the beginning for my MIDlet...
    import java.io.*;
    import java.text.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.sql.*;... the java.sql has red line underneath saying "package does not exist". Now, what I found is that I need to import .jar files into the Library section. I managed to fix the javax.servlet package and some others, by importing the correct .jar files, but I found that to remove the red line for java.sql I need rt.jar.
    However, this is located under one of my jre folders and not the j2me / jdk folders I have. Even though it removes the red line, when I compile the project I keep receiving "PREVERIFY" errors and "CONSTANT POOL" errors.
    Yet, if I remove the rt.jar file, these go away, but it won't compile then because it says the package is missing (back to square one!).
    So, any ideas please??? I have spent days and days just adding random .jar files to try and fix the problem but to no avail. An example of current imported .jar files in NetBeans:-
    - rt.jar
    - midpapai.zip
    - jdbc.jar
    - servlet.jar
    - runtime12.jar
    - classes12.jar
    - ojdbc.jar
    Try not to be too technical, I've only just started out. Lol. Thanks in advance!!

    well... J2ME world is quite diffirent from usual Java. Actually you will not be able to use much of the staff, that you have imported, including java.io.* (it will be only available in CDC), java.servlet.*, java.servlet.http.*, java.sql.*
    So don't even try to find where are those packages are located....
    Try from simple tutorial like:
    http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/wtoolkit/
    Or from documentation on Netbeans.org:
    http://www.netbeans.org/kb/trails/mobility.html

    Now when I try drop this package or user,
    I get ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [psdtyfnd_with_suffix], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
    There is no possibility to drop, recompile, replace this package. Everithing ends with error. There is no other object in scheme.
    Even package has no body. So I try to create it. Package body was created with warnings but I still can't see it. When I create it again then I get ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object.

    HI Stuart,
    you are missing the jar files required for sending mail in java
    Installing JavaMail
    You will need the latest version of JavaMail (Version 1.2) available here:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/
    Download and unzip the file, in the newly created top level JavaMail directory you will find a number of jar files,
    these need adding to your classpath.
    To do this in Eclipse, right click on your project in the tree view, select properties, select the libraries tab.
    Now click the 'Add external jars' button, navigate to your JavaMail directory and click on the jars.
    The tutorial also makes use of the Java Activation Framework, which is available here:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/glasgow/jaf.html
    Instalation of JAF is identical to JavaMail
    activation.jar / mail.jar are 2 distinct names i remember rest you will get above
    P.S: close the question to assist other users narrow the search and find solutions

  • Help! ORA-03113 while compiling certain packages!

    Hello everyone
    Recently we migrated our PLSQL code from Oracle 8.1.7.0 to 9.2.0.4.
    While compiling our packages in 9i, we are getting the ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel error.
    This happens only when we compile two particular packages.
    And then when we connect again immediately, and recompile the same package, it gets compiled.
    This is only happening for two packages, frequently. All other packages are not giving this error.
    Why could this be happening? Any pointers to this would really help.
    Thanks
    Bob

    ORA-3113 often throws a .TRC file in the USER_DUMP_DEST directory. That might give you a clue.

  • Preverification Error while using kXML with Netbeans IDE

    Hello All,
    I am using Netbeans IDE for wrting a program that parses a xml using
    kXML and display some results on screen.
    The Netbeans IDE gives the various obfuscation levels.
    The code is properly compiled at any level less than the
    highest obfuscation level. If I compile it at HIGH obfuscation level then it gives the following error-----

    How can we obfuscate the program using highest level of obfuscation.
    Thanks
    Vikas

    Thanks Peace,
    But I am facing the same problem even when I use the source java files of kXML and include those in my project and use them as additional classes to my class.
    It again builds properly when I don't use the highest obfuscation level.
    But if I try to obfuscate using Level HIGH it throws the same error.
    However when I try to run this project from J2ME Wireless Toolkit, it is running fine on the emulator.
    I guess the error is something specific to Netbeans IDE. Have anyone of you encountered such a bizzare error.
    Thanks,

Is there a sample ant script to compile, package, and deploy to Oracle AS 10g that I can run from command line? The build.xml that came with SRDEMO only do the compilation, not packaging and deployment. I was able to modify the SRDEMO's build.xml to compile my test app though. I still need the script to package and deploy it.

  • I have a problem compiling servlets bymeans of NetBeans IDE 3.6.

    If I compile a servlet by means of another IDE, they are oK and work well with NetBeans too.
    On the contrary, if I compile it bymeans of Netbeans 3.6, I get a .class which does not work. I
    have realized also that for instance if the .class i get with the other IDE is 1,58 KB, if I use
    NetBeans I get a .class smaller, that is 1,53 Kb.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

    import java.io.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    public class Contatore extends HttpServlet
    private int conta;
    public void init(ServletConfig config) throws ServletException
    conta = 0;
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest richiesta, HttpServletResponse risposta)
    throws IOException, ServletException
    conta++;
    risposta.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = risposta.getWriter();
    out.println("<html>");
    out.println("<head>");
    out.println("<title>Pagina con contatore</title>");
    out.println("</head>");
    out.println("<body>");
    out.println("Questa pagina e' stata visualizzata");
    out.println("<h1>"+conta+ "</h1> volte.");
    out.println("</body>");
    out.println("</html>");
    out.close();
