Missing Character Types at iWork08

Iv a relative new MB Pro (app. 6 weeks) and the brand new iWork08. When I started iWork the Mac gives following error: "Missing character type: Copperplate", Missing caracter type: BlackmoorLetPlain".
I am wondering, because the Apple out of the box solution (hard- and software from one vendor) did not work. What is the problem an who can help?

  • Character types missing...

    hello,
    i always get this message 'character types missing, replaced by the standard charactertype helvetica.
    How can i get this message away, or maybe even put the missing charactertype back, whick is optional to me,
    thanx!
    read ya, lucas

    Not sure this will help but I'm wondering if you might have a duplicate font issue ....
    try going into Macintosh HD >Applications > Font Book, then look for
    fonts that have a black dot beside them. Highlight these fonts, then from the menu bar select > Edit > Resolve Duplicates to turn these fonts off. Hope this helps but if not come on back.
    Good luck.

  • Missing character

    A missing "µ" character was discovered from files created in an earlier version (Illustrator 10), then opened and saved in CS6 - original characters dropped out, such as "µ", "±", etc. No warnings were indicated. Even the space where the character resided in, "disappeared".
    If anyone has a clue why this happened, or can tell me how to search for the error, I would appreciate it. My company has asked that I audit all our drawings (thousands).

    Laura,
    we used the same font
    Are you entirely sure?
    Whoever created the files may have used special glyphs/characters from at least one different special font (the MU could be from a Greek font or from a math font, the plus/minus (without a slash could very well be from a math font. In other words mixing the font(s) in.
    Even the space where the character resided in, "disappeared".
    I take it this means that the gap is closed so you can no longer see where they should be. Is there only a single space between the words/numbers that had surrounded each (you can see it using the Type Tool)?
    I am afraid it will be a rather difficult task.

  • Increasing Character Type

    Hi,
    I am working in oracle 9i and linux 2.4. in this i am using CLOB for one Column .But if i edit more than 4000 bytes it is not updating.Please tell me if any other character type is used to edit more than 4000 bytes . i need to update maximum of 8000 bytes.
    2. Tell me the maximum bytes used in varchar2( )
    Cheers,
    Gobi.

    The CREATE TABLE statement you posted isn't valid syntax. You don't specify the length of a CLOB column
    SCOTT @ nx102 JCAVE9420> create table a( col1 clob );
    Table created.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.14
    SCOTT @ nx102 JCAVE9420> create table b( col1 clob(4000) );
    create table b( col1 clob(4000) )
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.01Realistically, this is not a problem that anyone in this forum can solve for you. Oracle supports CLOBs that are multiple GB in size. There is no Oracle limitation in writing more than 4000 bytes to a CLOB. If you have a tool that has such a limitation, that is a problem that has to be taken up with the tool vendor's support organization. There may be bugs in the tool that cause it to treat a CLOB as if it were a VARCHAR2(4000), there may be a configuration setting you're missing, there may be a patch that's required. Only the vendor of your particular tool (or a forum dedicated to that particular tool) would know for sure.

  • Unicode  - "DMBTR" must be a character-type field (data type C,N,D or T)

    Greetings Experts!
    I am trying to convert legacy code to Unicode for a current ERP6.0 reinstallation and have encountered the syntax error "DMBTR" must be a character-type field (data type C,N,D or T)
    The field is part of a structure and the fields attributes are as follows:
    COMPONENT = DMBTR
    COMPONENT TYPE = DMBTR
    DATA TYPE = CURR
    LENGTH = 13
    DECIMALS = 2
    DESCRIPTION = Amount in Local Currency
    The code in question is as follows:-
    macro Move_Zoned.
    Converts a numeric variable to zoned format and moves it to a
    target variable.
    DEFINE move_zoned.
         &1 - source variable
         &2 - Number of Decimal Places
         &3 - 'To'
         &4 - Target Variable.
      write &1 to w_zoned no-grouping decimals &2.
      condense w_zoned.
         Remove the Decimal Points.
      search w_zoned for '...'.

    Is there a solution to get past this syntax error as I would rather not change the datatype of the field in the structure.

    Bob, thanks for your response.. Yes, the code works fine outside of SQLCLR. This is the class I'm trying to instantiate, I'm using it to envolve Cryptographer, an Enterprise Library 5.0 class actually, so I have no control to test it without referring the

  • Non-character-type structure need to be written in ASCI File in Unicode sys

    Hi Gurus,
    I am trying to write a structure into a ASCI file iapplication server.
    My code is as follows.
    data : ls_header type BBP_PDS_CTR_HEADER_D ,
           lv_filename TYPE  rlgrap-filename VALUE '/interface/AEE/IN/kalandi'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PD_CTR_GETDETAIL'
    EXPORTING
       I_OBJECT_ID               = '4000000196'
    IMPORTING
       E_HEADER                  = ls_header.
    open dataset lv_filename for output in text mode encoding default .
    if sy-subrc = 0.
    transfer ls_header to lv_filename.
    close dataset lv_filename.
    endif.
    but it ives a dump .
    Error is :
        "TRANSFER f TO ..."
    only character-type data objects are supported at the argument position
    "f".
    In this case. the operand "f" has the non-character-type
      "BBP_PDS_CTR_HEADER_D". The
    current program is a Unicode program. In the Unicode context, the type
    'X' or structures containing not only character-type components are
    regarded as non-character-type.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Points will be awared for appropriate Answers.
    Regards
    kalandi

    Hi,
    I think here ls_header and lv_filename are not compatible to transfer the data.

  • Function module to convert character type to required data type

    Hi,
    Is there a function module which can convert data in character type to any other required data type?
    Like i have a date 12.2.2008 and it is stored as character now i want to convert it into type d.
    so that when i use
    Describe field <field_name> type <type>.
    statement afterwards then it gives me  D not C as its data type.
    The requirement does'nt stick to conversion of just one data type.I need an FM which can convert data in character type to any data type.
    Hope you understood the problem.
    Thanks for your time.

    My zagg key board connects but the keys I type either don't type character, type 2 characters that are different when I hit only 1 key, or doesn't type at all. Is there a way to reset zagg keyboard to factory settings?

    Recharging is a good thing to try. They do start to act odd when the battery gets low. Beyond that, just like Tom says, contact Zagg. I have one of their keyboards and the company has wonderful customer service.

    i have read thread on the forum suggesting  to work on OMJJ transaction and make 121 movement type as statistics relevant.
    But i want to know how this action will effect on R/3 update controlling ?
    any inputs will b a grt help
    Edited by: Rajesh Dalwadi on Jan 13, 2009 12:09 PM

    Hi,
    We faced lot of problems with missing movement type, fo that we taken correct confirmation from MM team and then added it in Update Rules and deleted the data in Cube and then Re-Initialized the Cube.
    To do this, you need ECC Down Time. I'm talking about BW 3.5. I think in BI7, it may be easy, (without taking down time, pls check).
    Thanks

  • How to convert strings into character type?

    I have created a function module which will display the attributes of the fields of the structure/table by using "DESCRIBE FIELD" command. The problem is that it supports only character-type data objects and the program goes into dump
    if the structure contain any string type.

    Please have a look at class CL_ABAP_DATADESCR. Using this instances of this class should provide all information needed...
