Missing Data in 0FI_GL_4 delta loads.

Hello All,
We successfully loaded the 0FI_GL_4 related ODS upto 02/06. We turned on delta loads for the same from 03/06. The data validation team has discoved that there is missing data in 03 and 04. I plan on resetting the delta queue in R3 and reinitialize a full load until april. Here are my questions
1) Are there any specific steps i would need to follow?
2) Are their any other better alternatives then reinitializing with the full load.

Initialization Concept :
I will explain this with an example.
You have 5 company codes (CCs) (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000) in your R/3 source system.
But your client wants reporting in BW only for 3 Company codes (CCs) (1000, 2000, 3000).
In that case, there is no point in bringing the data for other 2 CCs.
So during Initialization, you give the inputs as,
CC = 1000, 2000, 3000 and do a Initialization (With or Without Data transfer)
So henceforth, when Delta is pulled, any changes corresponding to CCs 1000, 2000, 3000 only will be captured.
Eventhough there are changes in 4000 & 5000, they will not be captured in the Delta.

we run this process chain every day.
we select delta settings is New status for changed records.

Hi Anju,
Please ensure that you are following the below steps while Initilizing the application 13:
1. All the users in source system, must be locked.
2. Ensure that SMQ1 and RSA7 are having no data for application 13. Delete the application 13 datasource entries from RSA7.
3. Delete and refill the setup tables for application 13.
4. Run a INIT with data transfer load for the required datasources of application 13.
5. The Deltas can follow from the next day.
This will ensure that your deltas are fetching correct data. Note that, delta will pick up the same conditions on which the INIT load was run.

Data Recovery from delta loads

Hi Everybody,
We pull GL Item data from R/3 to BW on a nightly basis using the 0FI_GL_4 extractor using delta updates with a process chain.
The process normally starts around 01:00 CST. At around 01:37, there was a problem with the database for R/3 and our extraction job was cancelled. No data was transferred to BW. No PSA entries were created in BW.
Later on, we executed the same process chain again. This time, the process chain completed successfully. However, the system said there were no new delta records. Since it is in the middle of the week and
there are only a few days until month end financial close, we should have many GL records.
We need to find out if we lost any GL data, and if so, how is the best way to recover.

Hello Srini,
Goto Delta Queue, RSA7 -> Display Data enteries -> there you select Delta Repetition option for update mode and then execute. Now you should be able to see some records for the extractor. Then pull it into BW.

Missing PO's from delta loads.

Hi All,
I am facing a peculiar problem as following:
Datasource : 2lis_02_scl
r/3 field :elikz(final delivery indicator)
Update mode is 'delta' to one ODS.
Loads are correctly running as expected but recently noticed that BW field 'final delivery' is not getting updated for many PO's.In R/3 PO's having recent values for the field 'elikz' ,which ideally should have come as part of deltas in BW but unfortunately this is not happening.
Since I am not sure about the exact number of PO's missing in BW ( not sync with R/3) , so I cannot pull these pariticulars PO's with 'full repair request'.
If anyone encountered this kind of issue or have some clue about the reason, please revert.

Did you solve this issue? I have a simialr issue even a full repair request of certain POs did not solve the issue. The field ELIKZ is filled wrong in BI.

Why can't see enhanced data by delta loading

Hi Pros,
I have done enhancement in 0CA_TS_IS_1, which constantly retrieve information and append them into data package, then I tested it in RSA3, successfully. also I load data from this 0CA_TS_IS_1 by full loading, it successes. but when I load data using existing delta load infopackage, there is no expected data loaded. ( ie. there is no enhanced data appended).

Put a debug breakpoint in your code, and then run RSA3 again in Update Mode delta (D).
Check if the debugger goes into your breakpoint - it should.
If it doesn't , it may be your user exit is not activated correctly, or there is some clause in your code (check for IF-ELSEIFs) that bypasses the customer exit only during delta loads.
I hope you did the user exit correctly, because these things normally do not happen at all when implemented correctly. There are a 101 different things that could've gone wrong when these things happen. My advice is to check and re-check your user exit code in the program ZXRSAU01 to make sure everything is setup correctly.

Are u deleting the indexes of data target before delta loading ? If not,delete the indexes of data target before delta loading and recreate them after delta loading is done.This procedure increase load performance.You can perform whole procedure in process chain.

Delta Load failure from ODS to Cube

Experts,
After CRM upgrade, I had to reinitilized the delta process. In this, I reloaded ODS with first init delta without data and then delta load with new data created in CRM. This worked good so far. After this when I tried to load cube with init. delta without data, no issues. But delta load from ODS to Cube doesn't work. Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

As far as i understood, you have successful deltas' loading to the ODS and you want to update entire ODS data to the Cube followed by daily delta's.
If this is the case,
Make sure that you have active update rules exist between ODS and Cube.
First goto your ODS and right click and select option 'Update ODS data in data target'.
Select Init update > IT will take you to the init info package where you select init with data transfer (Init with data transfer will bring all the records from ODS to Cube)
Once init is completed ,you can schedule to load delta's regularly form ODS to Cube by following the same steps.

Issue with delta load from R/3 to BW

Hi frnds,
There is a standarded D.S 2LIS_05_ITEM in R/3. Evereday We extraceted data from R/3 to BW based on this standard Data Source with delta load.There are two fields ZX and ZY in BW ,some times the data haven't extracted for this 2 fields in BW with the delta update.But some times this 2 fields properly extracted in to BW with the same delta update.
Why is it happen like this ? Please give some inputs on this.

if its a standard field then its getting populated in correct way.
if its custom field then you need to analyze the records for which its getting populated and for one which its not.
Quite possible that some cutomization in CMOD results in this behaviour.
Also,check underlying tables to see the correct values.

How to go about multiple inclination with different data selection in Delta

We have to copy large amount of data ( more than 42lak of recodes) selectivly from on ODS to other ODS. in delata load ( BW 3.5 enverioment)
I thought of loading data in slices through delta loading with selection condition.
step 1> Do The initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2001 ( Init without data transfer )
step 2> Take the delta load .. it will take all delta record with same selection
step 3> Now I want to do Initialization with selection condition as for calyear =2002
step 4> take the delta now it will take delta for year 2001 and 2002 both Right ?
Here what problem I am facing.. while doing 2nd time initialization it prompt me to delete the last initialization request form scheduler menu.
if i delete the last request .. will it take the delta for previous initialization selection and new initialization selection. ?

You are correct with this scenario normally. The message you mentioned normally comes up when you open a infopackage and don't change the selection first or in case you have overlapping selections with an already done init.

0BPARTNER delta load problem

Hi All,
For 0BPARTNETR master data , its a delta load and infopackage is showing red but request inside the Data Target is green with 0 added records. But some times it picks the delta figures and sometimes it will show 0 added records . Please assist me regarding this .

When there are no changes in the master records in R/3 then 0 records will come in delta..
if only records are created or modified then only it will pull delta..records.
Now when request is red you can make its status red manually i.e status not okay and then run repeat delta and check if load is happening...
in infopackage settings..we sometimes put the status preference green or yellow if its stuck for long time...you can check this out ...go to infopackage menu bar and left top corner you can see those options..

Hi,
Full Load :- When all the records are transferred to data target from data source.
Pseudo Delta :- Its a Full data load with some selections like calenadar month , fiscal period or any other IO filter in the DTP or IP.
Init Data Load :- Its required before starting any delta load. It puts the data mart status to the data source after data load . It can be with or without data transfer.
Delta load :- Data load of the changed data after the Initialization of the data source. It loads all the data arrived in the data source after initialization or which do not have data mart status set.

Skipped delta loads

Hi,
I skipped loading the data for the delta loads for about a week ago, that is, I have not scheduled the load daily, I suppose that if I load now, will that be enough to get all the delta changes between last week and now? Is it necessary to schedule the delta load daily?

If you have not loaded delta since one week next della load will pick up all the data since last delta load. Whether to schedule daily or weekly depends on how frequent data changes on the source and how much lag in data in source & BW is acceptable to business users . Transaction data delta load is mostly daily and master data can be weekly / monthly .

Issues with Delta Loads.

I hope you don’t mind to provide a suggestion about the delta load of Purchase Orders.
There was a request from Procurement team and they complaint that the data is not looking right.
For example: for a given purchase order the exemption flag is displayed as ADE.
Before change:
Purchase Doc Number
Puchase Exemption flag
90002106
ADE
They want this to be displayed as:
After Change :
Purchase Doc Number
Puchase Exemption flag
90002106
So ABAPER has included the logic in ECC Functional Module to populate the Extract Structure for Data Source to display above result. But the overnight run didn’t pick up the changes to above record in BW. The loads are delta loads.
So my Question is:
· This load for the Infocube Purchase Orders is delta load. Does change to Function Module will pick up the changes to old records as well? I mean if we are doing delta load does the old records gets changed and updated in CUBE or should I delete the data from all the PSA and Infocube and run the load into CUBE to pick up the changes. Am bit worried about deleting the data from Infocube as it may have history data (because of delta load). Total records in cube are 800000 records.
· Another question does the process chain trigger the function module to load the data into Extract Structure of data source in ECC (am bit confused about this process in ECC)?
Please suggest me how can I capture those changed records?
Any help would be much appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info.

I am little confused from your post. You are using 2lis_02_SCL or the generic FM datasource?.
Also it looks like new custom field added in your client. I never saw any purchase exemption flag even though i am working in purchasing flow for last 2 years.
W.r.t purchasing , deletion flag will be there which will come from EKPO and have the values S or L ( Deleted or Blocked).
You can block or delete a PO aslong as GR was not happened. Other wise you can do it. So use the EKPO-LOEKZ for your use.

Delta Loads are not working: 0FI_GL_10 With enhancement : HR Data in source

Hello Friends. Thanks for your answer on theory which I know, Please help me with this situation. I read all the sdn response to my message and have below for your suggestion
QUES1: Why the 0RECORDMODE is not coming in Standard DSO and hence it is not there in Transformation in between Infosource and DSO. What do I need to include 0RECORDMODE in standard DSO. What is the correct OSS to Implement on SP 10 to solve this.
Ques2. As suggested by you If I run the Delta loads after waiting for 1 hour of Init load. say init load was done at 11 am . i will do the delta at 12:10 am to psa via Infopack and then wait for an hour to run the DTP from PSA to DSO. Delta Records come in but it also bring in the records in DSO that are not changed from about 7 hours in ECC. and make our total Balance incorrect.
Ques3: We have this Cocatenation of Keys in DSO since we exceeded the total number of 13 key in DSO.
Cocatenation#1 GL ACCT and CHRT OF ACCTS
Cocatenation#1 SEGMENT AND CONT AREA
Cocatenation#1 Version, Value Typem, Valuation view, Currency Type.

Since business want to include HR Data in Keys Like Employee Number, Emp Code, EMPSPIMCODE. Payroll ID and I can not remove these fields from Key in DSO as per the business.
Also the above fields GL ACCT , CHRT OF ACCTS, SEGMENT, CONT AREA
exist in Data FIELDS OF DSO. so what are the steps to modify the design to fix this asap.

Did the full load bring all records from sourcesystem to PSA?
Was this an issue with the first delta you have tested ?
Concatentaion of multiple keys into one should not be an issue here as that must have been happening in DSO and delta brings incorrect records to PSA itself.
Are you validating delta records against FAGLFLEXT inputing the timestamp value or RSA3 ..how ?

Is delta bringing incorrect records to PSA or DTP brings incorrect records to DSO from PSA ?
May be you should revisit the logic behind for the enhancement of 0FI_GL_10.
I am facing a similar issue as well but here delta doesnot even bring a single record ( ODS has 20 keys )...will update if resolves and you do the same.
