Missing data in EWA session

Hi All,
we have succesfully done EWA session for non-ABAP system (Enterprise Portal 7.0).
However inside the report we can't find several information:
- in section 1.1 Hardware Configuration n° of CPU and Memory are not describe
- in Java Performance not all part are pull out.
Some one can help to solve this issue?
Many thanks.

Hello Alesandro,
If the data is in the Workload analysis, this means that SMD wrote the data to the Solman BI.
As I refered to earlier SAP Note 1332428 has a trouble shooting guide attached for non-ABAP systems.
Things you may want 6to check now is the BI RFC is properly defined in the the proper table.E2E_WA_CONFIG.
You want to retrieve the RFC destination so you can check the RFC. This transfers the data from the BI to the Service Session.
You want to check the RFC user has the correct authorizations and role SAP_BI_EXE.
The person executing the session will need SAP_SM_BI_EXTRACTOR.
You want to make sure the data is beign aggegated, so check E2E_HK_CONTROLLER is runnign without issue and the
0SMD_PE2H has data and is reflected in 0SMD_PE2D.
Again these steps and more are int he Troubleshooting guide attached to SAP Note 1332428, so that would  be your next step. Download the note, extract the guide and follow it. This should lead you to the problem.

Paul

  • EWA" Dates for this session are overdue "

    Dear All,
    Im now configuring EWA report but i always got Red Flag for the satillite system said that  "Dates for this session are overdue"  and there is no two bottle apear.  please help me..
    Thanks so much.

    Hi,
    That error is because your managed system is not sending the required EWA data to your SolMan for processing.
    Please check the following to make sure all steps are correct for EWA processing:
    Check RFCs in Solution Manager to your system that the EWA is for.
    Also check the Back RFC to SolMan in the managed system.
    Also check in the managed system, transaction SDCCN and make sure the maintenance package is running and scheduled periodically!
    Finally ensure the Task Processor is active and scheduled in SolMan via transaction SDCCN > Goto > Settings > Task Processor.
    Lastly check in the managed system that the RFC for the maintenance package is set to your SolMan via transaction SDCCN > Goto > Settings > Task Specific > icon next to RFC Destinations > Settings. Ensure the Back RFC to SolMan is set as the master.
    To do this, go to SMSY in SolMan > Environment > SolMan Operations > Administration SDCCN and ensure your managed system is there and SolMan is the master.
    You may even have outstanding jobs for this system in SDCCN of SolMan which you can run to process the EWA data if you do not have a periodic Maintenance Package correctly running in SolMan.
    All of these checks will solve your issue and make sure EWA is working.
    If you find the answer, please post what the mistake was, I am curious

  • Problem in EWA session data sent to SAP

    Hi all,
    I am trying to finalise EWA for all my SAP production instances. So far I am able to send EWA session to my Solution manager system or to SAP directly (i.e. to O01)
    In the solution manager system under the edit Solution option there is a button "setup EWA". After clicking on this  and enabling EWA, there is a check box which says "Send to SAP". I have enabled this check box.
    Now does this mean that when the EWA session data arrives in the Solution Manager system, it is also sent to SAP ?
    This was my understanding of the checkbox. Also when the EWA report arrives in the Solution Manager system, there is an envelope icon against the report. The tooltip of the icon says "Session data sent to SAP". However when I look at the service channel inbox the session is not visible.
    Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be ?
    regards,
    Kevin Hill

    Hi all,
    This is what SAP had to say.
    quote from SAP reply *********
    Please note that not every session follows this path:
    Satellite system -> Solution Manager system -> SAP.
    All red sessions are forwarded like this. If all is well, and the sessions are always rated green and yellow, only 1 session per system is forwarded every 4 weeks. None of these forwarded sessions create Service Messages. We have access to the actual session and data, and the customer already has the corresponding reports in the Solution
    Manager System.
    The reports sent to SAP are for SAP's records only. They are not sent back through Service Messages. If you send a red report to SAP, SAP will investigate the cause of the red rating and contact you. It is not possible to receive these reports back on the SAP Service
    MarketPlace.
    The only sessions that create Service Messages are those sent directly to SAP ( without Solution Manager). They are created as per SAP Note 207223, and the session numbers in SDCC start Z...xx.
    quote from SAP reply *********
    Well that settles it I guess. However it definitely was not clear from the FAQ and the docs. SAP's reply makes sense as there is no reason why the session report should be available in both the Solman system as well in the services messages.

    Kevin Hill

  • ORA-19612: datafile 0 not restored due to missing data

    Hello,
    I'm testing a restore of the controlfile. The database is in archivelog mode and autobackup is set to ON. I successfully did a full backup and backup as copy database.
    To test I did the following:
    - note the DBID
    - shutdown the database
    - renamed both controlfiles:

  • EWA session not created after refresh_session in SDCCN

    Hi All,
    I have configured EWA in our SolMan 7.1 for our managed system SAP BW 7.0, and to test it, I've been trying to create an adhoc EWA report manually. However, after the completion of refresh_session tasks in the managed system's SDCCN, no EWA session is being created.
    I have already followed instructions in SAP Note 1769513 - EWA not generated - session data is overdue (red flag status), but I'm still stuck with this error.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You are using solution manager 7.1, so here are couple on KBAs which can help you to get the EWAs.
    1907383 - How to setup and troubleshoot EarlyWatch Alert reports in SAP Solution Manager 7.1
    1924199 - EarlyWatch Alert Management SP10+
    Also follow the recommendations of RTCCTOOL.
    To generate an Ad-hoc EWA, yo can look into this wiki.
    How to create an Ad Hoc EWA report in Solution Manager 7.1 - Solution Manager - SCN Wiki
    Further, to understand and troubleshoot, please read the EWA workflow

  • Showing Grey Colour on EWA session

    Hi,
       When iam creating EWA i did all settings in satelite systems.after that in my solution manger its showing the before  EWA session showing grey colour(showing only 2 pages).in right side i cliked genrated word report its showing only 2 pages.what could be the reason for this.
    Thanku

    Hi David,
    We too in same race.
    As mentioned in note 762696, I found that EWA is scheduled for the same date to both of our Satelite System(DEV - System ID) as well as the Solution Manager System(SMD - System ID).
    So i manually actiavted the task of EWA(EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager) of SMD.
    But the log ends with more warnings. The same list of warnings we get at my Satelite System(DEV) also.

  • Help needed with missing data problem in CRVS2010

    We recently upgraded the reporting engine in our product to use Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 (previously engine was CR9). Our quote report, which has numerous subreports and lots of conditional formatting, started losing data when a quote took more than a single page to be printed. We knew the SQL results included the data, but the report was not printing those lines at all or sometimes printing a partial line. In addition, the running total on the report would exclude the lines that were being missed on the next page. In one example submitted by a customer, 3 lines were skipped between pages.
    I think I have identified two potential issues that document the possibility of data not being included in the report.
    The first potential issue is an issue with the "suppress blank section" option being checked. This issue is supposedly fixed with ADAPT01483793, being released someday with service pack 2 for CRVS2010.
    The second potential issue is using shared variables. This issue is supposedly fixed with ADAPT01484308, also targeted for SP2.
    Our quote report does not explicitly use shared variables with any of the subreports, but it does have several subreports, each in its own section that has the "supress blank section" option checked. We have other reports that use this feature, as well, and they are not exhibiting the problem.
    One different thing about the quote report is that it has a section with multiple suppression options selected. The section has a conditional suppression formula, which controls whether the section is included at all within the report. The section also has the suppress blank section option selected. There are multiple fields within the report that are each conditionally suppressed. In theory, the section's suppress formula could evaluate to true, yet all of the fields within the section are suppressed (due to null values), and then the "suppress blank section" option would kick in.
    The missing data only seems to happen when the section is not being suppressed, and at least one of the fields is being included in the report. If I clear the "suppress blank section" check box, and change the section formula to also include the rules applied to the fields in the section, the missing data problem seems to be resolved.
    Is this related to ADAPT01483793? Will it be fixed in service pack 2?
    If more details are needed, I would be happy to provide a sample report with stored data.

    Hi Don,
    Have a look at the Record Selection formula in CR Designer ( stand alone ) and when exported to RPT format opening that report in the Designer also.
    There's been a few issues with => logic in the record selection formula. It could be you are running into this problem. Look for NOT inserted into your selection formula.
    Oh and SP2 is coming out shortly so it may resolve the issue. But if you want you could purchase a support, or if you have a support contract then create a case in SMP and get a rep to work with you to debug the issue.
    If you have not try the Trial Version of CR 2011, put it on a VM-ware image or Test PC so you don't corrupt anything for production and have a look at and test it in that designer also. If you purchase a case and it is a bug then you'll get a credit back for the case.

    I have configured SDCCN both on Solution manager 7.1 and Managed System.
    In the solution manager, i can find EWA session for managed system.
    The question is : When i run "Refresh sessions" on the T-code: SDCCN of Managed system, it can not retrive EWA session where exist on the Solution manager.
    How do i do? Can someone help, please.

    Wu

    after reconfiguration in new client,
    Follow Note 727998 - Complete Replacement of Service Definitions for SDCC/SDCCN
    step 1 :
    in the solution manager:
    1.1 run report  BDL_DELETE_ALL_TABLES in SE38
    1.2 SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
           Ensure that connection 'NONE' and SDCC_OSS is maintained, and that the 'master'
    1.3 Execute a "service definition refresh" in SDCCN
    1.4 Delete any task 'Maintenance Package' in the 'To do' tab in SDCCN.
    1.5 Create a new periodic task 'Maintenance Package' in SDCCN
    1.6 Call function module /BDL/_GENERATE_LOGFUNCINCLUDES in SE37
            Assign the value 'ALL' to the import parameter 'OPTION' (keep the default values for all other parameters) and execute the module.
    1.7 Execute "refresh session" in SDCCN
    step 2:
    in the managed system:
    1.1 run report  BDL_DELETE_ALL_TABLES in SE38
    1.2 SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
           Ensure that only connection SM_<SOL>_BACK' (delete SDCC_OSS )is maintained, and that the 'master'
    1.3 Execute a "service definition refresh" in SDCCN

    When i checked the parameter file i can see the value assigned to the $DBConnection_OLAP. The same tasks ran successfully when i ran the ETL process for Complete 11.5.10 for the first time. I did not change anything after that and also all these are came built-in with the installation of Oracle BI Applications.
    Please anyone give me an idea what is causing the problem.
    Thanks,

    in DAC > Run History > Task Details, query
    Name = SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary
    Open Status Description, look for string -lpf, the file after it is the actual parameter file DAC send to INFA server. E.g
    -lpf D:\DACTOPUS\Informatica\parameters\SDE_ORAR12_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary.txt
    Open the parameter file, most likely the [session_name] does not match with SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Derive_Full or some parameters are missing.

  • Missing Data from Legacy System

    Hello All,
    My client went live end of January this year. They had a month of transaction data in their legacy system which they did not bring into SAP. Since this is their first year on SAP and recently implemented Extended Withhold Tax one month data is missing; when they run the 1099s at the end of the year they are going to be reported incorrectly.
    How can we bring over that missing data from legacy system over to SAP without having to clear those invoices in SAP?
    Thank You In Advance

  • How can I connect dots across missing data points in a line chart?

    Hi all!
    I have a table in Numbers that I update every few days with a new value for the current date (in this case body metrics like weight, etc.), which looks something like this:
    Column 1              Column 2      Column 3
    Aug 16, 2011         87.1             15.4
    Aug 17, 2011         86.6
    Aug 18, 2011         86.1
    Aug 19, 2011
    Aug 20, 2011         85.7             14.6
    Aug 21, 2011         85.3
    Every once in a while there will be a missing value for a given date (because I didn't take a reading on that day). When I plot each column against the date on a line chart, there is a gap where there are missing data points. The line does not connect "across" missing data points. Is there a way to make the line connect across missing data points?
    Thanks for any help. This thing has been driving me nuts!

    Leave your nuts in peace.
    Don't use line charts but scatter charts.
    These ones are able to do the trick.
    Of course to do that you must study a bit of Numbers User Guide.
    In column D of the Main table, the formula is :
    =IF(ISBLANK($B),99999,ROW())
    In column E of the Main table, the formula is :
    =IF(ISBLANK($C),99999,ROW())
    Now I describe the table charter.
    In column A, the formula is :
    =IFERROR(DAY(OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,SMALL(Main :: $D,ROW())-1,0)),"")
    In column B,the formula is :
    =IFERROR(OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,SMALL(Main :: $D,ROW())-1,1),"")
    In column C, the formula is :
    =IFERROR(DAY(OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,SMALL(Main :: $E,ROW())-1,0)),"")
    In column D, the formula is :
    =IFERROR(OFFSET(Main :: $A$1,SMALL(Main :: $E,ROW())-1,2),"")
    In this table, select the range A1 … D5
    and ask for a Scatter chart.
    You will get what you need.
    I asked that points are joined by curves
    I just edited the parameters of Xaxis and Yaxis to get a cleaner look.
    I repeat one more time that knowing what is written in the User Guides is useful to be able to solve problems with no obvious answer.

  • HT201269 Is there a way to download/port the missing data/SMS to one iPhone without overwriting the new SMS on the newer iPhone?

    SMS Transferring/downloading/backup : Is there a way to download/port the missing data/SMS to one iPhone without overwriting the new SMS on the newer iPhone? Here is my dilemma. My iPhone quit working and I couldn’t get it fixed as quickly as I needed to. I bought a used iPhone and started using it normally and downloaded the backup from itunes/icloud. There was a large gap in data where the first iPhone didn’t backup when I thought it had. I have SMS data on both phonesnow and  I need them for a court hearing. I have since had the other iPhone repaired and working perfectly. Will downloading a backup wipe out the newer SMS data? I am nervous because I can’t lose the information or my case mey be compromised. Any “Real Help” including programs that work to accomplish this would be very helpful. Thank You in advance…

    No, direct access to manipulating the phone's filesystem is not permitted for 3rd party apps in the iOS.  It can't be done without hacking the phone, which you certainly don't want to do.  The messages can be combined and viewed on your computer, but not on a single phone.
