Missing ejb relation description file after deploying ejb module

when i deploye a ejb module to oc4j_extended_1013_dp4 successfully, it's can't find the file ejb-jar.xml that descript ejb relations and navigators.
why?
how can i defense it ?

however, i repeat my question
i use two file descript ejb module in MEAT-INF directory, one name ejb-jar.xml , another name orion-ejb-jar.xml
my ejb jar-package contrained them.
after deploying , i only find orion-ejb-jar.xml in application-deployments/myapp/myejb

  • Empty JAR File : After deployment of PAR file.

    Hi friends,
I Migrated the EP Database to different machine and made neccessary changes in the portal to make it point to the new  database.
Then i tried to change the custom deployed applications to make it point to new database. so Got the somecomp.par.bak from /<Portal_installation_path>/cluster/server/services/
servlet_jsp/work/jspTemp/irj/root/WEB-INF/deployment/pcd. Imported it into Eclipse, changed connection properties code, built it and coverted to par file. Deployed that file into portal using java developement tab. Even after uploading a new par, application is still pointing to old database.
While deploying, it wrote some log into error_log file as follows:

    Hi Nilz,
    > I got confused here
    Don't!
In NWDS, if you import a PAR, no JARs which are inside the PAR get imported. That's all (it's enough ).
    > The one using which i compiled my code
    > like htmlb.jar etc
NO! These are (hopefully) not inside your own PAR but only referenced!!!
    > When i imported a PAR file, the source code was there.
Then even with NWDS you shouldn't have any problems as the classes / JARs are compiled/created at PAR creation.
    > i am using Eclipse with SP2 plugins
Alltogether in your situation you are not confronted with an error but with a warnung. Obviously you don't have any code in the src.core section.
    Hope it helps

  • Missing User settings and files after disabling Filevault on Lion

I just installed OS X Lion on my mac and everything worked fine until I disabled the legacy filevault on my system. When the machine rebooted it had wipped out all my settings and files it would seem. After a bit of searching i found my files in the /Users directory. However the files are placed inside a folder called myusername.fvCopy. If I change any settings in my account like removing apps from the dock and reboot the changes haven't taken effect when it boots back up.
I have no idea what to do about this.
    Any help is much apprciated.
    Thanks in advance
    /Kristian

I fixed it by logging in to a different account and deleteting the broken homefolder via the terminal and renaming the myusername.fvCopy to myusername.

  • Unwanted application interaction after deployment

    Hi,
At the moment we have three small JHeadstart (10.1.2) applications deployed against a iAS 9.0.4 on a True64 server, let's say appl A, B and C. Appl A has got CDM ruleframe implemented and works fine. B and C do not have CDM ruleframe implemented, no Table API's or any other Designer/Headstart related objects.
After deployment of B and C however, errors occur when DML-ing, related to CDM Ruleframe (??). Redeployment sometimes gets rid of the errors, sometimes not. So does restarting the OC4J container.
    The following errors occur:
    ORA-6550; line 1, column 7: PLS-00201: identifier 'QMS_TRANSACTION_MGT.OPEN_TRANSACTION' must be declared ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    Another one:
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 13: PLS-00201: identifier 'CG$ERRORS.GETERRORS' must be declared ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
These errors appear in the HTML page and do not occur when developing with JDeveloper, nor when deployed to the stand-alone OC4J container on the client developer machine.
I'm a little confused here, don't know what or where to look for. It seems that the applications make use of the same object(s) in some way. Could it be that a wrong database connection is applied. If so, that's strange because querying data goes fine. Can anyone give me a hint what to check or where to look for?
    Greetings,
    Erik

    Hi Steven,
First to answer your question, there is no java error stack, java thinks all's fine.
But we solved the problem, there seemed indeed unwanted interaction between applications deployed on the same OC4J instance, caused by object sharing of some sort.
We solved it by trial and error. As we could reproduce the problem, we just included/excluded a library to the view controller project and then redeployed the application.
The errors were gone after we did the following:
    1) In the project properties of the view controller project we included the following libraries:
    BC4J Struts Runtime
    ADF Web Runtime
    Taglibs
    2) In the deployment profile properties - File Groups - WEB-INF/lib - Contributors, we checked the following libraries:
    ADF Model Runtime
    BC4J Oracle Domains
    BC4J Runtime
    ADF Web Runtime
    Hope to contribute a bit,
    Greetings Erik

  • Keeping data in server compact database AFTER deployment

    Hey!
I have a small problem regarding SQL Server Compact and Visual Studio 2010: My application uses a database, the purpose is to manage article stocks.
My problem now is that I have an existing excel sheet with articles, which I want to put into the database. As of now I am  changing the code for the specific excel workSheets and the respective row indexes manually. To exemplify that: I have the workSheet[1]
and need the content of rows 20 to 178. In my code, I am changing the workSheet index and adapt my for-loop to the right row indexes. Then I start the debugging and repeat the process for another set of rows.
I could of course create input textboxes to enter rows and worksheet indexes to my project, so after deploying it, I can enter my desired values.
However, out of curiousity I would like to know, if there is a way to keep data I read at debugging time in my database to use it after deployment.
    Regards
    pat3d3r

Use a full path to your database file in your connection string, and data will persist. In addition, if you have the database file as a project item set it to Copy= Never.
You also need to think about where you want to place the file after deployment, I have some ideas here:

  • Update list definition schema.xml after deployment

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with updating the schema.xml file after deployment.  I have a solution that I will outline in this post, but I feel like it is a delicately balanced hack instead of a real solution.  Any Information
that you can provide is greatly appreciated!
To begin, I am trying to create a new taxonomy site column, use this new site column in place of an old one in an existing content type, and update the list definition (and all existing lists) to show the new site column instead of the old.
The content type was originally deployed via an elements.xml file.  From what I understand, once deployed this file should never be modified.  So, via code I define my new site column, add the site column to the content type, and delete the old
site column from the content type.  I perform an update(true) on the content type so that the change is pushed to all list instances.  At this point, I can go to any list and the new/edit form for each of those lists does not show the old site column
but does show the new.  So far so good!
There are two problems at this point.  If I try to create a new list from the definition, I get a list that contains the site column that I deleted AND the new site column.  Also, the deleted site column name still appears in the default view.
I tried removing the old and adding my new site column to the schema.xml, but this breaks all existing lists that were made from this schema.xml (specifically, it is a taxonomy field and none of the taxonomy fields work after updating).  I can create
a new list from the list definition that works fine, but I still need existing lists to work.
The solution that I ended up on was JUST removing the no-longer-necessary field from the schema.xml, and then adding my new field to the ViewFields list in the schema.xml.  If I do this, everything is happy even though the only mention of the new field
in the schema.xml is in the ViewFields section.
So, with all of that said... does this make sense?  Am I doing this the correct way, or does this just work for now... and it will blow up later?
    Thanks in advance!

I am sorry if I have caused confusion.  I am not doing what you think that I am doing :)
All of my issues that I reference above are encountered when I deploy via WSP/Powershell.  I am not changing any files directly in SharePoint.  When I mentioned changing the elements.xml and schema.xml files above, I am talking about in Visual
Studio prior to packaging everything in WSP and redeploying.  I will re-word my previous post to better emphasize my questions:
Isn't changing the elements.xml via Visual Studio and deploying the same as changing it directly? I have tried numerous times to change a content type elements.xml
file in Visual Studio, Deactivate/Retract/Remove/Install/Deploy/Activate the new version via WSP,
and then perform a content type update(true) in the feature activated
to push the changes to all child content types... and it doesn't change the lists version of the content type.  This is why I thought that guidance of "don't change the definition file" applied to elements.xml altogether after deploying.
Either way, my code approach for getting these fields updated is working, so I can probably just proceed with that approach.
This is where it gets very strange.  I see everyone indicate that a schema.xmlchange does not affect existing lists that were made from a list definition
when updating the package in Visual Studio, Deactivating/Retracting/Removing/Installing/Deploying/Activating the new version via WSP.  I am 100% seeing the opposite of this.  When I update the schema.xml file
in Visual Studio and then deploy via WSP/Powershell, my views (in existing lists) change to match the new schema.xml as soon as I deploy the changes.  I don't know if this is working differently in 2013 than it did before.
Hopefully this better indicates the situation.  My apologies!
    Thanks again!
    Hi,
Do you have a solution for case 2)?
I just confirmed for case 2), you are right. This happened for both SP2010 and SP2013.
I've tried to add more column in the schema.xml, then re-deploy solution. After that, all existed lists are effected the new schema.xml. However, by the work as design of SharePoint OOTB, it could not be effected because after creating a list, all schema.xml
is copied to database and it will work on the separate space. It's so strange.
if you have a solution to fix or found out something else, please share it.
    Thanks

  • Ejb-ref-mapping in orion-ejb.jar missing location attribute after deployment

I have noticed that on several of my entity beans that after deployment the <ebj-ref-mapping location="JNDIName" name="LocalName"/> is missing the location attribute. This causes any attempts to lookup the EJBHome for that EJB to fail because the path to the EJBHome in JNDI cannot be found (obviously!). The problem is that this causes me to manually edit the application-deployment/<app>/<ejb.jar>/orion-ejb.zml after each deployment via the admin.jar. This seems like a bug with OC4J and I am wondering if Oracle is aware/doing something to fix this?
I have noticed that the same problem exists for session beans, however, for some strange reason the EJBHomes can still be resolved in JNDI. In all cases the location in JNDI is different then the <ejb-ref-name> I used in the client EJB.
Example being I have an entity bean at com.foo.Foo and the session bean uses lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/Foo") it is still able to find the EJB even though the orion-ejb.xml looses the location attribute. If the case is an entity bean referencing another entity bean in the same fashion I get an error because the location attribute is missing.

If the 'location' value is same as the 'name' value, then even though the location attribute is missing, it is ok and should work. If they are not the same, then you should have defined the ejb-link element in your ejb-jar.xml when defining this ejb-ref and that would make the location attribute appear in the generated orion-ejb-jar.xml.
If the referenced bean is from a different application (EAR), then you should have used the -parent option when deploying the application.

Instead of the move statement you need to use the append work area to internal table statement. you need to have the same structure for the work area and the internal tbale.
Then use the modify data base table from internal table statement.

  • Best practice for customizing EJB property after deployment

    Hi Gurus,
What is the best practice for customizing EJB property after deployment in NW7.1? I have a stateless session bean and it needs to get some environment information before acting. While the information can only be known at runtime. What should I do to achieve it? I thought I can bind the property with a JNDI context but I did not find out where to declare and change the context value. Please advise. Thanks.
    B.R.

    Hi.
I have a similar problem. But I still can not edit the properties of the ejb-jar.xml.
I tried to stop the web service, but the properties still remain unmodifiable.
Could you advise me how to change them?
We have installed SAP Server 7.0.2

  • Application was deployed, but EJB module was not.

We use scripts to deploy an application to weblogic cluster. After deployment, there is no error and exception. But, in related weblogic log, there is no information about EJB module deployment.
On weblogic console, the EJB jar is presented at the left pane. After check the targets of the EJB jar, we found the EJB jar was not deployed on any weblogic server in the cluster. But two war packages are deployed successfully.
There is no error in applicaton.xml and EJB deployment descriptor files. And this issue just happened in one environment. In other environments, no such an issue. Could any points make this happen?
    Thanks.

we faced same issue after redeploy the app. Via console, it is ok.
before this redeployment, the app is just a web application, no EJB module. in this release we added an EJB module into this app. And use the same script to redeploy.
below is the script snippet to deploy and redeploy an app. The option -targets is not identified in the redeployment process. Could this be the problem?

  • Defining cmp-relation to EB contained in different ejb module project

    Hello,
I have to migrate an existing J2EE Application to SAP NetWeaver and WebAS. My task is to keep the structure as similar as possible to increase the recognition factor although using Developer Studio as IDE.
In this application there are cmp relations defined that reference EntityBeans from other sub projects (that I tried to create in different ejb module projects).
References in the same ejb module project seem to work fine but I cannot select referenced EntityBeans of other projects as relation target.
    Another remark:
In the given application the ejb-jar.xml-file of the referencing component contains entries of the referenced one. The Developer Studio allows to Add EJBs to ejb-jar.xml, even referenced Beans. But when I select to add referenced EJBs only the Beans of the current project can be chosen. (I did not forget to enter an ejb-local-ref from the referencing to the referenced Bean in ejb-jar.xml as well)
Can anyone give me a hint on how to solve this task? Or where I have forgotten to add a reference?
    Thanks
    Daniel

    Hello Viliana,
    Hello everybody else!
I'm currently writing the corresponding masterthesis to my project. That's why I have to deal with this "problem" again.
I tried to look up the part of the spec Viliana's hint ("When you create and use cmp-relationships your beans must be included in one and the same JAR file (that's according to the EJB specification)") bases on.
But the only thing I found addressing this issue tells something else:
"[...]Container-managed relationships can exist only among entity beans within the same local relationship
    scope,[...]" (EJBSpec2.1, section 10.3.2)
In my opinion this does not necessarily mean that they have to be in the same JAR but in the same EAR file...
This would mean, that the chosen cmp-relationships strategy with ejb-module-projects is too restrictive.
Can anyone help me with this... Does anyone know further hints on how Entity Beans have to be deployed when belonging to cmp-relationships?
Thanks a lot for any hint on this
