Missing Fonts when calling Output ES

Hi. I have tried implementing the Output ES Generating a PDF document quick start and I'm getting the following error from the XMLFormService
2007-08-08 14:58:30,796 INFO [STDOUT] Caused by: com.adobe.livecycle.formsservice.exception.FormServerException: XMLFormFactory, PAexecute failure: "(com.adobe.document.xmlform.ReturnStatus@25edb3) Font ArialNarrow-Bold is not found on system."
My system fonts directory seems to be set up correctly in the adminui, under global configuration.
Is there something else I need to do to get this to work?
Thanks,
Bryan

The font directory is pointing to c:\windows\fonts (this is a local box). The font is installed on the server.

    The activated fonts are not the same version as those in the PDF. If you use Type>Find Font and replace the fonts with ones from your computer does it work?

  • Missing fonts when opening iWeb.

    When reopening iWeb after making a website succesfully the day before, all my 'fun' kind of fonts that came with my iMac (like Handwriting-Dakota; PortagolTCTT, etc.) are missing. I haven't deleted anything and don't understand how that's possible. Does anyone had the same problem and what is the best thing to do and how did that happend are my questions.
    I appriciate any helpfull feedback. Thanks.

    Yep, I had the same problem. It disappeared upgrading 1.0.1 but it seems to be a real bug. Maybe are you using a font manager like Suitcase or Font Agent Pro that could generate conflicts.
    For now, it is fixed. So if the missing fonts pb goes on : restart your computer, create a new iWeb document (removing anywhere the iWeb folder from Home/Librairy/ApplicationSupport/iWeb) and try again : don't worry about the "Domain file", iWeb creates a new one when you launch it. The try again with that "virgin" document.
    If nothing works, you can reinstall iWeb.

  • SPA 30x and 50x - show miss state when call was pickup

    Hello
    do you know, how to show on display miss state (softkey miss) when call was pickup in pickup group.
    My IP phone is SPA 303 and 502, and 922 but SPA 922 is showing miss state well.
    Server is Asteriks.
    Marek

    Call completed elsewhere has not been missed, so SPA922 is on the wrong side ...
    If the line is declared as shared AND call is CANCELed with
    Reason: SIP;cause=200;text="Call completed elsewhere"
    then no missed call is logged.
    I'm not sure if you can configure Asterisk not to use this Reason in such particular case. If I remember correctly, there is and option of Dial() Application for it ...
    Of course, unless you have User->Supplementary Services->Log Missed Calls for extension in question set to "Yes" no missed calls are logged at all.

  • Missing Fonts when fonts are activated on the system.

    I created an Indesign CS6 document (334pg book) and used ITC Garamond Bold for the document subheads. This was done with a paragraph style. After editing the document I get a missing font warning for ITC Garamond Bold. The font is activated on the system using Suitcase Fusion 4. If I create a new document the font is available. Both documents open. One shows the font missing. On a Mac OSX 10.6.8. Any ideas on fixing this missing font error?

    Why not obtain FontFingler or FontNuke and run these font cache burping utilities and see if the problem goes away? Is it installed in more than one place? Does one of your documents have a Document Fonts subfolder and the other doesn't? Did you maybe try to Export the afflicted document to IDML, and then turn around and re-open that file?

  • Missing privileges when calling FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE in custom schema

    Hi All,
    I tried to run the FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE using a custom schema following the instruction described in [ID 822225.1]. At the end the APPS_INITIALIZE completed successfully.
    But when executing a script in sqlplus (connected to custom schema) that first calls APPS_INITIALIZE and afterwards calls a custom procedure, it seems that the user ID gets lost in FND_GLOBAL (note that this scenario works fine in APPS schema).
    However, the APPS_INITIALIZE works fine when directly called in sqlplus (connected to custom schema): Executing FND_GLOBAL.USER_ID directly after APPS_INITIALIZE retrieves the correct user ID.
    Has anybody an idea ot what could be missing in my custom schema (any privileges...) ?
    Thanks, Carolin

    Hussein,
    thanks for reply.
    Seems that I solved the problem - after adding some more grants to the custom schema, FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE works fine now. ;-)
    However, I'm not quite sure if I'm on the right way with using a custom schema (maybe that I schouldn't use a custom schema at all, but connect to APPS schema instead) and if I'm using the correct approach to find missing privileges...
    Perhaps you could also help me with this - I already posted a message for that general issue, please see:

    where do I have to adjust permission ?

    Hi Uwe,
    i guess you're calling the "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.migrated/ep_5.0/templates/com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.TransactioniView" with some parameters (system, tcode, etc.). You have to add this iview to your models role (our change the permissions of the iview). To hide in the navigation, edit the iview preference: com.sap.portal.navigation.Invisible (German: Unsichtbar in Navigationsbereichen) -> change it only in the role->iview, do not change it in the iview itself.
    Hope that helps!

  • Missing fonts when viewing webpages?

    ok i tried to solve a problem i had earlier bec my desktop was not accessable by deleting some fonts that I installed and now when i view certain webpages words are not showing up correctly? Should I just deleted all my fonts and then install a new set?? I have no clue what to do bec nothing seems to work and now my computer is running very slow? Thanks for any suggestions

    does anyone know if this will work???
    just to give you some guidance OS X has two directories for fonts one in the system /Libraries/Fonts and one specific to each user /Users/"user_name"/fonts. The reason you have two folders is as follows. In the system folder OS X uses these fonts to operate the system such as icons, menus task bars etc. Deleting these fonts may destabilize the OS. Maybe the more advanced users can verify this. Most if not all applications will use fonts from the user's fonts folder.
    Normally u should only install/delete files in the master directory if you know what you're doing. Actually a rule of thumb is only install things in your user_name's directories. The reason being that any problem that occurs would be local and not systemic.
    The way to re-install your default fonts is as follows:
    (1) insert OS X install disc 1
    (2) once disk is mounted, scroll down and open the following
    System => Installation => Packages
    (3) In this folder you will find a lot of useful things one of them is titled, "additionalfonts.pkg"
    (4) double click on it and it should reset your fonts folder to it's default setting
    Some of the fonts u outlined are not default to OS X. With those I recommend reinstalling the application.
    Remember.. this is not windows. Everything in Mac has a well throughout reason. I was a windows user some time ago. I recommend that you buy some training manuals on the OS

  • Missing fonts when saving in another directory

    I made a page (the index), put a web font, the css and font is saved in a directory and is ok, the page looks perfect in browser, now i save the same page with another name in another directory and dreamweaver ask me "Do you want to update the links?" I click "yes" and now the new saved page dont display the fonts, if i save in the same directory that the original yes but if saved in a subfolder dont display fonts. Why, the css has the link and route to the fonts, what am i doing wrong???!!!

    Hi
    Check the css file that is created for the web fonts, as this may be using a relative link to the web font files.
    Without seeing the code that is only a guess, can you upload the page, (and all files) to a web server for us to check?

  • Missing font makes Adobe InDesign CS4 6.0.4 crash

    Hi!
    I am having a problem with the latest version of Adobe InDesign CS4 (v 6.0.4).
    I opened an old document which contained two missing fonts.
    I was able to correct the first one by changing it to an existing font.
    But when I tried to correct the second one, the application crashed.
    I did this:
    1. Opened the document with the missing font (the first font was now already corrected).
    2. In the warning dialog window saying a font was missing, I clicked "Find Font".
    3. The missing font was called "Helvetica (T1) Bold Narrow". I set it to be replaced by "Helvetica Regular".
    4. Then I clicked "Change All".
    5. Indesign CS4 crashes.
    This is the information about the missing font (note that it says "First Used: na" which is strange):
    Filename: <not installed>
    Full Name: Helvetica
    First Used: NA
    Font: Helvetica (T1) Bold Narrow
    PostScript Name: Helvetica-Narrow-Bold
    Style: Bold Narrow
    Type: Type 1
    Version:
    Restrictions: Unkonwn (Font is missing)
    Path: Unknown (Font is missing)
    Character Count: 27
    Style Count: 0
    Styles:
    Page: none
    Does anyone have a solution, or is this a bug?
    Thanks

    Hi! Thanks for your answer.
    I am using Windows XP (SP3).
    I tried to export my INDD file (ID CS4 format) to an INX file.
    But that also made InDesign crash (perhaps because of the font thing).
    Unfortunately I can't change the missing font of the text because:
    * I can't see the text frame that contains the missing font.
    * InDesign crashes when using the "Find Font" function.
    However, this is not a big problem, I can still work with the file. But I will
    always get the annoying warning about the missing font, and I prefer to
    have no errors in my INDD files.

  • List missing fonts in Illustrator

    Hi all,
    I've been working on a script to try and build a list of font's that not loaded in Illustrator. I know that Illustrator will alert missing fonts when a document is opened but this routine will be part of a larger script that will have the user dialogs turned off. My process is to build a list of fonts that are available to the the application, then build a list of fonts that are used within the active document and cross reference them to see if there are document fonts that are not in the application fonts list.
    I have used a great function that I believe was posted originally by Moluapple and with some some brilliant advice from the always helpful CarlosCanto I thought that I had found the soultion but it appears to have some limitations. If I get a list of fonts available to the application and the document that I want to cross reference them against is open, the list that's returned contains fonts that are used in the document. Then when I get a list of fonts used in the document and cross reference them they will all be in the application list regardless of whether they're loaded or not.
    The only way that I can get accurate results are if I run the script without any documents open and build a list of application fonts, then open a document and build a list of document fonts and then cross reference. This is the only way I can find out what fonts aren't loaded.
    Does anybody know of another way to build a list of missing fonts without having to close documents first? I have searched through the XMP data and this doesn't seem to give me any clues and I've tried writing the code in applescript but it appears to work in the same way. Any help or comments would be welcome.
    Here's my code:
    #target illustrator
    var doclist = app.textFonts
    var appFontList = new Array ();
    for (i=0;i< app.textFonts.length; i++){
        var fontName = app.textFonts[i].name;
        appFontList[i] = fontName;
    var myfile = File.openDialog ('Choose a file');
    app.open (myfile);
    var docFontsList = getUsedFonts(activeDocument);
    // function accredited to Moluapple
    function getUsedFonts (doc ){
         var xmlString = new XML(doc.XMPString);
         fontsInfo = xmlString.descendants("stFnt:fontName");

         for (var i = 0; i<ln; i++){arr.push(fontsInfo[i])};
         return arr;
    var missingFontsList = checkFonts();
    alert(missingFontsList);
    function checkFonts(){
        var fontArray = new Array ();
        for (i=0; i < docFontsList.length; i++){
            var thisDocFont = docFontsList[i];
            var activeFont = false;
            for (j = 0; j < appFontList.length; j++){
                var thisAppFont = appFontList[j];
                if (thisDocFont == thisAppFont){
                    activeFont = true;
            if (activeFont == false){

    Mark,
    you are a legend!!!!
    with yours and Carlos' help I think I have raged against the system that is Adobe and come out victorious!!!!!!!!
    I Finally have a script that doesn't tell me lies.
    Building a list of fonts that are available from InDesign, then building a list of fonts that the active Illustrator document is using and comparing the 2 lists I've managed to locate the fonts that aren't active. I'm sure the script could have some fine tuning but hopefully it might help others who just want to know if fonts are missing before creating a PDF that contains false font information.
    Thanks again all,

  • Packaging with missing fonts

    I have (what I consider to be) a complex issue with missing fonts when packaging a project for print. I’m fairly new at using ID. It’s a little complicated, so I’ll attempt to be as precise as possible. When I package my files, a warning comes up in the package summary about missing fonts. Now this is where it gets a little tricky – three of the fonts are listed as “not installed” in the package dialogue box. When I check my Fonts folder, both Minion Pro and Bookman Old Style “parents” are there. The Minion Pro “children” are not listed in my Fonts folder but the Bookman “child” is there. When I attempt to find the font within my document (to make the correction) using the Find Font button of the Package dialogue box, none of the fonts are listed as being present in the document. I am at a loss as to what to do. I cannot send this project to the printer with missing fonts. Any assistance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    You most likely have modified some font or paragraph styles that reference these fonts or a leftover rogue invisible character like a spacer that uses those fonts in its style. ID will retain that info in the derived style, if you only changed a part of a formatting. This is nothing to worry, even more so since whoever will use your file will have to have the same Adobe software which includes those fonts to open your ID native file and it's irrelevant for PDF files.

  • Missing fonts - InDesign CS3

    I've read all I could find about mssing fonts, but continue to have problems with opening InDesign files and receiving a message about a missing font(Arial Narrow).
    Indesign CS3 v5.04
    Two users(Administrator & a user(who has Local Administrator rights)  have no problem with missing font when opening the same file.
    Two different users(who both have Local Administrator rights) receive the message about missing font when opening the same file.
    The PC has the font loaded in Windows,
    I have copied Arial Narrow into Adobe\Indesign\Fonts directory
    I have deleted all Adobe*.lst files
    After the Adobe*.lst file is recreated the lst file has the specifics for Arial Narrow in the lst file.
    Not sure what to try next

    I didn't understand from the original message that the users were all working on the same PC. That would point away from the font problem, I think, and maybe toward a preferences corruption, though I couldn't say for sure.
    Certainly I think trying the patch would be good, and yes, there may be Adobefnt*.lst files in each user profile that should be deleted (maybe that's all that's wrong). Otherwise, replacing preferences for the affected users might be in order.
    On the same machine, assuming there is no problem about inidividual user customizations you don't want to share, you can copy the profile data from one user to another without problem, or you can rebuild each bad set from scratch. • CS4 - Missing Fonts Loader Plug-in?

    I apologize if this has already been asked, but I am having difficulty with the missing fonts loader plug-in.
    Q:  Can some please give me a detailed (step-by-step) instructions for installing this plug in for CS4?
    Q:  What is this Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package required for CS 4?
    I need some assistance, please.
    Thank you very much for any help!

    I meant to add this as well.
    Missing Fonts Loader Plug-in for Adobe InDesign CS4
    The plug-in for Adobe InDesign CS4 is available on the Proxima Software Web site. This plug-in can automatically
    activate missing fonts in Adobe InDesign documents.
    Missing Fonts Loader Plug In
    Product Adobe InDesign CS4 version 6.0
    Description Automatic Activation of Missing Fonts
    Operating System Microsoft Windows
    Requirements Your missing fonts must be located in FontExpert
    Groups (visible in the Groups view).
    FontExpert 2009 version 10.0.
    The plug-in may also work with FontExpert of earlier
    versions 9 and 8, but FontExpert 2009 version 10.0 is
    recommended.
    File Name MissingFontsLoader.pln
    How to Install the Plug-in
    NOTE
    The plug-in for InDesign CS4 requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package
    (available on the Proxima Software Web site, http://www.proximasoftware.com/download.htm ).
    Copy the MissingFontsLoader.pln file to the Adobe InDesign plug-ins folder:
    c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Plug-Ins\MissingFontsLoader\MissingFontsLoader.pln
    and RESTART Adobe InDesign.
    (Where "c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\" is the folder where Adobe InDesign is installed.)
    Using the Missing Fonts Loader Plug-in
    This plug-in has an activation option: automatic (recommended) or manual.
    Automatic Activation
    The Missing Fonts Loader Plug-in loads missing fonts automatically when you open an Adobe InDesign document.
    The plug-in searches for fonts in font groups defined in FontExpert. If a missing font is not found in the FontExpert
    Groups view, it will not be activated, and the font will be marked by InDesign as a missing font (for the current
    document).
    3
    Missing Fonts Loader Plug-In for Adobe InDesign CS4
    In the picture below, the Missing Fonts Loader window shows an empty list of missing fonts for the current
    document, because all fonts were activated automatically:
    4
    Missing Fonts Loader Plug-In for Adobe InDesign CS4
    When InDesign opens the document, it may still mark fonts as missing, even though they were actually activated
    by the plug-in during the opening of the document. In this case, you may be required to reopen document to let
    InDesign know that all missing fonts are now activated.
    The font information xml file helps solve this problem. It is recommended to select the Use font information xml
    files option. Every time you save the .indd document, the Missing Fonts Loader plug-in will create a small xml file.
    This xml file will include the list of fonts used in the corresponding .indd document. When this xml file is present,
    the plugin can activate fonts just before the InDesign actually opens the document and searches it for missing
    fonts. (You will find the xml file near the Adobe InDesign .indd document on your computer.)
    Manual Activation
    When the Activate Missing Fonts Automatically checkbox is cleared, the plug-in
    does not activate missing fonts when you open the document. You can open the plug-in
    window and activate fonts manually.
    The Missing Fonts Loader window shows the list of missing fonts in current document:
    5
    Missing Fonts Loader Plug-In for Adobe InDesign CS4
    Click the Activate All button to activate missing fonts.
    Important Note
    Unfortunately, when missing fonts are activated manually, you are usually required to close the InDesign
    document and open it again to let the document "know" that new fonts became available. This is the
    disadvantage of manual activation.
