Gaurav,
Can you print all the binding variables and update the ouput here.
And I didn't get this date format 'dd-mon-rrrr', normally it will be like 'dd-mon-yyyy' right?
Thanks,

    Thanks,
    KiranIt looks like you're almost there.
    If period_name is a DATE, then
    MIN (a.period_name)is finidng the earliest period name, such as 5 May 2012 17:03:49. If you just want to see 'May 2012', then change that to
    TO_CHAR ( MIN (a.period_name)
            , 'Mon YYYY'
            )If a.period_name is a VARCHAR2, then change it to a DATE. The best way to do this is permanently. There is no reason to store date information in VARCHAR2 columns. Oracle supplies DATE columns; there's no extra cost for using them. DATE columns were designed for storing date information, use them to do that.
    if you must keep your date information in VARCHAR2 a column, then use TO_DATE in the query. It will be slow, and you'll have run-time errors if any of the information is in the wrong format. That's what happens when you store date information in VARCHAR2 columns.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

  • SQL Query problem (Query not working as expected)

    Hi guys,
    Today i built a query which is something like
    Select from (Select * from (TableName) Where (Condition)) ALIAS where ALIAS.columnName = (some paramerter);*
    I wrote this query thinking that first inner subquery will be executed and then the WHERE clause will be applied..
    But the results returned by this query are not the same as expected.
    I ran the inner sub-query as a separate query and saw that results should be properly returned if Outer WHERE clause is applied on those results(returned by sub-query).
    But the results being returned after executing the complete query are different..
    Please help me..How could it be possible??
    If it is possible..then what is the alternative approach.??

  • SAP sales return system should not accept quantity more than open quantity

    Dear All
    During sales return user is able to enter the quantity more than open quantity and system is allowing for that enter
    Plz tell me how to restrict this
    Regards
    Arun

    No need of exit for this.
    Go to VTAF, select the item category for the combination of order type and billing type and maintain "+" for the field "Pos./neg. quantity"
    Also go to OVAH and change message class V4 no 229 to E will work.
    Now try to create a return order and increase the quantity.  Sytem will not allow to do so but if you create a new line item, then system will also for which, you can go for exit already suggested.
    thanks

    Try assigning the SPEL value in the *VORowImpl.
    First, in order to assign a value to SPEL, you'll need to create a custom VO. Here's a sample query I've used to create my VO to pull data pertainining to if an Attribute should be mandatory/rendered.
    SELECT min(descriptive_flex_context_code) descriptive_flex_context_code, min(Enabled) Enabled, min(END_USER_COLUMN_NAME) END_USER_COLUMN_NAME, min(required_flag) required_flag, min(application_column_name) application_column_name,
    min(xxx.LOV) LOV
    from
    (SELECT descriptive_flex_context_code,'Y' Enabled, END_USER_COLUMN_NAME, required_flag, application_column_name,
    decode(ffvv.flex_value,null,'N','Y') LOV
    FROM FND_DESCR_FLEX_COL_USAGE_VL fdfc,
    fnd_flex_values_vl ffvv
    WHERE (fdfc.APPLICATION_ID=20045)
    and (fdfc.DESCRIPTIVE_FLEXFIELD_NAME LIKE 'SPL Account Map')
    and fdfc.enabled_flag = 'Y'
    and fdfc.display_flag = 'Y'
    and fdfc.application_column_name = 'ATTRIBUTE5'
    and ffvv.flex_value_set_id(+) = fdfc.flex_value_set_id
    and rownum = 1) xxx
    Once the VO is created, I created several transient "boolean" attributes in my VO. These attributes will be assigned a value based on code I place in my *VORowImpl since this is the file which controls attribute assignments.
    But before that, in my *VOImpl, I've defined a custom method which is used to execute the VO from my AM.
    public class Ref5PVOImpl extends OAViewObjectImpl
    * This is the default constructor (do not remove)
    public Ref5PVOImpl()
    public void initRef5PVO()
    // setWhereClause("descriptive_flex_context_code in (select vendor_name from spl_account_map where cont_cd = :1)");
    setWhereClauseParams(null); //Always reset
    // setWhereClauseParam(0, acct);
    // System.out.println("value_selected customer>> "+acct);
    executeQuery();
    In my *VORowImpl, I've added custom code to my Attribute methods so that they return the proper values when invoked...
    public String getMakeRequired()
    if (getRequiredFlag()!= null)
    if ("Y".equals(getRequiredFlag()))
    //if(getMessageChoiceAttribute()==null)
    System.out.println("Required returned yes");
    return "yes";
    else
    System.out.println("Required returned no");
    return "no";
    else
    return "no"; //poplist will be disabled - DFF is not configured
    public Boolean getOptionRender()
    if (getLov()!= null)
    // In this method check if the Message Text Input is valid
    if ("N".equals(getLov()))
    System.out.println("OptionRender returned true "+ getLov());
    return Boolean.TRUE; //text input will be enabled if no LOV exists
    else
    System.out.println("OptionRender returned false "+ getLov());
    return Boolean.FALSE; //text input will be disabled if LOV exists
    else
    return Boolean.FALSE; //text input will be disabled - DFF is not configured
    Then add your SPEL directive into your field's Property inpector...
    ${oa.Ref5PVO1.MakeRequired}
    ${oa.Ref5PVO1.OptionRender}

    Hi,
    We can do this setting in WAD. Please check the web template and try to remove that setting. When you have hierarchy then we can display only till certain level in portal, this setting is done in web template APIs, but in bex analyzer you can see all the detailed information.

  • Query not retrieving exact results.

    I have a query which shows different result from what i have it in the cube.
    I have a document number in rows and two key figures one amount and another  which shows no. of days for clearance. In the cube, for the same selection criteria , it gives me three records for the same document no. but in query its is gving me one record with different values in KF.
    sample.
    In cube
    Doc  Amount  No. Days for CLearance
    59    100  31
    59    400  14
    59    500  38
    In query the result shows as
    59   1000   1
    Any Ideas where it is doing wrong.  No of days for clearance is calculated from the difference btw posting date and clearing date. I need No. of Days to further develop this query.Is it something to do with compression, or query cache..
    Any Ideas!!1
    Thanks in Advance..
    Veeru

    Sorry, the Result I've shown may be little confusion .. Here is the clear picture..
    In query..
    DOC -
    Amount -
    No.of Days to CLearing
    59 -
    1000 -
    1
    In Cube
    DOC -
    Amount -
    No.of Days to CLearing
    59 -
    100----
    31
    59 -
    500-------14
    59--400-----18
    the value of Days to Clearing is showing as 1.
    Properties of that key figure are defined as follows..
    KF as NUMBER
    Aggregation :Summation
    Exp.Aggregation : Counter All Values.
    Ref Characteristic : cal day.
    Is this something related to the display properties in BEX. Again, In cube the records are correct..
    Thanks

  • Sales return to be confiured to require a preceding sales order in referenc

    Dear All,
    System could be configured to require a preceding sales order document (from the intial sales flow) when creating a returns
    order, ensuring the actual return is linked with a preceding sales transaction
    Regards
    Arun

    Hello!
    I read your message and actually helped me to think about some config, that is:
    If I do not assign this field as M (mandatory), then I would have the possibility of creating the return order with reference to different billing documents, by selecting them from the menu. I could include as many as items as possible, once it is the same customer.
    Is this reasonable or there is another way to create with reference of multiple billing documents.
    Kind regards,
    Fabiana Anjos

  • Query not giving me the output I want

    Hi there,
    I have the following query:
    select rent_no, rent_end, count(*) as "NUMBER OF DRIVERS"
    from rental where (rent_end IS NOT NULL) AND (rent_end between (select to_date(sysdate) from dual) and (select to_date(sysdate-7) from dual))
    group by rent_no, rent_end
    order by rent_end;
    but it's not outputting my desired output. Basically, I want to view the selected columns where the RENT_END value is in the last seven days. So my output is supposed to look something like this:
    RENT_NO RENT_END NUMBER OF DRIVERS
    12345679 07-OCT-09 1
    As you can see, the rent_end value is within the last seven days, but for some reason, it's not outputting at all. can anyone help?

    I have a couple of recommendations:
    select to_date(sysdate) from dualSYSDATE is already a date value, there is no need to use TO_DATE() to convert it to a date. In addition, you can just replace the whole select statement with SYSDATE.
    rent_end between (select to_date(sysdate) from dual) and (select to_date(sysdate-7) from dual)This is probably the main reason why your query is not returning any rows. The BETWEEN is not setup correctly. It should be this:
    BETWEEN <LOWER BOUND> AND <UPPER BOUND>However, you have yours flipped backwards. It should probably be:
    RENT_END BETWEEN TRUNC(SYSDATE) - 7 AND TRUNC(SYSDATE+1) - 1/86400 /* 23:59:59 on the current day */HTH!
