MM01 transaction
Hi frnz, I am tryin to pass matnr value from list screen to MM01 through "at line-selection" event. I am using like this.
SET PARAMETER ID 'MAT' FIELD MATN.
CALL TRANSACTION 'MM01.
where MATN field contains matnr value.
But the matnr value is not being passed to MM01 transaction.
Where as for MM02 it is passing.
Ur suggestions are appreciated.

go to mm01 see the matnr press f1 button->popup show->PARAMETER ID .

Using SHDB recording i can select the views before recording and then call those views again

If you are trying to change a material, you chould go to MM02. There you need to enter your material and then change it in the tab as required.

BADI or USER EXIT in MM01 Transaction
Hi All,
While creating Material through MM01 Transaction Code,
in Basic Data1 view, User needs to enter two new fields "Brand code" and "Product Code". For this user needs a pop-up box. This will be stored in Ztable.
To invoke this Pop up box any user exit or BADI is existing in SAP 4.7.
Kindly give your inputs on this.

~VYou know, I could get the SAVE_TEXT to work for me, but it does in a lot of cases, there may be something in the material master preventing it from showing. Anyway, lets go a different route. Lets use the BAPI instead. I have done this example and it works good.

Dear All,
I am facing a problem while doing the transaction variant. It is as follows -
With the T.Code SHD0, i started creating a transaction variant and named as ZMM01 for the transaction MM01.
After clicking the create(F5), it went to the MM01 transaction for recording. Here i wanted to give some default inputs in the fields Industry sector and Material type, i gave my default values and pressed enter, then "Confirm screen entries" screen popped up. Here i selected(marked) required check boxes and clicked "Exit and Save". It went to another screen where i gave "Screen variant short description" and when i clicked on save, "Create Object Directory Entry" screen popped up.
What exactly should i do now?
When i tried to save by clicking on save button, system is giving me a message "Specify the package or flag it as a local object"
"Message no is TR742".
BUT.....
When i clicked the "Local Object" tab which is next to "Save" button, system is asking me to Assign a package" and in the package field the system is giving the value "$TMP" by default and when i tried to save it OR click "Local object" again, system is giving me an error message "Test objects cannot be created in foreign namespaces", Message no. TO131.
Pl guide me what exactly i have to do at this stage( How/Procedure to save).

Ensure that all the variants you have created start with Z like screen variant , transaction variant .
The system throws this message when you use other name space which is not allowed .

Select a specific view in MM02/MM01
Hi Abappers,
I am doing a BDC on MM01 transaction and want to just select the accounting view and extend materials for different valuation types. But the position of accounting view is coming different on different material and my BDC recording is failing to select the accounting view. Does anyone has any idea how we can pinpoint and select the accounting view?

in your case this FM Is not required and you need to have Accounting view.

[urgent ]runtime error occured while creating the material using mm01
hai
am configure the ale program now . the problem is occured during the creating the material using mm01.
am using client 000 (sending system). and i want to send the material to the client 400(receiving system)
while am save the created material using t-code mm01 in client 000 . it depicts the error as
syntax error in program SAPLC140.
plz resolve this problem.

In MM01 transaction code u have a problem..normally u will go to mm01 screen to create the material..i thought the same error will occur...so call basis to rectify this problem..

Error while updating data using session and call transaction method
Hi all,
i have to update data using MM01 transaction from flat file to database.i have used both session method and call transaction method to do that.in both the methods data has been transferred from internal tables to screens but while updating the data that is by clicking the ok-code at the end of the transaction iam getting a dialogue box stating
SAP EXPRESS DOCUMENT "UPDATE WAS TERMINATED" RECEIVED FROM AUTHOR "SAP".
please tell whether the problem lies and solution for that.
