I got an HTC 7 for Christmas, it runs windows phone 7.5 how do I download the mobile Fon app? The only listted devices are Iphone Ipad Blackberry and android.

    Some updated info to add to that below.  We've had a few people asking whether the app can be used on the iPad or Blackberry - i'm afraid the short answer is no - not at the moment but it is something we are actively working on.
    We launched the app initially only on Apple and Android, and we've had a fantastic response so far.  Over 70k downloads at this point, making it no. 7 in the Apple iStore downloads.  We've had lots of great feedback and we are working on developing the app further so we can bring it to you on other devices and operating systems.

    How do I get it?
    The BT FON mobile application can be downloaded from the Android market or iPhone app store. It is compatible with iPhone 3Gs and 4, and Android phones such as the HTC Hero, HTC Desire, HTC Legend or Nexus One.

    Hi Guys,
    The ipod touch devices don't have GPS functionality and hence cannot automatically locate your position if it hasn't already got a connection. The mapping still works as long as you enter the location (postcode, street name etc); but will not work if you select "Choose a location to search>Your current location".
    There is no reason why the app won't work abroad.  A colleague at FON tried it successfully in Madrid. It will work with any BT FON/BT Openzone SSID.

  • I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build.  The same call works fine when running on the device

    I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
    I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
    The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
    I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
    I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
    By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
    Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
    Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.

    After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
    The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList.  Changing it to List resolved the problem.
    I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid.  And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger.  Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

  • Unable to use FiOS Mobile Remote App on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

    I'm one of the holdout Blackberry customers who Verizon doesn't recognize as wanting apps anymore.  I finally broke down and bought an Android tablet device when I saw the FiOS Mobile Remote App and recognized it as an easy solution for controling my multiple HD STBs in my "Man Cave".  Unfortunately, the app has been completely useless.
    The app loads fine.  I'm able to register each HD STB with the app, however doing anything more than the initial set-up for the remote function results in a crash.  Every time I attempt to use it, I get the message "Unfortunately, FiOS Remote has stopped."  I will occassionally see the attempted connection displayed on the corner of my TV screen.
    All other functions of the app work, including the DVR function.
    I've reported this failure for months, using the handy little report button below the crash message.  No response.
    I've commented on this topic in threads from other users with the same problem.  No response.
    I've posted to the comments section of the Google Play store.  No response.
    Please, would someone from Verizon acknowledge this problem exists?  My best theory so far is that my tablet device is not on a Verizon data plan (WiFi only), so therefore Verizon isn't interested in supporting it (or this loyal customer). 
    Device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0, running Android 4.0.4.  All FiOs STBs replaced with latest generation.

    I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. The full list of devices the mobile remote is compatible with is https://www22.verizon.com/OnDemand/unprotected/AboutFlexView.aspx   . You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Submitting all the feedback has gotten word back to Verizon about the troubles you are having. You can also submit this to the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion.   • Cant add Competitors on Mobile Phone App CRM 2015

    I'm currently configuring the mobile phone app for CRM 2015 online.
    The issue i'm having is that i cant seem to add competitors, either directly or to an existing Lead or Opportunity. Although the entity appears in the lead and opportunity records, it only shows already added competitors (which were added via the browser
    or tablet app). I don't seem to have the option to add new competitors within the mobile phone app as the little "+" symbol at the top of the form is not present.
    I have the competitors entity enabled for the mobile phone app and tablet app. the tablet app works fine.
    I've also noticed that competitors entity appears on the tablet home page navigation but not on the mobile home page.
    Any suggestions?

  • Mobile hotspot app not working on Droid Charge

    My mobile hotspot app stopped working today. When I click on the app the screen flashes for a second then nothing happens. I get the same result when going to settings, wireless network, mobile hotspot. It's like the link to the app is broken or the app is gone. I have removed the battery and restarted several times with no luck.
    How do I reinstall the app or fix this?

    WOW! I just changed the date to May and Boom hotspot works. Is that a joke? VZWsupport wrote me on twitter saying their top engineers have it listed as an open issue still.... I'm not a programer or developer by any means but you would think that if the hotspot works fine with the date changed wouldn't overriding or rewriting that part of the software be fairly easy for a big company like Verizon????

    You need to download and install it... same for your iPad.
    FYi...  apps that run on an iOS based devices such as the iPhone and iPad cannot run on a Mac. Two different operating systems.

    Are you sure your AppleID is NOT tied to the US store? If you are trying to buy an app from the Swedish store you will be unable to do that. Some apps are only available on certain stores. That is why you get the "Cannot connect to the iTunes store" message when trying to buy that app. Your updates are being done from the US store ; thats why you can update sometimes and sometimes not.
    If you keep encountering problems contact iTunes support. They will help you sort it out.

    Use iTunes on a PC or MAC.  Backup the iPhone 4 and restore the data to the 6.

    We have recently installed the Xerox Mobile Print Solution. I have been looking at the Mobile Print App for use on iOS ans Android devices within the organisation. I have registed the Company (and received the Company Code) via the Admin Console. However when I try to register an iPad then as soon as I enter the Company Code I recieve an error 'an unexpected server error has occured'. Am I right in thinking this relates to accessing the XMPS Server? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi, Yes you are correct, that error means that your device cannot connect to your Mobile Print Solution Server via the "Cloud" connection. Typically this is caused by a Network Firewall setting that is blocking communication from your Device back to the server. The server local firewall or corporate firewall settings could be blocking communication.  The communication between the Device and your Mobile Print Solution server uses Microsoft Azure Service Bus technology, your server is considered an endpoint.     I have just got a Android tablet. 
    It runs a cut down version of Android 2.1 and doesn't have Android Market on it.
    Anybody got any ideas how I can download the BT FON app without going to the Android Market?

    Yes, and No.
    If you are on BTBBAnywhere, you are on option 3, which gives you unmetred access (nearly) to Fon.
    The key to Fon is not a BT SIM card, but a BTBB a/c.  I only know option 3 (which I am on) and that gives you open access.
    So if you are with another operator with a windows/android/i phone + a BT Broadband #3 a/c, you sign in on the BTBB landing page with you BT username and password (sub-accounts dont work).
    I dont know that #1 and 2 on BTBB have.
