Mobileme not syncing ical

my ipad wi-fi 16gb is not syncing ical to mobileme. I have been messing with settings. Done 3 restores, nothing works.
I searched the forums and didn't see this anywhere. Any ideas?

Hello,
Open System Preferences / MobileMe
Select the Sync tab. Make sure "Calendars" is selected.
Restart your Mac. Connect your iPad to your Mac. Under the Info tab make sure "Sync iCal Calendars" is selected. Click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

  • Mobileme not sync calendars

Since I accepted the new mobile calendar "Upgrade your calendar to maintain syncing and calendar web access"
my calndar on my mac and my  iphone are not  syncing anymore . Pressing the manual sync in system proeferences
mobile just leaves the status stuck on : getting mobileme info, with "cancel sync" buton grayed out.  Guess apple should hire some QA folks, every release of the product seems to fall over.

    Hello,
I ran into the same issue when I converted over to the new MobileMe calendar.  My solution was to delete the accounts from my iPad and iPhone the recreate them on the devices.  After I did this all has been fine.  It would seem that it gets a bit confused on this change in protocol.

  • Can't turn off MobileMe Notes Sync in iOS4

Hey, I've upgraded to iOS 4 on my iPhone 3G and now my Notes always sync back to MobileMe, whether or note syncing is enabled or disabled in settings.
Now in Mail on the Mac my notes keep appearing and if I delete them I lose them on my phone.
I use notes for my daily to-do lists and little notes so I collect loads of them.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? And is there a suggested fix?
    Cheers,
    Sebastian

With the Mail.app on your Mac, are you storing notes on your Mac or with MobileMe?
This is selected at Mail > Preferences under the Composing tab.
Since notes have been available with the Mail.app on your Mac before installing iOS4 on your iPhone, why do you not want your notes available with the Mail.app now?
This is designed to have your notes available at all 3 locations - with the Mail.app on your Mac, with your MobileMe account, and with your iPhone with notes kept synchronized between all 3 just as with contacts and calendar events - unless I'm misunderstanding what the problem is.

  • Can not sync iCal from my iPhone to my iMac

I can not figure out how to Sync the iCal events from my iPhone (where it works fine) to iCal on my iMac.
I have everything checked in iCloud preferences, but it is not working.

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Calendar Syncing (MobileMe *AND* Sync iCal)

I normally sync my calendar through MobileMe. I 'accidentally' turned on 'sync iCal calendars' in the iPhone info tab on iTunes (v9). This duplicated all my appointments. I have turned it off in iTunes but the duplicate calendar remains on my iPhone. Is there a way to delete the 'On My iPhone' calendar?

I copy pasted from this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10418025&#10418025
"I figured it out. Basically you want to turn off your calendars on your iphone, inside settings, inside mail, calendars, email, and from there it's found by clicking on your me or mac.com mail account. Sync. Then turn it back on. It will ask you if you want to merge. You do. Then your extra calendars should disappear."
I had the same problem as you have (had) the method above did work for me.
    Cheers,
    Ivan

  • TS4062 iPhone 6 not syncing iCal events

I created a few events on my laptop & discovered they're not syncing with my iPhone 6+.  However, my iPad is updating events perfectly, so I don't think it's a router issue.  So, I conneced the cable between the laptop & the phone.  It performed a sync.  For some reason, the "WIFI sync w/ this device" option was turned off on my laptop, so I turned that one & followed the trouble-shooting instructions for problems w/ syncing w/ WIFI.  Turned off iTunes, turned my phone off & restarted.  Same problem except now my phone won't update ical events even when connected via a cable.   All my software is up to date on all devices.
    Ideas?

Hi I had time to call Apple today and it seems hopeless. The reason why my iPhone will not sync is that I have an old Macbook (1,1) which cannot handle a higher version of OS X than 10.6.8, which itself cannot handle a higher version of iTunes than 11.4.
With this version of iTunes I can load and install new versions of the iOS and it backs up the phone when I do so. But I cannot start a backup by pressing the Backup button, iTunes stops backing up after a second. Also, I cannot sync, the button is always greyed out.
It does not look like Apple intends to upgrade their software and iTunes for my Macbook anytime soon so it seems I am out of luck...

  • MacBook & iPod Touch not syncing iCal & Address Book data

I have been unable to sync iCal & Contact data between my MacBook and iPod Touch for some time. The iPod shows up in my iTunes but when highlighted with the Info tab clicked neither my contacts nor calendars appear in the appropriate boxes so that they may be synced. I receive a message stating that it is unable to sync this data because syncing is not enabled. When I click 'Yes' to enable syncing I get a message stating that syncing can not be enabled on this computer. I then click 'Override' which essentially does nothing. I am not sure what happened to create this problem nor how to fix it. Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • ICal & MobileMe not syncing

iCal on my Mac no longer syncs with MobileMe even though it is set to synchronise in the preferences pane. How can I fix this?

    Greetings Lou,
You should have received an email in your MobileMe inbox regarding a change in MobileMe calendar (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4037). Calendars no longer sync, they use a different server based system now called CalDAV.  This gets rid of the need for syncing as the calendars "live" within MobileMe now.
Turn off Calendar syncing in the MobileMe preference pane in system preferences.
Follow this article to setup your iCal for the new system: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4330
    Cheers.

  • Iphone does not sync ical w/macbook

Responses suggest going to ical system preferences and open icloud.  My system preferences has NO icloud, only mobileme.

There is no mobile.me, it was closed down more than a year ago. You would have received several timely reminders about that:
    June 2011:
iWeb publishing, MobileMe Gallery, and iDisk will all disappear as the company sunsets its current online service in favor of iCloud.
Other MobileMe services—including syncing of Mac Dashboard widgets, keychains, Dock items, and System Preferences—will not be part of iCloud, Apple says. Those syncing services will stop working as soon you migrate from MobileMe to iCloud. In addition, Apple says that while MobileMe members can no longer upgrade to a Family Pack or buy additional MobileMe storage, Family Pack members will be able to transition their accounts to iCloud individually, as long as it’s done before June 30, 2012.
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1160728/apple_mobile_me_transition_faq.html
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MobileMe
    August 2012:
As of today, visitors to MobileMe.com are no longer given the option to convert their accounts to iCloud or to retrieve old photos and files, with Apple now simply pointing users to iCloud.

  • MobileMe NOT syncing

Has anyone else experienced this problem…
Since the update my MobileMe has not been syncing with contacts and calendars…
Any suggestion on how to correct…

It could be that your iPhone is not associated anymore with your MobileMe account.
Have you checked that your iPhone in iTunes Devices is shown with the same name as before and have you checked that it's authorised? (If the Device name is the same then it should be!)
(Apple are consistent, at least, so 'something' has changed and it's only necessary to work out 'what'!)

  • MobileMe not syncing Bookmarks in Lion

MobileMe does not appear to be syncing my bookmarks in Safari.  It has properly synced my address book as well as my mail signatures and rules, but no bookmarks.
    Anyone else having this problem?
In fact, I've reported elsewhere that even importing my old bookmarks from Snow Leopard doesn't seem to stick.  As soon as I quit and restart Safari, it resets back to it's default, losing all of my imported bookmarks.

Yes, of course I have it set up to sync.  That is funny you put that in there though.  I guess it's hard to guess what level of technical savvy most posters have, so it's better to be safe.
I think it has more to do with Safari than with MobileMe.  Before I even started Safari on Lion, I replaced the Bookmarks.plist with my previous version, which seemed to work once I first booted up Safari, but realized they were gone whenever I quit out and restarted.
Afterwards, that's when I tried using the import command, which again seemed to work but they also disappeared upon restarting.  Not sure what is going on but it seems to have affected MobileMe now.  I think I'll remove my Safari folder and try to start over.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.0.0 not syncing ical properly

I just switched over from awful Missing Sync to BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.0.0. I believe I have tried every permutation to sync my iCal with no luck. Some events sync while others don't. I sync all calendars, I replace all events on device, I deinstall and reinstall the device and still the two don't propely sync.

  • IPhone not syncing iCal after last update

    Hello,
I just recently started having trouble syncing my iPhone 5. I think the trouble began after I updated the OS to 7.1. The sync issue seems to be with events that I've added to iCal on my iPhone that are not being synced with iCal on my MacBook Pro (10.7.5). iCal sync works the other direction, i.e. events I've added on my MacBook will show up on the iPhone.
I've tried doing Wi-Fi sync and USB cable sync, no difference. I walked through the steps in the Advanced troubleshooting article for calendar syncing, but that doesn't seem to have worked: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2481
    Any ideas?

I have to say that is a completely stupid thing Apple has done - they have solved a problem that didn't exist.
I plug my iPhone into my laptop and - bam - everything is synced.  No fuss, no muss.  To force everyone to (1) use iCloud or (2) use another syncing service is inefficient and pointless - not exactly the Apple way which I thought was the whole point of Apple's/Jobs' vision. Perhaps Apple is competing with Google to try to get as much information about us as possible?
Just called Apple at 1.800.694.7466 and they told me the issue isn't with Mavericks per se but with iTunes 11.1.5.
According the helpful woman I spoke to, no one at Apple knows why Apple decided to remove the ability to sync everything via USB.  She hears complaints about the change and knows it makes life difficult for folks.
She also recommended contacting www.apple.com/feedback about the change.  She says Apple does in fact have a group of people who do read the comments.
