Mobility Wireless Domain GROUP
Hi Everybody,
I need some of your comment and explanation regarding the configuration of Mobility Group on Wireless Unified Architecture
I have to WLC both run version 7.0.116.0, i want deploy a unified wireless on the 2 Sites, and the site are on Different network separate by Router
I want to know if i can setup a Mobility Domain Group for have a common Wireless Environment where my client can have different DHCP Ip, bu the same SSID on Both Site and permit the Roaming ?
Bellow is a Poor Design of what i Expected, just for give you a quick idea

A: Indeed you can.
You can add each controller to the controller mobility group, for the different IPs the two controllers will make Layer 3 roaming.
In this case you have WLC1 -> AP1 -> VLAN1 <--> Client
this client is connected to SSID and has VLAN1 IP address
Now this client has moved to AP2 -> WLC2 -> VLAN 2 (Same SSID)
WLC1 will become the anchor and WLC2 will become the foreign. Client entry will remain active in both controller, the client IP will be from VLAN1.
This means that the traffic will be sent between the two controller inside the EoIP mobility tunnel and the client had smooth roaming.

All accounts that are attempting to use the Test Workflow (both working and non-working user accounts) are valid AD accounts and are included in the User Profile Sync that runs nightly. All have Contribute or Design permission level (and for testing,
Full Control).
What could cause the Claims Authentication to fail when certain users attempt to launch the workflow?

I am facing issue with work flow where Workflow goes to Suspend mode.
I am facing an issue with SP2013 Custom Workflow developed using Visual Studio 2012.
Objective of the Custom workflow: User fills the form and submit, list get updated and workflow will initiate and go for the process.
Issue: After the deployment of WF, for first time when user is filling the form and submit, list is getting updated. But the Workflow Goes to "Suspend" mode. (
This Custom Workflow has a configuration file where we are providing other details including ID of Impersonator (farm is running under Claim Based Authentication).
Work flow works fine once when the Impersonator initiate the workflow (Fill the form and submit for approval) and everything works fine after that.
Following steps are already performed
1.Make sure User profile synchronization is started.
2.Make sure the user is not the SharePoint system user.
3.Make sure the user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
4.Step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
From the ULS logs it seems the user's security token from the STS service and User profile service is not being issued.
Appreciate any thoughts or solution.

When trying to access a lot of site collections in different web applications, I am given this error message. The error message started suddenly appearing, and I do not know what caused it. It started happening after I turned on Request Management Service
Application, though I can't see how that would cause this, and it was not fixed after I turned it off.
I have the necessary permissions, as I have been able to log on to the sites before without any issue. I am using a domain administrator account who is a site collection administrator.
At first I thought it was an issue related to User Profile Service Application, as I was having issues starting the Synchronisation instance. I deleted and re-installed UPS, got synchronisation to work, and it still does not work. I have made no changed
to the AD schema. I have not moved any accounts recently, and I have not deleted any accounts.

I have recently bought a Seagate Goflex satellite mobile wireless hardrive , i have converted some of my AVI movies to MP4 and loaded them onto the hard drive, when I try and play them through my I pad2 I can hear the sound of the movie but not see the film, somebody please help, what am I doing wrong as I have spent a lot of time converting these movies to be able to travel with my iPad and watch them. Unfortunately, the drive is pretty much restricted without hacking it. That is, you can't stream its content via standardized protocols like UPnP, SMB, FTP and the like. This makes you won't be able to access its content from any third-party apps otherwise capable of playing back AVI files from UPnP / SMB / FTP / WebDAV etc. sources.
While this is certainly not a recommendation (I can in no way be held responsible if anything goes wrong): you may want to consider extending the capabilities of the drive by installing the hack: http://www.hackseagatesatellite.com/wordpress/welcome/
It'll "open" the drive for third-party, AVI-capable multimedia apps like GoodPlayer, It's Playing etc. to directly play the files over the network. -
Members of domain groups with administrative privileges no longer admins?
Have a strange behavior that I am not sure how to fix.
Using OS X 10.6.7 native Active Directory client to bind to domain. I have directory utility configured to allow administration for a domain group. At first things worked great and members of those domain groups were indeed admins on the machine however the next day one of these users logs in and they are no longer admins. If you run directory utility again using a local admin account you can see that those domain groups are still configured to allow administration but none of those users show as being admins. Then suddenly, as if I did anything, those users show as being admins again. Why? I don't understand how this can flip back and forth like that.Was this ever solved?? We have the same issue with 10.8.3. It seems a network connection to your AD servers is required when logging in. Otherwise the check cannot be made and the user never receives admin rights. A huge problem for users with laptops that work offline.

Windows server domain group membership with functional level 2003 - windows API

I am a programmer trying to get members of a global domain group using windows server 2008 enterprise edition,
in the past there wasn't a functional level 2003 on windows server, but when 2003 functional level appeared a new features were added like adding
a global group as a member to another global group in the domain,
in the past the API written could get the members if the member was a user, but it can't get a member if it was a global group.
I am using this API "NetGroupGetUsers" to get a members of a global domain group, and it gets the users but it doesn't get the
members if they were global groups...
I tried another API "NetLocalGroupGetMembers" it is getting a global group as a member but it is working only if the owner group was a local group on the server
or on another machine that is added to the server, but this API doesn't work if the owner group was a domain global group.
My question is how to get members of a global group including the members that are global groups too???

This interface is based on Win 2000, and since Win 2000 did not support
global group nesting, this interface does not, too...

Domain group validation hangs during ECC 6.0 install on windows server 2008
Hello to the group.
We are installing ECC 6.0 R3 on a windows server 2008 system (with SQL 2008) and the install is hanging in the user/group creation steps. Specifically, the install is able to create a group at the domain level but hangs when it tries to verify that group.
What's funny is the system is able to create two local domain groups without any issues.
Have any of you run into this same issue? We've tried updating sapinst and restarting the install process using a known good domain admin account (we are also creating a ticket to SAP support).

You can doubleclick on the orange icon (the sapinst backend process) next to the clock on the desktop and scroll down. There you may find a hint why it's taking so long.
Maybe you have a wrong/missing DNS server entry so the server is unable to find the domain controller, maybe the firewall is enabled and blocking asynchronous answers.

No, group policy is processed by order, that is, local GPO is processed first, and then domain policy is processed by order, which would overwrite settings in the earlier GPOs if there are conflict.
If you don’t want to apply the domain policy, apply a higher precedence policy or disjoin the domain.

How to share mobile wireless connection from Win XP to mac?

I have two comupters,one mac and one PC (win XP). I am trying to share the mobile wireless broadband from my PC to the mac. I set up the sharing from mac to PC successfully quite a while ago, but now I need to work extensively on mac. So I tried to set up the sharing in the other around and nothing worked at all. Here is what I did.
1. I enabled the sharing of the mobile wireless connection on PC.
2. I tried to set up a small/home network, but it didn't work on Mac as the windows softwares can't be run on mac
3. I also tried to set up a peer-to-peer connection from PC to Mac which also didn't work.

These enterpises employ around 80 percent of the working population. By nature of their size these businesses simply cannot afford the UC500 range of products. It is a huge market for a product of the UC320W's ilk but these business will not be fobbed off with a product like the current UC320W with a very limited range of features.
Right now the indecision in how this product is to develop means we do not sell it, albeit we believe it has great potential. However, we can't sell potential without a defined and commited roadmap and commitment from Cisco to the product. If not that, then please put us all out of our misery and EOL the UC320W.
Does the recently released SPA302D DECT handset have potential to be a DECT solution for the UC320W?

BOXI - Windows AD - Multiple AD domain groups
Hi,
We have groups from different AD domains and we need to map all these groups to BOXI. Currently we have mapped a group from one domain 'Dom1' & have made it as the default domain (Default domain -> Dom1 & Administration credentials -> Dom1\AdminUser).
Can you guide me how to map groups from other AD domains to BOXI??If the domain is in the same AD forest then you should be able to map in groups from any other domain in the same forest simply by using domain\group. If this doesn't work, make sure that the domain in question is in the same AD forest, You can also add a CMS registry string or dword UseFQDNForDirectoryServers True. There is an SAP note on it with more detail if you search that term.
If the domain is in another forest then you will have to use another plugin (LDAP/NT) in XI versions prior to 3.1. If you have XI 3.1 which has added multiple forest support then all you need to do is to make sure a 2 way trust exists between domains.

For instance, it appears that if machine-level registry settings contained within a LocalGPO file on a client get corrupted (C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\registry.pol), all of those settings, plus all machine level administrative template settings
defined in Domain Group Policy, get reverted to default settings (corresponds with Event ID 1096 in System Event Log where it references "LocalGPO"). I have not confirmed if this is the case for machine level settings defined outside of administrative
templates in Domain Group Policy, or for any user level settings though. (But I suspect not.)
When a workstation is unable to talk to a Domain Controller in order to identify applicable Domain Group Policy settings (for instance, this issue:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2421599/en-us), do administrative templates Domain Group Policy settings revert to defaults up until the next successful processing interval? I don't believe
so, but would like confirmation.
Are there any other cases in which Domain Group Policy settings for a client still joined to the Domain would be reverted to defaults?
And when a client is unjoined from the Domain, what Domain Group Policy settings would remain on the client? I understand that some Domain Group Policy settings outside of administrative templates are "tattooed" to the registry. Does
anyone know of a full list of these settings? I believe that most or all of the ones in Windows Settings\Security Settings are tattooed, and the only way to get these settings removed is to explicitly change them via registry edit or LocalGPO/Local Security
Policy, after unjoining the domain.

As far as I know, it's not this case. If a client can't communicate with domain controllers, it means that the GPOs applied to the client are out of scope. As suggested by
the article I provided, for native policy, "when a Group Policy object (GPO) goes out of scope, the policy setting is removed allowing the original configuration value to be used."

Group policy will be get updated when computers start up and users log on. Besides, for workstations, group policy will get refreshed at background with by default an interval
of 90 minutes. As long as workstations can restore network connectivity, the group policy settings will get updated.

There are many reasons which can cause GP malfunction. However, Windows itself provides necessary tools for troubleshooting various issues. When GP malfunctions, we can check
Event Viewer, collect group policy result, or generate group policy log to troubleshoot.
