Modification in the query

hi folks,
I need help in writing this query. This is what I have been working...
select kposn kschl krech kawrt kbetr kwert from
konv INNER JOIN jhak on konvknumv = jhakknumv inner join jhaga on  jhakavm_nr = jhagaavm_nr into table cdata where jhaga~inserent = p_custid.
I need to extract data from table 'konv'(cluster table)and the way you link the fields has to be this way.<b>I know using cluster table I cannot use JOIN statements</b> but the data i want is stored in cluster table while the selection field is located is 'jhaga' (transparent table)
Can anyone help me in modifying this query without changing the where condition?
thanks
Santhosh

I'm not really sure if this will work for you or not.  I don't have those 2 tables(jhak and jhaga) in my system.

    Thanks.

  • Bex Query: Too many table names in the query The maximum allowable is 256

    Hi Experts,
I need your help, Im working on a Query using a multiprovider of 2 datastores, I need to work with cells to assign specific acconts values to specific rows and columns, so I was creating a Structure with elements from a Hierarchy, but I get this error when I'm half way of the structure:
"Too many table names in the query. The maximum allowable is 256.Incorrect syntax near ')'.Incorrect syntax near 'O1'."
Any idea what is happening? is ti possible to fix it? do I need to ask for a modification of my Infoproviders? Some one told me is possible to combine 2 querys, is it true?
Thanks a lot for your time and pacience.

    Hi,
The maximum allowable limit is 256 holds true. It is the max no. of characteristics and key figures that can be used in the column side. While creating a structure, you create key figures (restricted or calculated) and formulas etc.. The objects that you use to create these should not be more than 256.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/4d/e2bebb41da1d42917100471b364efa/frameset.htm
Not sure if combination of 2 query's is possible.  You can use RRI. Or have a woorkbook with 2 queries.
    Hope it helps.

  • Not able to create a universe when using nav. att. 0MATL_TYPE in the query

    Dear experts,
A few days ago I posted a message in the BO General Category due to this error and I was adviced to install SP19 in BW (3.5). We've allready installed it but the issue is still arising. I am posting this thread now in this category since maybe the other category was too general and this one a little bit more specified.
The error we are having is the following:
We are having an issue when trying to create a universe over a BEx query which uses navigational attribute 0MATL_TYPE of 0MATERIAL (0MATERIAL__0MATL_TYPE).
No matter where do we insert this nav. attribute in the query (lines, columns, free characteristics...) that we are not able to create the universe. We receive a message when trying to create it such as "error without message"
We have other navigational attributes from several characteristics which are not giving us any problems in universes, just nav attributes 0MATL_TYPE and a Z characteristic (ZMATPR) which is the same as 0MATL_TYPE (it is defined the same way, not related).
    We are working with:
    BW 3.5 - SP19, BEx 3.x
BOBJ XI 3.0 (without service pack or fix pack)
Does any one have any clue on what could be the reason for this issue??
Thanks in advance for your interest!
    Best regards!!!!
    Cecilia

    Hello Ingo,
First of all thanks for your help, since we are really concerned about this issue.
We have been analysing the file you have talked us about. The thing is that a week and a half ago we had to write an OSS message to SAP concerning another issue, and we were recommended to install note 1260004 which involves editing the registry in order to show SOFA logs, and if we have understood correcty, the file you have given us modifies as well the server registry in order to show sofa logs.
Does the file you have given us includes new information in the SOFA logs, what is the difference between what we have changed with the SAP note and what you have given us?
Nevertheless, we have retrieved two logs from two executions (having navigational attribute 0MATL_TYPE in the query from which we want to create the universe) in case you could help us to interpret the informations given since we are not able to understand it. (You can seen them below my signature.....haven't find a way to attach files....sorry....)
Thank's very much in advance for your help!!!! This is so disconcerting.......
    Best regards!
No way , I cannot copy the logs since the message format is destroyed when I copy it..... If you need it please inform me and we will send it to you!
    Thanks again for the help!!!

  • How to add customize message on the variable selection screen in the query

    Hi all,
Can we add an customise message on the variable selection screen in the query? If yes please let me know how it can be achevied?
    Thanks,
    Rani

    Hi Rani,
I faced a similar issue (for what I understand your request is).
My requirement for the Variable Screen was to do:
       1) place a link to a ppt file
       2) remove buttons "Save", "Save As...), "Delete"... the standard buttons come when running the Query or WebTempl
We were using a Web Templ for BI7.0
I struggled trying to find out how to do it. My conclusions are:
    - WAD, not sure we can accomplish it using a Web Template but i did not "play" a lot with the Web_Template Properties in order to know
    - XHTML, I was told in my post HTML modification was the way, but I have close to nil background in HTML and couold not find the way of accessing the Variable Entry screen
For instance, I had to remove similar buttons and change some font size from a link on the Web Template (WAD), which was pretty straight forward. In WAD the buttons come with its own icon and to increase the Font size for that link we used XHTML (<font size="2" >). But the heck of the variable screen...well, i just did not get trhough to it to modify it in any way.
    Good luck,
Definetly in a Query I would say that no.

PS: If anyone had a better insight, please feel free to share it.

  • Error on saving the query

    Hi all,
While saving an existing query after modifications, I am getting an error message: Query Element could not be saved to order (transport req number). Task has been created in my name under this transport. Still getting the same error.
I checked in SU53 , authorisation check is successful.
Others are able to save the same query. but for me its showng error.
Checked in Sdn threads, thread with same topic is available but solution is not there.
    Please help.

I just added some fields to free characterstics.
Actually in Transport Connection n RSA1, its shown that the query is saved in a transport number. But other user can edit the query even if no task is there in his name undr that transport. Task in my name is there but I am not able even to save the query.
If its already in transport , how another user can edit and save it.
And if it is getting saved to $ Tmp, why is it so, as it is already in a transport request.

  • Problem while changing the query of the field in Oracle apps 11.5.10

    Hello All,
    Requirement:
User want to change the query of the LOV attached to Ordered item field on Line items tab on the Sales order form in Order managment
    Block name = 'LINE'
    Field name = 'ORDERED_ITEM_DSP'
LOV attached to this field in FMB: ITEMS
LOV attached to this field in front end: ENABLE_LIST_LAMP
Problem: Following code is firing at all points (Debug messages are appearing at all points) but Query of the LOV attached to item is still same.
How can in FMB LOV is "ITEMS" and in front end "ENABLE_LIST_LAMP"
My guess is there is some problem with the LOV name which we are passing in the code below. Because LOV name attached to item are different in front end and FMB. There is no LOV in FMB which has “SYSTEM ITEMS Description” kind of structure.
I have written following code in custom.pll (l_chr_rg_query is query taken from the record group attached to “ITEMS” named LOV with some modifications ex: rownum<6 so that it will show only 6 records in LOV if it is really firing our query for LOV)
    IF ( form_name = ‘OEXOEORD’
    AND block_name = ‘LINE’
    AND field_name = ‘ORDERED_ITEM_DSP’
    AND event_name = ‘WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE’
    THEN
    MESSAGE (‘message1’);
    l_chr_rg_name := ‘XXLION_UNIFORM_CODE_RG’;
    l_chr_rg_query :=

I found that there is no problem with code. My problem is not technical, its a functional problem.
It is related to Inventory's "System Items" KFF.
Can anybody tell me, to this "System Items" KFF, one value set is assigned. but it is of none type of value set. so from where the values in LOV are coming?

  • How to find the query name using infoset name

    Hi Experts
Iam new to the sap queries(SQ01,SQ02), some queries already created.
now i want to do some modification, my problem is i am not able to find the query name.
I know the infoset name, can you tell me how to find the query name using the infoset name, is ther any table for this.
i tried in sq01 also, but its confusion, pls advice me on this.
    thanks in advance.
    regards
    rajaram

    Hi
    try like this..
    SQ02 --> go to --> Query Directory..
from there you can get all the queries belong to a Infoset.

  • Update the Query view

    Hi
I have one query with 12 different views. Now if i change the query is there any ways the view will be saved ? Or do i have to do changes everytime in view manually ?
    please advise.
I will assign the points to answer.
    Thank You,
    KSmith

    Hi
When you modify the query, the modification will effect the existing views.
Example: if you add a free characteristic, then the views will remain same.... and the user will be able to drill on this free characteristic.
if you add a Key Fig.... then it will change all the views for this query.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can we customise the query

    Hi,
I have a query like this
    SELECT
    POBJ.NAME as Object_Name,
    TAS.NAME as phase_name
    FROM
    PROJECTS PRO,
    PROJECT_OBJECTS POBJ,
    TASKS TAS
    WHERE
    PRO.ID = POBJ.PRO_ID AND
    PRO.ID = TAS.PRO_ID AND
    TAS.NAME IN ('Build','Design','Testing','Test') AND
    PRO.ID = 2953
Here each object has 4 phases displayed i want to dispay some thing like this
    object-1 Build,Design,Testing,Test
    object-2 Build,Design,Testing,Test
now the reports is getting generatied like this
    object-1 Build
    object-1 Design
    object-1 Testing
    object-1 Test
    object-2 Build
    object-2 Design
    object-2 Testing
    object-2 Test
can we do it like this any modification in the report
    thanks
    Sudhir

I have a another requirement in the above query i defined phase names where that was the condition to display the data normally phase name will vary from object to object if u dont include the condition of build, testing, design will i be able to get all the phase names that are associated to object,
now its like max(condition) we are alter
    i tryed altering like this
    SELECT
    POBJ.NAME,
    MAX(TAS.NAME)
    FROM
    PROJECTS PRO,
    PROJECT_OBJECTS POBJ,
    TASKS TAS
    WHERE
    PRO.ID = POBJ.PRO_ID AND
    PRO.ID = TAS.PRO_ID AND
    PRO.ID = 2673
    GROUP BY POBJ.NAME
I GET ONLY THE LAST PHASE GETTING DISPLAYED THERE ARE MANY PHASES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED TO OBJECT
    how to modify
    thanks

  • TP problems, transporting the query views

    Hello Expert's
I created two query views on the exiting querys, now i transporting the two views,
How to do transfer the views,
    i am confusing following procedures,
    1. In RSA1 -> Transport Connector ->Object types -> query views ->Two query views are selected. YES (or)No
    2. If selecting views i am not selecting the query and query elements, only the views. YES (or) No
3 And i saved the querys in Package and created a TP. YES (or) No
if selecting the query views after that what i has done
    please suggest me suitable answer
    it urgent
    thanks in advance
    aravind.s

    Hello Anand,
    1. In RSA1 -> Transport Connector ->Object types -> query views ->Two query views are selected. YES (or)No
Yes, Collect only the view if the Query is already transported. If the query is not transported then select the Query with Dataflow afterwards it will collect all the views as well.
    2. If selecting views i am not selecting the query and query elements, only the views. YES (or) No
Yes, if the query are already transported.
3 And i saved the querys in Package and created a TP. YES (or) No
Yes, definitely you have to capture these views in a package and transport request.
Once the views are collected in a transport request , release the request and inform the transport team to import to the target system (Qual or Prod)
Note : In BI/BW BEx tranports are handled differently and not like other objects such as InfoCube, InfoObject. So whenever you are working with BEx Objects make sure that you assing a transport request in the following
RSA1->Transport Connect -> BEx Icon (Truck Symbol) -> Assign Package and Request using the Assign Button.
If you transport system is configured to capture the BEx objects during creation or modification then the above step is not required.
    Thanks

  • Performance - reading the query cost

Which of these three represent the most efficient query?  I'm wondering if the smallest plan in bytes is the best plan.  Also, are eager spools expensive or inexpensive, and is a smaller sub-tree cost better than a larger sub-tree cost?  The
first plan is 48 bytes and the second is 160 bytes.   Both return the same records.  project is smaller than architecture but architecture comes from a different database.
    R, J

The architecture table is small with about 1700 records, the project table is small with about 1100 records, the access_level, approval_version, and security_classifications are tiny.  This is a group of tables called repeatedly for security.
It's more like a scalar function (though it seeds a table) or perhaps it can be considered as a boolean qualifier.   The upper one is a modification that removes the tables that are joined in from another databases.  Those have been removed
and placed into a single schema-bound table.  The query executes in about 10 milliseconds but is frequently blocked by itself.
My question is more about the way the scan plan changes (hashes, eager spools and so on).  The cost of the architecture scan doesn't change much but it pushes the table into the calling database to the top of the query plan and most of the scan becomes
a hash.  There's a third rendition where the LEFT JOIN is changed to a LEFT LOOP JOIN [which I recently discovered].   I expected the schema-binding to provide better results - so the first of the two would be the better plan, I suppose.
I'm not sure.  With the loop join condition, I was able to force a seek.   It also crossed my mind that given the tiny size of the tables, perhaps they'd be better off without an index.
Here is what happens when the LOOP JOIN condition is added.

  • Master data is not getting displayed in the Query Designer

    Hi,
I have a DSO in which I have an InfoObject called Emp No. in the Data Field.
The Emp.No is being maintained as master with (Emp Name, Address, Telephone No, DOB) as attributes.
I have loaded the data in the Emp. No. master. Then tried loading the transaction data in DSO.
The Emp.No is there in the DSO active data, but in the query designer its not getting displayed.
    Hope its clear.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I have brought the Emp. No. in the Key Field and also have activate the master data again.
Yet my Query Designer doesn't have the Emp. No.
I have done a full load for both Master and Transaction.
Please advice me what the other alternative.
    Thanks

  • VO Extension Error in modifying the query of XML Publisher Report Template

    Hi Friends,
I have one requirement related to calling XML Publisher Reports Template from OAF Page.
When clicking on the submit button the XML Publisher template is calling and displaying the data.
Our requirement is to display some more columns in the XML Publisher Template and display the data.
As according to OAF stndards, whenever we need to add new columns for display or SELECT purpose,
we will do the VO Extension. So we modified the query by adding the new additional colums in the standard VO.
I am able to retrieve the data from the SQL DEVELOPER. But when doing the VO Extension process and
calling the template from the OAF page its throwing the following error. Please suggest me some alternatives
