    Anne,
AOL by policy deletes messages in the Inbox (and also the Sent) after 27 days. To save longer, the messages must be moved to the folder named Saved that AOL sets up on the server. There is nothing in Mail to cause this, but AOL's own action.
Is this perhaps what she is having issue with?

  • PLM7.02: Status & Release Management/ Status and Action Management

    Hello,
I´d like to know if anybody worked with Status & Release Management. And has some example to how we can customize: SAM (Status and Action Management) in “Define Status Scheme” transaction.
How it´s works the relationship with: Status: Attributes, Status: Field values, Scheme Definition, Attributes: Definition.
I´ll appreciated if you could give me a simple example of this functionality.
                    Thanks in advance.
                    Best Regards from Brazil.
                    Rodrigo Arai

    Hi Rodrigo,
    in a nutshell:
    - you can define status network based on objects (w.g. material)
    - Define Attributes: you can define attributes like DELETION_ALLOWED or LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE and you can implement preconditions in custom classes when should it happen
    - Define Status Field: you can define some fields which are related to the status. e.g. in recipe management RCP_USAGE
    - Status: you can define the different statuses (e.g. in process, completed..) with attributes
    - Scheme Definition: you can define the logic between statuses. E.g. you would like to swith from status In Process to Completed and from New to In Process. Then switching from New to Completed is not possible for the user.
    - Subobject Type Scheme only applied if you have subobjects
here you can find the customizing documentation, there are some examples as well:
    Define Status Scheme
    Use
In this Customizing activity, you define statuses and status schemes for object types and corresponding attributes.
For each status, you can define which attributes are allowed to be set for an object with this status assigned.
The status scheme defines the initial status and the possible transitions from one status to another.
    Activities
You define status schemes as follows:
    1. Select the required object type and enter the following:
    a) An identifier
    b) An object type class (Note: this class should implement the interface class)
    c) A subobject type search help
The search help provides a list of all possible subobject types. This feature enhances the usability while  maintaining status schemes at subobject-type level.
    d) If the
    Status
tab page shall be visible on the PLM Web UI, select the
    Status Tab
    checkbox
Status and action management is a reusable object. It has been modeled as a dependent object. The prerequisites to enable status and action management for any new objects are:
Add the Status and Action Management tab page on the UI.
Enable the Status Tab checkbox in this Customizing activity.
    2. Select the required object type and define the following attributes for it:
    a) An object type
    b) An attribute identifier
    c) An attribute description
    d) An attribute type
    e) Select a precondition class (Note: This class should implement the '/PLMB/IF_SAM_PRECONDITION' interface)
    3. Define the technical status field name.
When you change the object status, the system updates the technical status field names to the new values made in these settings.
    4. Select object type and define corresponding statuses.
    a) Select the status and define the corresponding object type, an identifier, description, and status icon.
    Note:
You cannot define new statuses for materials and material BOMs. For these objects, all values should be transferred from the back-end system.
You can import the status values from the back-end system as follows:
    b) Select the object type that represents a material or a MatBOM.
    c) Select
    Status
    in the dialog structure.
    d) Choose the
    New Entries
    pushbutton.
    e) Choose the
    Import Status
    pushbutton.
    Note
The system imports the following status values into SAM:
    For material: the
    X-plant matl status
    (cross-plant material status)
    For MatBOM: the header status
Although you cannot change the imported value for a material or a MatBOM, you can change its name and description to conform to SAM terminology.
You can differentiate between the following cases for objects whose status values are imported from the back-end system:
The object was not created on the PLM Web UI, but in the back-end system; no SAM status scheme or status was assigned, but a status value was set in the back-end system.
If you assign a SAM status scheme to this object later on that contains the equivalent imported status values, the SAM status value is set accordingly, even if any precondition check results of the SAM status scheme may exist.
The object was created in the back-end system or on the Web UI and a SAM status scheme is assigned to the object on the PLM Web UI.
If the corresponding status value is changed in the back-end system, then existing SAM preconditions for this status transition and allowed status transitions are checked. If the preconditions are not fulfilled, a message is raised and the new status cannot be saved.
    5. Specify which attributes are allowed for each object type when the chosen status is set.
    a) Select a status and open the
    Attributes
    screen.
    b) Choose an object type.
    c) Choose an attribute.
    6. Define whether values from other technical fields are affected by setting this status.
    a) Select a status and open the
    Field Values
    screen.
    b) Select an object type.
    c) Select a technical field name.
    7. Specify the status scheme. The status scheme defines the initial status and status transition for the object type. For example, below is a list of standard status schemes defined for iPPE object types.
    Assembly Header - PLM_PPEAH
    Assembly Item - PLM_PPEAI
    Product Item Variant - PLM_PPEPIV
    Product Variant - PLM_PPEPV
You can also create schemes for the object type as follows:
    a) Specify an identifier and description for the status scheme and set one of the statuses defined above as the initial status.
    b) Select the status scheme and open the
    Transitions
screen. Enter all possible status transitions by specifying the source (
    Status From
    ) and target status (
    Status To
    c) Select the
    Long Text
checkbox if you want the system to open the long text editor on the
    Status
tab in the PLM Web UI. You can use the long text editor to create notes for this transition.
    8. Define the scheme at subobject-type level by entering following parameters:
    a) Object type
    b) Subobject type (You can choose from the list of subobject types you have specified when defining the search help in step 1)
Alternatively, you can define a default status scheme that is automatically displayed on the
    Status
    tab.
The following statuses are included in the standard delivery:
    10 -  In Work
    20 - For Approval
    LINKED_DIR
    LINKED_MAT
    LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE
REPLACE_PH_ASSEMBLY (only in the PLM_PPEAI assembly item and the PLM_PPEPIV product item variant)
    30 - Released For Planning
    LOCKED_FOR_CHANGE
    40 - Released
    RELEASED
    SUB_ITEM_STATUS
The following status transitions are possible:
    FROM
    TO
Long Text checkbox (dialog box for notes)
    10
    20

  • Set PF-STATUS and use SY-UCOMM in an Exit FM

    Hi,
I am working on an Exit function, and I am trying to read the screen status and then the user's actions, so that I could code for the SY-UCOMM. For some reason, my program is not working. Is it possible to add the PF-STATUS and SY-UCOMM to the Exit function to process the user's actions? Please advise.
    Thanks,
    RT

    Hi Ravikumar,
I was able to use the parameters in the Exit provided in the Exit FM to process the necessary data. I have other requirements where I would have to code in the Exit FM to detect the user's actions and process them within the Exit to manipulate the tables. I added some code specified in the previous post, but it doesn't seem to get the OK_CODE; therefore, no processing of the data was happening when I tested by clicking on the yellow arrow to exit. I am able to determine the OK_CODE though.
Would you have any sample code suggestions when using the Exit for SET PF-STATUS and SY-UCOMM?
    Thanks so much.

  • Regarding screen modification and messages

    hi experts,
    1. I have devloped one screen 0100 and diaplayed 4 fields from ztable in input/output format. i hv also created 2 buttons for inserting and deletion.
so when i give input for the fields and when i click insert the data is inserting into ztable properly. but when the same data again given as input it is modifying the data. so wht i want is when we give aleady existing data as input is shoud give message as 'DATA ALREADY EXITS IN ZTABLE ' and also it should dispaly  options want to change data if i click YES it should CONTINUE modify existing data if no it should not modify the existing record.
    2. Also the fields which i hv displayed are in input / output form  so i want to make them as active and deactive according to the requiment.  i want to keep one button on application tool bar when i click change the fields will be in input mode or else when i again click that it will show me in display mode. i hv seen some demo programes in abap docu but unable to understand it please any body can give me clear idea about this code.

            elseif  cols-screen-input = '1'.
              cols-screen-input = '0'.
            endif.
how can i use this one when i am using ztable fields displayed on screen.?
    <b>points will be rewared</b>
    regards,
    priyanka reddy.

    Hi Priyanka,
I worked on a project with similar requirement.
To check if the data entered is already present in the Z Table or not check this code:
Here, CREATE is the function code of my push button in the screen. This is similar to the INSERT button in your case.ZTM09_EKKO is the name of the Z table and the purchase order number EBELN is beoing checked. If the value is alreadypresent in the table, then sy-subrc value will be equal to 0 as the select querry has successfully retrieved EBELN from ZTM09_EKKO.
In the screen,I have given the name of the input/output field name same as the ztable field name i.e., ZTM09_EKKO-EBELN.
Hence if duplicate entry is enterd in the input/output field, then the error message is displayed.
And to change the data. You can use this code.
Th function modeul will display a pop-up window. In my case if i click on Yes,the data has to be saved in Ztable. If I click on No,The program should exit.If I click on Cancel,The popup window has to close and the data would remain in th fields of the screen.
You can code according to ypur requirement for YEs,No and Cancel buttons in the Pop-up.
      DATA answer TYPE c.
    case sy-ucomm.
    when 'CREATE'.
SELECT SINGLE EBELN FROM ZTM09_EKKO INTO ITAB_P WHERE EBELN =
    ZTM09_EKKO-EBELN.
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
MESSAGE  'PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER ALREADY EXISTS'  type 'I'.
            CALL TRANSACTION 'ZCREATE09'.
***Call funtion to display popup asking for modify or mot*****
            CALL FUNCTION 'C14A_POPUP_SAVE_WITH_CANCEL'
              IMPORTING
                e_answer = answer.
          IF answer = 'N'.
    ***Leaving the program****
            LEAVE PROGRAM.
          ELSEIF answer = 'J'.
****Holding the data on the screen when YES is selected****
                set hold data on.
          ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
For making the input/output fields active or deactive,
    check this piece of code:
Here on clicking on the TOGGLE button, the screen will be looped and it will check the screen names.
IF any of the screen names i.e.s the input/output fields are in active modde(i.e., 1)then they are made inactive. If they are in inactive modee(i.e., 0)then they are made active.
    case SY_UCOMM.
    when 'TOGGLE'.
    loop at screen.
    if screen-input = '0'.
    screen-input = '1'.
    elseif screen-input = '1'.
    screen-input = '0'.
    endif.
    endloop.
AS far as the code that you have put in the querry,
it also works the same way.
The only difference is that in the code that you provided, the fields are made active or inactive in the table control.
So the looping is at the table control.
cols is the name of the table control.
Revert if you have any other querries.
    Reward if helpfull.

  • Open and editor windown from a dialog screen.

    Hi,
Does anybody know how to open an editor window to write large text notes (1,000 chars or more) from a dialog screen?
Then how this data is stored on a table?
I need to save large amounts of text and I have seen this on SAP transactions.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Orlando.

Oh, I see.  I would not suggest using a sapscript editor. I would use the text editor that I mentioned early.  If you really want that functionality of the sapscript editor, you can do that.  Either way you will need to create a custom text object/id to save your text to the db.  Here is an example of using the sapscript editor.
    report zrich_0002.
    data: header type THEAD.
data: txt_lines type table of tline with header line.

  • I inadvertedly changed a setting where the top of my screen no longer shows the apple logo in the top left or the clock and wifi status and strength on the top of the screen, how can I get it to show both of these things again like it used to?

I inadvertedly must have changed a setting where the apple logo and files and things that used to be in the top left corner of the screen are no longer there as the clock and wifi status and other installed settings used to show up in the top right hand corner of my screen.  When I move my mouse to the very top of the screen they drop down but when I move my arrow away from the very top of the screen they both disappear again.  So I was wondering how can I get it to revert back to the way it used to be?  I hope this isnt confusing.

I tried the zoom thing but it still didnt resolve my issue   Im gonna try to clarify my issue a little bit more, before the change, my screen when I would surf the web would have the apple logo and safari and file and edit and view buttons at the top left hand of the screen and the upper right hand screen would have the time and the wifi strength and my name and the spotlight box and a volume control but now they dont show while Im browsing the web unless I take my arrow and move it to the very top of the screen then those boxes will drop down like it used to be but when I take my arrow and move it from the top of the screen it disappears again and ll I get is a back and forward arrow and the url input bar.  Anyone else have any ideas of what I did to mess this up?

  • Screen Painter and pf status

    hi experts...
I want to create my own screen for my program...please guide me how to create and what is pf status and its use...

    Hi Sugumar
For creating your own screen.. Just follow the under mentioned steps
    Just write
    <b>CALL SCREEN XXX   ( in SE38 Editor)</b>
then double click on the XXX ( screen number which you have specified )
It'll take you to the next screen where you you will see the following set of statements
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE STATUS_0100.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100.
YOu just have to de comment the above mentioned statements.
    Then  double click on
    MODULE STATUS_0100
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100  respectively.
It will generate a code in se38 editor like this
    MODULE STATUS_0100 OUTPUT.
    SET PF-STATUS 'xxxxxxxx'.
    SET TITLEBAR 'xxx'.
    ENDMODULE.                 " STATUS_0100  OUTPUT
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100 INPUT.
    ENDMODULE.                 " USER_COMMAND_0100  INPUT
Then you just have to punch in the logic as desired.
    <b>Regarding  *  SET PF-STATUS 'xxxxxxxx'</b>
The purpose of this statemnt is to provide icons/ functions on application toolbar and menu toolbar at the o/p screen.
This is how we do it :
just provide a name to XXXX by decommenting it
    for example   SET PF-STATUS 'ZITP_GV_ALV_GRID'.
    Then double click on "'ZITP_GV_ALV_GRID'"
it will take you to the next screen.
On that screen  you just ahve to provide the
icons / functions which you want on your application and menu toolbar respectively..
so that you can use them while you are seeing the O/P of your program.
    one eg :
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100 INPUT.
    IF SY-UCOMM = 'EXIT'.
      LEAVE PROGRAM.
    ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.
This exit button is there on menu toolbar
SO when you will press exit on the menu toolbar ( ^^^ the code wil be executed and it'll take you bac to se38 editor)
I hope this information helps !!

I don't know the particular API calls you need for that, but here's the general way to access Windows innards:
Use the CALL LIBRARY function, and point it to ADVAPI32.dll.
This particular call is set up to call "GetUserNameA", returning the logged-in user's name.
If there's an API for what you need, then configure this function to go call it.

  • Present a dialog screen to the user that always stays open and gets updated with values from teststand.

    Hello,
I'm new to TestStand and just created my first sequences with TS and LV.
The program is running fine but now I need to implemented a dialog screen with some progress results for the user.
This dialog screen must stay open (unless closed by the user) and gets refreshed with the latest analysis results from TestStand.
Is there an example of something like that. (starting from a working example is always easier)
So I need a mechanism to give some results from TestStand to a custom made dialog screen in LabVIEW.
    Any thoughts/examples/recommandations ???
    Thanks!

    Hi noxus,
The basic design you are looking for is a daemon, This is basically a VI that runs in the background (your dialog VI for example). This VI is launched dynamicly when needed. And there should be a way of detecting if the deamon is running.
You can use various ways of communicating between VI's. The two most use full I find either Queues or TCP. The added bonus for TCP is that it also works over the Network, but could also be slower and blocked by Firewalls. Queues only work within the LabVIEW Process running on the Local machine and provide a nice way of detecting if the daemon VI is running.
Attached a example that show how you can implement something like this. The 'sent new value.vi' obtains a queue reference, we check if it has created a new queue or if it returned an existing queue reference. If the obtain queue created a new queue this means the daemon is not running and we launch the deamon.vi.
The daemon also connects to the same queue and maintains the reference. If the deamon is closed the referenced is closed as well and the queue is destroyed.
You can run the example VI. (in LabVIEW 8.2).
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Adding a Forward functionality on the Workitem dialog screen itself

    Hi SDM forum members,
I am having some issues with adding a forward functionality to a custom dialog screen.
I  tried to add a forward button on the WI screen , which in the background calls a fm that basically calls
SWL_SELECT and then SWL_WI_FORWARD FM , for some reason the forwarding does not complete as expected .To explain further , suppose i am forwarding to X user the the WI still shows up in my inbox , and Workflow log shows both users assigned as agent( me and X) and though there is forwarded icon against user X  in the log -> view agent box . The Wi status is ERROR.
    example of error-
Error handling for work item 000000055578
    Message no. SWF_RUN630
This explians nothing to me but my guess is the issue is that WI gets completed because i execute it while forwarding it .
Now if i get the WI id and input it to the above mentioned FM (se37) then it is forwards correctly.i can see the change in SWI1 log too. it is assigned correctly to user X with the forwarded icon and everything.
So  i thought maybe i need to change the status of the Wi back to ready , but that is not possible, can't go back in status, Error again  .So i tried doing exit_cancelled in the WF , that does not work either , because that does not  forward the WI  atall.
So my question is has anybody forwarded the WI  by providing an option on the WI execute screen? Is it possible using the SWW fm's ?
Please let me know if anybody has any  solutions / ideas/ thoughts.
I wish i could put in some screensshots , but anyways i hope you understand what i am saying , if not maybe i can elaborate further later.
    thank you ,
    Preeta

    Hi,
    Try with these FM's:
    SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM
    And for information: SAP_WAPI_FORWARDING_INFO_GET
PS: Status change from COMPLETED to READY is not allowed/possible

  • Dialog Screen Need in report

    Hi Gurus ,
I want to call a  Dialog screen with date as input parameter in a report program based upon some condition. There is a already selection screen.
Plz guide me how can i do it. Points will be rewarded.
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
The requirement below is not clear, however, why dont you add the date input parameter as part of the selection screen itself, as a separate parameter. Now, you can modify the attributes of the input parameter using MODIFY SCREEN command and also use the events INITIALIZATION, AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT etc. to program the conditions you are referring to.
If you can explain your requirement in a little more details, we can help out.
    Regards,
    Aditya
